Yeah, as you can all clearly see this chapter has to do with the events of the one episode I seem to dislike most. So, instead of skipping it, I've decided to things a little bit different cause why not? Also, don't expect a whole lot of action, there going to be mostly interaction between character's to deepen their bonds.

Not to mention, give this story some more plot entirely.

But no less, I hope you all like this chapter.

Chapter 10

Twice Upon A Bodyswap

Right now it was normal day at on the Boiling Isles and right now, the gang had the human collectibles stand all prepped and ready. The only problem was, not very many people were out and about, which meant the entire day was most likely gonna be slow.

We see King on the table, trying to jump up and reach one of the flags that was hanging over him. But do to his size, he wasn't very successful and eventually he fell off to the side.

" Stupid flag! " The demon cried out as Luz came up carrying a wooden ladder and a wooden sign. " Been a little slow around here. But I've got just the thing to attract customers. " After strapping the sign on there she taped on a few light glyph's that she carved onto it making them light up.

" And who doesn't like their name in lights? " Pretty soon the sign of the stand gained a much more flashier look reading: EDa the Owl Ladys Human Collectibles and somehow she even made a small neon face of Eda herself smiling and winking. " Is it too subtle? " Luz asked as she got down to examine her work.

" Does subtle mean ugly? " A familiar voice asked making Luz turn around to see a certain three eyed witch with two of her goons. Instead of being smart Luz greeted them like normal. " Hi Boscha! Hexidians! See anything you like? "

" Ew! No. I'm just here to take an ironic Penstagram next to your weird flashing trash sign. " She made her scroll emerge and took some photo's and Luz was annoyed with her antics. " It's not funny Boscha. "

" What are you going to do? Spit your human venom on me? " She asked tauntingly. " You have venom? " King asked excitedly. " Quick, Luz, start melting faces! "

She knelt down next to him. " Even if I could, it's not worth it. You wouldn't understand how to handle teens like her. " In response to hearing this King grabbed her by the hoody pulling Luz -into his face. " No, I'll show you what to do! "

He jumped onto the table trying to look intimidating. " You will tremble before me! " He declared but instead of getting fear he got the complete opposite.

" Oh, he's so cute! " Boscha grabbed hold of him and took another Penstegram photo of herself with the small demon.

" How much? I have to own him? " Boscha inquired as King kicked her in the face and landed back onto the table. " You couldn't afford me, sister. " The canine said waving a claw, but they still found his actions to be adorable. " That's the incorrect reaction! "

Inside the tent Eda's nose poked out sniffing the air. " I smell an easy mark. " The Owl Lady said eagerly before rushing out jumping over the table. " Hey, kid! Can I offer you the latest fashions from... " With a spell circle made and in a puff of smoke she was now earing a whole bunch of random clothes all mashed together. " The human realm? "

" Yeah, no. " Boscha replied back while her goons laughed as they walked away. " Well, I hate her. " Eda said bluntly as her clothes disappeared returning to normal and right on que Evan emerged from the tent. " No offense mom, but that whole outfit made no sense at all. "

" Yeah, teens can be sour, but I'm a little sweetie. " Luz said as he King. " Look what I made you! " She pointed up to the sign and Eda freaked out by what she was seeing.

" Luz! " Hopping onto the table she went to try and pry it off. " Did I spell something wrong? Or did I spell something right? " She punned as her teacher pulled it off. " Stop that. "

She whipped off the light orbs on the sign. " You maybe forgetting something, Luz...were kinda...on the run! " Eda put the sign down and pulled out her and Evans wanted posters. " Remember? "

" Look, it's a nice idea, but moms right. Hanging something like that out would attract a whole bunch of mosquito's and by mosquito's I mean guards. " Evan commented as Eda rolled up the posters and stuffed them into her hair. " See even Evan gets it. " She said proudly caressed his head proudly seeing her spawn had some smarts in him.

" Well, I don't see anyone right now. " Luz said putting King on the table." Maybe your both being just paranoid. Plus, Evan, your a powerful warlock and your mother's a powerful witch. Why hide when you can 'poof' all your problems away with magic? " Luz questioned as Evan gave him a flat look.

" Okay, two things. " Evan raised a finger for each one. " One no it doesn't. Two, no it doesn't! " The one eyed warlock said trying to make a point while King took the stand.

" What does Luz know about problems anyway? All she has is dumb teen drama. She doesn't understand how hard some of us have it. "

" You're pampered all day like a damn baby. " Eda said sarcastically. " How hard is that life? "

" Well, I don't know if you realized, but I'm not a baby! " The small canine screamed out. " So your a midget then. " Evan said in an amused tone seizing the chance with a smirk.

" Shut up Evan! " The canine said. " My life is a living nightmare! "

" Well, there's one thing to do when friend can't see eye to eye. " Eda said rubbing her hands together devising a plan.

" Hug each other till we pass out? " Luz questioned brining King close to her. " Fight to the death!? "

" Talk it like normal people? " Evan asked before his mother anwsered. " Pff, no. Body swap! "

" No! " Evan immediately put his hands up objecting to the whole. " No-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no! No! What the hell's wrong with you mom? " Upon saying that she lightly smacked him behind the head.

" First off, don't talk to me like that. And come Evan, it's not gonna be that bad. "

Upon hearing what she said he gave her a flat look. " That's always what they say at the start before going down in disaster. Which is something I'm not gonna be part of. " Evan slung a bag over his shoulder.

" Where are you going? We got a stand to run. "

" Oh I'm sorry, but when was the last time you made a run for supplies? " Evan questioned and as she was about to reply, Eda stopped upon realizing he was right. " Okay, fair point. Since your going. " Eda made a spell circle causing a small list to appear in Evan's hands. " We'll need everything that's on that list. "

" Alrighty then... " Evan put the list into his pocket. " Can you please promise me that while I'm gone your gonna do something stupid? "

" Evan when I was last time I did something stupid? " Eda questioned her son sounding offended while her offspring gave her a flat look. " Yesterday, the day before, the day after before, the day before that, and most of last week? "

The one eyed warlock said before he finally walked off. " Hahaha! You got owned by your son! " King laughed and in reponse King made a spell circle shooting a pie right at the canine knocking him off the table.

" It was delicious and worth it! " King cried out.

" One Hour Later... "

After a bit more of walking Evan had arrived over at the next town over known as Snotlot. Where and how it got it's incredibly stupid name is pretty anyone's guess, either the founder was wasted, or just a plain idiot with a big heart.

But despite that, it was a rather small place compared to Bones Burrough, but there was one thing that made this place stick out, the people always seemed to get along nicely with one another and it had a very large open market. Plus, there was also another fact about the town itself, most of the residents were considered 'criminals' by the Emperor himself. Evan was actually a normal visitor and everybody seemed to know him.

" Hi Evan! "

" How you doin'!? " He greeted backed.

" Hey Ev! " A tall ogre called over from over from a butcher shop. " I just got some fresh stock in today! Wanna look!? "

" Maybe later! " the one eyed warlock replied before getting greeted instantly by a small goblin. " Well hey there Evan, it's been a while. "

" I know, right? " He replied back as he examined his list. " I got that, this and that, yep mostly everything. All that's left is moms Apple Blood...Better find it, there's only one brand she likes... " Looking carefully all over he spotted his objective at a stand right in front of him. " Ah, there it is. " As Evan was about to reach for it a large troll snagged it from him instantly.

" Hey, I was just about grab that! "

" Sorry kid you snooze you loose. " The troll said in a very flat, rude, nuteral tone not caring one bit walking away.

" Uh-huh... " Evan said sounding not amussed by what he said before smiling. " Say, did you ever hear the joke about what the five fingers said to the face? "

" Huh? " The troll looked back at him in confusion before Evan punched him square into the face knocking him down onto the ground, while still bearing that same smile.

" Ooh, don't mind if I do. " Evan said taking back what was taken from him. " If you wanna hear another joke, then just call me up. "

" Yeah, you tell him. " A somewhat familiar voice said making Evan turn around to see a girl that looked very familiar to him. " Do I know you? " Evan asked tilting his head in confusion.

" Remember at the Conformatorium? I wrote fanfics about food? "

Widening his eye in realization he smacked it into his open palm. " Oh yeah, now I remember, your fanfic girl, It's been a while, but I never got your name either. "

" Well I know who are Evan Clawthorne, but I never did give you mine. " She stuck her hand out for a shake. " I'm Katya. You look like your doing good. "

" Right back at ya. "

" So you doing a little shopping? " The one eyed warlocked hummed in reply and raised an eyebrow as she looked around. " What are you looking for? "

" That human girl you were with, where's she at? "

" Oh you mean Luz? She's back working at my mom's stand. "

" Your talking about the one that sells human murchandise right? I'm a big fan of your mom by the way. Respect. "

" Really? " Evan was surprised to hear about this. " Well, her day would probably be made with you saying that. So how've you been? You know since the you know what? "

" The Conformitorium? It could've been a bit better. Since I did get out, my parents were glad to see me again. But we had to move here to make things work out. "

" Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. "

" No worries, it's all good. " She replied waving a hand back at him. " You did both did me a favor busting me out. I'm able to write my fanfics in peace, my parents are even trying to get me enrolled in school to. And, I'm gonna start working here pretty soon. "

" Neat, where at? "

" Right around here actually, the stand isn't up yet, but it will be pretty soon. Stop by there sometimes, I can hook you up with fresh arrivals. "

" That'd be great. "

" Well I better get going, my parents will start to worry about me. When you see Luz, tell her I said hi, and it was nice to seeing you again. "

" Yeah it was nice to see you too! " Evan waved back as he continued his shopping before spotting a mattress stand on his right. Upon seeing this he instantly gained an idea.

After the long trek Evan had arrived back to Bonesburrow all while maintaining control over the floating mattress behind him. " Well, that's everything on my list, better

" Huh. No one's here. Maybe they left shop? " Evan questioned before shrugging his shoulders and used his magic to gather all the stuff that the stand had as he hummed in thought. " But then again, knowing them they probably did the body swap anyways. Now question is where to find them? "

Evan got his anwser this he heard a loud whoosh drawing his attention with a large orange energy pillar being seen. " Ah, there they are. " As he made his way over, another pillar of energy was seen and then he heard barking and Lilith?

" Eda, you rotten sister! Switch me back! Ah! Woof! " Yep that was defiantly her voice and as Evan arrived he was having a hard time absorbing what he was seeing.

" What's happening? Who the heck are you? " An old lady asked her partner who had the voice of a man. " I'm a Coven Guard wise mouth! "

" No your not! I am! " The lady replied before a teen who most likely was the old lady herself tackler him. " You get out of my body, you galoot! Afterwards more chaos erupted as he walked over to his mother and friends while passing by the old lady from earlier getting chased.

" Are they gonna be okay? " King asked Eda who only shrugged her shoulders. " So looks like you did it anyways huh? " Evan asked grabbing their attention getting a nervous chuckle from Luz who smiled just as nervously.

" Yeah, pretty much. " Eda replied. " But now were never gonna speak about this again. " As they were getting on the witch's staff a voice called out to

" Evan! " He turned to see a four mouth dog with no eyes. " Your not gonna leave your aunt in a dogs body are you!? "

Evan paused before responding. " Yes I am. " He replied making Eda laugh as they took off leaving the town behind them, much Lilith's dismay. But what she didn't realize that a small glass bottle came rolling to her. The paper on the bottle had a little drawing of a face giving a Rasberry.

While on the way home flying through the trees on the staff Eda looked over at the mattress.

" So what's with the mattress? " The witch asked.

" Eh, that's for Luz. I Figured it would beat using that sleeping bag. " Upon hearing this she hugged him. " Aww...Evan thank you so much. "

" Your welcome... " The warlock said lightly blushing a bit. " Okay, so why in titans name did you guys swap bodies!? "

" We made a bet, whoever could prove had the easiest life gets out of house cleaning duty. " Eda anwserd. " I got King's body, Luz got my body and King got Luz's. But then everything went down hill so fast... "

" How so? " Evan was clearly going to enjoy the stories he was about to be told.

" It all started out fine for me, I was enjoying the attention I was getting until two old ladies picked me up and that whole thing was a disaster. "

" How about you King? "

" I was enjoying the feeling of being tall and commanding teenagers, until I took a rat race and nearly died. " The canine anwsered as Evan moved onto Luz.

" I learned that walking in heels is hard, magic doesn't solve all of our problems, acidentally got arrested, blew up the police station and got chased by Lilith. "

" Okay, so it's agreed, 'mom' that we never do that again? "

" Yes. " They all replied back before Luz asked. " So wait, who is going to clean Hooty? It's getting...dire...Maybe if we all work together we could... "

" Not it. " King and Eda said at the same time much to Luz's dismay. " Aw man. "

" Eh, don't worry about it. " Evan said before they finally reached the Owl House was utterly, a huge mess. It was covered in mud and there were big piles everywhere with the house guardian all covered in god knows what.

" Hey guys hope your ready to clean me~! Hoot hoot! " The house guardian said much to everyone's disgust while Evan gave him a flat look. " I got all sorts of hard to reach spots that need a good scrub! "

" Let's just get this over with... " Luz said in a tone showing she wasn't going to enjoy this one bit. As she was gonna go grab the supplies needed Evan stopped her.

" Watch and learn. " He proceeded to make a spell circle. " Hey what are you... " The guardian was then frozen in place and with some movements of his fingers, Evan made him stretch out until every single bit of his long body that was dirty stuck out. Once that was done he made two more spell circles, one to dry up the mud and second splashing the whole entire house and Hooty in water before making one last circle drying him off.

With a proud smirk Evan dusted off his hands. " And that's how you easily clean something very disgusting on the boiling isles. " He said before they all went inside with Evan making one last spell circle to and snapped his fingers unfreezing Hooty.

" Doing? " He looked to see he and the house itself was cleaned. " Hey! No fair! I wanted to watch you all struggle cleaning me! "

Hours went by as the sun went down, Evan was inside of his room, using his magic to cook up a bag of popcorn. Now all he had to do was pick a move to watch.

" Hmm... " Making a spell circle he made a few dvd's float to him. " What to watch? What to watch? " With a groan he made them float back into the shelves. " Maybe I should try to find some new ones when I get the chance... " He then made his way over to the window and looked outside enjoying the nice breeze he was feeling.

While doing so a knock was heard on his door. " Come in. " Evan replied turning over to see it was his other roommate. " Hey, Luz how you liking the mattress? "

" It's really nice actually... " Luz said as she joined him gazing out of the window as well. " Evan, you know you didn't have to get that for me. "

" I know, I wanted to though. But I had to make sure, it was real, didn't have anything living inside, it wouldn't eat you nor try to posses your body. " She gave him a worried expression upon hearing this. " Relax, it's normal, it not gonna do any of those things. "

" Well, that's a relief... " She said now turning her attention to the moon. " Nice night. "

" Beautiful... " Evan agreed " Nice and calm, with the moon out and everything. " Luz hummed in agreement.

" Evan? Can I ask you something? "

" Sure. "

" When I was in an interrogation room, Lilith thought I was Eda and she said something about how she wanted to join the Emperor's Coven? "

He looked over to her. " What about it? "

" Is is true? Did she really want to? " Luz questioned. " I mean, Eda always talks about how important your indiviudality is, and she also... "

" Isn't afraid to be herself? " Evan questioned. " Even if it's dangerous and unlawful? "

" Yeah. "

Evan slumped his right hand up putting it underneath his chin. " At one point she did, growing up with Lilith, they wanted to be in the same Coven. But, I don't know the whole story though. You'd have to ask her, and I still haven't either. "

" Why not? "

" I can tell its real personal for mom, I understand. But hopefully, she'll open up a little...Maybe then I could find someway to help her out with her curse... "

" Evan you know Eda just wants you to be fine and not worry about her... "

" I know...But, wouldn't you do the same thing for your mom? "

" Oh defiantly, in a heartbeat. " Luz replied instantly nodding her head before smiling. " So what do you want to do? "

" Wanna help me pick a movie to watch for tonight? "

" Do you have popcorn ready for it? " Luz asked with Evan grinning in reply holding up a bag of the said snack.

Elsewhere a few miles outside of Bonesburrow, there laid an old cabin in the woods.

inside someone lit up a fire underneath a cauldron, the figure proceeded to add in a few more spell circles, letting them sink into whatever liquid was inside.

Soon enough, smoke came out of the cauldron forming into a skull that laughed evilly.

The next morning had now arrived and we hear Evan stirring awake, upon hearing the sound of an alarm clock. " Hmmm...What? " Reaching out where ever his hand found the source of the noise and silenced it.

" Since when do I have an alarm clock? " Evan asked out loud as he slowly rose up smacking his lips before yawning. However once his senses were coming back, he noticed something was off, as he looked around his surroundings in confusion.

" Why am I in Luz's room? " He asked still trying to absorb what was happening and began to ask himself questions. " I didn't sleep walk in here did I? Wait, wait. Please don't let this be on those! " He turned over to the other side of the mattress and sighed in content upon seeing it was empty. " Oh thank titan. Wha? " He paused noticing something was off with his hands. " Wait, these aren't mine. " He stood up and felt his hair. " This ain't mine. " The warlock noticed something as he looked down. " Those aren't mine. " before reluctantly reaching behind to feel his rear end. " That's defiantly not mine! "

Rushing over to the nearest mirror his fears were now confirmed. He was inside Luz's body. " Oh real funny mom! Real frickin' funny! " He marched out of the room to confront Eda rushing to her room but found her nest to be empty.

" Oh hell no... " Rushing down the stairs he rushed down into the kitchen and found nobody but a single note hanging on the fridge reading.

" Evan, out early to pick up some stuff, took King with me. Love you Evy~ "

The warlock rubbed his temples. " Ugh...I better wake up Luz... " Mustering up whatever dignity he had left he made his way to into his room see Luz who was most likely in his body still asleep. " Luz, Luz wake up... " He gently shook her awake.

She in turned started to wake up. " Huh? Evan? Is that you? "

" Luz, please get up we have a...Situation. "

Upon hearing this she sprung up awake. " Uh-oh! What is...it? " As Luz got up she raised an eyebrow in confusion at what she was seeing. " Hmm? Wait, how come I'm right there? "

" Take a look for yourself. " Her body replied in Evan's voice as he brought out a small mirror. Upon seeing that Luz was in Evan's shirtless body she screamed in surprise quickly finding something to cover herself with.

" Why am I in your body!? "

" Hell if I know! I was my body last night! " Evan replied back as Luz continued to cover herself. " Did Eda swap our bodies while we were sleeping!? "

" She must've! How else could this have happened!? "

" Well don't you know how to swap bodies? " Evan chuckled nervously at that response rubbing the back of his head. " No.. "

" What!? "

" Oh come on Luz, I might a be a powerful warlock, but that doesn't mean I know all sorts of spells! I'm limited to what I know! "

" Well couldn't you try? "

" The last time I did, I ended up in Mr Chewy. And I don't want you to be stuck in anything your not supposed to be in. "

" Okay, okay. " Luz started to calm herself down a bit. " Is Eda even here? "

" No..."

" When will she back? "

" I don't know. " Evan quickly replied. " Well could you at least give me a shirt. "

" Why are you even bothered by that? " Evan asked raising an eyebrow in confusion with a smirk. " You weren't shy with that fake prince Nevareth gave you a cape from his shirt? "

She blushed realizing the point he made. " J-Just give me one okay! "

" Alright, alright, geez. Here you go. " He picked up his usual black and white shirt from the floor and threw it over to her.

Then out of nowhere she started blushing only this time out of embarresemnt. " Uh...yeah...We have another problem... "

" What's that? "

" I...have to go the bathroom... "

" Oh no... " Evan groaned putting his hand into his face.

Minutes later after 'other things' and vowing never to speak about them again, Evan was now dressed as was Luz they were sitting in the living room waiting for the Owl Lady to return home.

" I can't believe this happening again... " Luz said.

" I can't believe the first moment I woke up that I found myself in someone else's body. A teenage girls body no less. " Evan made his comment.

She turned over to him and gave him a firm look. " Just so were clear, don't try any funny on my body Evan, even if you are my friend. "

The warlock gave her a flat look in response. " Right back at you. I'm not at thrilled about this either... " They returned their attention to the door and for a minute things got quiet again, aside from the sound of Hooty's snoring.

" You know, while were on the subject, Evan, I didn't notice it, but your actually pretty fit. "

" What? " Evan shot her a look of confusion. " I thought you were mostly skinny like I was. " She lifted up her shirt to examine it. " But, boy was I wrong. So what about my body? "

" What? " The warlock wanted to her to repeat what was just said. " What do you think of my body? "

" Why are we even getting this right now? " Evan asked looking away with a light blush on his cheeks. " Come on just give me a response. It's easy, be honest. "

" Easy for you to say, I can't help it. This is just to weird for me, okay. "

" Well I want to hear what you have to say come on...I won't judge. "

He glanced over to her. " You serious right now? "

" Yeah. I won't judge you. I promise. "

" Well...I guess for starters your chest is well...You get the idea... " Evan said. " But honestly, I think out of everything...I guess I like your eyes? " He said with a shrug taking her by surprise.

" My eyes? Why? "

" I don't know, just do. "

Luz chuckled a bit at that response. " Well, that's a first for me...Speaking of eyes...I'm still getting used to only seeing out of one eye. " Luz said feeling where the eyepatch was lifting it up for a second. " I put on fake eyepatches all the time. But this time, it's real. "

" I know it might seem strange to others, but after a while you just get used to it. " Evan said chuckling lightly.

" So how's it feel to have two good eyes? "

" Big difference. " Evan replied holding out his borrowed hands out. " But it's what to expect, I was always used to my vision mostly visible from my right side... While were talking, I have to ask, what's wrong with you? "

" Huh? What's wrong with me? "

" Luz, I'm like starving right now... " Evan replied with a pained expression rubbing his stomach. " Don't you ever eat? "

" I do. "

" That's not what your stomach's telling me... " Evan said as he gave her a questioning looking pointing a finger. " Wait, are you like one of those women who starve themselves to loose weight and look good? "

" No I'm not! " She replied with a blush on her cheeks.

" Could've fooled me with what your stomach's telling me... " Evan said rolling his eyes before another question dawned on him. " By the way, I've been meaning to ask, what was it like being moms body? Able to do actual magic? "

" It was cool, but Eda had a lot of power to her... " She gasped upon gaining an idea. " Maybe I can have better luck with your body! " Slowly she made a spell circle but upon doing so she went flying across the room had not Evan ran up and caught her.

He looked down at her from the way he held her a smirk plasted on his face. " Did that satisfy your curiosity? "

" Yeah, I'm good. You and Eda's magic I can't handle. " She said just as the door opened with King coming in and looked to the two. " Wh~oa! Eda I think I caught them! "

" Caught them doing what!? "

" Nothing! " They both blushed quickly seperating from each other before glaring daggers at the witch who raised an eyebrow in confusion.

" Why are you both giving me those looks for? "

" How about you tell us? " Evan asked his voice coming from Luz's body much to Eda's surprise as her student's voice came from her son. She groaned rubbing her temples in annoyance. " Not again... "

" Eda! Why'd you switch our bodies while we were sleeping!? "

" What!? I didn't do it! " Eda replied back to her student. " After yesterday's fiasco I was done using the body swapping spell... " She paused for a minute in thought. " But then again, maybe I just don't remember it. "

" Well change us back! " Evan demanded.

" Alright, alright, give me a second. " Eda spun around her staff and blasted them with her magic. As the light died down Evan sighed in relief.

" Oh man I'm glad this is... " He locked eyes with his own body. " Over... Mom...What's going on? "

" Huh? That's weird. " She did it once more. " How about now? "

Luz touched her eyepatch before touching the face of her body. " Nope still here. "

Growing irritated Eda put a lot more power into the body swapping spell this time. After it was done, Evan reluctantly reached his chest and felt something he probably should not have touched. " Okay, this is not working, mom there's something wrong! "

" Eda! Why isn't this working like yesterday!? "

" I don't know! This never happened before! " The Owl Lady replied back still baffled by what was going on before doing it again. " Yeah, something's wrong here. " Making a spell circle a book appeared in her hands flipping through the pages she found what she was looking for.

" Ah, here it is the Body Swapping Spell..." She silently read through the texting. " Uh-huh...uh-huh... Her eyes widened in fear. " Oh no...Oh no...That's not good. "

" Well? What is it? " King asked as she sent the book away. " The reason why the body swapping spell isn't working is because this was done differently. "

" Differently? " Evan and Luz exchanged a look of confusion. " What do you mean by that? "

" Someone cursed you both. "

" Cursed!? " Luz wasn't liking where this was going. " Does that mean were going to turn into monsters like Eda!? "

" Okay, that one part hurt. But I'll let it slide this time. " Eda said giving Luz a glare before getting serious. " But no, this curse isn't like mine. You've both been hit with a body swapping curse. Normal magic can't do anything, only the castor who did it can break it. "

" Well who did it? "

" Hmm...Well, Luz did have a lot happen yesterday, and so did you Evan in your own way, probably. Hang on a minute... " Grabbing a small jar she poured some of the contents of the door. With Owlbert flying over to her, they got ready to fly. Once in position, Eda made a spell circle and upon doing so an orange stream of energy

" Alright now we have to follow this before the trail goes cold " Eda said before they took off leaving King and Hooty alone. " So you wanna play 20 questions? Hoot. " King only sighed in defeat.

" Eh, I got nothing else better to do. " He replied back.

With the trio they proceeded to fly through the woods trailing the energy that would lead them to their

" Eda you sure about this? "

" Yeah, this should lead us to the castor...As for it completlely working, Eh...50/50. "

" Seriously!? " Evan exclaimed not happy with his mother's awner. " Cut me some slack! This is the first time I've ever done this! "

" Wait, if your able to do this, then why can't you do the same to the one that cursed you? " Luz questioned bringing up a good point making Eda sigh. " Look, there's a lot of different curses just like there is magic, from what I've read, my curse is much older unlike the others that different witch's and warlocks use. Phil had done his best to try and break it, but it's much harder then it you realize after at least over dozens of failed attempts. "

" Hey over there! " Evan pointed forward as the energy trail stopped at the same old cabin where the castor lived. " Alright, you both stay out here. "

" What are you gonna do? " Luz asked as Eda gave her a serious look. " I'm gonna have a 'chat' with the low life responsible for this. " She said before marching over to the door. " Nobody messes with my boy and gets away with it. " Upon saying those words while entered the cabin she cracked her knuckles and closed the door behind her.

" So is she gonna be okay by herself? " Luz asked glancing over to Evan.

" I think so..." As they began to talk the cabin erupted in a massive explosion and Eda was seen fighting against the curse castor.

" Yep, she'll defiantly be fine. But, let's give them some room. " Following Evan, they got into a small clearing to avoid the fighting and sat down to gaze up at the sky with the sounds of fighting being heard clear as day.

" Whoa, I almost feel sorry for that chump..." Evan commented bitterly. " Does your mom have her moments like that? "

" Sometimes, but she's mostly nice to everyone... " Luz replied as they gazed up at the sky. " Hey Evan? "

" Hmm? " He looked over at her while fire erupted in the background being thrown back and fourth.

" Do you think I'm making progress? "

" Yeah. "

" Truthfully, or are you saying what you want me to hear? " She asked firmly. " No, I mean it. You are making progress, it's slow, but it's better then zero. Something on your mind? "

" Evan, look I appreciate what you and Eda have been doing for me, but... " Tracing a finger in the dirt she drew the light glyph before tapping it making the orb float up. " I've only managed to lean one spell and that's it. "

" Understandable you want to learn, and that's good. But don't forget, your using probably a much older form of magic, and since you can't cast spells on your own without those glyph's your options are very limited. " As Evan said this he ducked Luz's head down avoiding an icicle.

" I know, I know. But say if the ban was lifted at Hexside, would you ever consider going? "

" No, not really. " Evan replied as Eda crashed into the ground right behind them before going back into the fight. " Why? "

" Luz, I've already come to terms that I won't have a normal life like others my age. And it wouldn't feel right to do it...,,Considering with how much I got on my plate... " In the background Eda was furiously blasting fireballs at her opponent. As for Luz she kind of already figured out what he meant by that. There were other things going on, things he wanted to do. Help his mother, and somewhere along the way find out what happened to his dad. He was more concerned with his own parents then anything else.

" Don't you ever feel left out though? "

" With what? " The one eyed warlock asked as Eda was seen dodging a series of rocks in the background with Evan casually ducking down to avoid one.

" You know being normal, and having friends? " She paused for a moment in realization as more explosions erupted in the background. " Then again, nothing's normal here anyways. "

" Darn straight nothings normal here. The friend part though, sometimes... " Evan admitted with a hint of truth. " But it's...not really, been easy. You've seen how it is here, and you know what it's like being an outcast among everyone else. "

" I do... " Luz admitted sadly as Eda continued fighting in the background. " Even so, that doesn't stop me from wanting to change just because people don't understand me. "

" Sometimes it's not always that simple as we think is... " Evan commented. " You do make a point though. Even though I'm not to keen about even thinking of going to Hexside. I already know a lot of magic that'd take years to learn. If I did, then I'd only stand out, and I'm not supposed to. "

" Well, I'm sure it'll work out if it'll ever happen. " Luz said as they both ducked down to avoid a bunch of lightning. After regaining their hearing they continued to talk. " You know Evan, we should invite Willow and Gus over to the house sometimes, maybe start a movie club. We could even include Amity and Wilhelm. "

" Willow and Gus I can picture, as for Wilhelm and Amity...eh... " Evan motioned his hand a little bit. " How come? Well, for one just because Amity''s warmed up to us, it doesn't mean she'll warm up to excluding Wilhelm. Wilhelm on the other hand, he's not very social, he's smart. He prefers to keep his distance and not draw to much attention to himself. Plus he loves animals more then his own kind at certain that I blame him. "

" Okay, point made, we'll just focus on two friends for now. " Luz agreed as another explosion was made in the background behind them with Eda seen dodging a relentless barrage of fireballs. " Hey, can we go on another adventure sometimes? "

" Sure, I'll see what I have, and make sure it's fun for both of us. "

" Thanks Evan. "

" No problem. " As they said this all the sudden they felt strange as two mists oozed out of their bodies for a brief second before disappearing. " Yes! I'm me! "

" Me too! "

" Well you can both thank me when we get home. " They both turned to Eda who clearly had signs showing she'd been through one heck a fight. Her hair was a mess and her clothes had a few tears.

" So who was it? "

" This guy... " Eda said motioning to the same troll who Evan had a tussle with yesterday. " Of course..."

" What did you do to him? " Luz asked.

" He snagged the apple blood I had out of my hand and acted like it was nothing. " Evan explained his side of the story. " Yeah and then you knocked me unconscious! " The troll snapped back glaring at the one eyed warlock. " Thanks to you my date night was ruined! "

" Eh, I can live with that. " Evan said not bothered by what he said before he knocked him out again as they got onto the staff leaving him be.

" Anyone thinks they can curse my son and get it away with it? " Eda chuckled threateningly as they flew off. " Think again... "

" I've never seen Eda like this... " Luz whispered before Evan replied back. " You think this is bad, you should've seen her when a giant tried to stomp on me. That was one rocky afternoon. "

" So were in agreement that we never the body swapping spell again? "

" Agreed! "

Hours had now passed and after a long day, especially making sure that Evan and Luz returned back into their original bodies, the group celebrated their success until the sun went down.

By now everyone was fast asleep, or almost everyone in the Owl House.

Inside of the tower, Eda was brewing up her own small little cauldron. While doing so the Owl Lady appeared to be very troubled about something. But despite this she braved through it putting in each ingredient that was required before taking out the last item needed.

It was whatever Morton had given Eda days ago when she needed to restock on Elixir, the same night when her son and apprentice brought her house to life with their friends during the Moonlight Conjuring. Unwrapping it slowly it was revealed to be a container filled with an ominous black liquid that glowed slightly purple.

Taking off the cork, she poured the liquid into the cauldron. Upon doing so, the green inside became the same color. With her concoction finished, she proceeded to extract the contents of the cauldron with her magic.

Watching the cauldrons contents float into three different vials. After putting a cork in each of them. Eda grabbed one of the vials.

Staring at it, she sighed sadly not going to enjoy what had to be done

Inside of Evan's room he was fast asleep and snoring away, unaware that his door was opened with a hesitant Owl Lady staring at her child with a look of shame.

Making a spell circle, the young warlock was induced in a very deep slumber. Once it was done, Eda gently opened up his mouth before slowly pouring the contents of the vial into his mouth while making sure it didn't over flood and helped make sure he'd swallow it. After the vial was empty she lifted her spell, flinching slightly to see her son twitching a bit and rolled over.

Sighing quietly in relief, Eda pulled up Evan's blanket tucking him in before gently caressing his forehead while smiling. Eda remembered the days when he was an infant keeping her and her husband Phil awake for countless nights, despite the lack of sleep. She actually enjoyed those moments making sure her child was able to sleep well to let him know he was safe.

But now, now things were different, what she had to do, was something that sickened her stomach, making her heart ache with guilt. However, she knew that this had to be done, for his sake.

As she was on the verge of tears, Eda gently kissed the side of his head, before leaving the room about to close the door. With a crack open she looked inside, and had a look that said something, without the actual words needing to be said. 'I'm sorry.'

The door had now closed.

Well, this chapter ain't exactly special, but hey, I made it to be like this, and I'm fine with it. Hope, some of you are fine with it though. With some bits of Amphibia used for it.
