My Little Girl Ch 8
Derek and Penelope had sent videos to the team so that they could see and hear Jazzy's first words, Fran was over the moon when she saw that the adorable little girl that had stolen her heart considered Derek her father. Dave grinned and said, "she's gonna be a heart breaker when she grows up", Fran turned to face him and said, "that little girl already has us all wrapped snugly around her little finger and I totally agree with you my love that she's gonna break a lot of hearts when she gets older, my son is gonna have his hands full".
Dave grinned and said, "that he will Bella, that he will" as they watched the videos of their granddaughter again and again, they would never tire of seeing that little angel or hearing her call Derek and Penelope momma and daddy. As Fran sat there watching the videos it brought back wonderful memories of when her three kids were little, ohhhh how she missed those times, she missed her first love, the childrens father Hank and even though she was married again to Dave her love for Hank was still there in her heart.
The next day Derek was all smiles as he stood knocking on the front door of his baby girls house, when she opened the door she said, "come in handsome, come in" as she stepped back so that he could come on inside. Derek kissed her on the cheek and said, "sooooo where's Jazzy?", Penelope said, "I just put her down for a nap, she's been trying to walk all morning and she tired herself out handsome", Derek said, "she's growing up on us and fast, it's hard to believe that she's already almost 7 months old",
She nodded her head and said, "that it is my love, that it is", she then sat down beside him on the couch, he intertwined their fingers and brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it, she siad, "soooooo what's on your agenda for today?", Derek said, "spending the day with my girls is all that I had planned, what about you?", Penelope said, "I was thinking about spending the day with my daughter and the love of my life"
Derek scooted closer to her and said, "oh yeah, what's this love of your life look like?", she grinned and said, "well he's tall, dark and ohhhhh so sexy, he is the sexiest man I have everrrrrr and I mean everrrrr seen in my life", Derek said, "he sounds quite amazing". She looked up at him and said ,"that he is, I've never met anybody quite like him before", Derek said, "the woman that owns my heart is beautiful, kind, loving, has one of the biggest hearts I've ever seen and is without a doubt the sexiest woman that I have ever laid my eyes on", she grinned and said, "your girl sounds like your perfect match".
Derek said, "she is my perfect match in every way possible, I don't know what I would do without her, she is my everything and now we have a little daughter and I can't remember what life was like before she came into my life". Penelope said, "me either hotstuff, me either" as she laid her head down on Derek's shoulder and closed her eyes and relaxed in the embrace of her hotstuff and it was only a couple of minutes before soft snowing was coming from her.
Derek reached onto the back of the couch and grabbed the throw, he then covered her up and kissed her gently on the forehead and whispered, "sweet dreams goddess", he then got up and headed upstairs to check on his daughter. When he walked into her nursery he quietly walked over to the crib and smiled down at the adorable little girl and whispered, "sleep tight princess, daddy and mommy love you soooooo much".
He stood looking at her for a couple of minutes before turning around and walking back downstairs to the kitchen to fix him and Penelope some lunch, when she woke up a little while later Derek grinned and said, I was just coming to wake you up sweetness, lunch is ready". He held out his hand and helped her up off of the couch and they walked hand in hand toward the dining room to have a delicious meal together while their daughter peacefully slept upstairs
