It was later that day at the cafe, Ebony and Ivory were sent off to buy some supplies for their business, leaving Agatha with Tails Doll. The Tails Doll, though mostly silent as to not potentially anger the cat with strong magical power, was still curious about the story's end. It looks to Agatha and begins to speak.

Tails Doll: "Agatha. Would it be any trouble to you if I asked to hear the ending to your story?"

Agatha: "A little… I don't do free performances."

Tails Doll: "Telling a story is a performance?"

Agatha: "In some places, it is. I'm still trying to figure out what Jenni's end goal is with you. Why keep you around? Why give you the ability of speech? Why give you to me? If it's for some redemption arc, then I just laugh at the idea."

Tails Doll: "Why is that? Why is that deserving of mockery?"

Agatha: "Because you are a machine, designed to assassinate. Designed to kill. And you taking on the appearance of the young Miles is only making it harder on any chances of redemption."

Tails Doll: "...I may not be able to register the feelings of others. And I do not deny that I am a robot of some capacity… But I recognize that your anger is less directed at me and more to you."

A glass bottle is tossed in the doll's direction as Agatha glared in its direction, fury in her eyes.

Agatha: "Because I know, no matter what I do, how long I live, how many steps I take, I can't ever be forgiven for what I've done. Redemption doesn't exist! It never has! Every day I am haunted by those screams… By the actions I have done to get this power… Do you know what I had to sacrifice? Everyone I knew! Everyone I loved! My village… My best friend… My innocence… ALL GONE IN A NIGHT!"

Agatha stomps her foot hard, causing an explosion of fiery energy as the furniture around her scatters, plates and glasses break. The cat then collapses to the floor as she sighs.

Tails Doll: "...And yet, you have that blue hedgehog and his friends. Are you saying that if you told them your story, they wouldn't forgive you?"

Agatha: "My past shouldn't involve them… No, it never will… As long as he is gone…"

Agatha grabs a chair and sits down, floating the Tails Doll closer to her using her telekinesis.

Agatha: "Though I speak mostly for myself…"

Tails Doll: "Because you continue, I want to clarify. I have no intention of getting redemption. I don't feel regret; I can't feel regret. I was never programmed to. This exercise is as confusing to me as it is to you."

Agatha looks at Tails Doll for a moment before shaking her head.

Agatha: "Fine. Let's finish my little story. Then we go visit the good doctor and ask her why she asked me to look after you. Deal?"

Tails Doll: "Very well."

Agatha: "Alright. Now… Last time on my misadventures… Me and Tammy had just dealt with the last of the Witchcart Trio and were ready to storm the castle belonging to Wendy. But then… tragedy struck…

Tammy: "WE'RE OUT OF FOOD!"

At the foot of the path leading up to the witch's Dark Castle, Agatha and Tammy were having a quick break to eat and prepare for the fight ahead. Tammy was the one to notice their lack of food…

Agatha: "Calm down, Tammy. You ate just an hour ago, so you'll be fine."

Tammy: "We shall not be fine, Agatha. We are charging into a great battle, so sustenance is a must! We refuse to climb this path on an empty stomach."

Agatha: "...Okay. I can climb the rest of the way on my own."

Tammy: "Wha!? And leave a defenseless fox maiden to fend for herself? How can you be so cruel…"

Agatha just gives the biggest 'Are you serious…?' look at Tammy before just relenting.

Agatha: "Fine… Want me to carry you?"

Tammy: "...No, for you are not a strong and handsome young man who would bow to our every whim~ However, you are a magician, yes? Can you not will food into existence?"

Agatha: "I'm not a miracle worker. But I do have a solution…"

Agatha grabs a nearby stick from one of the many dead trees leading to Dark Castle and draws a circle, then some kind of runes within the circle. She then places a poisonous plant in the center of the circle before then placing her hands down. With a chant, the poisonous plant suddenly becomes… an orange.

Tammy: "Oh?~ What magic is this?"

Agatha: "This is no magic. It's an advanced form of alchemy - Equivalent Exchange. By giving up something, you get something of equal value in return. A poisonous plant whose properties would leave a person ill and dying is exchanged for an orange which will revitalize that same person. That's the best I can do with limited supplies."

Tammy: "Agatha-sama is so smart~ Can she teach us?"

Agatha: "I refuse."

Tammy: "Meanie…"

After sharing the orange, both Tammy and Agatha make their way to the castle entrance.

Inside the castle, the witch is seen brewing something in a cauldron, mixing it with a mixing spoon.

Wendy: "Old Root, Elephant Tusks, Alligator Ears most fine, mixed together will make this world all mine! With this stew I make this hour, my witchcraft shall increase in power! Not even that other witch I shall never lose to, reduce to nothing so I shall not give a hoo!"

Agatha: "Your rhyming needs work, Wendy."

Tammy: "And don't worry about the door; we made it most bendy."

Wendy is startled as she sees Agatha and Tammy had made it to her castle.

Wendy: "Ack! A most foul trick! But you will soon be nothing but brick!"

Wendy then pulls out a straw and starts sucking in her brew, causing her to cackle as she started to feel the power.

Wendy: "Yes, my power rises beyond compare! Now to fight, if you dare! Your defeat shall come! But only if you follow, you big dumb!"

Wendy cackles even more as she runs over to her minecart, using it to get ahead.

Agatha: "One has to wonder what her end goal is… Anyway, come on!"

Agatha flies after Wendy, but Tammy stumbles upon a book. It was a recipe book.

Tammy: "...Oh dear."

Agatha chases after Wendy as the witch rode in her minecart. With a cackle, the witch pulls out her wand and gets ready to cast spells.

Wendy: "Witness my unparalleled power! With my crystals, you'll be reduced to seeds of a flower!"

Agatha expected Wendy to try and freeze her, but instead, the witch casts a spells that creates three chunks of crystal over Agatha's head, dropping them on Agatha in order to crush her; she unfortunately misses as Agatha simply slows down as they are dropped.

Agatha: "Power means nothing if you can't hit your target!"

Wendy: "Grr! You got lucky, but that is all! Prepare for the Saw Hall!"

Wendy fires a bolt of magic at a passing lever, activating a trap as she takes a different path. Agatha raised an eyebrow before seeing buzz saws appear on the ceiling and floor of the hall she was flying through. A group of three saws bounced on a poles, causing Agatha to have to dodge these hazards, or else get cut in half… and mulched by the saws below. Wendy then reappears on a track just outside the halls, laughing.

Wendy: "Try dodging me now, fool!"

More crystal chunks began to rain over Agatha, forcing her to dodge these and the saws at the same time. Agatha, starting to see the real danger in this exercise, ignites her hands on fire before tossing a barrage of fireballs at the buzz saws in her way, flying out of the Saw Hall with a few scratches due to shards of the saws flying at her.

Wendy: "You pest! Why won't you just go away!? Fine… I guess there's no point in the delay!"

Wendy and Agatha end up in the outside part of the castle. With her magic, she brings to life the stone dragon that acts as an ornament piece for the outside, which then starts to chase Agatha. Then with a wave of her wand, Wendy starts to create pillars of crystal in order to obstruct the cat witch. Agatha avoids these crystal pillars and claw swipes from the giant stone dragon. After Agatha avoids the last crystal pillar, she turns around to face the dragon, ramming into it with all speed and smashing through it.

Wendy: "No no no! How dare you smash my minion of stone!? I hope you realize I haven't paid off that loan!"

Agatha: "Not my problem!"

Wendy: "Fine! No more gimmicks! Prepare to become my latest crystal sculpture! For all the present and for the future!"

As Wendy cackles and aims her wand at Agatha, she fails to notice the tracks end abruptly. Wendy turns and sees the end of the tracks before screaming, getting flung out of her minecart. Her minecart gets flung into the ocean while Wendy herself gets caught… by Tammy, who humorously wearing a hard hat as she had a belt of tools around her waist.

Tammy: "Oh sorry. We had to do some quick renovations on the track. This is the end of the line."

Tammy flies back to Agatha as Wendy starts to scream out profanities… in rhymes of course. The fox just drops Wendy onto her head, knocking her out as the witch's wand is passed over to Agatha.

Agatha: "Huh. Nice save, Tammy."

Tammy: "Ahuhuhuhu~ Tis our pleasure, Aggy~"

Agatha: "So what do we do with her?"

Tammy just raises a hand, counting down from three before Wendy suddenly shrinks and vanishes from sight.

Agatha: "Whoa! What happened?"

Tammy: "Her potion wasn't finished; when she drank it, she never let it simmer for twenty minutes, resulting in her boost in power to be temporary. Once the effects ran dry, she shrunk so small that she might as well be too small to see under a microscope."

Agatha: "Huh. Oh well… I guess that problem solved itself."

"After the defeat of the witch Wendy Witchcart, me and Tammy left back to the beachfront we met at, gathering all those encased in crystal along the way. With a wave of Wendy's crystal wand, we broke the curse set upon the village. Falke and Bearanger vanished not long after, but Bonnibel the Rabbit came to, showing that the spell cast on her and her associates had been lifted too. Tammy and I went our separate ways - she resumed her travels, while I stayed on Pito Island, starting my family there. And thus ends that little tale of how I freed Pito Island…"

Back in the present, Agatha stood up with Tails Doll, holding it in her arms as she closed the doors to her cafe.

Tails Doll: "So wait… How did you and Bonny have a falling out? That's what Ivory implied anyway…"

Agatha: "Bonny got jealous when Ebony and Ivory were born. My kids took more precedence in my life at that time, so Bonny just left, thinking my teachings were a waste."

As she said that, Carrotia was on the other sidewalk, leaning against a wall as she was flirting with a guy passing by. She then spots Agatha before glaring and walking off in a huff.

Agatha: "...Hopefully one day she'll learn that there are just more important things in life than herself…"

Agatha and Tails Doll arrive at Jenni's abode where she was overlooking the massive Warp Ring and managing to find a way to power it. …In theory…

Agatha: "Jenni. I'm back to deliver your doll back."

Jenni: "Oh hey. Did you two end up getting along?"

Tails Doll: "My systems are still functional. So I say… I wasn't burned to death at least."

Agatha: "That's one way to put it. We came to tolerate each other."

Jenni: "Good, good. Means my little experiment worked. Which means… I can move to phase two."

Agatha and Tails Doll: "Phase two?"

Jenni: "Doll."

Jenni pulls out Tails Doll's antenna, which still had the Chaos Gem attached to it. The doll looked at it, wondering what Jenni was planning.

Jenni: "I'd like you to join me as part of a squad of Freedom Fighters I intend to form in order to fight my brother, Ivo."

Tails Doll: "You want me… to fight Lord Robotnik?"

Jenni: "Yep. You are capable of change it seems. Maybe not redemption - at least not yet - but you clearly are more your own person than I thought so… I figured giving you the option to join would be best. I've modified your Chaos Gem so it is much stronger than before. So… What do you say?"

Tails Doll looked at its antenna, then at Jenni.

Tails Doll: "You… are aware of how much of a gamble this is… right?"

Jenni: "I'm aware."

Tails Doll: "And you still want to chance it."

Jenni: "Science isn't without risk. Neither is life."

Tails Doll looks at the gem before turning away.

Tails Doll: "I'll think about it…"

Satisfied with that answer, Jenni takes Tails Doll off Agatha's hands, smiling at the cat witch.

Agatha: "A secret team of Freedom Fighters? What, Sonic and his friends aren't enough?"

Jenni: "They are… but they can't be everywhere. By having a dedicated team of trained fighters, West Island will feel more secure. And by having more fighters, we can increase our chances of fighting Eggman on his turf and retake the Kingdom of Acorn."

Agatha: "I see… You've thought about this a lot. Very well… If you need help with anything else…"

Jenni: "I know where to find you."

The two share a delightful laugh together before Agatha leaves back to her cafe. Jenni goes back into her manor where Cassia and Clove looked ready to start training. Jenni smiled as she got herself ready…

But unknown to everyone, in the storage facility where the Death Egg's remains lie, its main computers buzz to life. At first it was static, but then the static took the shape of the emblem of the Eggman Empire. The eyes of the Death Egg glowed a sinister red as the laugh of the mad doctor echoes in the otherwise quiet chamber…
