Jaden sighed as he walked back from his classes feeling tired and worn out 'throughout the whole lesson Syrus was trying to understand why I was so spaced out but I can't say it was because of the new student' Jaden thought to himself as he sighed
Jaden opened the door to his dorm room "home sweet home" Jaden said as he immediately fell on the lower bunk he usually occupied "I'm much more tired than usual I wonder why that is" Jaden mumbled under his breath
Jaden fell asleep not feeling like staying up late he didn't even notice the luggage that was near the door when he walked in...that's how tired he was when he walked in
The next day...
Jaden slowly opened his eyes and woke upon seeing the sun shining through the curtains he looked at the time and yawned "wow I'm actually waking up earlier than expected...this is a surprise" Jaden said as he got up and stretched
"What a beautiful morni...oof" Jaden was cut off as he tripped over the luggage he had missed the previous day "ow...woah...when did this get here? Did I get a new roommate without knowing it?" Jaden said and heard a soft snoring in the upper bunk
'Did I really not notice someone sleeping in the bunk above me' Jaden thought to himself as he slowly peeked in the upper bunk to see who his unexpected new roommate was
Jaden almost choked on air when he saw Kin fast asleep in the top bunk 'what is she doing here?! I thought the girls had separate dormitories than us boys!' Jaden thought to himself as he blushed looking at her sleeping silhouette
Jaden leaned in smelling a scent on Kin 'she smells like lavender flowers...it's so peaceful, why does this situation feel familiar' Jaden thought to himself
'I wonder who she is' Jaden thought to himself as he then saw Kin abruptly open her eyes making him almost jump surprise "g.good morning" Jaden greeted as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck
'That startled me' Jaden thought to himself Kin sat up from the bed and looked at him "I'm guessing your the princess I'm bunking with though I'm not sure why since there are girl dormitories" Jaden said as the girl stared at him
'This is so awkward when she's not saying anything' Jaden thought to himself "were you expecting me to go to a girls dormitory" Kin said finally giving a response to Jaden making him swoon internally after hearing her soft tone of voice
"Oh...well I mean you're already here so you don't have to go now" Jaden said for once acting rather flustered Kin chuckled feeling amused by his reaction
'I was kind of expecting a golden eyed tyrant but...my soulmate is much kinder than I expected him to be' Kin thought to herself "I'm sorry for waking you" Jaden said apologetically
"No need to apologize it was time for me to wake up...would you mind showing me around" Kin said Jaden was baffled "but isn't Chazz Princeton supposed to show you around" Jaden said looking at her
"I'd rather have you show me around...Chazz Princeton seems a little full of himself and I prefer to surround myself with humble people" Kin said as she gets off the top bunk Jaden gulps after seeing her close up
"My full name is Kineko Yami...it's a pleasure to meet you?" Kin said trying to find the words to his name "my name is Jaden Yuki" Jaden said returning the greeting 'I wonder if she's really a princess she certainly doesn't act like one' Jaden thought to himself
They both get ready for the day and walk out of the dormitory Chazz was waiting for Kin to show her around but then saw Jaden with her and her frowned clearing his throat
"Hey why are you with this slifer slacker I'm supposed to be showing you around" Chazz said annoyed "I'm sure you can stand one day not being in the spotlight" Kin said as she dragged Jaden so he could show her the campus
"So why did you choose me to show you around n.not that I mind of course, I'm just curious" Jaden asked curiously "you seem like a genuinely nice guy" Kin said with a smile on her face making Jaden look away and blush
'She's so cuuuute' Jaden thought to himself as he clears his throat regaining his focus "shall we begin the tour" Jaden said as he began to show her around the campus
Jaden showed her the deuling arena "this is where we have our card battles for dueling" Jaden said as he presented the arena to Kin "card battles? I was expecting a sword arena" Kin said confused
Jaden chuckled "no this is not a school for dueling with swords it's a school to help people find strategy to win the deul monster game" Jaden Yuki said explaining
"Really...do you have a deck" Kin said looking at him "yeah...I have a hero deck" Jaden said pulling out some cards to show Kin "how do you play" Kin asked rather curiously making Jaden explain the rules of the game
Jaden realized he was getting distracted "I should show you the rest of campus before I completely lose my bearings" Jaden said as he showed Kin the rest of campus
Jaden sighed in relief as he finally sat down from exhaustion "tired already" Kin said amused as she chuckled "just catching a quick break" Jaden said as he sighs slightly tired
Kin sat next to him "if your tired I'll let you sleep on my lap" Kin said only for Jaden to abruptly sit up "no I'm feeling much more energetic now but thanks" Jaden said 'why did she offer her lap as a pillow!' Jaden thought to himself flustered
