This is a new story. This prologue is about Harmony's backstory. She is a half human, half troll who was born to a friend of king Peppy, Serenity, and can switch forms
Harmony's breath hitched. Bridget couldn't have seen her. She had made sure that Bridget was asleep before Harmony turned into a troll. However, Bridget just kept snoring, giving no indication that she had seen her. Harmony breathed a sigh of relief. She climbed onto her bed and wrapped her arms around her knees. A sudden wave of longing washed over her. She wished she was with the rest of the trolls, not stuck in Bergen Castle serving as a scullery maid when in reality she was a hybrid human who was half troll. What did bergens know about humans? Not much, considering no one had figured her secret. Only semi trolls were born with pink hair like hers. The bergens didn't even know her real name. To them, she was Roxanne
"Scullery maids!" A voice blasted from the trapdoor above. "Come up here now!" Harmony knew who the voice belonged to, Sherman, a cook who had been Chef's assistant before she was banished. By the time Bridget woke up, Harmony was already climbing up the stairs. In no time at all, she was standing in the kitchen before Sherman. Sherman's probing gaze swept over her. Bridget showed up a few minutes later. Harmony wanted to ask him what he wanted, but as a scullery maid, one didn't speak unless spoken to.
"Roxanne, I need you to go get something. For the king's lunch. We're missing tomatoes, carrots, salt, and pepper." Harmony groaned inwardly. It was as if Sherman hated her. Harmony knew that everyone in the castle liked her because of her cheerfulness and attempts to brighten everyone's day, except Bridget. What Sherman didn't know was that every time Harmony went out, she was met with cruel, taunting eyes and laughter, plus she was also pelted with food scraps by miserable bergen children. And she couldn't do anything about it because she ranked lower than them. But she nodded meekly and smiled.
Sherman was the only other human besides her, and she suspected he was also a hybrid. Grabbing a basket, she hurried out. For a moment, Harmony paused, reveling in the soft sunshine sweeping over her. Than, she heard a voice behind her say "Oi! Roxanne!" One of her bullies, Calvin, rushed over, a banana peel in his hand. Laughing, he shoved her roughly to the ground. "Maybe this will dampen your spirits!" For some reason, that was always their goal: Make her unhappy and miserable like them.
Before Calvin could throw the banana peel at her, a pale hand encircled the bergen's wrist. "What do you think you are doing? Stop!" Calvin looked up in fear at the taller, golden-haired, 14-year old human boy glaring down at him. Harmony gasped, realizing it was Sherman. What was he doing here? Freeing the bergen, Sherman extended his hand to her. "You okay?" Harmony nodded numbly and took his hand.
Before she could ask why he had done that, she heard the tiniest whisper. "Psst! Come here!" Harmony looked up wildly. Who could that be? "Um, thanks. Why did you do that?" Sherman looked exasperated. "Why didn't you tell me you were being bullied? I could've put a stop to it earlier!" Harmony felt tears prick her eyes. Could she really tell him everything? Before she could stop herself, all the bitter longing for her friends and family came flooding out in sobs that wracked her body and salty tears. She felt Sherman wrap his arms around her, hugging her tightly.
"I know who you are, Harmony," Sherman said. Harmony gasped. How could he have guessed? Sherman let go of her and helped her up. "Come on. I know somewhere where we can talk privately," He led her to an alley, where he sat her down. "You know me better as Trey," Once again, Harmony's jaw dropped. She remembered well her best friend Trey, with his bright green eyes and kind smile
Suddenly, a purple kwami shot out of seemingly nowhere. "Harmony! I'm so glad I finally found you! King Peppy and Princess Poppy will be so happy!" Harmony had been introduced to kwamis ever since her mother had taken the place of Stellar Queen, Poppy's mother, after she died. She became known as Lady Star. Harmony knew Stella well. Stella simply said, without explanation, "Follow me," Taking Trey's hand, Harmony followed Stella. For some reason, no one said anything. Harmony's hope intensified, a steady beat in her head, pounding like her heart.
Stella led them through the sunny forest, and finally, she stopped by two trees. Gasping in delight, Harmony saw colorful pods hanging from tree branches. She jumped up and down in excitement, her baby pink dress and apron moving with her, her pink pigtails bouncing. "We're here! We're here!"
Turning quickly into a troll with bright pink pigtails, which, as a result of her human ancestry, hung down from the top of her head, she raced into Troll Village. Trolls looked at her surprised. One troll, however, smiled at the sight of her. It was Poppy. Than Poppy's smile faded. "Harmony!" She choked out.She raced towards her and hugged her. "I have something to show you," Poppy led her to a hospital pod, where her mother, Serenity was in bed. She cracked her eyes open and said "Harmony, " That was all she said before her eyelids fluttered shut.
"She is sick of a severe cold." Said a voice. Harmony saw King Peppy come out of the shadows. His eyes betrayed a heavy sadness. "Harmony, your mother is really sick. And she isn't just your mother anymore. She is also Poppy's," Harmony gasped. King Peppy was her dad now? Realizing that her mother was sick and could possibly die, Harmony burst into tears. Her new dad and sister wrapped her in a loving hug. "Everything will be alright, Harmony," Just then, she heard a blast and someone screaming.
Harmony broke out of the hug and looked out the window of the pod. There was someone, dressed in a forest green strech suit. Leaves shot out of his hand as he chased a troll. The akumatised villan was grey. "Who's that?" Harmony asked. She didn't remember any troll who was grey. Dad turned to Poppy. "Poppy, it's time." He handed her a small circular box decorated with splashes of orange and magenta. Then, he handed Harmony one too. When she opened the box, Stella reappeared. "Say 'Stella, shine on' We don't have that much time!" "Stella, shine on!" She turned into a troll-sized human with golden waist-length pigtails that shone like the sun and a purple knee length gown decorated with stars. On her hair were star hair clips. She wore purple high heels.
Poppy had transformed into a mermaid troll, her tail the color of the ocean and her top the same color. Her hair now had blue streaks. "It's Branch!" She said. she opened the door of the pod and swam out. Stella's voice echoed in her mind. "Jump out. The sun will catch you." Deciding to trust Stella, Harmony jumped out of the pod. Sure enough, the sun literally caught her. It was now night all over the world. Poppy swam up in front of him. "Branch!" Poppy pleaded. He shot out his hand and leaves engulfed Poppy. Harmony could barely see her, but a minute later, Poppy thrust out her hands and water flowed out of them, and blasted away the leaves.
Harmony cupped her hands. A flurry of glowing stars poured out of them. They(the stars) surrounded Branch and started spinning around him, trapping him in a cage of twirling stars. Poppy reached out her hand, then drew it back. A small bubble formed, then grew bigger in size. It drifted over and ensnared Branch. Their purpose fulfilled, the stars returned to the sky, lighting up the night sky.
Reaching out, Poppy took something out of Branch's hair. It was a photo of a troll. Poppy ripped the photograph. Inside the bubble, Branch collasped, returning to normal. Using her powers, Poppy mended the torn photo. The three beings floated back down to the ground. When the bubble popped, Poppy handed the photo to Branch. Clutching the photo to his chest, Branch staggered into the woods. As soon as he was gone, trolls came out of their hiding places. Slowly, almost hesitantly, they cheered for their new protectors.
Harmony felt a tug on her gown. She looked down, and saw a child of about five years old. "What's your name?" The child asked. Harmony knew she couldn't tell them her real name, so she thought fast. "Stellar Mistress." Poppy nodded in approval. "And mine is Ocean Flower," Soon, cheers of "Ocean Flower!" and "Stellar Mistress!" rose up.
Harmony didn't know what would happen, all she knew was that the future was bright, full of cheer and happiness. She had a family now, her father and Poppy. Oh, and Trey too. She couldn't forget about him.
