Vlad Masters returned to his two-story brick house by late afternoon. He wasn't surprised that his wife and kids weren't there. He knew Ceci was still at school with the other class political parties to discuss issues. As for his wife and other children? His wife had taken both to the dentist. The children were having the second cleaning of the year. They hadn't found any cavities during their visit back in the spring. So he hoped it was the same this year.
Sighing, the long-haired man headed to his bedroom to write about meeting his distant cousin today. Taking out his Packers-themed journal, he began to write. "I never thought I would meet someone like Alex in a million years. I knew my mother came from a slightly large family. But she never went into detail, especially after my father turned to drugs and violence.
I'm grateful Alex didn't pry further into why I said my father wasn't a good man. Alex is truly a respectful individual. I can sympathize with some based on what he said about his childhood. My family never traveled much, but we all need stability and the ability to make long-term connections. Perhaps that's why Ceci arranged this meeting.
I did have a fun time getting to know my cousin. We are similar in some ways. It's very nice he was genuinely interested in my family. I was not just asking for the sake of conversation, but I genuinely wanted to know more about my wife and kids.
It honestly felt good that I could be myself. Although he's my cousin, it felt like meeting a long-lost brother. I look forward to getting to know him better in the future. I don't know why he said my wife's cousin Kathleen's ex wanted to meet me. But its just so the families feel closer and can get to know each other better. That does make the most logical sense. Maddie told me Jack Fenton's Robert Jackson is a mellow, friendly fellow.
So, I do hope we also hit it off. It'd be nice to have some new friends since neither Maddie nor I have any close friends due to our ghost hunting. That may be why we've bonded so closely with the cousins we never knew we had. I'm grateful for Ceci doing that DNA test. Now we've truly more family connections, and I feel more whole then ever. Well, I better get started on dinner. Maddie said she wanted meatloaf for tonight. Better get cracking!" as he closed his journal. He stretched several times before heading to the kitchen to make the meatloaf.
