Chapter 4 - Birth of Prisma Illya

...

After our... fun time we had, Illya and I quickly fell asleep, exhausted from the late night activity. I used my magic to rid the room and our bodies of the smell and sweat. We had also hadn't gotten re-dressed afterwards, sleeping completely naked together. Thank god I usually lock the door. I also made it so our activity didn't tire us out, or rather that our sleep would be enough to reinvigorate us come morning.

Sure enough, the next morning, my eyes warily open as the sun hits our faces. As they get used to the light, my eyes open more and more, soon not being bothered by the brightness at all. I look at my digital alarm clock showing '6:45'. A bit early, seeing as how I had set it for seven. I look down and see my cute little sister, fast asleep against my chest, my arm wrapped around her and holding her nude body tightly. I can't help but smile while looking down at her, looking at her cute face and hearing her soft breathing. It seems like it'd be a crime to disrupt her like this, but...

I nudge my arm a bit, causing her to move. After a moment, she stirs, clenching her eyelids tighter as the light hits her eyes through them. Eventually, she blinks open her ruby red eyes a few times, before they raise up and land on me. The pair of ruby orbs widen a bit before a serene smile appears on her cute face.

"Good morning, Onii-chan."

"Morning, Illya."

My girlfriend snuggles her body closer to mine. "We really did all of that last night, huh?"

"Yup." I say, popping the p.

"It felt really good." She smiles.

"Yup." I say again, popping the p.

"I don't wanna get up." She whines.

"Yup." I say once again, popping the p.

"Don't tease me!" She whines from my identical responses, pouting up at me.

"But I'm not." I smile down at her. "I was just agreeing with you. I don't wanna get up either."

She hums in agreement, clearly upset about our fate of going to school as well. Instead of complaining anymore, she just snuggles closer to me. "I love you, Onii-chan."

I smile, pulling her closer. "I love you too, Illya."

The two of us then dragged ourselves to the bathroom (after putting our pajamas back on), and brush our teeth. Afterwards, we both got dressed, Illya also taking the time to brush her hair, despite how cute her bed head looked.

"Good morning." Illya says, opening the door to the dining room.

"Mornin'." I say, right behind her.

"Morning." Liz says, casually taking a big bite from her toast as she sits at the table.

"Good morning, Illya-san, Shirou-kun." Sella greets, walking from behind the counter over to the table and placing down a drink for Illya.

"Mornin', Sella." I greet once again.

"Good morning, Sella." Illya greets. "Hey, do you think it'll arrive today?"

"That anime DVD of yours, yeah?" I ask, remembering that she ordered a magical girl anime DVD a while back.

"Yes, I think so." Sella answers Illya, before turning her attention to her fellow homunculus. "Hey, Liz! You're eating already?!" She shouts at her sister, indignant. "And you too!" She half-heartedly lectures Illya, drinking from her cup. "You need to say 'Itadakimasu'!"

Illya sighs happily as she sits her drink back down.

I just smile at their antics. Not long after the four of us finish eating, Illya and I go over to the entrance and slip on our shoes, my sister also putting on her brown hat which I think is just for female elementary students. It was weird seeing it on her the first time.

"See you two later." I turn away from the door and smile to our two caretakers.

"See you later!" Illya echoes cutely.

"Have a nice day!" Sella chirps as Liz blankly waves as we leave the house.

Illya then walks alongside me as I walk with my bike. It's become something of a hobby for me, to ride to school after Illya and I split up partway through our walk to school. The two of us chat about this and that, the cute girl hugging into my arm the whole time, until we near a certain crosswalk. Illya perks up as she sees her friends nearby.

The four girls seem to notice her as well. Tatsuko, the shortest of the bunch with a head of blonde hair, slightly darker gold eyes, and seemingly endless energy, shouts and waves wildly while shouting, "Hey, Illya!" Her friends Mimi- a girl with short brown hair and purple eyes-, Nanaki- who has short pink hair done in twintails-, and Suzuka- a bespectacled girl with dark green hair done in low pigtails and slightly lighter green eyes- all shake their heads at the small but energetic girl's antics.

Illya introduced me to them all once before, they're all sweet girls, though nowhere near as cute as Illya is. Bar fucking none. Damn homunculus genes, I guess.

My sister lets go of my arm and waves back. She looks up at me with a smile. "I'll see you later, Onii-chan!"

"Later, Illya." I smile as she runs off, her and her friends walking towards the elementary school. I just smile and hop on my bike's seat, before pedaling towards the high school. I quickly make it to the school's gates, riding along the sidewalk. There, I greet Issei as I park my vehicle in the bike racks, making sure to lock the damn thing. As a (former) American, I don't trust leaving it unprotected, afraid people will go and try to steal the damn thing. Though I do have a magic tracker on it, just in case.

School, as per usual is boring as hell. I end up swapping with a clone after second period, before swapping back before final period.

After spending the day training in my pocket dimension again and getting memories of the school day from the clone, the final bell of the day rings quicker than expected. I bid Issei goodbye as I walk with my bike, only to hear a cute voice yell, "Onii-chaaaaan!"

Sure enough, there's Illya, running up to me with a big smile on her face. I smile back, "Oh? Decided to go this way today?"

Her running comes to a full stop just a bit away from me. "Yeah! I wanted to go with you today, Onii-chan."

I just shake my head with a smile as the two of us begin to walk together. My sister then stops and turns around, holding onto her backpack straps as she smiles at me. "Say, how about we race home?"

"You know I've got a bike, right?" I ask, raising an eyebrow as I gesture down to my vehicle.

"It's okay, you know how fast I can run." She chirps, before turning around and running down the sidewalk.

"Okay, okay." I say to myself as I watch her run, her skirt lifting up a bit with each step. Honestly... I hop on my bike and follow after her, making sure to go slow. By the time we arrived home, she pouted at me for letting her win, but the sidewalks aren't quite wide enough for us to race side by side like she wanted.

""I'm home."" Both of us announce as we enter the house, the sun having dipped down in the sky a bit.

"Welcome home, Illya-san." Sella says, greeting us, polite as ever. "Oh? Shirou-kun was with you?" She asks, seeing Illya and I taking off our shoes.

"Yeah, she took a different route today. Met me at my school's gate." I explain.

"Oh, a package arrived for you this afternoon, Illya-san." Sella explains, causing Illya to beam at her. "I believe the contents were-"

"DVDs?" I finish as Illya runs off, Sella blinking in surprise. We both then blink to see Illya shouting at Liz, who's currently watching her DVD.

"Liz-oneechan! Watching it without me is mean!" The short girl whines, pointing at the tv.

"Oh, Illya. Welcome back." Liz says lazily, two pieces of pocky held in her mouth.

"Don't give me that 'welcome back'!" Illya snaps.

"I'm the one who paid for them." Liz points out calmly.

"Th-That's true, but..." Illya stammers.

"I was wondering what it was." Sella says.

"Yeah, she got Liz to buy 'em for her a few days ago." I explain as Illya pulls on Liz, shouting at her.

"Illya has been throughly tainted by this world. I cannot face Madam Irisviel like this, after she entrusted me with the household." The polite homunculus bemoans dramatically.

"Stop being so dramatic, Sella." I deadpan. She gets like this every now and again, and it was kinda funny at first, but now it's just tiring seeing her getting so worked up over little things like this. "You don't have to worry about this."

"What an irresponsible thing to say!" She snaps at me, looking up to meet my eyes.

I just groan in response. "Huh? How's that irresponsible?" I snap back.

Sella and I then began to half-heartedly argue as Illya and Liz continued to watch the Magical Girl anime DVD, the former being far more enthusiastic about it.

Day soon turned into night as Illya stayed in the living room to watch that DVD of hers. I popped in every now and again to see what was happening. Spoiler: it was what you'd expect from an anime like that. She did take a break for dinner and to change clothes, but went right back to watching.

Honestly, today has passed without much fanfare. School was boring, as usual, and Illya was cute, as usual. Just another average day for-

My eyes snap to the side, sensing magical energy being discharged in the city, or rather over it. Who the fuck is that? I use a trick I picked up, making a small screen of sorts in the air, allowing me to se what's going on. Looking through the screen, I see great flashes of light in the night sky of Fuyuki. Looking closer, I see... I see...

...Okay, that the fuck am I looking at here?!

It's clearly Rin Tohsaka and Luviagelita Edelfelt in the sky fighting. Rin, as I recall via rumors, left for England last year, likely to join the Clock Tower, but why is she back? More importantly, why is Luvia here? I can understand them fighting, they're HEATED rivals after all, but why are they doing this in the sky?

And why are they dressed like goddamn magical girls?!

Rin is wearing a strangely cute red and white dress with a cape and... black cat ears and tail? What the fuck? And why does she have a red and gold staff with a star at the end? And why's it giving me a strange feeling? That clearly ain't some normal mystic code.

As for Luvia, she has on a blue and gold dress with... what I can only assume are brown dog ears and a tail. She too has a staff, this one blue and gold with a star at the end. It's giving me the heebie-jeebies.

The two magical girls (I hesitate to call them that) continue to strike at one another, throwing around obscene amounts of magical attacks. How are they doing that anyway? They're nearly using Servant levels of energy. Is it because of those mystic codes? Eventually, the two of them stop to glare hatefully at one another.

"Could you too just please stop all this?" The red wand asks, causing me to blink in surprise. It's conscious? How? What the fuck is this?! Some kinda weird-ass mystic code?!

"Be quiet, Ruby!" Rin barks at the wand, before pointing at the Finnish girl. "She's the one that started it, so she's the one that's in the wrong!"

"If the children who dream of being magical girls were to hear that, they'd cry." The red wand, Ruby, says in a sing-song voice.

Luvia, however, makes use of this distraction and prepares another spell, which fires at Rin.

"Ruby, erect a barrier!" Rin shouts frantically before the blast hits her. As they dark smoke from the explosion clears, Rin is perfectly fine, holding Ruby in front of her and... does the wand have a bandage on its 'head'?

"The barrier is always up, but it can't completely deflect magic that powerful." Ruby explains, looking a bit singed.

"Unbelievable, you're as tough as a cockroach." Luvia scoffs. "Won't you just disappear?"

"I see... I understand how you feel." Rin says in a dangerous tone, her bangs hiding her face, before an equally dangerous grin appears on her face. "If that's how it is, I'll perform your last rites!" She declares, pulling out a... card? A card with an archer on it. Hang on, Archer?

"A Class Card?" Luvia says, pulling out a card with a spearman on it. Lancer too? "Very well. In that case, I'll play along."

Then Rin slams the card onto the star part of the wand, yelling, "Class Card: Archer! Include!"

"Lancer! Include!" Luvia shouts, doing the same.

Class Cards? Does that mean those wands let them use the power of Servants? If that's the case, how did they get into cards? Something fishy is going on here. My mind races, trying to figure out what I'm the absolute hell is going on as the wands do... absolutely nothing?

Rin blinks. "Huh? Hey, Ruby! Include!" She shouts, poking the wand with the card.

"What's wrong, Sapphire?" Luvia asks the blue wand. Sapphire.

"Oh man, I just can't deal with you two anymore." Ruby bemoans, the six wings around her 'head' moving in such a way that it looks like she's holding hand out to stop Rin. "The reason that the Grand Master lent us Kaleidosticks to you both was so you could cooperate and complete the mission."

I should've known. This has Zelretch, the master of the Second Magic, Kaleidoscope, written all over it. And what mission is she talking about?

My musings are interrupted by Luvia laughing in her usual 'Ojou-sama' way. "Ohohohohoho! Serves you right, Tohsaka Rin! For your own stick to reproach you, I knew I was the superior master-"

"No, that applies to Luvia-sama as well." Sapphire interrupts, her voice much calmer than the energetic one from her sister, Ruby.

"What was that?" The blonde magus asks, taken aback.

But Sapphire reiterates, calmly, even bowing politely, "Luvia-sama, you've been ignoring your mission and acting in an arrogant fashion. Regretfully, I have judged you unfit to be my master."

Luvia all but growls at the stick, causing the brunette magus to chuckle at her expense. "What was that about being the 'superior master'?" She taunts.

"Be quiet!" Luvia snaps.

"Well, with that..." Ruby says, as she and Sapphire pull away from the teenage magi.

"Though this is entirely selfish..." Sapphire begins as they finish in unison. ""We'll be taking some time off."" They say, the blue wand bowing and the red one curling into a 'C' in an almost teasing way.

"Wait a minute!" Rin growls, pointing at the Kaleidosticks. "You mean to defy your master, you damn stick?!"

"You're not my master anymore, Rin-san." Ruby teases in a sing-song voice.

"You'll pay for this, Sapphire!" Luvia growls, pointing at the Kaleidosticks.

"I apologize, ex-master." Sapphire bows politely.

"Ah! By the way you two, your transformations have already been dispelled, so you'll fall if you don't act fast."

True to Ruby's words, Rin and Luvia's clothes have changed back to normal ones, and it's their usual clothes from the Fate series at that. Then, in honest to god cartoon fashion, Luvia and Rin look at each other, then down. Only then do they scream and fall.

"Have a great day, you two!" Ruby shouts happily. I can only watch as the two manage to use magecraft to mitigate their falls, though they do plunge into the water below them. Hopefully they can dry themselves off with magic too.

...What the fuck did I just watch?

Closing the screen, absolutely confused, I open the door to my room to see Illya in the hallway, yawning.

"Finally watched it all?" I ask.

She's so tied she doesn't even jump from my question. "No, there's still two more episodes. Sella said I should go ahead and take a bath."

"Ah. Well, I've already gotten clean, so go ahead." I say. The albino nods with a smile, then enters the bathroom, sliding the door closed behind her.

I sit there for a few minutes, contemplating what I just saw. Rin and Luvia have been sent here, likely by Zelretch considering the 'Kaleidosticks', to do something. They also have 'Class Cards', which I can only assume hold a Servant's power. The questions are numerous. Why are there cards like that? How are there cards like that? How did they get Servants powers in a card (provided that is indeed the case)? Why is Zelretch involved? What's happening in Fuyuki? Why is it always Fuyuki? Why magical girls?

No, seriously. Why magical girls? That's the most important question I have. Why magical girls? Seriously, what the-

BANG

I almost jump out of my skin from the crash that shakes the house. What the fuck?! Was that in the bathroom? Rushing over to the bathroom, I knock on the door. "Illya? You okay?"

"Y-Yeah! I just dropped something!" She quickly says. That was way too loud for something to be dropped.

"Okay, just be careful." I say.

"I will!" She says, clearly shaken.

Nodding, I walk back to my bedroom. What the hell did she 'drop'? ...Fuck it. I'll trust her on this. Relationships are built on trust and all.

I quickly hop into bed and get comfortable. I'm too tired to worry anyway. I'll deal with anything that pops up tomorrow.

It's a shame I wasn't more proactive that evening, else I could've prevented Illya from getting involved in the Moonlit World. Hindsight is twenty-twenty, I guess.

Then again, knowing what came next, who I'd meet, and what experiences I'd have with them... I don't think I'd have changed anything.

Illyasviel von Einzbern is a normal girl. She likes magical girl animes, and loves her brother- more strongly than other younger sisters do. Her life can be considered normal.

That is, until a floating stick SLAMMED into her bathroom door after flying in through the window, nearly missing her head as she ducked into the bathtub. Illya can only stare at the floating stick- barely noticing the massive dent in the door- as I begins to speak.

"Oh, you managed to dodge. I wanted to get it over with quickly. Well, that's fine." The thing chirps, sounding totally nonchalant. "Nice to meet you! I'm a magic stick of love and justice, Magical Ruby-chan! You there, would you like to become a magical girl?" She says cutely, posing.

Illya can only stare in pure confusion at the talking stick, dancing in the air.

"How about it~?" It asks in a sing-song voice.

Illya merely covers her chest as she stares at the thing while it prattles on.

"Become a magical girl, and with our combined strength, we'll fight evil together!"

The small girl narrows her eyes. 'This seems suspicious. What's with this situation?' She thinks to herself. She had JUST been thinking about how it would be to become a magical girl, then this thing shows up? Too much of a coincidence.

"Ah, just now you thought 'this seems suspicious'." The stick whines, getting closer to Illya, who puts her hands up in surrender.

"W-Well..." The girl begins to argue, before relenting. "...yeah."

"How sad." The stick says, her wings drooping. "In this modern age, are there no girls left who conveniently dream of becoming magical girls? And- Eh? Are you bleeding?"

Illya looks down and, sure enough, she has a small cut on her arm. She blinks, before looking at a rather sharp edge on the faucet.

"Oh, I guess that must have happened when I dodged you." The Illya says, before the stick flies over and touches the blood with her wing. She then clears her voice, "Now, getting back on topic, would you like to become a magical girl?" She continues, acting like that last thing didn't happen.

"I don't really follow you anymore..." Illya deflects, looking away. "Can't you find somebody else?" She asks, incredibly skeptical, before jolting as Ruby flies into her face again.

"It's fun being a magical girl! You can fly through the sky, use beams to destroy your enemies-"

"Wai-" Illya tries to interrupt.

"-, and even fall in love using magic!" Ruby continues.

Illya deadpans.

"Ah! You reacted to that!" Ruby points out. "Is there someone you're interested in?"

The girl sighs. "There is, but I don't need any help there."

"Oh-ho? Who could it be?" Ruby teases, holding wings to her head and gushing as she... blushes? "Something cliche like a classmate?"

"Th-That's not it!" Illya protests, blushing as she curses her shyness. She's aware of how she can get when Shirou and her get intimate, but outside of that her shyness is almost a curse to her.

"Ah! I've got it! It must be something forbidden! Like another girl, or a sibling!" Ruby continues, causing Illya to jolt, which she notices. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about! Love is a wonderful thing. But to think you'd fall in love with your sibling! Such a forbidden, immoral romance! Ahh, love is wonderful!"

Illya growls, before shooting up out of the bath. "Shut it, you compete idiot!" She yells, grabbing the stick and rotating around to throw the thing out of the open window. But suddenly, Ruby stops midair, Illya not able to move the thing as it chuckles teasingly.

"Heeheehee~ That was easier than I'd imagined." Ruby says, deviously. "Master certified by blood, contract sealed by contact, and the key to activation, a maiden's love power!" Illya pulls on the stick, to no avail, all while Ruby teases the poor girl. "All received without a problem! Now, shall we move on to the final part?" Illya, however seems unable to move at all. "Won't you tell me your name?" Ruby asks.

Illya's body moves without her input as she grabs the stick with both hands and struggles to not speak, "I-Illya... Illyasviel... von Einzbern!"

As she says her name, Ruby begins to glow golden. "Yaho! With that, the master registration is complete!"

A light engulfs the bathroom, before Illya's shout can be heard.

"EHHHHHHH?!"

The next morning, I awoke to find Illya a bit tired. Did she not get enough sleep? I thought nothing of it, until I saw that red stick Rin had- now missing it's stick part- sticking out from Illya's backpack as she went to school. It caused me to freeze. What the fuck is that thing doing there?!

...I'll see about it after school. I'll throttle that damn thing if it's hurt Illya.

Speaking of, there was this weird spatial distortion in front of my school. I didn't interact with it due to it being the day and people being around, but decided to check it out at night.

Once we got home, I kept an eye on Illya and that stick using that viewer trick of mine. It was training her to be a magical girl, likely having something to do with those Cards that Rin and Luvia had. Sadly, the thing was smart and kept hidden and with Illya quite well, not letting me have a chance to interrogate (or throttle) the damn thing.

Illya then decided to sleep in her room again tonight, which I was fine with... Okay, that's a lie. Her not sleeping with me makes me a bit lonely. I didn't suspect her doing anything strange until I got up to pee just before midnight. I'd set myself an internal alarm to go off at that time so I could go and look at that distortion.

"Eh?" I hear a squeak by the steps as I exit my room. I found Illya standing there as well as a flash of movement, likely from Ruby.

"Illya? What're you doin' up?" I ask.

"W-Well, I just wanted a snack is all." She explains cautiously. She's clearly lying, but seeing as how Ruby is with her, she must be going after those 'Class Cards'.

"Okay, but hurry back to bed. You were tired today, remember?" I remind.

"Nn." She nods before going downstairs.

"So that was your brother, huh?" I hear Ruby ask downstairs. "I can see why you like him, he's got this main character vibe."

"R-Ruby!" Illya shouts as they go outside the front door.

I narrow my eyes. After quickly teleporting my pee to the toilet and using telekinesis to flush the toilet, I quietly followed Illya, making myself PERFECTLY hidden. I picked up a thing or two from those Hassans I fought.

To my increasing worry, I watch Illya run right towards my school, Rin waiting there for her.

"Ah, you came." Rin says, seeing Illya arrive, Ruby in tow. The younger girl gets some kinda funny expression in her face, like she's saying, 'No shit, Rin'. The magus tilts her head at this action. "Hm? What is it?"

"Ah, no, it's nothing." Illya says quickly. "Um, are we going to start collecting cards now?"

"Yes, that's right." Rin nods. "For now, could you transform?"

"Okay..." Illya says, despondent, as she walks away from Rin, much to the magus' confusion. Illya goes into a small building, then a flash of light along with Ruby's cry of 'Yaho!' can be observed. Then, she walks back out, transformed into... a magical girl outfit. It's super pink, almost to the point of it being hard to look at for more than a moment. "Sorry to keep you waiting."

"Why did you have to hide?" Rin deadpans.

"Because it's embarrassing." Illya says, looking away shyly. Good lord is she cute. Rin just looks at her with sympathy, knowing how embarrassing the outfit is.

"Well, whatever. Are you ready?" The magus asks. Illya nods. "Then let's begin." Oh, I wonder how this is going to work.

"Y-Yeah!" Illya nods, determined, holding up Ruby.

"The card's position is roughly in the center of the courtyard." Rin explains, pointing in a spot. "In the center above, you can observe a distortion."

"The center?" Illya asks. "I can't see anything."

"Indeed. There's nothing there." Rin reaffirms. "The card isn't in this world. Ruby."

Oh, I get it. They're going to use Ruby to slip into another dimension using the Kaleidoscope, or at the very least a weaker version of it. That's... a bit worrying, but I can get what's going to happen.

"Got it!" Ruby dances a bit, before a circle of light appears below Illya. The light appears to be made of every color, constantly shifting and moving. A Kaleidoscope. The younger girl gasps at the sudden effect as Ruby continues, her voice sounding more serious as she too begins to glow. "Adding complex number items to the fifth restraint variable." Restraint variable? Perhaps something keeping them in this dimension? "Initiating preparations for inversion." Inversion? That confuses me as I see reality seem to get weird around them. It reminds me of reading a book with 3D pictures that are red and blue, but become kinda 3D with special glasses.

"Confirming the existence of converging spaces." So there's another dimension over this one and the places are close to each other right there? Maybe it's because of the card. "Fixation of center coordinates complete. Forming a two meter radius reflective corridor." A two meter diameter pathway? That's exactly the size of the circle under them. Suddenly, the circle unravels as pink shapes wrap around the circle's border, forming a pink pentagram. Maybe because the star on Ruby is five pointed? "Mirror World corridor partially converted." Mirror World?

"Wh-What are you doing?" Illya asks, looking around a bit afraid.

"We're jumping to the world where the card is." Rin explains simply.

"World?" Illya asks, confused, before her eyes widen, noticing a strange phenomenon. There's a mirror to the world, almost like looking at buildings being upside down in the reflection of a pond or a lake. Reminds me of those couple of missions in DmC Devil May Cry with the news tower. I have to try hard to focus as they slip into another 'reality'.

"When two mirrors face each other, they reflect infinitely." Rin explains. "If this world is just one of those images, then this world is the mirror's surface. The Mirror Surface World. It's in this world that Class Cards exist."

I quickly replicate their trick using First Magic, following them along into another 'dimension'. It's more like a pocket dimension than an actual one.

"Coordinates stable. Spatial orientation complete!" Ruby reports as the world turns a weird greenish color. My sister looks around in awe at the scene before her.

"Hey, Rin-sa-"

But Illya's question is cut off by a black shadow rising from the center of the courtyard.

"No time to explain! Get ready!" Rin says, serious.

"Ready for what?" Illya fearfully asks as the blackness pops fully out of the ground. "What is this?!"

Rin breathes. "It's just like the reports said. The class card is materializing."

"You mean collecting cards isn't just finding them?" Illya asks, sounding scared. Oh fuck, she's gonna have to fight it, isn't she? Not if I have anything to say about it.

"Unfortunately, it's not." Rin says calmly. "In order to collect the card, you must defeat it."

Then, from the blackness...

"Ah! Something came out!" Illya cries. "Nobody told me I'd have to fight!"

"Huh? I didn't tell you?" Rin asks, whipping her head around to face Illya as... is that Medusa Rider that just popped out from the blackness? No, it just looks like her. Her body is being sustained by a card inside of her, almost like it's a heart. She's also... weaker?

"You didn't!" Illya cries, sounding really scared.

Rider the pops up, leaping high into the air before slamming down right where Rin and Illya were a moment ago, both having leaped out of the way. Rin is ready as she grabs three gems, saying, "Anfang! Triple Flare Blast!" The gems explode upon impacting Rider, engulfing the blackened servant in flames. This Rider seems... different, and not just with the black clothes. She seems... dumber? Weaker? Like she's running on instinct rather than intelligence. She's definitely still a Servant, but not as strong as she should be.

Then again, considering she has Monstrous Strength Rank-B normally, it's still worrying to fight her. Though it's currently dipped to a C.

The flames disappear, revealing the Servant standing there, unharmed.

Rin clicks her tongue. "Looks like this kind of magic has no effect at all. Those were pretty expensive gems too." No shit, she has Magic Resistance B as well!

Rider grabs her daggers, readying herself to fight.

"No effect?! What do we do?" Illya shouts.

"I'm leaving it to you!" Rin says, causing the younger girl to blink. "I said I'm leaving it to you."

"Leaving it to me?!" Illya shouts, tears in her eyes.

"You'll be fine. Even if spells don't work, a mass of pure magical energy should have an effect! Good luck!" Rin says as Rider... stands there.

"She's leaving me all the work?" Illya asks, upset.

"Illya-san, get ready!" Ruby warns as Medusa dashes at Illya. Fuck this.

I move right in front of Rider- faster than the eye can see-, and impale my hand through her chest ripping the card out as it's held in my hand.

Rider gasps, making a choking sound as her 'heart' has been removed.

"""EH?!""" I hear Illya, Rin, and Ruby all shout in confusion behind me.

Rider glows purple and gold as she fades away, leaving only the card in my hand behind. I look at the card for a sec, before turning to the shocked and wide-eyed girls (and stick). "So... who wants to explain first? My sister, Rin, the stick, or the other trio hanging out over there?"

"Eh?" Illya blinks as she and Rin follow my gaze.

Walking out from behind the building is Luvia. Along with her is Sapphire, being held by another girl, around Illya's age. She has short black hair held in low pigtails and wears a purple outfit that is part leotard, showing off a fair bit of her thighs.

She's pretty cute.

Although what's really intriguing to me is her reaction to seeing me. Recognition, surprise, joy, guilt, and a lot more go through her golden eyes.

"I'm surprised you managed to notice little Miyu and I." Luvia praises me, barely hiding her surprise. "Unlike this buffoon, Tohsaka Rin."

"Luvia!" Rin growls. "So you're still alive?"

The blonde smiles. "But of course."

I sigh. "Maybe we oughta leave this pocket dimension and then talk."

But the magi duo ignore me.

"Ohohoho~!" Luvia laughs at Rin about something or another, sounding like nails on a fucking chalkboard.

Rin grits her teeth before stopping Luvia's INCREDIBLY FUCKING OBNOXIOUS laughter with a kick to the head. "Shut the hell up!" The brunette magus yells at her rival, who's face down in the dirt. The new girl, Miyu, blinks in surprise. "If you were watching, you should have helped, you stupid corkscrew!"

Luvia groans. "Grievously kicking a lady in the back of the head... This is why I can't stand you ignorant savages!" She yells, nose bleeding.

Rin cracks her knuckles. "You're one to talk! Don't act so full of yourself when you attacked me without warning!" Is that how that fight yesterday started?

Illya just deadpans as the two magi yell at each other. Then they start hitting each other.

"Oh dear, those two haven't matured at all." Ruby bemoans. Then, the albino jumps as the world shakes.

"What is it now?" Illya asks, a bit fearful.

"As the card has been captured, the Mirror Surface World is collapsing." The red stick explains. "For now, we should escape. Hey, you two, over there! We're leaving!"

But Rin punches Luvia in the face, causing her to skid back a ways.

"Impertinent you may be, the precision of your attacks has improved." The blonde compliments.

"You shouldn't expect such routine attacks to keep working." Rin counters, also breathing heavily as the sky cracks. "If I know they're coming, I can endure them."

"Ugh, this is no good. They've started talking with their fists." Ruby says.

"Hey, how can you act so nonchalant?" Illya chides the stick. "We need to hurry up and get out of here!"

"Oh, for fuck's sake." I groan, sending out a pulse of mana that sends us all back to reality. All of the girls and the sticks freeze in surprise, before looking at me again. "Now then, can we please act like civilized people and sit down and talk?" I say with a smile, not bothering to hide my annoyance at this nonsense.

"I knew it! I knew he felt like a main character!" Ruby shouts.

BONUS: Magical Girl ORT-tan

"You know... I was thinking..." Ruby muses.

"Oh, fuck." I say, wide eyed. "Ruby's thinking!"

"Hush!" The stick shouts as her sister and their wielders all giggle. "I got to thinking... Illya-san and Miyu-san don't have rivals!"

"Rivals?" Miyu blinks.

"Yeah! Magical girls always have a magical girl rival!" The red stick says. "I thought maybe Miyu-san would be her rival, buuuut..." She says, slyly.

"Yeah, I get it, but where's the point?" I deadpan.

"We should find them a rival!" Ruby says.

"And how are we going to do that, Nee-san?" Sapphire asks.

"I dunno!" Ruby chirps.

"Seriously?" Illya deadpans.

"Actually..." I hum.

"Eh? You have an idea?" Ruby asks.

"Maybe." I say, standing up. "It... miiiight be a bad idea, but fuck it. I'll be back in a bit." I say, walking to the door.

The door closes behind the boy as he leaves.

"...Why do I feel this sense of overwhelming dread?" The albino asks.

"I think I might've made a mistake." Ruby grimaces.

"I'm back!" The boy shouts, coming back inside.

"Oh? Did you find a- WHAT THE FUCK?!" Ruby curses, to everyone's surprise.

"Sh-Sh-Shirou-san?!" Sapphire stammers, scared as hell.

"Why are you two yelling?" Illya grumbles as Miyu and her find themselves blinking in confusion at someone next to Shirou.

It's a young girl around their age, with lime green eyes, long green and blue hair which turns spikey at the end, and pointed ears. She wears a strange, silver crown thing decorated with glowing green gems, a green and gold shirt/short skirt combo, and gold boots. She also carries a staff and has a confused, yet mostly blank look on her face.

"Ah, let me introduce you to your new rival-slash-training partner!" He says proudly, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder and using his other hand to gesture to her theatrically. "If we're going with Ruby's naming scheme, she'd be Magical Girl Mercury-chan." I know she isn't actually TYPE-Mercury, but the name Mercury fits with the magical girl theme.

"M-M-M-M-M-" Sapphire begins stuttering like crazy as Ruby freezes.

"Mercury-chan?" Miyu blinks, tilting her head.

Illya goes with it, beaming at the eldritch alien machine thing-turned-meguca. "Hello, Mercury-chan! I'm Illya!"

The new girl blinks her green eyes. "Hello, Illya. I am Magical Girl ORT. You may also call me Mercury."

Ruby collapses to the ground.

"Eh? Ruby?!" Illya shouts in fright.

"Sapphire's broken." Miyu says, noticing the blue stick twitching, before it falls to the ground next to her sister.

ORT looks up at Shirou. "Humans are strange."

"Oh, yeah, but that's what makes us great." Shirou smirks down at ORT-tan. "I'm sure you'll find some great things about the human world too, Merc."

"Merc?" She blinks, before looking at her fellow magical girls worrying over the knocked-out sticks. "I see..."

A small, almost unnoticeable smile blossoms on the alien girl's face as she watches the strange humans, an odd feeling welling up inside of her.

"Friends with... humans..."

AN

This rewrite ended up being a combination of the original fourth and (part of the) fifth chapters. I didn't merely want to repeat the manga like I did in the original, where Shirou was also present.

As you can tell, from here on out, things will be a bit different. No more passive Shirou.

A lot, and I mean A LOT of people (who, funnily enough were almost ALL on FanFiction, not Wattpad or Ao3) complained about his passivity a lot.

It got annoying. I found myself agreeing with them. So, here's the rewrite! The Lemons/Limes and Omakes will stay, but the only REAL change will be Shirou being less passive.

Also, look up ORT-tan, she's pretty cute.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and look forward to the next!
