A few minutes later, Matt, Jackie and Inez entered Control Central.
They were in the main room, where Motherboard was, fritzing tirelessly, trying to keep her eyes open.
"Mother B, are you okay?" Jackie asked, concerned about her.
Jackie felt like she was already a daughter to Motherboard.
"Yeah, Motherboard. You don't look too good." Matt said, seeing Motherboard's tired eyes meeting their alert eyes.
Motherboard then began to yawn.
"Sorry, Cyber Mates. I've been like this ever since you guys had to save the animals in Ecotopia." She said, in an explanation as she was fritzing in and out on the screen.
Digit was hovering right next to Motherboard as she was fritzing in and out on the screen.
Matt, Jackie and Inez were really concerned for Motherboard.
"Motherboard, what happened to Ecotopia?" Matt asked, remembering the adventure, being told about the Slime Core being disrupted and to find Ranger Abby and her son Ollie.
Just as Motherboard was about to say something, she felt severe pain in her parental circuits.
Matt, Jackie and Inez, alongside Digit saw Motherboard's pained expression on her face.
They felt really concerned and sad for her.
They haven't seen Motherboard like this in a long time.
"Cyber Squad…Oooooh…" Motherboard began to say as she was about to start talking to them about why the Slime Core disrupted,tears began to drip down, digitally from her eyes while she fritzed on the screen.
"Motherboard!" Matt, Jackie and Inez said, together at the same time.
"I told you that this wasn't good. That it's not good at all!" Inez said as they were seeing Motherboard crying on screen for the first time.
Motherboard, with tears in her eyes, looked at Digit.
"Digit, you need to…Oooooh… Oooooh… Oooooh…" She began to say, before the pain took over.
Digit also had a concerned expression on his face.
He was also worried about Motherboard, alongside the Cyber Squad.
He then placed his wing on the right side of Motherboard's face, stroking one of the feathers up and down on the screen, in hopes that Motherboard could feel it.
Motherboard's eyes looked at him.
"Thank you, Digit." She said, with affection and gentleness in her voice, trying to fight the pain as she was still fritzing on the screen.
"Awww." Matt, Jackie and Inez said, together as they saw their friend Digit comforting Motherboard.
Digit smiled and then began to hover back down to Matt, Jackie and Inez.
"So, Mother B… What exactly happened to Ecotopia?" Jackie asked, remembering the adventure of them on Ecotopia.
Inez blushed at the thought and sight of Ollie.
Matt saw that Inez was blushing.
"Nezzie, why are you blushing?" He asked, curiously wanting to know why the glasses girl was blushing.
Inez, seeing Matt gaze at her, shifted her glasses.
"While you, Jackie and Digit were busy trying to figure out a solution to save the preserve, I was spending time with Ollie. When I was with him, I felt like I was safe in his embrace and also, how many times do I have to say this… Don't… Call… Me… NEZZIE!" She said, in an explanation as she was also angry that Matt would call her 'Nezzie', which pretty much annoyed her.
Motherboard then looked at Digit, hoping that he would help her get the Cyber Squad back on track.
Digit nodded his head yes, silently and looked at the teens.
Matt and Inez were annoyed with each other and Jackie, who was looking away from the argument, sighed sadly and then began to cry again.
Motherboard, who was fritzing tirelessly, trying to fight the pain in her parental circuits, noticed that Jackie was crying.
"Jackie, my dear, why are you crying? What's wrong?" She asked, in a gentle voice.
Jackie, hearing Motherboard's voice, tried drying her tears, using the sleeve of her classic, yellow sweater.
"M-Mother B, it's… It's just…" She began to say, before more tears took over.
Matt, who was now partially annoyed with Inez, realized that Jackie was crying again.
He then walked over to her and hugged her, beginning to comfort her again, just like he did when they were at her house on Earth.
"Jackie's parents are having a baby and Jackie's not used to the idea of having a sibling yet." Matt said, explaining in the best way possible to Motherboard.
Motherboard nodded her head yes, in understanding, before fritzing again, tirelessly.
"I understand. Jackie, you should be proud. I know that this is a big change for you but, just know that your parents still love you. Taking care of your sibling is going to be a challenge, just like…" She said as the pain in her parental circuits got really bad.
"Motherboard, please try to explain to them about what happened in Ecotopia…" Digit said, hoping that Motherboard would tell them before the situation gets worse.
Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit turned towards Motherboard.
"In Ecotopia, Hacker, Buzz and Delete were looking for the Reset Button." Motherboard began to explain to them.
Inez then remembered that during their trip in Ecotopia, she was the one who stopped Hacker by rolling the Encryptor Key into the hole of the Reset Button controller.
"I remember! I was the one who stopped Hacker by rolling the Encryptor Key into the Reset Button controller!" Inez said, remembering that day in Ecotopia.
"Yet, Nezzie, you were the one who was complaining about missing those pins…" Matt said, also remembering that day.
"Yes but, in the end, I was the one who stopped Hacker! Also, don't call me Nezzie! You know how that gets on my nerves, Matthew…" Inez said, going all lovey duvey googly eyes at Matt.
Matt then remembered that Inez had just called him Matthew.
"Hey!" He said, complaining.
Inez rolled her eyes.
"Can we get back on track here? I think that Mother B's trying to tell us something!" Jackie said, hoping that they could get back on track with the task at hand.
Matt crossed his arms, alongside Inez and the four of them looked back at Motherboard.
Motherboard had fritzed out but she fritzed back in.
"Motherboard!" Matt, Jackie and Inez said, together at the same time, glad to see their computerized friend back on screen.
"Indeed, Inez. Indeed you did. The reason why you are here, Cyber Mates, is because I have some amazing news to share with you." Motherboard said, trying to fight the pain.
"That's great news." Matt said, with a smile.
Inez and Jackie smiled as well, alongside their friends Digit and Motherboard.
"Indeed it is, Matt. As is Jackie having a little sister…" Motherboard said, before she started feeling severe pain.
She started fritzing out, like static on a TV screen and then, she fritzed back in again.
"Congratulations, Jackie." Digit said as he flew to Jackie and gave her a hug with both of his wings.
Jackie smiled.
"Thanks, Dij." She said, before the fritzing got loud.
Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit's attention were now on the loud fritzing.
"Motherboard!" Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit said, together at the same time, with concern in their voices.
"Motherboard, what's wrong?" Inez asked as the fritzing got quiet and Motherboard looked down at them.
"Forgive me, Cyber Mates but I'm… I'm…" Motherboard said as the pain got worse and she was fritzing tirelessly.
Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit looked at each other, with concern before they looked back at Motherboard.
"But what, Mother B?" Jackie asked, wanting to know.
"I'm having a baby…" Motherboard said as the screen fritzed up really bad, the sound causing a loud ringing sound in the room.
"Earthlies, cover your ears. Now!" Digit said as both of his feet were on the ground, covering his ears with both of his wings.
Matt, Jackie and Inez looked at each other with concern and confused looks on their faces as they now all had their ears covered.
The loud ringing sound caused the screen to crack.
Digit saw that the screen was about to crack and explode.
He then grabbed Matt, Jackie and Inez and now, all four of them were behind the long lounging couch.
The screen cracked and then exploded.
