Peggy finished the report she was reading and closed it. It was the last thing she had to do for the day and she was more than ready to return home to her husband.

That was when there was a knock on the door, causing Peggy to sigh.

"Come in," she called.

One of the younger agents, a young man in his early twenties who essentially had the duties of an intern, entered the room.

"There is a gentleman waiting for you in the lobby, ma'am."

"Did he identify himself?" she replied, raising an eyebrow at him.

"All he said was to tell you that he's still making up for being late, ma'am."

Peggy smiled a little. She knew exactly who was waiting for her. "Thank you. I will go and see him now."

When Peggy arrived in the lobby, she saw the man in question, wearing a hat low enough to shade the top half of his face and sporting an unfashionable beard to cover the bottom half. He stood slouched, trying to hide his large imposing frame and in his hands he held a bunch of black-eyed Susans.

"I picked these for you," Steve told her softly, once she was stood by him. "I thought we might go dancing today."

Peggy smiled and took the flowers in her hands, before looping her arm through his offered one. "That sounds perfect."
