Look I know what you're thinking: "What the fuck?! This shit isn't fucking Zane Williams!"

Yeah I know lmao. This is a new story my boyfriend and I wanted to write together, about a piece of entertainment that we both personally enjoy, that being the Disney Descendants franchise. Unlike a lot of people who probably read fanfics from the Descendants tag, I didn't grow up with this franchise in the slightest lol. My boyfriend did, however, and showed me, which caused me to actually really enjoy it lmao. Yeah, thesuperone342, the guy who wrote about an anime style Percy Jackson fanfic with death, gay sex, and universal destruction that's longer than the entire Bible, likes Descendants. Giant shocker lmao.

Anyway, this one is about two new OCs within the mainline story of the Descendants movies. Not exactly a very original idea, I know, but I'll use my extensive writing experience and almost passable writing ability to make this one as enjoyable as possible. Not going to reveal anything about the story just yet, want to actually let everyone read about the characters rather than give a 'obvious first story' rundown on the OCs. We're going to try and do this better this time.

Anyway, hope y'all enjoy this first chapter, and know that there's going to be a HELL of a lot more of these.

(DISCLAIMER: I don't own anything portrayed here (Except the OCs). If the fact that this is on a Fanfiction site didn't tip you off, you're fucking stupid.)

Anyone ever wonder what happened after the storybook ended?

No? I'm going to tell you anyway. So sit down, shut up and enjoy my extremely poetic retelling of something you should probably know by now.

You might think that think that Fairy Tales are fantasy, that they're stories within the minds of wishful fools that were dealt the worst kind of hand in the world. But trust me, they're not. My mother lived through them.

You ever heard of a young maiden, trapped in a tower by an old woman who longed to live youthfully forever, a maiden with long blonde, magical hair, a maiden who longed to walk the outside world and to see the bright stars in the sky that emerge only on her birthday? The Lost Princess of the Kingdom of Corona, the one with the power to heal and bring life? That maiden?

Yeah, my mom is the one that kidnapped her. Mother Gothel.

Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled program, after all the happily ever after enter the after period, let's just say shit hit the fan. Remember Beauty and the Beast, y'know, Belle and her kidnap-I mean husband, uh…the Beast? Yeah, after they had a giant wedding with six thousand rich people they call their 'friends,' Beast decided to skip his honeymoon and united all the other Fairy Tale kingdoms ruled by all the other Fairy Tale royals, like Charming and Phillip. They formed this gigantic super kingdom called the United States of Auradon, then they all elected Beast as their King. Definitely not a rigged election, not at all.

You know what they decided to do right after this, in all of their 'righteous' intelligence? They forcibly rounded up all the villains, all their minions and every criminal in the entire new nation of Auradon, and threw them on some desolate hellscape known as the Isle of The Lost, even resurrecting already dead villains to further torment and punish them for their 'sins.'

That little tidbit is something that wasn't exactly common knowledge to most people on the isle, as most of the villains are too prideful to tell their children and your average joe they were actually killed. They have a reputation to uphold, at least what was left of it.

After all the undesirables were plopped onto the island, the Fairy Godmother used her magic wand to create an inescapable barrier around the island, trapping every man, woman and child behind the barrier, never to open again.

And they say we're the villains.

However, everything was about to change quicker than I could have ever expected. My entire life, one I've lived the exact same way for sixteen years, would be completely upended, replaced with one filled with adventure, conflict and maybe even a little bit of love.

But before that happened…this did.

(Omniscient POV)

Benjamin Florian, Crown Prince of The United States of Auradon, son of King Beast and Queen Belle, stared out of one of the immaculate stained-glass windows that depict his parent's love story onto the Isle of The Lost, lost in thought.

For as long as he could remember, Ben was always intrigued by the Isle. Not many people in Auradon spoke of it, nor of the inhabitants who had been imprisoned there for their crimes by the Fairy Godmother and his father. Most citizens of Auradon treated the villains and criminals on the island as mothing more than bad memories or a dark bedtime story, something to scare their children with to get them to behave. Eventually, it seemed like they were all forgotten, distant memories of a dark past, while life flourished throughout Auradon. Over time, the villains came together and started families, but the citizens of Auradon believed the children of these villains were just as evil as their parents, if not more.

However, when it comes to the children, Ben's way of thinking had always been different. While the many villains, lowlifes, criminals and minions of the Isle of the Lost (y'know… all the "interesting people") deserved their punishment, the children of these monsters were not to blame for the sins of their parents. They were innocent in the grand scheme of things, and Ben believed they deserved a chance to prove themselves different from the villains who had spawned them.

No one, even some of the most forgiving and righteous people within Auradon thought like Ben did. His entire life, he's had no one to speak to about these thoughts and feelings, as he knew anyone who he tried to speak with would disagree vehemently. The horrific and downright murderous actions of the villains in the past have made almost everyone in Auradon downright hateful towards the villains, to the point where even speaking about them was almost taboo. No one would even entertain his thoughts.

But Ben was less than a month away from being crowned the new King of The United States of Auradon, which would make his word law. Ben, the only person who would even think about helping the children of the Villains of the Isle, would soon be the only person who could help them. He could bring a small number of villain kids from the Isle, maybe about four or five of them, and then try to assimilate them into Auradon society. He could prove to the entire kingdom that the children of those monsters weren't the same as their parents.

Ben, despite his youth and inexperience, knew that a decree like this would be extremely unpopular with the people of Auradon, which would possibly make his early years on the throne even more turbulent than he already knew they were going to be. Ben also knew that this decision could be very risky, too, on the chance that the childrenactually were the monsters that their parents were. That would only serve to make him even more unpopular.

But Ben knew even there was only a tiny chance that the villains' children had the potential to be good, he absolutely had to take it. How could he call himself a good king, or even a good person if he let potentially innocent children rot on an island for things they didn't even do? Despite the potential ramifications that this first decree of his could bring, the decision was really a no brainer.

Ben was so lost in his thoughts about the villains' children that he didn't even notice his mother and father, Queen Belle and King Beast, walk through the doorway into his room where he was getting his measurements done, the Queen holding the former beast's arm. "How is it possible that you're gonna be crowned king next month?" His father chuckled and shook his head as the two entered the room. "You're just a baby!" King Beast exclaimed, a proud and happy smile adorning his features.

King Beast, who had once been a massive, almost demonic looking monster, was now just a man once more, despite still being called Beast. As the years went by, King Beast aged into a handsome middle-aged man, his features almost perfectly mirroring his son. The king's features were adorned with a strong jaw, perfect smile and well kept and combed brown hair, complete with only slight weathering and aging, as he was well into his late forties. Despite being a human again, the Beast was very large, standing at six foot two and looking like he weighed around two hundred and ten pounds, with most of the weight being muscle.

To his left, stood his wife of nearly twenty years, Queen Belle. She looked much the same as she did in her youth, with nearly perfect features and a symmetrical shape to her face. Her hair was cut shorter than when it was in her youth, but it still kept the exact same shade of chocolate brown she always had. She wore an elegant yellow dress, one not as regal and adorned as the dress she wore when she first danced with her husband nearly twenty years ago, but one more comfortable and easier to wear.

Queen Belle jokingly smacked her husband on the shoulder, a knowing smile on her face at her husbands' antics. "He's turning sixteen, dear." Belle shook her head at her husband's good-natured teasing of their son; Beast had always been a joking father.

Ben was ripped out of his thoughts about his first royal decree, quickly shifting his attention from the view of the Isle of The Lost from the window to his parents. "Hey, pops." Ben awkwardly smiled at his father's words, but not at the words themselves. If he was really going to go through with his decree, he was going to have to talk to them about it. He really wasn't looking forward to that conversation, but better go ahead and just get it done with.

King Beast smirked at his wife's words as she separated from his arm to move Ben's casual clothes off the table-top soccer game to the chest in front of his bed. "Sixteen?!" Beast jokingly exclaimed as he took his glasses off and put them in his coat pocket. "That's far too young to be crowned king. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least…forty-two." King Beast's expression was adorned with that of false thinking.

Belle's face dropped as she turned to Beast, her face etched with mock outrage, knowing the monster turned man was simply joking. "Uh…you decided to marry me at twenty-eight." Queen Belle crossed her arms, looking at the King of Auradon with a fake glare, as if daring him to continue.

Beast did exactly so. "Well, it was either you or a teapot." King Beast gave his son both a wink and a smile, prompting the crown prince of Auradon to laugh a little bit. Belle scoffed at Beast's cheeky banter and her glare started to become real a little bit. King Beast chuckled at his wife's ire, shaking his head whilst doing so. "Kidding, kidding."

Ben shook his head and smirked at his parents' antics, mentally comparing them to some of the couples he's seen at Auradon prep in the way that they act. However, the smile dropped off his face as nervousness filled his core. It was time to talk about his first decree. Ben put his hands together, looking between both his mother and father. Ben took a deep breath, hoping this would go well.

"Mom, Dad…" Ben started to walk forwards, but a protest from the left stopped him, the interruption being the servant performing his measurements for Ben's coronation. Ben nearly sighed but continued standing still so the servant could measure him. The Crown Prince of Auradon looked back at his parents, who looked at him expectantly. "I've chosen my first official proclamation."

King Beast and Queen Belle looked at their son in excitement, expecting his first decree to be a momentous occasion, one for the history books. Ben looked over at his parents, afraid that they would be disappointed with his decision, but he decided to stand firm and confident, hoping they would hear him out. He spoke in a clear and confident tone, trying to mask his inner anxiety. "I've decided that the children on the Isle of the Lost be given a chance...to live here in Auradon."

King Beast and Queen Belle's smile instantly dropped, turning into terrified and flabbergasted look. Ben continued, his confidence slightly diminished, as he once again looked out to the Isle of The Lost. "Every time I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned." Ben looked over at Belle, hoping she would hear him out at least, hoping he could appeal to the side that gave Beast another chance when they first met, but unfortunately, he could see the utter terror in her face.

King Beast looked downright outraged at Ben's words, staring at him with an expression filled with incredulity. "The children of our sworn enemies!? Living among us!?" Ben nearly cringed at the sheer anger and disbelief on his father's face, as he knew Beast would have that exact reaction. This already wasn't going very well.

However, Ben wasn't so quick to give, and he wouldn't back down. He had to convince his father of this, how could he call himself fit to be king if he couldn't try to see the good in others? "We start out with a few at first, maybe only four or five, only the ones who need our help the most." Queen Belle's face softened at hearing her son's reasoning, hoping that the villain's darkness hadn't transferred onto their children. Beast's expression, on the other hand, remained hard and cold. "I've already chosen them."

King Beast, knowing his son won't budge on his decision, reluctantly asks, "Have you?" Queen Belle looked up at her husband, locking her arm with his, and smiling while fondly remembering how they first met. She said, endearingly as if she was trying to push through her husband's cold demeanor, "I gave you a second chance. It's only fair to hear him out." King Beast's stern gaze softens at his wife's words as she turns to Ben and says, "Who are their parents?"

This deemed to be the hardest question Ben has ever had to answer, he feels the extensive pressure from his parent's understanding nature. He decided to tell them upright, attempting to keep his confidence intact. He spoke slowly, allowing his parents to react to the names he was about to reveal. "I want to bring the children of Cruella de Vil… Jafar… the Evil Queen… Mother Gothel," he paused, afraid of their reaction from the next villain he was about to name, "And... Maleficent."

King Beast's curious expression instantly shifted into rage, his brow furrowing, and his teeth grinded together, almost as if he was returning to his beastly nature. "MALEFICENT!?" Beast's shout was so loud it seemed to shake the room, with the volume legitimately hurting Ben's eardrums. "She is the worst villain in all the land! She literally cursed an infant child for not being invited to a christening! Any child of hers would be no better than her!" Ben once again cringed at his father's anger. This was going about as well as he expected.

Ben still wouldn't budge on this issue. Even if he couldn't convince his parents to support him, he had to try with all of his heart. "DAD!" Ben's shout was nearly as loud as his father's earlier one, silencing the King of Auradon and causing him to look at his son in shock. "Please, just hear me out! The children of the villains are not their parents. They are innocent in all of this. Why judge them based on the crimes their parents have committed? Mom gave you a second chance, didn't she? Why can't you? Don't you believe they should be able to at least try to have a normal life?"

King Beast saw that his son was not backing down with his decision, and unfortunately to him, it wouldn't be up to him, eventually. Defeatedly, King Beast tried to understand Ben's decision. While he wanted what was best for his kingdom, he trusted his son, hoping he wouldn't regret the decision. King Beast willfully said, "I suppose if you are wanting this with all of your heart, we will be standing right behind you. No matter what my opinions are on this subject. I always know that you will make the right decision."

Queen Belle sighed, hoping that her son was right about his decision, "I just want to add on that I hope you know what you are doing, but I wanted to say that I am very proud of you, Ben." She looked up to her husband, realizing that their darling son was growing up quickly before her eyes. She walked over to her son and hugged him.

Ben was so happy that his parents seemed supportive, yet a bit reluctant, of his plan. He humbly replied, "I promise I won't disappoint you both. We will have to get Auradon ready for their arrival and make them feel welcome. I'll, also, have to make a royal announcement to address to the public."

He began to brainstorm a plan on how to announce this to the public because he knew that his announcement would change everything.

Prologue finished, y'all. Sorry the chapter was so short; it was simply an introduction chapter and the rest will be normal (and y'all motherfuckers know what I mean by normal *cough* 15k words *cough*). This was written in conjunction with my boyfriend, with their writing talent legitimately surprising me with how well they write.

And as for why Zane Williams is taking so goddamn long, all I can say is…I'm sorry. I'm on the final battle of the PJO phase of the fanfiction and I want everything to be perfect. I've rewritten the chapter twice over and I'm going to put my absolute all into the final fight with Luke. Please be patient with me y'all, and trust that I'll deliver on it. I promise that I will.

Anyway, hope everyone enjoyed the prologue, and will be back with MUCH more. See everyone later!

***Hi, this is the boyfriend, I can't believe he doubted me. Anyways, I am extremely excited to begin this, and I am really excited to hear what you all have to say! Ciao~***
