CHAPTER FIVE: REUNION PART ONE
R.W. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE
The room is small and cramped. The walls are a plain white, but there's a little bit of color added by some plants on another book shelf. The carpet is a little worn, and the windows aren't very big, so the office doesn't get a lot of light. All in all, it feels more like a storage closet than a work space. The office is rather dull and unremarkable at a glance, but the principal wouldn't have it any other way. The principal used to working in tight spaces and likes to keep things simple.
PRINCIPAL: *hums in thought* That's odd… *grabs a folder, opens it* It looks like one of them is homeschool and yet…
If you pay attention you can spot a few things that reflect this principal's true personality. It has pictures of his grandchildren on his desk, with names written below them. In the background, a bookshelf is filled with books about leadership and psychology. On one wall, a certificate proudly hangs. It's a 'Principal of the Year' award. Aside from that, nothing else stands out, so I would say that his office is boring but functional.
He is a half-bald elderly man, with gray hair, and a gray mustache. He wears a white shirt, a dark teal suit jacket, a baby blue tie, brown shoes, and beige pants with a black belt. His name is Wilbur Huggins. He was doing regular routine on sorting some papers when one particular folder caught his eyes.
HUGGINS: *scratch his head* Why does one of the student takes school curriculum if he's homeschool? *flips the next paper* That doesn't make any sense… *sees the report, takes the glasses and wears them* Okay, let see… *reads it* "due to the past "incident" involving this student with its fellow students, this student was supposed to be expelled and never to enter this school or any another school there is, but the former head of the school board convinced the fellow members of the school board and the former Mayor of Royal Woods to reconsider this and let the student continues his education…" *flips the next paper* "They agreed, but the former Mayor stated that he only allows this student to continue if he only does it at his own home as he believe that it's better that way than letting him to set one foot on the school premise." *shock* Expelled?! Incident?! *slams the folder* What happen before that involves the school boards and the former Mayor?! *breaths in, lets a very deep sigh* Maybe I'll call the Mayor later about this… *picks up the folder* now where were we…ah there… "The parents of this students was, of course, outrage about this, but the decision has done so there nothing they could do but to comply. The "victims", per say has been stop coming to school, at first they attend the school every day, but they never interact with any other students, not even the fellow classmates, as the days went by they barely attend to any school activities, then few days after that they slowly started to notice that every time a student, classmate, teacher or even their friends starts a conversation or even come closer to them, they avoided them, sometimes they even run away from them." *flips the next paper* "This continue to happen until few months later, we received an envelope filled with money, somewhere between $50,000-$100,000 and a letter that stated the parents of this "victim" students that their child will be no longer attend the school and they already pick another school for them. This came in a surprise to faculty, because it's almost the end of the school year. We did send someone to talk to the parents about this, so that they could figure it out what causes them to change school, however as they arrive at the parent's address, they find the property to be completely empty and was later found out that they already left the state, some of which is already out of the country. We don't know their whereabouts, we theorize that the cause for them to left, we are certain, which we hope isn't true, that whatever happen from that "incident" cause them to have a severe PTSD and it has gotten worse, but nonetheless the outcome of this cause a rumor to spread like wildfire." *flips the next paper* "To this day, it will be first in this school history that what happen before become an urban legend today, it serves to remember and a warning to all future students that will come here to be careful of their action or there will be consequences that may occur to them. They call this student many names such as "The Demon", and "The Godfather of Royal Woods…" *look confuse* was that a movie reference or something? *shakes his head, continues* "but they never say the student name as they're afraid that the student will come after them" *raise an eyebrow* That's sound a bit a far fetch isn't it? *continue reading* "and they said that if someone did something horrible to someone or something, the Demon will be watching you like a predator waiting to catch its prey, if the Demon catches you, life will come flashes before your very eye before death comes to you."
Principal Huggins was taken aback about what he just read, he didn't know if the person is actually telling the truth or just exaggerated this report. He couldn't contain his curiosity and decided to call the Mayor, if he's lucky to have call with the Mayor soon not later. As he was about to reach the telephone on his desk, it suddenly started ringing, he surprise that someone is calling him in his office but he doesn't have time to think, he has to make a urgent phone to the Mayor, he hopes this will end quickly.
HUGGINS: *picks up the phone* Hello?
FEMALE VOICE (PHONE): Hello, is this the Principal of Royal Woods Elementary?
HUGGINS: *skeptical* Y-Yes, *clear throat* Who am I speaking to?
FEMALE VOICE (PHONE): Who am I is none of your major concern. My client requested to have someone returned to school immediately.
HUGGINS: *thought* It's probably one of those spoiled rich kid that I just expelled… *sigh* Look, I may be the Principal *picks a cup of coffee* but I can't just accept some random–
FEMALE VOICE (PHONE): My client is already aware, *Huggins roll his eyes as he drinks* which is why he already have permission from both the Mayor of Royal Woods and the President of the United States.
HUGGINS: *spits the coffee and starts beating his chest* The Pre– *coughs badly, clear his throat after* The President?! As the President of the United States?!
FEMALE VOICE (PHONE): Yes, did I perhaps stutter or was it not clear?
HUGGINS: *shock* N-No…uh…I mean…uh… *calms himself down* J-Just give me a moment. *covers the phone and thought* Who is this client and why do they want someone in this school? Better yet, return to school?! Is this some kind of sick joke? *uncovers the phone and continues* So…uh… *scratch his head* What this client of yours want someone to…return to school?
FEMALE VOICE (PHONE): That is correct. My client said that he was a former student, but he was homeschool because of what happen in Preschool. My client fined it rude for someone, who he knew has great potential, to have it conceal it by someone who he claim to be have a mindset of a "primitives". With that being said, do you accept? My client told me he will triple the price if he have to.
HUGGINS: *swallow the lump on his throat* H-How much exactly?
FEMALE VOICE (PHONE): $2.5 million and my client also stated that he will add another $5 million if you do it now and also a rare limited edition Ace Savvy comic book and another rare Ace Savvy comic book the included Bill Buck's signature. However, you must keep this conversation a confidential matter.
HUGGINS: *blank face, blinks a few times* Does those two happens to be graded by the CGC?
FEMALE VOICE (PHONE): Yes, they are. One is CGC 9.4 and another has CGC Signature Series label. So do we have a deal, Mr. Huggins?
HUGGINS: *slowly became serious with a deep voice*What's his name?
R.W. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: ENTRANCE
LINCOLN: *twitching eyebrow* You got to be joking.
Lincoln Loud, who has homeschool since Primary School due to the event happen before is now standing right in front of the elementary school as he just step out of the school bus a few seconds ago and by the looks of it…he already hated it. Next to him is his sister Lynn Jr., who also mad about this.
LINCOLN: *gritted his teeth, hard* How did it come to this?
LYNN JR: *deep sigh* Alright. *stretch her body* Let's get this over with. *goes inside* Come on Lincoln.
LINCOLN: *sarcastic* Oh sure, Let's get inside like there's nothing wrong with it. *fake smile, follows her* I'm so excited for my first day on actual school.
LYNN JR: *deadpan* Stop it, Lincoln.
LOUD HOUSE: FLASHBACK [YESTERDAY]
It was just normal at the Loud House…well, normal by the Louds standards but still normal. Everything was perfect, Rita helping Lynn Sr. cooking breakfast, Lori on the living room couch, texting and Leni on the other side of the couch also on her phone. Luna is having a fun playing her new guitar and Luan having a conversation with Mr. Coconuts, Lola is practicing her ribbon dance while Lana is fixing Lola's car. Lily sleeping on her crib and Lisa on her desk, who smell like hasn't showered in days, hair all spikey, not to mention her face shows a very sadistic smile with her eyes is completely red while she writing some notes. Lucy then suddenly appear behind her and immediately snatch a book (from Chapter 4).
LISA: *snap out of it* What the… *looks behind* Lucy, I wasn't finish. *tries to grab the book* Give it to me at once.
LUCY: *dodge to her left* Well, I wasn't finish my studies yet and I had a test for Magical properties and Magical Creatures Exam, *dodge again* if I don't pass the test *jump to dodge* Lincoln will push the limit for me to read from once a week of reading to once for every two weeks. *dodge to the right causes Lisa to hit the wall* I can't risk it.
LISA: *rubs her head* Ow… *shakes her head and growls* It's not fair you get to read every once a week, while I got none. *started forming tears* Why does elder male sibling give you a chance while I don't?
Lisa then fell to her knee and started crying like a toddler, regular toddler. Lucy is still adjusting to this "toddler" version of Lisa, ever since she starting reading the book she somehow manage to steal it or by Lisa point of view "borrowed" from her, she became obsessed with magic, but she doesn't use magic like Lucy. Lisa instead studied to magic as a research for science hoping that she could find something that can greatly benefit the scientific community, and by that she means herself.
LUCY: Sigh… *rubs her temple* Just because Lincoln let me practice magic, it doesn't mean that I use them every day *whisper to herself* only a handful of them are useful for today's standards. *look at Lisa with arms cross* Can't you just ask Lincoln about this?
LISA: *stands up* I did… *started crying* But he refuse to give it to me or even tell me about this. *fell to the floor, having a tantrum* Not fair! Not fair! Not fair! …
LUCY: *shudders at what she saw* I don't like this version of you…not one bit…
LINCOLN (DOWNSTAIRS): *shouts in anger* YOU GOT TO BE JOKING?!
Both girls hears Lincoln scream, curious they decided to come downstairs and see what was going on.
LOUD HOUSE: LIVING ROOM
Downstairs all of the Loud sisters saw that their brother is pacing back and forth with a trouble look on his face and the parents are on the couch, trying to calm him down calm before things gets worse. The sisters didn't know what to do, Lori decided to step in ask.
LORI: Mom, Dad… *they look at her* what's going on? Lincoln is literally walking back and forth with a troubled look on his face.
RITA: W-Well… *looks at Lynn Sr., who nods* Your father and I just came back from groceries when the mail man just arrived with the Letter from Royal Woods Elementary and-
GIRLS: *shouts* I DIDN'T DO IT… *points their fingers* SHE DID!
LYNN SR: *stun* Okay, now I'm curious because of that *stern looks at them* so nobody, not one of you are not leaving till you confess what happen or you're all be grounded except going to school and if you lie, even the smallest of detail, you'll also be spending your spending your summer vacation, grounded till next school semester, am I clear?! *all girl's groan* Good. Now this letter is about Lincoln.
LYNN JR: *raise an eyebrow* What's Lincoln got to do with it?
LINCOLN: *groan* Apparently, the principal thinks it's a good idea to have me start taking classes at the school itself, rather than to continue my homeschool. *growls* Does he have any idea how I don't like going to school in the first place?!
RITA: *smiles* Well, I think it's a good idea, *Lincoln look at her stunned* I mean you been homeschool since you were in Preschool, *pleaded him* can you at least give it a try?
LINCOLN: *trying to find an excuse* B-But what about…uh… *sees Lily* Lily? Yeah, Lily *points to her* who's going to look after her before–
LYNN SR: *stern* Now don't use your sister as an excuse, *lifts Lily up* you're maybe more than 5,000 years old or even older, but we're still your parents and you listen to your mother, do you want to break your mother's heart, are you? *Lincoln shakes his head* Okay, now I already called Kotaro to take care of the restaurant for today so I can take care of Lily for now, *gives Lily a tickle, she giggles* and since Junior will be there, she can show you around the place while you're there.
LYNN JR: *shock* What?!
GIRLS: *shouts as they leave the room*Good Luck Lynn.
R.W. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: HALLWAY
Both sibling walk on the hallway and notices that no one is there. Lynn tells Lincoln to go to Mrs. Johnson's class and said they will continue the tour later, she gives him the direction to her class, and he follows her direction as he hopes that it will end smoothly as it should be.
LYNN JR: *stops as she remembers* Oh one more thing Lincoln. *He stops and looks at her* Don't kill anyone like you did back in Preschool, okay?
LINCOLN: *frown, cross arms* It's not my fault that they're stupid and I didn't kill them. I told them to leave me alone, *sarcastic tone* BUT NO! They just continue like they aren't going to meet Jesus earlier than expected.
LYNN JR: *points her finger at him* My point still stands Lincoln.
LINCOLN: *waves off* Oh alright, *points his finger at him* But no promises.
LYNN JR: *shrug* Eh, sounds fair enough.
After that they part ways, but they didn't realizes that someone is watching them inside one of the locker. Once they were gone, a student burst open the locker and immediately started running like his life depends on it.
R.W. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: MRS. JOHNSON'S CLASS
Agnes Johnson or Mrs. Johnson wears a light green turtleneck sweater, a dark green skirt with a black zigzag stripe, pale green tights, and a gold circle belt chain. She has dark pink hair, which is wrapped into a bun styled, and held together by a pencil.
MRS. JOHNSON: *claps hand* Alright class, pay attention. *sits down* Now, before we start the class, we're going have to wait our student who will be joining us.
MALE STUDENT: *raise arms* Mrs. Johnson, *she look at him* if it's about Clyde, he still with his Dads and said he will be late because their car broke down on the way here.
MRS. JOHNSON: *surprise* Well, Clyde McBride late for class? *stands up* Never thought I see the day he'll late for class for the first time. Thank you for telling me, Rusty.
Rusty Spokes has fair skin and curly orange hair. He wears blue baggy pants, a light green T-shirt with a yellow collar and a yellow ellipse on it, and white shoes. He also has buck teeth, and freckles all over his face.
RUSTY: *leans over* Just keeping eye on my best friend, *smug face* I don't like him getting into trouble.
MALE STUDENT: *scoff, with a southern accent* More like keeping "YOU" out of trouble, *shakes his head* poor feller has to keep an eye on you because of your stupid antics.
RUSTY: *sweats on his forehead* What are you talking, Liam?
Liam Hunnicutt is as tall as Lincoln and has freckles on his cheeks appeared and disappeared. He has orange hair styled into a bowl cut, and two buck teeth. His regular clothing attire consists of a light and dark green striped t-shirt, brown shorts, white sneakers with green stripes, and white socks with red and blue stripes.
MALE STUDENT: *worried* Do you think he's been abducted by aliens? *gasp, grabs a tin foil helmet* What if they replace him with a clone to observe our every move?!
MRS. JOHNSON: *tired sigh, rubs her temples* No one is abducted anyone.
GIRL STUDENT: *raise an eyebrow* Why do he think Clyde's been abducted? *looks at Rusty and Liam* I mean, they're not real… *thinks about it, then gets worried* right?
RUSTY: *scoffs* Good luck telling Zach about that "aliens not real" thing, It's impossible. *looks at her* I know we're only started our friendship with you two weeks after you transfer from a different school, but do you really think you had a chance. *leans back on his chair* Let's not forget that his parents are more obsessed with aliens than he is.
LIAM: *nods* That's right, *looks at her* him and his folk are tougher than the angry bull we have, *scratch his head* although we can convince the bulk to calm down than telling them aliens aren't real.
Zach Gurdle is a short kid with wild unkempt red hair, glasses, buck teeth, and freckles on his cheeks. He wears a white and blue striped polo shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
Stella Zhau is a tall and slender Filipina-American girl, with tan skin, freckles, black hair that curls up at the back end with two strands of hair standing out, two pairs of eyelashes, and noticeably slanted eyes.
Her main attire consists of a white short-sleeved sweater with a red star in the middle and red sleeve cuffs and collar, a knee-long black skirt, white knee-high socks with a red and blue stripe at the top, and green sneakers. She also wears a wristwatch on her right hand and a red hair clip on the back of her head.
Before Mrs. Johnson could say anything, there's a knock on door which not only caught her attention, but the entire class as well. This makes Mrs. Johnson excited as she heard that one of the student, who she heard was homeschool is finally here.
MRS. JOHNSON: *excitedly claps her hands* He's here. *walks toward the door, opens it* Hello dear, you just in time… *look to her students* everyone l like you meet your new classmate, Lincoln. *stands aside the open door, looks at him* Come in and introduce yourself.
The student steps in and it's reveal to be Lincoln with a tired look on his face, everyone is confuse as who is this student and why do they feel like they know him before and why his name sound familiar.
LINCOLN: *waves at them* Hello, I'm Lincoln Loud and I'll will be joining you guys in this class. *smile* I hope we get along.
Everyone, except Mrs. Johnson and Stella, immediately started losing color and mouths wide open, eyes almost pop out of their eyes as they finally remembers him from the stories they were told from the legends. Some past out, while others silently cries and pray to God to keep them safe, one of them was glad that he was force by his friends to wear diaper to school for losing a bet, because he started peeing his pants from the immense fear.
MRS. JOHNSON: *kneels down at his level* Why don't you sit next to Ms. Zhau over there, *points an empty sit* I will be starting our class today. *stands up, slightly pushes him* Go on, now. *goes to her drawer* Now where did I put the chalk?
Lincoln nods at his teacher, walks toward Stella who just waves at him and taps the sit next to her. Everyone in the class didn't move an inch as they are afraid of making him upset. Zach's body shakes uncontrollably, looks down and firmly hold his tin foil helmet, while Rusty past out and Liam managed to catch his head before it hit the desk, slowly puts his head down and looks away from Lincoln, scared to make an eye contact.
Lincoln didn't notice everything around him and just sits next to Stella, who looks at him with a smile. Other student who saw this and thought that she's dead for looking at him.
STELLA: *reach out her hand* Hi, I'm Stella Zhau, a transfer student. *Lincoln shakes her hand* Which school did you transfer from?
LINCOLN: *chuckles* I'm actually a student here, *scratch his cheek* I was homeschool since primary.
STELLA: *surprised* Wow, you were homeschool? *Lincoln nods* Man, must be tough to make friends, huh? *Lincoln just shrug with nervous look, she smiles* But don't worry I'll be friend, I hope we get along.
LINCOLN: *smiles* Thanks a lot, Stella.
STELLA: *wraps her arms around him* If you like, I can introduce you to my friends after class, *Both Liam and Zach flinch* I'm sure you'll like them like I do.
LINCOLN: *chuckles* You're quite a character, aren't you Stella?
STELLA: *release him* Why, thank you. I just hope you don't act up like Rusty, he's a bit a "ladies man" so to speak. *chuckles* Man, you should see him when I first got here, him and the rest of the gang tried so hard just to get a chance a date with me, even though I said I want to be their friend, only to get in trouble when they started fighting and accidently hit one of the teacher's private part which they ended up in the principal's office. *she and Lincoln laughs together* Man, it was funny.
LINCOLN: *calms down, wipes a tear* Well, I wouldn't be surprise… *leans his face on his fist* you're quite a catch. Especially you, since you're cute and all.
STELLA: *shock, but then smiles mischievously* Well, looks like someone is flirting. *lean on the desk* Do you really think I'm cute?
LINCOLN: *smiles* Why not? *grabs her hands and kiss it making her blush* Like I said, quite a catch.
Stella slightly slap his shoulder while Lincoln just laugh at her cute face as she pouts. Everyone is stunned at what they just saw, not only she manage to talk to him and slap his shoulder without getting killed, but were flirting to each other. Liam and Zach are now terrified, because of Stella they have to meet him in person, it's already impossible for them to look at him without passing out like Rusty, let alone meet him.
Mrs. Johnson finally finds the chalk and starts the class without even knowing that the only two of her students are listening to her lectures. Half of them couldn't focus because of the "demonic present" as they quote, while others are brain dead, but their body stays perfectly still.
TO BE CONTINUE…
