My Little Girl-Ch 9
The next couple of weeks flew by with Derek, Penelope and Jazzy getting closer and closer with each passing day, they were becoming quite the adorable little family and of course Fran loved Jazzy as if she were her blood granddaughter and nothing was ever going to change that, not now, not ever.
Everybody was currently at Dave and Frans for a family cookout, they decided since it was such a beautiful day that it would be the perfect time for the entire team to get together and have a little much needed and much wanted fun.
Jazzy was able to stand and walk a few steps now and of course Derek and Penelope tried to catch every step that she made, they didn't want to miss anything that their little girl did, they wanted to share everything together as a couple and as a family with the others.
JJ, Emily, Fran and Penelope were sitting around talking about when their kids were little and at what age they said their first words and took their first steps, Fran grinned and said,"each child is different, now take Sarah for instance, she was my first, she said her first word when she was almost 8 months old and was crawling before she was 10 months old and walking before she was a year old".
Emily and JJ nodded their heads yes in agreement, Fran said, "now Derek, nowwww he was sooo different that his sister, he was babbling when he was about 5 months old, crawling before he was 6 months old and walking before he was 9 months old", she continued by saying and my baby, now Desi she was a late bloomer so to speak well not on talking, she was talking before she was 7 months old but the crawling and walking were almost hand in hand when she was almost 9 months old".
Penelope next listened to JJ and Emily talk about Henry and Jack and how they both started talking, crawling and walking at a young age and they agreed with Fran that each child is different, it was rare for two children in the same family to have the same pattern.
Fran said, "now your next child now", Penelope said, "waittt, my next child, when did I have another child?", Fran said, "speaking as said childs grandma I want to say that the more kids you and my baby boy have the better and the sooner you two get started on more little angels for me to spoil rotten the better".
Penelope blushed and said, "Fran we just started going out a few weeks ago", Fran, JJ and Emily in unison said, "yeah so" causing the women to all start laughing and the men to all turn around to see what was so funny across the yard, the men shrugged and went back to playing with the kids well all of the men but Dave who was manning the grill.
Hotch looked at Derek and asid, "you're a good daddy and I must say that I never doubted that you would be", Derek said, "really?", Hotch nodded his head and said, "you're a good man Derek, you always have been but Garcia brings out the greatness in you and when you two get married and have more kids you're going to see just how fulfilling married life can be".
Reid looked at Derek and siad, "Jazzy loves you, she thinks the world revolves around you and Gracia sooooooo when you two get married and give her brothers and sisters she's gonna love that too because she'll get to be the big sister", Derek said, "you're talking like you've had to give the older sibling talk".
The men all looked at Reid who was now smiling and the men in unison said, "congratulations", Reid grinned and said, "we just found out yesterday so we're not gonna tell many people, not yet, we're going to wait until Jayje is a little further along but we wanted to tell you guys", the women all looked at JJ and Penelope said, "alright, spill it blondie, what are they congratulating boy wonder about over there?", JJ grinned and Emily looked at Penelope and Fran and said in unison, "you're pregnant".
JJ nodded her head yes and a few seconds later she was pulled into a group hug by the women as they congratulated JJ on the news that another new addition was coming to the family soon.
