When they pulled apart he rested his forehead against hers and said, "do you have any idea how long I've wanted to do that?", she sighed contently and said, "probably for as long as I've wanted you to", he gave her his famous Derek Morgan smile and said, "is that so?", she said, "it is indeed", seconds later his lips descended onto hers again.
Fran grinned from the hall, she had gotten curious when her son hadn't come badk down she she went up the back stairs in the kitchen and quietly made her way to the upper floor. She had stopped when she had heard Derek and Penelope talking and just when she got ready to head back downstairs she heard silence.
She then leaned forward and couldn't help but smile as she saw her son and the person she hoped would soon be her daughter-in-law kissing and to say that Fran Morgan Rossi was a happy woman would at that time been an understatement.
Fran grinned and whispered, "it's about time baby boy, it's about time", she then turned around and made her way back down the sides stairs and stepped into the kitchen where she grabbed a tray of drinks and headed into the living room to rejoin the other.
When Derke and Penelope pulled apart this time she looked into his eyes and said, "are you really sure about this because my life has become more complicated now, now that I have Jazzy". Derek caressed her cheek and said, "I don't care about complicated, all I care about is being with you and Jazzy, you are the two people that i want ot spend the rest of my life wiht".
She said, "r r rest of your life?", he said, "didn't we already go through this?", she said, "I believe you mentioned it before but?", he said, "no buts, you are the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with, you and Jazzy are my life", he then wrapped his arms around her and said, "and who knows, maybeeeee we can give her a brother or a sister later?", she playfully swatted his chest and said, "Derek Micheal Morgan".
He grinned at her and said, "Penelope Grace Garcua", she smiled and said, "is this really happening, are we really going to do this, are we really going to be together?", he brushed his lips against hers gently and said, "yes, yes and yes" causing her to grin widely.
Penelope looked over her shoulder at her still sleeping daughter and said, "she'll probably be out for a little while longer so how about we join the others downstairs?", he held out his arm and said, "your wish is my command baby girl", she laughed as they then walked across the room and out into the hallway before making their way back downstairs to rejoin the others.
Everybody looked up when they saw them coming back downstairs baby free and Fran said, "Jazzy must have fallen back to sleep?", Penelope said, "yeah so we thought we'd come back downstairs and spend some time with you before she wakes up again", JJ and Emily looked at each other and then at Derek and Penelope who were now holding hands.
Reid grinned and said, "welllllllll, this is new, when did this happen?", as he pointed to their joined hands, Derek said, "today as a matter of fact", Penelope nodded her head yes and said, "we've decided to be together", they were all smiles as the rest of the team in unison said, "well it's about time".
