A slim, yet reasonably toned young gargoyle of average height with light green brush-like hair that spikes up awoke from his stone sleep. With two locks of hair that drape over his face, and sharp red eyes.

He went about cleaning up the stone shards that just fell off his body as he awoke. Over time gargoyles did not awake from their stone sleep by just bursting out it with a roar. That changed over the years as too many things were getting broken through that method. So eventually things changed as gargoyles just woke up and the stone shards just fell off. They just stretched like they were waking from a long rest(which they kind of were). Though he was not one to normally do so he did stretch his tail outward and his wings, which are attached to his arms in a web-like structure, evocative of the wings of a flying squirrel. Was not really that interested in gliding that often so he normal clothes rather than those that were designed with his wings in mind. His wings like most others that had web wings were pierced which allowed him to wear the one web wing designed clothing that he did though.

He looked around not noticing anything that different from before other than a date marked on a calendar though.

"So about another week until she and her friends are supposed to show up here then," he said

Heading downstair he saw another older gargoyle that had the usual wings on the back design in the kitchen.

"Hey, Senku. What do you want for breakfast" one Byakuya Ishigami asked.

"The usual" he replied.

Byakuya was the typical normal type of gargoyle that was mostly human in appearance with just obvious gargoyle like features and skin stone similar to his original form when he was still human.

Senku was mostly the same as well though his wings were considered to be one of the rarest variations though.

"So when is that girlfriend of yours supposed to be coming with her friends again," he asked

"Seriously she is just my friend that happens to be a girl thus merely my girl friend, not my girlfriend no different than Yuzuriha really," Senku told him "Also she is already in love with someone else as well just like Yuzuriha too. Though at least they have admitted it to each other. Took them long enough though"

"Your turn will come as first you made a girl friend and then made another that you talk to about similar interests. Next time you find one that is just for you. She bound to out there for you just need to run into her" Byakuya said then joking added "It not like it take some insane amount of time for you two meet like thousands of years"

Somewhere a blonde, a pink, and a brown hair gargoyle then sneezed at the same time

Senku then sighed as he would not say he and his friend Demona had similar interests though. It was more like they had a conflicting interest which just led to them talking as much as they did. He then thought back to the time that he had met Demona for the first time.

Flashback starting...

"Hey you" a young red hair gargoyle declared to Senku

"What" he replied

"Are you the one going around messing with all the mages around here" she demanded

"'Messing' I am just asking questions that they should be able to answer as magic should be their field of study. Thus should not they know more about than me" Senku said.

In this new reality, magic was public knowledge however as a result of it being public knowledge. That meant it was studied just like anything else and various breakthroughs on just what magic was and what it could do. However, just like with science, not everything could be explained as there were various theories and ideas about everything. This only covered the magic that gargoyles( as well as formerly humans) were capable of as things that Children of Oberon would do were still unknown to them and the Grimorum Arcanorum as well. It was known to exist but where and who had it was unknown though

"I am a student of the Archmage as well as Magus too. I could probably hand any question you have about magic" she declared proudly.

The two would talk until the sun rose things started out easily enough for Demona but by the time they entered their stone sleep for the day she had a dumbstruck look on her face as she was overwhelmed by Senku's questioning. It was not that Senku had a knack for magic but since magic was general knowledge there were countless scientific studies on the matter. Those were what Senku looked up and researched himself.

Demona as he would later learn her name did not give up or avoid him, however.

"I got you now" she would declare once as she would have bags under her eyes.

How does a gargoyle even get those as she can not be getting through a lack of sleep unless she...just then just stops moving altogether.

Senku then went up to Demona and waved a hand in front of her face she did not move nor respond.

"Sorry about that she just went all overboard as she has been researching nonstop for nights now," a black hair gargoyle said that Senku would later learn was named Goliath.

"She is not moving you know," Senku told him

"She just passed out as been forcing her mind to focus for nights after all," he said

'While standing up and with her eyes still open' Senku thought curiously.

"Thanks for always putting up with her though," Goliath said thanking him.

That was when Senku learned that Demona was used by the Archmage as she wanted to learn magic and while he was one of the best teachers but not one of the best people. Demona was being led down a dark path but was pulled back before she went too far down it. She still does not fully accept the reasoning for why the Archmage was banished but she came to like the Magus who took over as Demona's master when it came to magic.

"It's interesting that she found someone our age who while does not share her interest exactly does so to a certain degree. It interesting someone that is not even a mage or magic researcher got her excited about learning more and more about magic itself" Goliath informed him

Demona was a mage but not one that was too tied down to magic like other mages were. They did not always expect the idea that science while not be able to explain everything about it. Could be very helpful in attempting to do so for what it could at least. Thus the two of them would continue to get into various talks about magic and science. As Senku learned a lot about magic from Demona while she learned an equal amount about science from him.
