Little One, Little Danger
(The Revision)

Chapter 3:
"Shocking News"

Cyborg looked at the little girl as she stood in front of the front door dressed in a simple purple shirt and pair of navy-blue jean shorts. There was a black knit cap situated on her head and on her back, a black mesh string bag. "Follow me Raiden." He stealthily led her to the kitchen, making sure the others didn't spot them.

"Hey, Cyborg! Who was at the door?!" Robin called out.

Cyborg sighed before addressing the girl, "Raiden, you mind waiting here for just a moment?" She nodded as a reply that she understood and he gave her a smile. He then left the kitchen and reentered into the living room nervously, "Hey um…Robin, think we could talk really quick?"

"Talk?" Their leader turned to him with a raised brow, "Sure, but who was at the door?"

"Yeah see…about that…" Cyborg began to chuckle nervously while rubbing the back of his head. "…it's kind of funny actually."

Robin chuckled, "You're acting weird man, don't tell me it was the girl scouts again."

The others focused their attention on Cyborg as he moved to take a seat on the couch. Feeling their gazes on him made him a bit uncomfortable, which was rare on his part. He then realized that someone was missing, "Where'd Raven go?"

"To her room to go get that thing that was on her thing that she bought at the thing the other day…I think." BB sipped on his soda gaining dumbfounded looks from his friends.

Robin shook his head and turned back to Cyborg. "Anyway, what's up Cy?"

"Right…um…see, the thing is…" He was having a difficult time in getting the words out.

"Just spit it out dude." BB laughed.

"Shut it man!" Cyborg snapped a little, "This is something very hard get out."

Their teammate's sudden outburst took them by surprise but Robin couldn't help but nod in agreement, "Let's give him some time Beastboy and hear him out. It must be really important to get him this serio—" A sudden sound from the kitchen interrupted his statement.

"What was that?" Starfire inched closer to Robin.

Sweat dripped down the side of Cyborg's face and he gave his friends a "give me one moment" before getting up to head back to the kitchen. Raiden was fumbling around with a soda can she was trying to pry from its plastic ring of the other available three. "Uh…Raiden?"

"Hi! I got thirsty, but this is so hard."

He smiled, "Here." Cyborg took the cans from her and removed one of them, handing it to her.

"Thank you." The little girl smiled at him as she held the can in her small hands.

"Cyborg?! What are you doing in there?!" BB shouted out.

"I'm coming! Sheesh." He rolled his eyes a bit annoyed and then focused back on Raiden. "Ready to meet the guy you're looking for?" She nodded and took a sip of her soda before grabbing one of his hands. "Well then, let's do this." Cyborg led them out of the kitchen.

Robin sipped on a soda as he watched Beastboy and Starfire who were anxiously waiting the return of their friend. Cyborg went to check out a noise in the kitchen which could've been a mouse or something so it shouldn't be taking him that long. Raven on the other hand…he sighed…once the girl is in her room it could be hard to get her back out at times. "Robin, are you okay?" The boy's thoughts were interrupted by the hand Starfire waved within his view.

He shook his head of his thoughts, "Yeah Star, I'm fine."

"Guys?" Cyborg finally returned, grasping their attention and they began to question him all at once.

"Dude what was in the kitchen?" BB was clearly freaked out.

"Hey, you had something to tell me right? What is it?" Robin folded his arms across his chest.

"Does something needs that of destroying?" Starfire lifted a hand, gathering energy within its palm.

Cyborg wasn't given a chance to respond to any of their questions as his head began to spin and he just couldn't take it anymore. "Would you all SHUT up!" His friends immediately fell silent, startled by his scolding. He exhaled and sighed before turning to the team's leader, "Robin…there's someone that wants to meet you."

"It's either a crazed fan or a pet if it's taken you this long to come out with it." Robin raised a brow.

Cyborg lowered his head and let out a single chuckle, "Well, you'll see soon enough." Their teammate retreated back to the kitchen again but it only took him a moment to come back, positioned like he was hiding something behind his back. "So…*sigh*…this is going to seem strange and might freak you guys out."

Robin wasn't sure if he should seem amused or nervous, "Doubt it. We've seen a lot of strange things and people on our missions. Can't be stranger than any of those."

"Whatever you say man." Cyborg shook his head and reached behind him to bring Raiden into view, positioning her in front of him to stand before the others.

"What's up with the little girl?" BB cocked his head a bit confused and being ignored.

"Robin, this is Raiden." Cyborg introduced.

Their leader approached the girl and bent down to shake her hand, "Hey there Raiden, I'm Robin." A smile spread across her face as it lit up and happiness filled her. Before any of them knew it, she moved into his arms and hugged him. Robin was caught a bit off guard and looked up at Cyborg, "Is she a fan? Doesn't seem so strange to me."

"Yeah well…" Cyborg crossed his arms across his chest, "…let's see if you still think that way once you hear who she believes you are."

"And who would that be?"

"Her father."

Robin's face fell as it turned pale, "Her what?"

"Her dad dude, didn't you hear him." BB spoke loudly.

Raiden finally released her hold on him and Robin stook a few steps bask, silence falling over the room. He then burst into laughter, unable to breathe, "Cyborg man, you really had me going! This girl scout might be young but paying her to pull something like this…I got to hand it to you hahahahaha!"

Cyborg turned to Raiden who seemed to be oblivious to his leader's reaction since she was still beaming with happiness. He then turned to Robin; facial expression serious though Robin took that as a joke as well. Cyborg approached him and placed Raiden's photo within his hand. Robin's eyes immediately fell upon it and after examining it for a few moments…his laughter began to die down until it completely ceased. He lifted his gaze to lock with Cyborg's, look at Raiden and then back down at the photo. "This belongs to her?"

"Yeah, man. I thought it might've been a joke too, but when she showed me this…"

Starfire walked over to Robin and took a glance at the photo. "Robin…when did you have an offspring?"

"I didn't Star. Not that I know of anyway." He looked towards their visitor, "Little gir-I mean…Raiden? Where did you get this picture?"

The girl's eyes were filled with slight confusion, "From you. I've had it for as long as I can remember."

"What's with all the shouting?" Raven returned to the living room, to their surprise since it's been a while. She looked over everyone until her eyes fell on Raiden, who she clearly remembered not being there when she left. "Who's the kid?"

"Apparently Robin's daughter!" BB chuckled.

Raven folded her arms beneath her chest, "Please. Robin can barely take care of himself, let alone a child. Not to mention we all know he's still a vir—"

"Raven!" Robin coughed, "That's enough." He sighed, "Besides…Raiden is telling a different story."

"Raiden?" Raven raised a brow.

"The kid Raven, Robin's daughter." Beastboy shook his head, "Keep up will ya."

The dark-natured girl still wasn't buying it, "Okay fine, I'll play along, though I never saw Robin as the 'fatherly' type. But if we believe what this kid is saying is true, then we have to ask three important questions." She took steps towards their group, "Who, when and HOW?"

"Pfft…" Beastboy snicked, "…like we don't know the HOW."

Cyborg nodded, "Nah…she does have a point. It is Robin."

Their leader's eye twitched in agitation, "Can we not discuss this please."

"Then the when and who?" Starfire suggested.

Robin sighed, "Not helping Star."

"Knowing Robin, it was probably some drive-in movie or Bruce's batcave." Raven chimed in.

Cyborg snapped his fingers, "Dang, you know about that fantasy too?"

Robin's face turned bright red, "Guys! Seriously?!"

"Now that the 'when' is settled…hey kid!" Beastboy walked over to her and crouched down, "Can you tell us who your mom is?"

"What?! No way! That's not necessary because it wouldn't be true!" Robin panicked.

"That's because it's probably Starfire." Cyborg said beneath his breath.

Robin's ear caught the statement anyway, causing the redness in his face to intensify, "W-What?! No, it-!" He shook his head of his thoughts and turned to Raiden who was whispering back and forth with Cyborg.

They stopped and faced him, "Uncle Cy told me to tell you, that if you don't let me speak about mama, that he will bring up an embarrassing situation that happened last week at the mall in the arcade."

Robin's face dropped, "You wouldn't?" Cyborg gave him a sly smile and he knew his teammate was good on his threats. "Heh…uncle Cy huh? Fine. Talk about who your mom is. I don't care."

Raiden moved to stand in the middle of the obscured circle the Titans made and removed her bag, placing on the nearest chair. "My mother was very pretty, but a little on the shy side." She turned Raven's way, "Daddy said she didn't really fit in or get along with others much, but he loved her a lot and was very sad after she disappeared."

"Your mom went missing?" Cyborg's heart ached for the little girl.

"Yes, but he never forgot his love for her and worked hard. Mama too…used to work hard and make our home a happy place, by cooking and cleaning and playing games." Raiden smiled as she clapped her hands.

Raven snickered, "Why am I not surprised that he chose the typical housewife."

"Let's remember that I'm not married please." Robin sighed.

Cyborg and Beastboy began to chuckle, "Yeah, but it's like almost looking into your future so, it's basically the same thing."

"I don't see how." Their leader mumbled.

Starfire approached Raiden and crouched down, "Little Raiden, I'm so sorry about your mother. What was her name?" Her question got the others to fall silent and turn their attention to the little girl.

Beastboy grinned, "Oh I gotta hear this."

"Mama's name?" Raiden bit her lip slightly, "It was…her name was…"

"Don't you remember?" Beastboy raised a brow.

"Hey, show some sympathy man." Cyborg hit him upside his head.

Raiden looked at the two boys and lowered her head to close her eyes, taking a deep breath. "Mama's name was…" She slowly removed her knit cap, "…Rachel Roth Grayson. But at the moment, you know her as Raven." Silence fell over the entire room falling harder than it's ever done the entire evening. Looking upon the little girl, they noticed that without her cap she can ebony black hair that was cut almost in the exact same style as their dark-natured teammate. There was also a small gem that rested in the middle of her forehead that matched Raven's. When she saw this, Raven took a step back and let out a single nervous chuckle before feeling herself on the verge of passing out. Though soon enough, she actually did and Robin involuntarily followed suit; the both of them hitting the floor. Cyborg, Beastboy and Starfire just stood there confused and shocked while Raiden grinned to herself giggling, "They're funny right! I missed them so much!"
