Little One, Little Danger
(The Revision)
Chapter 2:
Little Visitor
The next morning Raven woke up in her bed with a throbbing headache, "Ow…what…what happened last night?" She sat up and let her eyes scan the areas of her room, relieved to realize that she was alone. Pulling back the weighted bedcovers, Raven noticed the pajamas she was wearing. "Great. One of them had to change me." The thought of one of her teammates needs to undress her made the girl groan internally. Though she was certain it was Starfire because the boys KNEW better. Though the clothes were probably fresh, she still felt grungy from the battle which meant she craved a much needed shower. Raven swung her legs over the side of the bed to stand and just as she did, the door to her room opened. Robin stepped inside.
"Hey! How's it going?" He had a smile on his face.
Raven sighed, "By all means, don't knock, I wasn't naked or anything."
Robin's smile immediately dropped and he wanted to kick himself, "Oh…right! Sorry I…I actually thought you still might be asleep and—"
"It's fine." The girl sat on the edge of the bed.
Robin let out a single nervous chuckle, "Right. So, I guess you're not feeling the greatest?"
"No…I'm fine. Just have a splitting headache."
"I'd take that over the many cuts and bruises any day heh, but sorry."
Raven took notice of the tray within his hands, "Don't tell me you brought me breakfast?"
The team leader looked down at the contents within his possession before lifting his gaze to her with a grin, "Yeah, it was Cy's idea. You know how he gets when the next morning after a mission comes around. Figured you'd be too out of it to make it down."
"By your cheerful attitude this morning, I assume we were victorious."
"Did you ever doubt us hehe. Things got a bit hairy at the end though…with you being thrown off the roof and all." He placed the meal tray beside her.
Raven raised a brow, "I was thrown off a roof?"
"Yeah. Apparently, my doppelganger thought it would be a good way to get under my skin."
"You'd think he'd know better heh."
Robin raised a brow a bit confused by her statement, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing." She tore of a small piece of the available waffle, "But I'm sure you had no issue in saving me."
He chuckled, "What makes you think I was the one who saved you?"
"Because I know you, remember." Raven popped the waffle piece into her mouth.
Robin only gave her a smile, "Yeah, you do." He then pulled back a loose strand of hair behind her ear before heading to the door. "There are painkillers on your dresser that I left last night, just in case. Take two and rest up a bit more."
Raven watched as he exited her room, the dooring closing behind him. The corners of her mouth slightly rose, "He always has to be the hero."

"How is she man?" Cyborg was in a heated game with Beastboy on the gameStation.
Robin plopped himself down on the couch next to them, "Aside from having a headache, she's doing fine." He then noticed their other teammate was missing, "Say, where's Starfire?"
"She went to the mall to find something to wear."
"A new outfit? What's the occasion?"
"Don't know, she didn't say."
Robin yawned as he stood and walked to the kitchen. He browsed the fridge for a snack but the inside was bare of anything, "Star should've gone grocery shopping instead." Robin sighed as he closed the fridge door and headed back to the living room. "Hey, you guys I'm gonna head out to the store for some groceries." Cyborg and BB stopped their game to turn to him as the burst into laughter. "What's so funny?"
"Dude seriously, YOU grocery shopping! Hahahahaha!"
"Yeah man! You must've hit your head last night! Just get one of the girls to make a run."
Their comments irritated him a little as a vein throbbed on his temple, "I don't know if you idiots forgot or not, but Raven is still resting and Star is out. Plus, I think I can handle it."
"Whatever you say." The two replied before resuming their match on the gaming system. Robin shook his head at them and then walked over to the island counter to retrieve his wallet. He then grabbed the keys to the T-car and headed out the front door.

Sometime later…
Cyborg jumped up victorious, "Booya baby! In your face Beastboy!"
"Dude that was some underhanded cheating!"
"Oh don't be a sore loser, little grass stain." Cyborg joked, remembering the name Doppel-Starfire gave the boy.
BB's eye twitched, "What did you call me?"
"You heard me." Cyborg grinned, "Little GRASS STAIN."
"That's it, you're asking for it now!" Beastboy lunged at him, only for his efforts to fail because of Cyborg's quickly standing up to run off. His green friend began to chase him until the sound of the front door grasped their attention.
"Friends! I am back from the shopping!" Starfire flew into the living room and sat on the couch, a few bags in hand.
"That's great Star, but I'm in the middle of giving Cyborg a good beating."
"But I have bought you all gifts. Can you halt your butt-kicking until after they are given out?"
"Gifts?! Sure, I'll just get him when he least expects it."
"Oh many thanks Beastboy!" Starfire reached inside one of the shopping bags and pulled out a blue gift bag. "This is for you Cyborg."
Their partially mechanical friend took the item from her, "Really?" He peered inside and immediately grinned from ear as he retrieved the pie inside, pulling it out. "Thanks Star!" It was his favorite flavor.
"I hoped it would be most acceptable for you!" Starfire clapped with a grin. "Now for Beastboy." Out she pulled a green gift bag this time and BB didn't hesitate in taking it from her with a smile.
Instead of peeking in the bag he immediately stuck a hand inside to pull out the contents, "Dude! This game isn't even on sale yet! How did you afford it?!"
"Do you like it as well?" Star clasped her hands together.
"Like it? I love it! One of the most awesome gifts I've ever gotten Star, thanks!" The boy gave her a quick and tight hug before removing the plastic from the game's casing.
"That makes me very happy." The girl smiled.
Cyborg sat down beside her, "I'm glad Star but…BB's right, how did you pay for these gifts?"
Starfire turned to him, "I have saved up some money for this day of course."
He raised a brow, "What day?"
"Today is the birth of Tamaran, my home!"

Robin had looked down every aisle for cereal but could not for the life of him locate it, "Need some help cutie?" He turned around to find a blonde-haired girl with a basket full of groceries. "Uh…yeah, I guess. Cereal?"
"Well, it would help if you took notice of the signs above. Like the one to our right that says 'cereal'." She pointed at a sign that he clearly wasn't aware of.
Robin blushed a bit embarrassed, "Wow, really. Where is my brain today."
The girl chuckled, "Clearly in the clouds."
"Thanks for the help."
"No problem." She outstretched her hand, "I'm Karen by the way."
Robin shook her hand, "Robin. Nice to meet you."
"Ah, I thought I recognized you. You're the leader of the teen titans, aren't you?"
"Yeah, in a way hehe." He chuckled nervously.
"Such modesty." Karen grinned, "Though it's surprising to see such a busy guy out shopping. Doesn't your girlfriend handle it for you?"
Robin was instantly confused, "My…girlfriend?"
"The orangey one in the purple outfit. You two are a couple, right?"
The cheeks of his face burned red from embarrassment, "N-No we're not…nothing like that is going on between us. People keep assuming but we're really just close friends." Why did he feel like he had to justify that fact?"
"Really?" Karen's smile grew, "If that's the case, here's my number if you want to hang out sometime hero." She wrote a five-digit number on a scrap of paper and handed it to Robin before heading on her way, giving him a wink.
After another thirty minutes or so, the Titans' leader found himself waiting in the check-out line. To his right he could overhear a young couple arguing about what would be served for their dinner that night. Robin simply shook his head, being thankful that he was still young and nowhere near getting to the part of his life; marrying someone…IF he ever decided that was something he wanted for himself. He could always follow in his mentor's footsteps and enjoy the single life. Just as the thought crossed his mind, his communicator went off and he immediately grabbed for it. "Robin here, what's the issue?"
"A bit on edge aren't you, Dick." Speak of the devil. Robin looked at the communicator's screen and saw the grinning face of Bruce Wayne.
"Hey, Bruce. What's up?"
"Nothing really that needs to be discussed. How are things with you and the Titans?"
"Good…just fine. Still living and fighting crime."
"Of course. Keep up the good work. I'm sure you know I didn't call to simply 'catch up'."
Robin grinned, "Sure, what is it?" It was finally his turn to check-out and he began to place his grocery items on the available belt.
"I need a favor."
"Really?" The boy raised a brow and then gave the cashier a faint smile and nod before turning his attention back to the device in his hand, "Trouble in Gotham?"
"No, I got that covered."
"Then wha-?"
"I'm inviting you and your team to a gathering I'm having at the manor this weekend."
"This weekend? That's a bit of a short notice Bruce." Robin completed his check-out process and exited the store, heading in the direction of the T-car across the parking lot.
"I thought I taught you to always expect the unexpected Dick."
Robin smirked, "Fine. We'll be there."
"Exactly what I wanted to hear. See you then."
The boy nodded as he opened the car trunk, "Yeah, see you."
"Oh, and Alfred says hello." The call soon ended and Robin couldn't help but grin to himself, shaking his head as he loaded up the last few bags before hopping into the car's driver's seat to head back to the tower.

[Titans Tower]
Starfire was just about done setting up decorations for the party she was throwing for the birth of Tamaran. "Where did you say Robin traveled to again?"
"The grocery store." BB answered.
She, Cyborg and Beastboy shared a laugh at their leader's expense, "That is still so humorous to me!" Star wiped a tear from her eye as she laid out some Tamaranian dishes on their dining table.
Beastboy walked over and examined the food cautiously, "Um Starfire…is any of this edible?"
"Why yes Beastboy, everything is to eating." The girl turned to him with a big smile.
"You sure? Because I don—"
Cyborg rushed over to place a hand over the green boy's mouth, shutting him up. "What BB here is trying to say is that we can't WAIT to dig into some of this authentic food that you so LOVING prepared for us."
"Mm?" Beastboy mumbled through his friend's hand.
"Right BB?" Cyborg nudged him, causing the boy to smile and nod in agreement.
Raven had left her room only to find the living room basically splashed with decorations. "What's going on?"
Her teammates turned her way, "Hey Raven, shouldn't you still be resting?" Cyborg addressed her while placing a stack of paper plates on the island bar.
"It is two o'clock in the afternoon; I think I have the right to get up whenever I feel like it."
"So you're good then?"
"Good enough."
Starfire flew over to the dark-natured girl and hugged her to Raven's dismay, "Oh friend Raven! Please join us for the birth of Tamaran!" Star released her and took a step back with a smile.
Raven adjusted her uniform, "Is that what all the decorations are for?"
"Yes!"
"Right." Raven then noticed one of them was absent, "So where did our fearless leader go?"
Her three present teammates exchanged glances and then turned back to her to simultaneously respond, "Went grocery shopping."
Raven lightly chuckled to herself, "Starting with the party games already, because there's no way…" She noticed that they weren't joking, "You have got to be kidding."

As Robin pulled the T-car into the garage, he noticed one of Cyborg's custom maintenance lights come on; he'd bring up to the guy later. He gathered on the grocery bags and headed towards the elevator.
Inside, the others had the radio at full blast while Cyborg and Beastboy danced. Suddenly the front door flung open with Robin standing in the entrance. "Can I get a hand here?!"
His team looked his way and then burst into laughter. Raven used her dark telekinesis to relieve him of the bags, "Got it." She maneuvered the bags towards the kitchen, placing them upon one of the counters.
"Thanks Raven."
"Don't mention it, grocery boy." Laughter broke out again between his friends while Raven simply smirked.
"Ha ha ha…you are all very funny." Robin took a look at the living room that seemed to have been decorated since he left. "What's all this for?"
Starfire approached him, wrapping her arms around him for a big hug, "The birth of Tamaran!"
Her grip was so tight and Robin found it hard for him to breathe, "Um…Star…I…can't…your grip..."
"Oh I'm so sorry Robin!" The girl immediately released him and he gasped for air.
"Alright you two, break it up. It's party time!" Cyborg bobbed his head as he amplified the radio speakers with an invention of his and pushed them towards the area they made into a dance floor.

1 hour later…
The Titans gathered around as Starfire tried to think of a party game they could play, "How about the music of chairs?"
"Star that's musical chairs, and no." Raven took a sip of the cola she decided to have, instead of her usual herbal tea. "What would you say to a game of 'what if' truth or dare?"
"Oh sweet! Um…what's 'what if' truth or dare?" BB thought to aloud.
Raven rolled her eyes, "You ask someone a hypothetical question of 'what if' that kind of replaces the 'truth' aspect of the game that needs to be answered truthfully. The dare part remains unchanged."
"Sounds good to me! Let's start!" Cyborg rubbed his hands together eager to throw some uncomfortable questions at his friends.
It was decided that Raven would start things off since it was her idea. She knew who was first on the chopping block, "Cyborg, what if truth or dare?"
"What if, truth."
"Taking the easy way out already, what a shame." Raven sighed, "But fine…here's my question, if Bumble Bee entered the tower right now wearing that bikini of hers that you adore so much…" She could already see the young man starting to turn red in the face; she simply smirked, "…and the rest of us was not around, would you honestly be able to control yourself?"
"Wha…" Cyborg could barely get the word out, "What kind of question is that?!"
Robin and Beastboy laughed, "Raven coming out guns blazing already haha!"
"Just answer the question." She sipped on her drink.
"Of course I'd be able to control myself! I'm a gentleman alright, not some…some…!"
"Pervert?" Beastboy teasingly completed his sentence.
"Exactly! Now!" Cy chugged the rest of his soda and turned to his victim, "Beastboy, what if truth or dare?"
"Dude, dare all the way." BB chuckled until he saw Cyborg's mouth form a devilish grin which got him nervous, "Um…is it too late to change my choice?"
"Indeed, too late hehe."
"Aw man!"
"Beastboy I dare YOU…to have a serving of each one of Star's Tamaranian special puddings."
"What?! Oh, that's so not fair!"
"Such an easy task for you friend Beastboy." Star smiled, "I shall prepare them for you, all twenty flavorings." The girl soon flew off in the direction of the kitchen, leaving Beastboy already with a bad taste in his mouth as he frowned.
It was his turn, "Robin, what if truth or dare?"
"What if truth. I am NOT helping you eat any of those puddings haha."
BB narrowed his eyes at him a bit letdown and annoyed, "That wouldn't have been your dare anyway. Hmm…" He thought about what a good question would be to throw their leader's way. "Ah, got it! Okay okay, so do you think you would be able to survive Starfire's wrath if you two were a couple, but you end up getting caught sharing a kiss with Raven?" Raven and Robin both choked on their drinks at the question while Cyborg burst into laughter giving their green friend a high-five of approval.
Robin rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he blushed, "Beastboy…what the hell?"
"Just answer the question man." Cyborg grinned while Raven sat there, a bit annoyed that she wasn't being acknowledged though she was a part of the stupid question.
Robin sighed a bit frustrated, "IF that were the case in some twisted reality of yours, I'd like to think that—"
"Yes or no dude haha! It's not that hard!"
He sighed again, "No. I'd be a dead man."
"No doubt!" Cyborg laughed as he shared another high-five with Beastboy who fist-pumped.
Robin shifted his gaze to meet Raven's who had a raised brow, "Twisted reality?"
"Well…you know heh." He shrugged while chuckling nervously once again.
Starfire finally returned with Beastboy's puddings, "I hope I did not miss anything flowing with juices."
"Nothing of the sort." Raven gave her drink another sip.

Sometime later…
The Titans were still engulfed in their game, even after playing for over an hour and a half. Cyborg just finished his turn, "Okay Robin, you're up." He then stood to make his way to the kitchen for a fresh soda. Back in the living room Robin's victim ended up being Raven who had chosen dare. Suddenly the doorbell to the tower chimed, "I'll get it!" Cyborg shouted from the kitchen before heading to the door. Once he opened the door, there was no sign of anyone that he could see.
"Um…h-hello."
Cyborg looked down a bit startled at the soft voice that he heard only to find a little girl standing in the doorway, "Oh shi…! Whoa, you startled me there kid. Can I help you?"
"I-I think I'm lost."
"You're lost? I'm sorry." He bent down to be eyelevel with her, "Where's your folks?"
"I'm looking for my daddy and someone gave me directions that led here."
Cyborg raised a brow, "Really? I don't think anyone that's ever lost a kid would come here. How old are you?"
"Six."
"And you're out here all by yourself?!" The little girl nodded sadly on the verge of tears. "What's your name?"
She sniffed, "Raiden."
"Nice to meet you little Raiden, I'm Cyborg." He gave her a smile to help cheer her up.
"Nice to meet you."
"Any chance you can tell me your dad's name?"
"His last name is Grayson, but I think he goes by the name Robin."
Cyborg fell silent as a gust of wind blew over him…he then chuckled, "Oh wow…did he…did he put you up to this?"
"I don't know what you mean…*sniff*…" Raiden was on the verge of tears again, "…I just want my daddy."
Cyborg had to stop his antics when he noticed that the little girl in front of him was serious, "Hey don't cry…um…h-how 'bout you show me a picture of your dad if you have one."
"I…I have one." She pulled a picture out from the small bag on her back and handed it over to Cyborg.
The young man couldn't believe his eyes as he examined the individual in the picture. It was…Robin, but perhaps a slightly older version of their team leader. Maskless wearing a white tee and a pair of blue jeans. There was a handwritten message on the back that read:
"To my darling daughter Raiden, may I always stay in your heart and you stay in mines. Love, daddy."
Cyborg examined the handwriting and there was no mistaking it…it matched Robin's. "Raiden, w-why don't you come on in." He stood and led the girl inside, gaze still on the photo in hand as he closed the door behind her.
