August 7th, 2008
Day 7
Xandar sat in the coffee shop with Charlie, wearing a genuine smile. "So," Xandar began, "How's the coffee?"
Charlie chuckled. "It's good. Though honestly, I haven't had it in a while. Not since the night shift." Xandar chuckled as well. It was true, normally coffee is reserved for a day or night shift.
"Yeah," Xandar replied. "I like coffee too. At least now I can drink it peacefully."
"Hey," Charlie started to say. "Did you hear that Freddy's closing next month?" She asked.
"I didn't," Xandar said in surprise. "I thought it'd be open for a while longer."
"Well, after you quit, Bob went public. Or at least, he decided it shouldn't stay open. Guess his guilt got the better of him."
"I agree. If I were in his shoes though, I would have closed it long ago." Xandar knew Bob had guilt. But hearing this news gave him peace. Freddy's fame has officially died out. And he was happy about it. Now though? He and Charlie were going to date for many years to come. And he was content.
