Here's the next chapter everybody, and happy late thanksgiving! Not sorry, because despite the shitty year we've been having, it's nice to know at least the feel of the Holidays can help brighten up the people's mood especially through the dark days all of us have had to endure.
Fingers crossed that by the start of next we year we can finally move on from the Corona Virus. If the goverments won't give the vacines to the rich folk first but instead the people who 'actually' need it. Am I right or am I wrong? Your choice.
Okay, that's enough talking from me, let's continue on with the story shall we?
Chapter 7
Hooty's Moving Hassle
Currently it's been well over three days since Evan and Luz had their little 'Dungeon Diving' adventure. Despite almost being killed, they had a very good time and Luz was very much hoping Evan would find them another one to do later on.
In the last three days, things had been rather calm, no magic problems. No Luz getting herself in trouble, no guards or Emperor Coven lackeys chasing them down, it was very nice that they were all catching a small break.
Heck to pass the time Eda was playing a card game with Evan. She was sitting on the couch shuffling a deck of cards mid air. After catching them, the back of the cards gained open eyes looking up at the owl lady who gave a look to her son that he returned back.
" Watch closely, Luz. Hexes Hold'em is the most tricky game on the Boiling Isles. Any proper witch and warlocks knows how to play. "
" Oh boy, cards! The paper rectangles that old people think are fun! " She exclaimed in her usual happy tone making Evan raise and eyebrow in confusion but returned his focus to the game. Pretty soon there were five cards on each side and then static energy began to resonate with one another. The cards grew legs and then roared one another starting to attack one another.
" Now when it looks like the deck is stacked against you, that's when you break out the wildcard! " Eda raised up a single red card with a tower on it. The card glowed green and Evan's cards burst into flames or so it seemed, they were being protected by a barrier. " Wait what? " Her shock was interrupted by a chuckle.
" Nice, try mom, but jokes on you! Hence the name of the Joker's card! " Evan commented holding up a card showing a laughing fool glowing bright blue. Seconds later the flames were sent back to Eda's burning them into a crisp. Afterwards the flames exploded into the air turning into letters.
WINNER EVAN
" Ah, what!? "
" Oooooooooh! " Evan exclaimed. " I beat ya! "
Despite her loss Eda scoffed waving off her son. " Eh, whatever. There's always next time. Also why does it feel...fluffy? " Eda asked in confusion at the last part. Immediately everyone's eyes widened in worry.
Evan grew very nervous at what he was seeing. " Uh...Mom...We got trouble... "
" Trouble? What trouble? " She asked.
" It's happening again! " Luz exclaimed in fear.
" Okay! Seriously what's going on!? " Eda was starting to get annoyed and wanted a clear awnser.
" Your curse is returning! " King was the the one to anwser her question making the owl lady look at her arm and yelped seeing how feathers were now beginning to grow from her arm.
We now cut to Eda's room and they'd just opened up a trunk where she stashes her elixir's. But upon opening it, there was none left, just a bunch of empty vials.
" Oh boy. " She takes out on the vials and tries to make a few drops come out but nothing came out. " This is terrible; I'm out of elixir. "
" Are you sure you possibly don't have a secret back up stash? " Evan asked hoping he'd hear what he wanted to hear.
" No. " Sadly he didn't. " Although, after this I defiantly will. "
" Uh, last time this happened, you turned into this thing. " Luz brought up her phone showing a picture of Eda as the Owl Beast, the same one she took by accident the night they learned of her curse.
" I know I should be repulsed, but that look is fierce. " The Owl Lady commented.
" Mom!/Eda! " Both teens exclaimed at once.
" You're right, you're right. " She planted her fist into an open hand. " We need to head to the market. "
" Market! " Luz cheered getting up heading to the door with everyone else.
" I'm stealing everything that's not nailed down! "
" And I won't there to bust you out of jail... " Evan said in a flat tone.
" Before we go, would anyone like to play one more hand of Hexes Hold'em? " Eda questioned.
" No! No more cards! " Evan groaned rubbing his temples. " We got bigger things to worry about here!? "
" Oh, come on, just one more game... "
" Did you not just hear what I said? " Evan questioned his mother, only for Eda to ignore him as she reached into her pocket and grew confused.
" Hey, where are my cards? "
Unknown to Eda, Luz had her deck of cards hiding behind her back. On que, Owlbert came flying in landing on her hand. " Take these and fly ahead. She'll have to follow us. " Luz whispered and sure enough her mentor did just that and chased after her palisman.
" Owlbert, you adorable thieving looser, gimme back my cards! " She went after him.
Evan looked over to Luz. " Really? "
She smirked in response. " I can be sneaky too you know. "
Evan chuckled. " Clever girl. " They exchanged a low a five.
After a quick ride on Eda's staff they arrived at town, they arrived at the local Potions shop called Mr Elixir's. To help conceal her identity Eda was wearing a red hooded cloak. She banged her fist on the metal fencing of the store making it rattle. " Hey! Open up, Morton! "
" Uh, ju-...just a minute! " A voice replied stuttering from inside.
While this was going on, Evan and Luz were were sitting on a bench with King joining them.
" Is there anything better than people watching in the Demon Realm? "
" Eh, I can name a few. " Evan commented as they watched a large egg roll in, it hatched releasing a large infant bird that screeched before flying away. The demons who were waiting walked inside and closed it, before it rolled away much to the displeasure of big nose.
" Wait, wait! Aw, dang it. "
" And there it is. " Evan said.
" The curse of tiny legs. " Luz finished.
" I know the pain. " King exclaimed sadly, because he too was short just like she was. Then right on que, loud footsteps were heard catching their attention causing the head to scream.
Up in front was an intimidating figure wearing a brown cloak, and eyepatch on his left eye. His weapon was a sheathed sword on his back. And right behind him, were to two associates who were pushing a a wooden cart hauling an insect like demon that was tied securely on there.
Luz and Evan got up over to Eda. " Whoa, that is one ominous parade. " The owl lady's apprentice pointed out.
" That's no parade, those are demon hunters... " They watched as their latest catch tried to get up but was held down. The beast then snapped at the hunter's leader who backed up a few feet. " Dangerous nomads who capture and sell the most powerful beasts. "
" Oh yeah. I heard about those guys. " Evan said as he walked up watching the action along with them. " There's also rumors that sometimes they're hired by the Emperor's Coven. "
Luz glanced over to him. " Why? "
The young warlock shrugged his shoulders. " Who knows. " They watched on as the leader created a green spell circle who then put his hand threw it. He retracted back and with a grunt he put it forward zapping the beast with green lightning making it slump back down. Then for some reason he looked their way as if he knew they were all watching him.
" What you looking at!? " Evan retorted back getting a scoff back from the hunter and motioned his company to keep moving. " I get some beasts need to be handled, but sometimes I swear there only in it for the game. "
" Yeah, well, I'm about to become their next big prize, if you don't open up, Morton! " Eda yelled as she continued to bang on the metal fencing. Pretty soon it opened up revealing the one called Morton.
The warlock in question was a lanky, young man with light pale skin, light brown eyes, and short brown hair. He wears a gray funnel hat and has pointy ears. He wears a mint green long-sleeved top with fingerless gloves, and a long brown overlay dress with a criss cross sleeve and a dark brown belt with a frog necklace.
" Sorry, Eda! I was up all night poison tasting and for some reason I don't feel great. " He said while holding his sides.
Eda quickly cut to the chase. " I'm all outta my juice, pal. " She passed him an empty vial.
" Oh, gee. Lemme see what I can do. " Morton began to look through his assortment of potions. In the meantime while waiting, Evan spotted Willow and Gus walking across the street, he also noticed the moody look Willow had on her.
" Huh. Hey, Luz. " He nudged her and pointed over to their friends. " Were in luck. "
Oh cool! " They walked up to them and Luz greeted them in her normal fashion. " Heya, friends! " But she paused seeing the state Willow was in. " Wait, what's wrong? Who hurt our babies? "
Evan gave her a look. " Did you just seriously say that? Okay, never mind. What's going on? Why the long face? "
" Them. " Willow replied by pointing her thumb over to Amity who was hanging out with her friends.
" What'd they do? " Evan questioned.
" Amity's having a moonlight conjuring and invited everyone but me. " Willow responded sadly.
" And she keeps posting about it on her Penstagram account. " Making a small spell circle Gus made a small roll up scroll appear rolling up and made it hover to Luz and Evan to see a photo of Amity and her group all doing a bunch of poses.
A text appeared underneath the picture. One that Evan read out loud: " 'It's conjuring night! No dorks allowed.' Really? What are we in grade school? "
" Also, what's a moonlight conjuring? " Luz questioned.
This seemed to brighten up Willow's mood as she explained. " You spend the night at someone's house, telling stories, playing games... "
" Like a slumber party! We have those! " Luz exclaimed.
" Then you bring something to life with moon magic! " Willow brought up a book showing a picture.
" A weird slumber party! "
Evan glanced over at her. " Okay, Luz we get it already... "
" Gus and I have never been to one; you need at least three people and- " Luz cut her off again.
" I'm three people- I mean, we're three people- " Evan cleared his throat correcting her. " Sorry, four people and we're way better than them! "
It was there that Amity and her friends came up by them, one of the witches a girl with pink skin, hair and three eyes laughed catching there attention. This was Boscha. " Sorry you couldn't get an invite to the conjuring, Willow, only real witches and warlocks allowed. "
Amity sighed. " Leave her alone; it's not her fault she was born without talent. " Amity said and then her friends took notice of Evan.
" But you on the other hand are more then welcome to join us if you want to~ " Boscha said in a very flirtatious tone keeping her three eyes locked on him.
He in return gave a bored look. " Pass. "
" Eh, your loss on missing the chance to get to spend time with some 'real witches'. Unlike those two. " She said glancing over at Luz and Willow.
Willow growled in frustration making a few thorn vines emerge and even Luz was feeling ticked off after that comment.
" Uh-huh. Well, let me ask you one thing. What do you think of this? " On que the skin of his face slowly peeled off with blood running down his clothes, revealing a horrifying monstrous face that split it's jaw two ways emitted a god awful shriek making the bullies scream and run away in fear. On que, his face return to normal with the blood disappeared in a puff of smoke followed by the group laughing a bit while the so called 'Devil Eye' sighed in content. " Ah, I love that one. Never get's old. "
" That was some pretty impressive illusion magic. " Gus commented. " Even though it was gory and horrific, and I'm possibly traumatized still impressive. I respect your showmanship. "
Evan chuckled a bit rubbing the back of his head. " No problem. Ain't no one gonna mess with you guys while I'm around. "
Willow smiled upon hearing his words. " Thanks Evan. "
" Aw...You big softie...Come here..." Luz gave him a hug making him narrow his good eye supporting a light blush. Even though, he didn't want to admit it, but he actually liked it. She let go of him and turned back to her hexside friends.
" Anyways, Willow you shouldn't waste your time getting thorny over them, 'cause we're gonna have our own moonlight conjuring. "
" Are you serious? " Gus was beyond excited upon hearing this. " This was on my bucket list, after owning a real human bucket!
" That's a really weird thing to want, but I appreciate your enthusiasm. "
" Hey, hey... " He whistled getting their attention primarily his roommate. " Luz, you do know this has to run by mom first right? "
" I'm sure she'll be fine with it. Which is why I'll let you do the talking. "
He groaned in annoyance. " Fine... "
Back with Eda she was starting to grow impatient with Morton who had just finished trying to find some more elixir. But sadly, he was empty, there was nothing. So nervously he was kneeling behind the counter looking at the Owl Lady's agitated eyes.
" I've got bad news and good news. Bad news is I'm all out 'till next week. Good news is feathers are a good look for you. "
A feather popped out of her hair and was not pleased with the news. " Morton! "
" Well gee, E. Why'd you wait to re-up 'till now? " The potionist questioned.
" I've been very busy. "
" Yeah, busy playing Hexes Hold'em. She's obsessed with it! " The canine anwsered his question still sitting on the bench.
" I am not obsessed! " Eda countered back.
" You're playing it right now! "
What King said was ture she had a few cards on the counter of the stand as if her body just placed them on there by itself. " ...Am I winning? "
Morton gained a serious look in his eyes. " You know, I wouldn't suggest this to just anybody, but if you need your elixir you can try your luck later this evening. "
" In the night market? " She clearly wasn't expecting to hear this.
" There's a guy with a stand, goes by Grimm Hammer; if anyone has what you need, it's him. " He then passes her a small pouch. " Also here's what you asked for. If your looking for the rest of it. Then it'll be there to. " He said before going back inside his shop leaving Eda to stare at what she was given with a look of concern on her face.
" Hey mom quick question? " Her thoughts were snapped out of it as she quickly tucked the pouch into her cloak turning around to face her son and apprentice. " Would it be alright if if Gus and Willow came over tonight to do a Moonlight Conjuring? "
" We like to do it so we can stick it to Amity. " Luz chimed in. " So can we?
" Not tonight. " She quickly replied back. " I'm going out. So I need you both to watch the house, I have many precious objects in there. "
" Like me~ Whoa! " Eda picked up King by the collar. " You're coming with me; I need an extra pair of eyes looking out for pickpockets, and an extra pair of hands in case I want to pickpocket. "
" Pickpocket! " Both demon and witch exclaimed at the same time.
Luz tried to persuade her. "Then, maybe they can come to the house and- "
" No! " Eda cut her off. " Besides, conjurings are dumb. "
" So you're telling us you ain't never done one before? " Evan asked crossing his arms not buying his mom's reply.
" Of course I have. All you do is sit in a circle holding hands, it's like magic for babies. " She walked off on them.
" But- " Much to their luck Willow and Gus rushed over to them.
" Luz Evan! What did Eda say? " Both she and her fellow classmate were anxious to know the anwser.
Evan knudged Luz with her elbow, telling her it was her time to do the talking and bring the bad news.
" So...guys... "
" Oh, look! " Gus cuts her off pointing to the moon of the Isles, which oddly enough resembled a human skull. " The moon is rising into place; the celestial powers only align once a year. "
" Oh, I can't believe I finally have enough friends for a moonlight conjuring! Thank you, you both so much! Did Eda say it was okay? "
Both teens were now nervous and they exchanged a worried glance. Knowing what had to be done, Evan decided it was him who should reply. " Actually n- "
" Yes! " Luz beat him to the punch much to his dismay. " Eda said yes. We can do it at the Owl House...as long as we don't make a mess or touch anything and never bring up that we did it! " She laughed nervously as she noticed the frown Evan was giving her.
" Yes! " Gus exclaimed happily.
" Oh, you're both the best! " Willow was now more happy upon hearing the news. They then walked off singing out. " We're gonna do a conjuring! We're gonna do a conjuring! Conjuring! Conjuring! "
Once they were gone Evan suddenly grabbed her by the shoulders and got real close to her face. " Why did you do that!? "
" I'm sorry! It was the heat of the moment! " She was quick to reply back making Evan groan as he let her go rubbing his forehead.
" Luz, didn't you hear what mom said? You got to tell Willow the truth. Even it's gonna hurt. "
" I know, I know. But Evan she's so bummed out, we gotta do this for her. "
" Luz, you ain't listening to me. I want to do this to, and if I do this I'm gonna get in trouble. It ain't gonna be just on you it'll be on my head too, especially! "
" Evan, look, I know I did something I wasn't supposed to do, but, this is kind of a big thing for me too. "
He grew curious. " I don't follow. "
" Remember how I told you how I didn't exactly fit in at home? "
" Yeah. "
" I... " Luz rubbed her arm nervously. " I never had a slumber party before. "
" Oh..." He paused for a moment in thought. " Well, looks like were in the same boat then I never had one either myself. Considering my status... " He grumbled the last part since he was technically considered an outlaw on the Boiling Isles in the eyes of the law.
" Then this'll be a first for both us then! " Luz said actually bringing up a good point making the one eyed warlock hum in thought. He had never other people over at home before, aisde from other family members, which was just about it. He wasn't raised to be like a normal warlock, which had quite a few good perks. On the other hand though, he'd have to miss out doing some of the normal things others his age would be able to do or even experience.
" Alright, fine. I'll do this, but you owe me one. "
" Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! " She said multiple times not noticing how much he was having a hard time breathing, despite tapping her on the side.
Hours later the sun had went down, and night had now fallen upon the Boiling Isles. Outside the Owl House the crickets were chirping. Inside Eda had put her cloak back on.
" Mom you sure you don't need me to come with you? " Evan asked as his mother put on her cloak.
" Oh, come on Evan you ain't gotta worry about your mother. I'll be fine. "
" Uh-huh, that's typically how it all starts out, before it all goes down south. "
She chuckled appreciating her son showing concern for her and patted his head. " I'll okay Evy, don't worry. Now, while I'm out your in charge and make sure Luz and Hooty doesn't get into any trouble. "
" Hoot hoot! I don't need a babysitter! " The door swings open inside. " I'm a big boy house! " The sentry said pouting a bit.
" Yeah and what about me? What did I do? " Luz asked in a confused tone. In response Eda gave her a flat tone.
" Oh gee, let me think... " Eda began to recall a few things Luz did in the days she's been with them.
Flashbacks
We first cut to see Luz in the kitchen humming away, preparing to cook a pizza putting the toppings on the sauce. She then adds some sort of glowing chili pepper as another topping. But once she did, it exploded into the air. At the same time Evan comes in and is unable to react as the whole pie hit's him square in the face knocking him down onto the floor.
Next we see Luz trying to do a little gardening and she'd just got a big rock out of the ground. After a few steps she dropped it off the side of the cliff dusting off her hands in the process. Seconds later a massive five headed sea serpent appeared all the heads including the one where the rock had hit glaring down at her.
We now cut to night time and the inside of the Owl House had the lights all turned on.
" Luz! Why'd you leave the lights on!? " Eda's voice was heard from inside and then a whole horde of demons came flying right towards it. They bumped into the house causing it to shake with everyone screaming inside.
Flashbacks End.
" Okay, for the record I said I was sorry. But that aside, you can on on us. We'd never betray your hard-earned trust. " She laughed nervously making her mentor narrow her eyes at her.
" You're acting suspicious. You're doing that thing where you hide in your hoodie. "
" Meow I'm not. " She was doing just that and quickly took off her hoodie. " Uh...oh, where's King? " She changed the subject and luckily for her Eda bought it.
" He's right here. " Eda opened up her cloak to reveal the small canine was fast asleep in a baby strap snoring away. " His little body just conks out when he's weightless. Look at this. " She moves around a bit and his whole body moves along with it.
" Luz loved this and gently lifted up his legs. " Aww, he's so dangly. " Then for some reason she looked over to Evan who gave her a bored look.
" Whatever the heck your trying to picture, please get it out of your head. "
" To late. " She smiled in response making Evan faceplam himself.
" Anyway, really going now. " Eda walked outside with everyone else. " And Evan. " He and Luz gained worried looks as she turned around to face them pointing over at them. "...If you both mess up the house, I will never trust either of you again. " She said in a threatening tone before returning to her normal self. " No pressure! Bye! " Owlbert hooted to life and the witch flew off.
Evan put an arm over her shoulder pulling him over to him. " Just for the record, I take back what I said today. You owe me big time. "
" That's alright, Willow is counting on us. " She turns over to a few bushes in front of the house and whispered. " Okay, she's gone. "
" Release! " Willow's voice was heard and the bushes dispersed revealing the witch and warlock in different clothing. " I'm a sneaky sneakster! "
" I've got leaves in my pants..." Gus commented. " and I like it. "
The door opened up and Luz led let them inside all while they were ignoring Hooty who was pleased to see some new faces. " Company! Hooray! Finally someone to listen to my stories! Okay, one time, a sparrow flew into my mouth, and then I- " The door shuts. " Hey... " Hooty coughs and a sparrow came out chirping away.
" Well guys, I offically welcome you to my home, the Owl House. " Evan said doing a short introduction since they've never actually been inside before until now. " And as you can see this is the Living room. "
" And we call it that because it's technically living! The walls are breathing, look. " Luz chimmed in and gestured to a part of the wall that was acutually breathing air. Willow went over to it.
" Enchanting. "
Nearby Gus was looking through a small chest. " And look at all these human treasures... " He pulled out an eight ball before pulling out a human skull. " And actual humans! "
Luz emerged holding out a bowl full of eyeballs" We've got snacks, we've got weird music! " She places a needle on a gramophone that plays an evil witch's laughter.
" Yeah, I don't think were gonna need that. " Evan commented as he took the needle off.
" We've got a bucket! " Gus exclaimed happily with a said object over his head.
" Gus, my man. " They both exchanged a high five.
" And best of all we've got actual friends to do the conjuring with! " Willow exclaimed happily holding her hands together. " This is so exciting! "
" Okay, so how does a conjuring work? " Evan asked earning a baffled look from her.
" You've never done before? "
" No. Up till today, this was the first time I've ever heard of it. "
" How could you not know about this? Did you used to live under a rock or something? " Gus questioned.
" No and are we really gonna get into this? "
" Well first, we find something to animate. " Willow replied as she went over to a nice looking flower pot. " Since it's our first time we should pick something meaningful, something beautiful. "
Gus pushed through the plants. " Like this strangely buff little man? " He held out some sort of wrestling action figure. He squeezed it and the toy spoke. " I'm half beef half buff! "
" Yes! He's perfect! " Luz instantly agreed with the idea while Willow was a bit hesitant.
" That's not exactly what I meant by "beautiful". " Willow said and instantly Gus got sad, he started to whimper and put on the puppy eyes. Realizing it wasn't that big of a deal she gave in. " Okay, buff boy it is. "
Luz hugged up on her. " Yes! "
" Tonight he shall be risen! " Gus declared triumphantly and then they heard Evan clear his throat.
" I got a question. Would it possible if we could bring to life to different objects at once? " He asked bringing out a Rainbow Mothra figurine.
Willow hummed in thought. " Normally, it's just one item. But Why not? We can add that into the conjuring. "
After the decision was made, Evan brought out some candle's and started lightening them up. While he did this making sure nothing caught on fire, Luz, Willow and Gus got together in a small circle with the toys on the floor right in between them.
" According to the conjuring books I've read, we say the incantation to make a connection with the toys. "
" Evan, you joining us? " Luz questioned.
" You guys get started without me. I gotta go, nature calls. " He goes up the stairs.
" Okay, let's get started. " Gus said as they all grabbed hold of their hands.
Gus and Willow began to chant with blue energy starting to coat the trio. While Luz was trying her best to repeat what they were saying but was having a hard time doing so since she didn't know the words. Outside, the moon had finally risen into place, and unknown to the trio, a wave of blue energy erupted from them, putting out all the candles, and the lights.
The group opened their eyes to see if they were successful.
" That's your cue little fellas. " Gus said to the toys and instead of coming to the life, the very ground began to rumble and shake. Outside Hooty's eyes glowed bright blue as the shaking intensified scaring the birds who called the very place they call home.
Everyone inside lost their balance including Evan who fell out of the bathroom. " What the hell!? " He got up and rushed quickly to the living room. Once he got there, the whole place was a mess, there was stuff scattered all over the floors, as if a bull was let and everyone was on the floor. " Hey everybody alright!? "
" Were fine! Guys is it just me, or did the entire house just hiccup? "
" Little buff guy, what did you do? " Gus squeezed the toy as it spoke. " A real man never takes accountability! "
" No, I think- " Willow began to realize what happened. " I think we might've animated the house by accident. "
" The house!? " Both Evan and Luz exclaimed at once glancing at one another. Quickly they rushed outside, they noticed Hooty's glowing eyes and quickly enough Evan caught Luz from falling down. In fact, the whole house was up in the air, and beneath it were two large bird like legs. Sure enough the house started walking forward.
" Okay, this is not good... " Evan said in a nervous tone while Luz went over to Hooty.
" Hooty? Hooty! Hooty, you have to stop! "
" By the power of moonlight, I have risen. Hoot hoot. " The sentry said.
" What the heck's wrong with him!? "
" He's in some kind of trance! " Gus anwsered Evan's question as they went through some tree's and accidentally Gus lost his footing and quickly enough Luz and Willow caught his hands while Evan held the two witch's with his arms doing his best to keep himself stable.
" Our magic must've spread through the house instead of the toys! "
"Yeah, I think we already figured that on- " He stopped talking as his eyes widened out. " Uh guys, there's a cliff! " Evan pointed forward and much to their dismay there was. Evan let go of their arms and grabbed hold of their hands. Unknown to them, they were all coated in blue energy.
" Hooty, you stupid bird stop! " The one eyed warlock yelled as loud as his lungs could let him and it seemed to work, for the walking house froze in place just in the nick of time. He opened up his good eye to see that they were still alive. " Wait, that actually worked? " They let go of there hands after getting Gus back up.
" How'd we do that? " The warlock asked in confusion.
" Eva, Willow, Gus, hold hands again. " Luz figured it out, once again they were coated in energy and the house began to walk backwards.
" Okay, I gotta admit, this is pretty cool. " Evan commented.
" We're controlling it with the power of friendship...uh- and the moon. " Willow corrected herself. " Probably the moon. "
Gus was very excited with this turn of events. " This is amazing! What do we do now? " "
" On the one hand, we should probably stay put. " Luz suggested and then Gus made his. " On the other hand, we've got a giant walking house and should totally take it on a joyride! "
" Did you forget that I live here? " Evan asked getting his attention. " If mom finds out she's gonna kill me and Luz. We gotta put it back. "
" Actually Evan, were okay. " Luz said pointing up to the moon that was slowly going down. " It'll be fine. We'll be back before the moon sets. I promise. "
Evan looked over to his friends and back at the moon for a moment. He then realized, if this was really his first Moonlight Conjuring, why not make the most of it? " You know what. Yeah, let do it. "
As they yelled out happily going for a joy ride, the group was unware that someone was watching them. That someone was the leader of the demon hunters.
Elsewhere Eda had just entered the Night Market. This was a special area that was only open once the sun went down. While some would be able to find what they needed during the daylight hours, the night market was just about the same. Well not mostly, there were certain stands that sell all sorts of different stuff, most notably the shady characters.
As Eda made her way inside she sighed, and noticed more feathers were beginning to sprout from her arms. " The curse. I need that elixir. Quick. " She spotted someone in the corner. " Hey, you. " She got the creature's attention. " You know where I can find a Grimm Hammer? " The creature growled nodding it's head in response before it's mouth opened and a small creature emerged from one of it's empty eyesockets pointing them into the right direction.
The stand that had a large skull and curtain covering the front of it. As she went over to it, the goblin creature extended out it's tongue snaring the rat out of it's eye.
" Hey Evan? Did you know that the house had legs? " Luz questioned as they continued walking through the forest.
" No, this the first time I've ever seen them. I don't think even my folks knew about them. " Evan said before they stopped. Up ahead was Boscha walking through the woods carrying what looked to be a sleeping bag.
" Hey, is that... "
" It's Boscha. " Gus confirmed who Willow was seeing. " That girl who made fun of us. " Evan quickly hushed them so they could listen to what she was saying. She was talking on what appeared to be a crowphone.
" Ugh! Yes, Mom. I'm going to a moonlight conjuring. No, Mom. You can't come. And yes, Mom, it's sad that you're asking. " She hung up and the crow flew off cawing away. She then turned around and saw the house, but since they were behind a hill she didn't know it was alive nor the four of them on the front.
" She noticed us. What do we do? "
" Hmm. " Luz gained an idea and whispered into the groups ears. Immediately they smiled and then Gus made a loud horn out of energy and she started speaking through it. " Hey. H‐Hey you. You should, uh, stop being so mean to people. You're kind of a jerk. " They all hid laughter at what they were doing.
" Ew. A talking house is giving me a lecture? " Boscha commented. " Whatever. I'll just TP you like I did with the rest of the neighborhood. "
" Oh, my turn-my turn. " Evan whispered gently moved Luz aside and cleared his throat doing a very deep intimidating voice impression. " Oh really!? I'd love to see you try! " They made the house rise up and Evan did a pretty impressive roar scaring Boscha who screamed running away.
" I've never pranked anyone before. And now I have a taste for it. " Evan put a hand on Gus's shoulder.
" Welcome to the club. "
" We should follow her to Amity's house to show off our conjuring. " Willow suggested. " That will show her who's got no talent. "
Evan and Luz looked up into the sky and saw the moon was much more lower then it was earlier. " Actually, I'm starting to think we should head back. " Luz suggested.
" Amity's updating her Penstagram. " Gus brought back out the scroll from earlier.
She read out loud: " Shout out to my fellow witches. #Humans can bite it. " She gasped upon hearing this and grew angry. " Let's do it. "
" Just so were clear I'm fine with this. " Evan commented as he to didn't like what Amity had posted. And so with that said, they began to make their way to town.
But what they didn't realize was that a group of cloaked figures were jumping through the tree lines.
Meanwhile back at the night market, Eda poked her head through the curtain of the stand she was directed to.
" Hello? Uh, I seek the one they call Grimm Hammer. "
From the darkness a small head was seen " I'm the one they call Grimm Hammer. " The demon said in a eerrie voice just as the curtains raised up startling the witch.
Then the seemingly threatening demon jumped up onto the counter revealing something she didn't expcect. The one called Grimm Hammer was a pig-like demon with a curly pigtail with a red barbed tip and huge ears with a pig nose and two small protruding tusks. He also wears glasses with an orchid vest and lilac bow added on to a white dress shirt. " Welcome, welcome, welcome. I've got weaponry from the Hinterlands. Curses from the Winterlands, and jelly beans! " He threw some of the sweets into the air.
King happily caught one. " Jelly beans! "
" They're lethally delicious. " Tibbles added.
As King was gonna eat it Eda smacked it out of his little paw. " You are Grimm Hammer? "
" Tibblet‐Tibblie Grimm Hammer the third. " He bowed his head. " Please, call me Tibbles. "
" King laughed at what he said. " He wants to be called that. "
" Okay, Tibbles. I need some of this elixir. " Eda passed him an empty vial.
" Oh. This is one wicked brew. " Using his tail, Tibbles brought out a new one. " Lucky for you I just stocked up. "
" Huzzam! " Eda brought out her purse. " I'll give you ten snails. "
" Add two more zeros and it's a deal. "
" A thousand snails? What kind of game are you playing? "
" Capitalism. " Tibbles replied as he went back into his booth. " Where everyone wins, except you. "
" Hey! " As Eda was about to say something, she noticed a deck of cards from her favorite game. Instantly she gained an idea. " Say, you play Hexes Hold'em? "
" Really? Now? " King questioned his friend.
This gained Tibbles attention. " Oh! Is that what that game is called? " He chuckled using his tail to set himself down grabbing the deck of cards. " I was just using these as coasters. "
" How about we make it interesting? " Eda set the terms. " I win, you give me the elixir. You win, you can take something of mine. "
" Oh, what fun. You're on. " The pig said.
Back with the group they had now just got the Owl House into Bone's Burough. However things were pretty much going down south, because they were causing a commotion. By scaring at least most of the residents who were out walking in the streets.
" Okay, Willow where is it? " Evan asked already having a bad feeling all the sudden.
The house stopped and Willow pointed forward. " Right over there. " She pointed over to a large mansion, with a metal gate that had her family's name.
" Wait, she's rich to? " Evan was not clearly expecting this. " Didn't expect to find out that this way. "
" Come on guys... " Willow spoke up sounding a bit determined. " Time to show Amity what a real conjuring looks like. " As they were making their way over, a large rope was fired above them stopping them in place. " What happened? "
" My guess is something not good. " Evan said.
Luz looked on ahead fearfully. " Is that a... giant crossbow? " She didn't need an anwser because the weapon fired a rope right above the house trapping it in place.
Then some sort of canister landed in front of them. Immediately it emitted a green mist that spread all around them and very slowly they all drifted off to sleep.
As there sight was slowly dwindling the lead Demon Hunter jumped in front of them kneeling down to their eye levels. " Knock, knock. "
Minutes later, Evan began to stir awake and after hearing a horn blare, his eyes snapped open. He also heard the sounds of large wooden wheels moving, if it wasn't bad enough, Luz, Willow and Gus were tied up in ropes, while he was wrapped up in magic nullifying chains.
" Guys! " despite his position he slowly trutted over to them. " Guys, wake up! C'mon. ! " He bashed into them, and bashed his side into them causing them to snap back to their senses.
" Evan what's going on? " Luz asked slowly adjusting to what was happening.
" What else does it look like!? We got captured! By the freakin demon hunters! " The one eyed warlock said bitterly. " But we guys we gotta try and get out of here! "
" What do you think I'm trying to do!? " Gus retortted as he tried to chew on the ropes. As for Luz she was kicking the door." Hooty! Hooty! You have to wake up. "
" If you want this to end as you say, three or more of us hold hands. It's the only way. " The sentry said still in his trance.
" ¡Oye, no me hable así! " Luz cursed in Spanish and looked to her friends. " Willow, will you help me out with Hooty? "
" I'm sorry, Luz. " Willow replied in a very sad tone no doubt she was feeling guilty for them being captured in the first place " You shouldn't ask me to help with anything. "
" Willow... " As Luz was about to say something the house stopped moving and they all rolled on their sides. " Did the house just stop moving? "
" Yes it did... " Evan replied in a flat tone because they were rolled out on top of him. " Just my luck too... "
" Sorry... " The trio said right before the door opened revealing the hunter leader making his way inside while laughing a bit. He then picked them up by their restraints and shoved them to the ground near some of his subordinates.
" Take the house and rip out the house demon. We can sell it to restaurants as exotic meat. " He said while hopping off the rock.
" No! Hooty would taste terrible. "
" Hey, I'm a refined taste. Hoot! Hoot! " The sentry exclaimed offended by what Luz said even though it wasn't her attention.
A green skinned demon looked to their captives. " What do we do with the worms? "
" Throw them over the cliff. Except for that one. " He pointed over to Evan who was glaring over at him. " The Devil Eye's bounty is worth more if he's alive. " The green demon chuckled as he started moving them.
" No! " Seeing this Evan struggled to break free from his grips. " No! Leave them alone you bastards! " As he kept resisting the lead hunter grabbed him by the cheek.
" Tough luck kid...Now shut u-Aaaaaahhhh! " He suddenly screamed in pain falling down on his back. The reason why was because Evan head butted him in the nose breaking it in the process. Seeing this, the other hunters made their own spell circles each one zapping the young warlock causing him to scream out in pain as he slumped down to his side.
The group gasped as what they were seeing. " Evan, no! " Despite her best Luz couldn't run over to her friends side.
" Keep going! " The green demon kept pushing them forward to the cliffs. " All righty, kids. Here's the end of your short little lives. "
" Wait! " Gus managed to maneuver around to face him. " Wait! Wait! Is this really what you wanna be doing with your life? Tossing kids from cliffs?
" Actually, yes. It's been my dream since I was a boy. " Hearing this they gave him a very questioning look. " I was a strange child. Whee! " He pushed them off and laughed hearing there screams.
What he didn't know was that they were still alive. Luckily for them a lone branch was long enough to catch them. All they could do was hang in place.
" If we're not killed now, we will be when Eda finds out about the house and Evan being taken. "
" Luz, I'm so sorry. " Willow appologized. " You both wanted to turn back but I just had to show off to Amity. The truth is she and I used to be friends. "
" Whaaat? " Luz was clearly not expecting this plot twist and noticed the branch was starting to break.
" We played together as kids, but when she got her magical powers and I didn't, she stopped hanging out with me. "
" Guys, is now the best time? " Gus questioned the two witch's.
Willow then sighed. " I just wanted to prove to her that I was a powerful witch too. But instead, I risked our lives, and I put one of my only few friends even more of harms way... "
" That's ridiculous. You helped bring a house to life. Amity doesn't know what she's talking about. " Willow smiled hearing her words. " Next to Eda and Evan, you're the most powerful witch I know. No offense, Gus. "
" No, not at all. " He didn't sound bothered one bit. " I know what I'm about. " There attention was once again refocused to the branch that was now continuing to break. " This tree can't hold us much longer! "
Seeing an opportunity for them, Willow managed to wiggle out one of her arms free. "There. Now, if I could just reach that... root...Gotcha! " She succeeded and her magic began to take effect.
Meanwhile back at the Night Market, Eda was not doing so well. Her whole playing field was burned. This meant Tibble's had much more skill then he actually admitted. " Oof. That was painful to watch. " King said because he witnessed the whole thing transpire.
Eda was beyond furious. " You card shark. You hustled me! "
Tibbles merely chuckled in amusement. "Looks like you forgot about my wild card. " He said holding up the same card Eda has used earlier that day. They watched as it jumped out of the pigs hand and roared before turning around for some reason revealing a buff goblin. It tore off the shirt and did a small victory dance.
" In any case, I'd like my prize now. " He eyed King. " And I choose the little bone boy. " He took him off the Owl Lady's chest. " I've always wanted a tiny servant to model my line of baby clothes. "
" No! I don't look good in clothes. I'm all‐natural! " The canine said fearfully and turned to his friend. " Eda, do something! "
Eda attempted to make a spell circle but instead a whole bunch more feathers sprouted out of her arm. She grunted in annoyance. " I can't perform magic. " She was in a bad spot and to make matters worse, Tibbles snapped his fingers making two energy chains burst from the ground wrapping up around Eda as she tumbled to the ground. "You think this can stop me? I can still bite your ankles. "
" You don't think I know who you are? " Tibbles said leering down at her. " Eda, the Owl Lady. " The said witch now realized she was in even way more trouble then before. " That's right. " The pig brought out one the thousands of wanted posters of her. " I've seen your wanted posters around here. I wonder how much the Emperor's Coven would pay me to hand you over? "
Back at the cliff the lead demon hunter finally got over his pain, he wiped off the blood and put his nose back in place making a noise. Once it was done marched over to Evan. " You little shit! " He kicked him in the stomach making him grunt in pain. " You know what, just for what you did, I'm actually reconsidering taking you in alive. "
Evan got himself up, took a deep breath and spat the guy right in the face. " Go to hell you fake eye patch wearing asshole... "His enemy growled as he was about to draw his sword.
" It's done sir. " His attention was redirected back to his green subordinate.
" Are you sure? "
" Yeah, they tried to fight back and they nearly got me. But you know, I handled it. " Evan growled upon hearing this, and unknown to the hunters Evan had something in his hands the whole time, something he managed to snag from the house. It was a small metal filer, while not necessarily the best way to use on chains, he had no choice but to work with what he had.
" They were children, Tom. " The leader said in a flat tone not buying his story.
" By the way what happened to your nose? " As his boss was going to anwser a arge shadow hovered over them. They all looked over the cliff and were shocked to see the kids they threw over were on top of a massive plant controlled by Willow's magic. Evan couldn't help but smile seeing they were okay, and he grinned feeling the chains were feeling looser.
" We may be children, but we're also witches and warlocks. Powerful ones. " Willow said as a thorny vine cut their ropes.
" Secure the Devil Eye now! " The hunter leader commanded and focused on fighting the vines coming his way.
As the few hunters rushed over to Evan, he finally got loose and stood up letting the chains fall off him. Once they did he spun around using the tip of his right boot to draw spell circle in the ground. As it glowed, a burst of dark shadows erupted around him. Pretty soon the one eyed warlock emerged taking on the form of a wailing a spirit with his eye glowing bright red. He phased through the hunters causing them to faint, and flew into the air crashing back into the ground, causing shadows to ensnare those who were foolish enough to try and take him on as he returned back to normal.
He looked over to his friends who had their jaws drop in surprise. " What are you waiting for!? Let's go! " They didn't need to be told twice as they all rushed over back to the Owl House while they had the chance.
Luz slammed the door as they entered and looked over to Gus and Willow. " Guys! Quick! " The three of them joined their hands together.
While the hunter leader was occupied cutting a tentacle, he failed to notice the animated Owl House was freed from it's restraints. He lifted up his fake eyepatch to be sure if he was actually seeing this. " Uh... " Was all he could muster as a single foot stomped on him.
Evan chuckled at what he witnessed. " And I was right... " He groaned a little as he stabled himself up against the wall walking over to the couch. As he doing so, Luz helped him out looking concerned for him.
" Are you okay? "
He in returned patted her shoulder in reassurance. " Yeah, yeah. I'm fine. " He looked outside the window and saw the moon was setting. " Everyone, I hate to break the bad news, but we gotta get back home. "
" Just lie down for a bit Evan, we can handle this. " Luz said as he sat down and rejoined hands with Willow and Gus. With the battle now over, the house began to make it's way back to the woods and started to trek back to where it belonged. While it walked away, the head hunter groaned rubbiing his head to sooth the aching pain.
" They're just children, Tom." The green demon mocked what his boss said earlier earning a glare from him.
Back in the night market Eda was still in chains and King had now become Tibbles personal dress up dog with a leash on his leg. " King, I'm sorry. "
" King? Who's King? " He crossed his arms looking away in anger. " I go by Little Bone Boy now. "
" I know I have a problem. I get obsessed with Hexes Hold'em. But I'm done with that stupid game. Look. " She takes on the cards on the ground and eats it despite the taste being awful.
The canine looked at her. " You promise? "
" I promise. " She muffled.
King chuckled at what she did. " Okay, okay. " He managed to get his leg loose. " I'll grab you the elixir and then we can bust out of here. "
" Bone boy! "
" Heh? " Much to his luck Tibbles was right there in front of him.
" You will do no such thing. The emperor's coven is already on its way to send this witch here to the Conformatorium. " He holds up another costume. " And I just rustled up some more clothes for you to try on. "
" Just because I have a model's body doesn't mean you can use me like this. " King said throwing down his hat. As they were locked eye to eye, they weren't paying attention to the ground shaking, along with the sound of loud footsteps.
" I can and I am, bone boy. " Tibbles said in a dark ominous tone. " I've got the cards stacked against you. " Eda felt the footsteps getting closer, while wondering what the heck was coming there way." And nothing can stop me. Nothing! " He declared only for a large bird foot to step onto his stand leaving a large hole making an vial of Elixir roll out.
" Sorry, mister! " Luz appologized waving from one of the windows.
" I'm not! " Evan added as the walking house continued to make it's way through leaving Eda a laughing fool standing back up on her feet. While Tibbles was distracted King seized the chance to go get the elixir.
Eda laughed a bit more before pausing a bit in realization. " Wait, what‐‐ Was that my house? "
" Eda, quick! " She turned over to King who had the elixir and threw over to her. Luckily she was able to catch in her mouth and tilted her head up, gobbling down the contents. She then spat it out making it shatter and dealt with her restraints breaking free from the chains and examined her arm to see the feathers popped off.
" Ha! "
" No, no, no! My scam stand! " The pig demon was not liking the way things were turning out while Eda smirked at him.
" Sorry, Tibbles, old boy. " She picked up a few cards on the ground. " It looks like you forgot about the wild card. " After flicking them into his face, Eda and King began to make there way out while ignoring his ranting.
" Curse you, witch! Curse you, bone boy! I'll have my revenge. Tibblet‐Tibblie Grimm Hammer the third will have his revenge! " He declared and the stand crumbled on top of him.
Meanwhile the group was closing to their destination. So far it had been quiet, which was good thing because they weren't being tracked. But that wasn't the reason why. The group was still trying to process in their minds of what they just saw Evan do to the hunters back at the cliffs.
The young warlock was staring out the window watching the moon, while the trio exchanged a small glance with one another.
" Uh...Evan? " Luz was the one who finally broke the silence.
" Hmm? He turned to face them.
" What did you do back there? "
Evan sighed knowing this was bound to happen sooner or later. " What you all saw back there, is the magic I specialize in. "
" What do you mean by specialize? " Willow was confused.
" Willow, everyone has a certain magic they very well tuned with. For example, your completely in sync with plant magic while Gus specializes with illusions. As for me, my magic is considered 'unnatural' by normal standards. " He held out his right hand and from it the shadows were dancing in his palm. " The magic I specialize in, is Darkness itself. " They were entranced by what they saw.
" Hold on a sec, I thought Darkness was evil? " Gus showed his confusion.
" It all depends on the individual. " Evan lowered his hand making the shadow's disappear. " When it comes to darkness, it's how you use it that counts. But, then again, not everyone agrees. Truth be told, this very magic I have, is what gave me the name, 'Devil Eye'. "
" So that's how you got that name...Evan, I don't understand, I never seen you use it before. Why don't you? "
Evan sighed. " Maybe because, it makes me feel normal. I don't know. But what I do know is that my magic is old. Only a handful of witch's and warlocks have ever used it. " He looked out the window. " Ah, were back. " Much to his relief, after a long night, the Owl House finally returned back into it's empty space filling up the hole it left behind.
Once it did, all the lights came back on. " Did we do it? " Luz asked and right on que the front door opened up.
" Is the room spinning or is it just me? " Hooty chuckled a bit. " Ah. Just a little house humor. Ooh. "
" I think that's our anwser. " Evan commented.
" Yeah, sorry about all that Hooty. " Luz added.
" It's okay. I'm just glad I was included. " The sentry said.
Evan turned over to the others. " Well, guys looks like we did pretty good. But also, thanks, even though we also got killed and turned into the law, this night was pretty fun. Best part about it is Mom won't find out. " The door suddenly slammed shut.
Evan noticed their worried expressions. " And she's right there isn't she? " They all nodded and he turned around to face his angry mother.
" Oh boy... " Luz said nervously.
" You are both busted! " She slowly marched her way over to them.
" Mom I can explain... " Evan raised his hands hoping she could listen.
" Save it mister! " She snapped shutting him up as she got closer to them. " You held a moonlight conjuring."
" We did. " Luz closed her eyes in fear.
" And Evan you helped animate our house. Our house! " As she was going to continue Willow got up in front of them.
" No. Don't punish them. We're the ones who pushed Luz and Evan to do the conjuring. " She said as Gus joined.
" If you're gonna eat me just do it now. " Gus exclaimed for some reason making Eda and Evan exchange a glance in confusion with the boy shrugging his shoulders feeling the same way she did. " Do it now! "
Luz leaned over to her friend. " Hey, you didn't have to do that. "
Willow smiled. " Yes, Luz. I did. For both of you. "
"Well, you're all guilty, so you'll all be punished by cleaning my house top to bottom. " Eda walked past them taking Evan by the hand, while makin a magic circle above the rest of the guests. Then a bunch of cleaning equipment dropped into their arms, Gus got the broom, Luz was given the mop & bucket while Willow got the spray with paper towels.
" And you don't try to hide it. I know you got into a fight. " Eda said frowning at her son already knowing that he had got hurt. He didn't even know how she knew, then again it must've just been her motherly instincts in work. She stopped turning around to face them. "Also one more thing... " The trio all gulped nervous to what she was going to say. " That was totally amazing. " Her demeanor changed back to normal " And I'm so joining you for next year's conjuring. Now get to work. "
While they were doing so, Eda made Evan sit down and began to use her magic to heal him up. " I can't believe they animated a whole house. "
" Yeah. You're right. " Eda agreed and looked over to the trio. " That takes some powerful magic. Evan were you with them? "
" No, I wasn't, I was using the bathroom while they were doing it. " The one eyed warlock replied. " They did it all on there own without my help. " Hearing this greatly intrigued Eda even further.
While mopping Luz spoke up. " You know, I still kinda wish we got to show up Amity. "
" Yeah. Too bad no one will know of our daring adventures. " Willow said.
" Eh, who cares. " Evan spoke up as he continued receiving treatment. " If she does know, good for her. But if she don't then who cares? It was our adventure, one that were defiantly going to remember, that's for sure. "
As they were working everyone smiled at his words, knowing fully well that he was right
We now come to the Blight Manor, currently Amity's friends were all gathered around a small doll that was most likely what they tried to animate. However from the looks of it, they weren't able to succeed at all.
They all stared at it in silence and confusion as Boscha spoke up. "Ugh. So what if we couldn't move a doll. Now we have time for what really matters... " Now normally this sort of part is when someone would say friendship, but this wasn't one of those. " Penstagram! " They all brought out there scrolls and started to either update or check out the latest tweets. Then suddenly Boscha gasped in shock, this drew Amity's attention who was sitting near the edge of her window. Going over to Boscha she watched as her friend scrolled through the latest tweets or in this case Pen's from last night. First was a post from Little Nose showing off the walking Owl House reading:
" Oh my gosh have you seen this? "
Next we see a picture of the eyeball creature doing a selfie of him with the house with a text reading: " #WalkingHouse. " Another photo shows a goblin taking a pic getting much closer to the house itself, a text read: "#AmIDreaming?" Before long Boscha scrolls down to one last photo reading: " Who are they!? "
Amity and Boscha already knew who they were and glanced over to one another in shock. " WHAT!? " There voices were heard from outside scaring the crows as they were cawing away.
To be continued
Yeah, sorry about the wait to update this thing, I had a few problems. There was a glitch on the site that kept getting in my way. Really freakening annoying that thing was.
And no, I don't think it was a bit much with what Evan did to that guy. Besides, he was an asshole and deserved it. In Bart's drunk voice. "There! I said it!" And on the topic of Evan's magic, particularly the type he's most accustomed to, that's where he earned his name, but there's more to the story itself.
You'll all find out later on.
Also, you all expect the next chapter to be Lost in Language right? Well let's just say I'll be doing something a bit interesting to say the least.
Now for those about to review to urge me to update Chris & Kipo In The Age of Wonderbeasts that's on my next agenda to update. So for now be patient. If not then, oh well. You either wait like the rest of us, or don't, your call.
Also, that reminds me a lot of you have been itching to ask me, could I possibly hint what I will be making after Chris and Kipo in The Age of Wonderbeasts?
Honestly I'm cut in between two choices,
A warrior in the making aiding others not from earth?
Or, a forever smiling octopus, and a hero who came from the very stars themselves? Those are my hints. If you can guess them, good for you. if you don't then use your knowledge.
Now replying back to reviewers

Clawthourne. And yes, it will play a role in the times ahead.

Oh don't worry I have already have something in mind for Amity. But I defiantly understand where your going with that. And I hope you like this chapter as well. (Also, no sweat if you only know Spanish, I got google translator to help give you an anwser like everyone else. It's okay.:)
Crow38
Why not? I mean something had to put it in that state right? And I'm glad to see people are liking the idea.
Natalie Jarrett
You'll find out more later on.
OMAC001
I'm glad someone saw another thing about the chapter.

Color me surprised by how many people still know of it.

Welp, your right on both of those things.

Thank you.

You see there's certain types of magic that most witch's and warlocks at Evan's age don't know. Heck some of the magic he knows is usually casted by professionals that's what make's them advanced.
SonoftheDragon
Eh, at least some know of a hardcore classic.

I literally have no idea what w is supposed to even mean.
Fan de Katakuri
No, I'm fine, just dealing with life drama, avoiding getting sick while at work around a bunch of people, etc. Half the time I'm either tired, something else comes up or the site has a small bug like it did the previous days before.
King of 2211 chapter 1 & 6
That's actually a very tempting idea. And yes, it is a reference to a video game, pokemon mystery dunegeon explorer's of sky, The Secret Waterfall. I thought so to, and I mean come on, everybody's afraid of somethin, and yes, Evan's name is pronounced like normal as for the nickname his mom has for him.
Symbiote
Yeah, I am also confused. And yes, there will be.
Guest #2 Chapter 3
I'm glad.
Judemental Pig chapter 1
Eh, it's your choice, but I do assure you, not everything will stay the same, there will be some changes.
Devinsands.
Oh yeah, and I'll be sure to try and do 'what we talked about'. But I'm sure there'll be some more original chapters as well. And I'm happy to see that the cover Legomany/robotkid2001 had made. The chapter I figured why not, and figured why not, and help expands Evan's character, as for the cover art, that too. And because why not? Everyone else has cover's for their own stories, and so I wondered, how would mine look? But again major thanks to Legomanny.
Matthew5641
Well at least some people can relate to him, and I know what the fear is like because my older brother is afraid of them, and I do have so much fun messing with him about it.

Uh, I'm a bit confused on what your suggesting there.
Guest #4 Chapter 1. Eh, I feel ya but hey, everyone's a bit of a softy once you get to know them, depending on how that person is.4
