Prologue: A clash of worlds and times
Eons ago, in a time that faded into the recesses of the past, the world was a place inhabited by beings of immeasurable power. Creatures that defied the very laws of reality roamed freely across the land, creating and destroying as they pleased. These were the days of the Titans and the Gods, entities whose powers were so vast that their mere presence could shape the world as we know it.
These colossal beings walked among mountains that rose to the sky, manipulated the oceans with a gesture of their divine hands, and wove the fate of mortals like threads on a cosmic loom. The gods, with their immeasurable wisdom and strength, inspired fear and devotion in those who dwelt in the world they had created.
However, this time was also the age of strife.
The two races that dominated the planet, the gods and the titans, were locked in a brutal and bloody struggle that lasted for thousands of years, with one side only gaining a slight edge over the other. This constant state of war caused the world to suffer and the inhabitants to be subjected to the whim of these powerful creatures. The gods and titans cared little for the lesser beings that were forced to serve them, for they saw them as little more than insignificant beings.
But not all beings were subject to the dominion of these beings, as there were also the elves and the dwarves, a race of beings who were not bound to any faction. While these creatures were considered lesser beings, their civilization was just as old as that of the titans and gods, if not older. The dwarves and the elves lived hidden in the mountains and forests, keeping their civilization away from the eyes of the gods.
However, as time went by, the greatness of these beings became a legend, and the legend, in turn, faded into myths. The days of the heroes, those brave warriors who rose against the colossal creatures, were buried in the dust of history. Few still remember the time when the heavens roared and the earth trembled under the power of the gods.
The Gods, fed up with intervention in the affairs of mortals, retired to their heavenly domains, leaving behind a world that had changed forever. Wizards and witches, those blessed by the goddess Hecate with the gift of magic, also chose isolation. They retreated to remote corners, protecting their secrets and knowledge from those who did not share their connection with the mystical. A decision they would regret in the distant future. For in their power, they would lose themselves in arrogance, in the idea that those without their abilities could never match them.
Thus, the world moved forward, and the age of magic and gods faded into oblivion. Mortals, dazzled by the advances of science and wrapped in the veil of logic, built a new reality. A modern world was forged, where magic was considered a distant memory, relegated to the corner of legends and fairy tales.
But this did not mean that the gods had disappeared. Even if the world had forgotten their existence, the gods and the titans, who could no longer live in harmony, had to find another place to settle. In the end, they found the answer in the stars.
The gods chose to travel to another dimension, a place where they could live without disturbing the mortal world, and the titans did the same.
But the apparent calm that reigned in this new era was not going to last forever. In the shadows, ancient forces waited patiently, observing the evolution of mortals with ancient eyes. Magic, though weakened, still flowed in the veins of some, latent and ready to be awakened.
The gods, from their dwelling on Olympus, contemplated with interest the world they had abandoned. With a new interest awakened in them, they frequently interacted with mortals, giving rise to those who would be known as the demigods.
A whisper of unrest ran through the entire world. Something was coming—something that would defy the very logic of reality and shake the foundations of existence.
A conflict was coming.
A war that would mark the fate of the world for centuries to come.
The age of the gods was not yet over.
And so, at the intersection of divergent worlds, the clash of two realities became inevitable. The modern world, anchored in science and logic, was about to collide with magic and the vestiges of a lost era. The border between the tangible and the mystical would blur, giving way to a conflict that would unearth forgotten secrets and awaken forces that had lain dormant since time immemorial.
In the gloom of the impending storm, unexpected heroes would be forged, destined to confront the evil that threatened to devour the world. The shadows of the past would rise once again, claiming their place in the narrative of destiny. And thus began a new era, where the battle between reason and magic would decide the course of the future, and the threads of destiny would be woven into an epic and dramatic tapestry.
And it would all start with a couple of children on the verge of death. Children who would grow up to be the greatest representatives and defenders of life.
But not everyone is born equal, and not everyone can choose the path they want.
Some are destined for greatness, while others are doomed to obscurity.
