~"Ouch, that's gotta hurt! Class 1-A's Ojiro is showing no mercy to Sato, even if they are classmates!"~

Mikumo stood in the tunnel, watching the fight from ground level.

Ojiro spun, using his tail to sweep Sato's legs, before moving to kick him. Sato rolled out of the way, inelegantly clambering to his feet in time to block a tail whip with his arm.

Mikumo frowned, he could see the aggression in Ojiro's body language, a far cry from the blank, glazed over look on his face.

Even though Mikumo hadn't interacted all that much with Ojiro, he knew what Toru had said of him.

However, above all else, Mikumo recognised the expression on Ojiro's face. It was the same one that had been on Izuku's face a second before he jumped into the pit on the first obstacle.

And both times it came back to the same person, the purple-haired GenEd student, Ojiro's teammate.

~"That's brutal, Sato is out of bounds!"~

Mikumo's eyes flicked back to the end of the entrance tunnel in time to see Sato hit the ground, clearing the white boundary line.

He then moved his attention across to rest on the GenEd student, Shinso.

The purple-haired teen stood casually in the center of the arena as Sero swung around him, uncertain of how to attack an opponent with an unknown quirk.

Shinso's lips moved.

Mikumo strained his ears.

"-some Spider-Man knockoff. Are you going to web me up?"

Mikumo saw Sero's face twitch, the seemingly off-hand comment getting under his skin.

"It's tape! Not web-"

As soon as the words left Sero's mouth his eyes went glassy, his arms limp.

"Sleep."

Sero hit the ground bonelessly, snoring audible even up in the stands.

~"And Sero is down, is he asleep?"~

A louder snore echoed around the arena.

~"Yeah, he is. I guess Team Ojiro and Shinso wins, right?"~

Shinso sighed, before looking up at the crowd, sitting in silence, unsure whether to clap or not.

~"Right, Match 2 is over, and Cementoss has just confirmed the stage is undamaged, so in just a few minutes the third match will start! Don't look away!"~

With one final look Shinso turned and walked out of the stage. As he passed Mikumo in the entrance tunnel the dark-haired teen saw the tremor in his hands, the slightly shallow, panicked breathing.

Shinso was playing aloof, mysterious underdog.

"You're Akatani, right?"

Mikumo looked around to see the grey-haired teen from earlier, the one who argued with Reza.

"Yeah." Mikumo nodded. "And you're Hagane then."

Hagane nodded. "Your suit is pretty impressive, you must be excited at how much attention it must be getting."

Mikumo frowned. "I guess, but it's not something I intend to sell off to a support company."

It was now Hagane's turn to look confused. "Isn't that what the Support department is?"

"Not me." Mikumo answered. "I'm not building my suit for attention or money. I want to be a hero."

"A hero?"

Mikumo nodded. "Yeah, I'm going to be a hero."

~"Everybody, throw your hands in the air, Match 3 is about to begin!"~

The crowd cheered, clearly hoping for a more exciting fight than the last one.

~"From the blue tunnel, we have the sparkling savant, 1-A's Aoyama, and Kaizan Kogo, the wordsmith of 1-C. Annnnd, from the red tunnel the man of metal, 1-H's Mikumo Akatani, and the man of metal manipulation, 1-D's Hineru Hagane!"~

Turning away from Hagane, Mikumo walked towards the end of the tunnel, drawing his visor from his pocket and sliding them into place.

"Shall I start deployment, Pilot Yamikumo?"

"Please, configuration AD9."

"Affirmative."

ASPECT fell silent, but Mikumo could see operations and processes flying by in the corners of his holographic visor, the confirmations that the armor sections had been deployed from the base station.

Sunlight washed over Mikumo and Hagane as they stepped out into the arena, a mixture of cheers and boos echoing around the stadium. Mikumo noted a large percentage of the latter was aimed at him.

At least some things never changed.

"What's the plan?" Hagane questioned as they crossed the boundary.

"Aoyama's quirk lets him shoot lasers from his bellybutton, but only for a second at a time, any longer and he gets ill. I don't know about Kogo, he has one, but I watched the footage back and I can't pin it down." Mikumo answered.

The two teens came to a halt, looking across at Aoyama, who was busy striking a pose, and another boy, with curly, parchment coloured hair.

"I know Kogo's quirk, the GenEd classes trained together." Hagane explained. "It's called Haiku, anything he says as a haiku becomes reality for a maximum of ten minutes, but he has to hold his concentration on the effect to sustain it."

"Does he have a limit of the number of Haikus he can have active at once?" Mikumo queried, his visor flashing to let him know his suit had nearly arrived.

"It's limited by his own level of concentration, three is his current maximum I think."

Mikumo nodded pensively. "Right, so a shock to the system would throw his concentration off and make him release his active Haikus."

Two thuds echoed as metal projectiles hit the ground in front of Mikumo. The metal containers rearranged themselves to form his boots, allowing Mikumo to slip his feet inside.

A third projectile slammed down, opening up to reveal two handles. Mikumo bent down and grabbed them, pushing them down as he did. Standing, the metal projectile shifted and changed, forming his chest, back and shoulder armor, as well as his gauntlets.

"SHTR system fully operational, Pilot Yamikumo."

Mikumo pressed a finger to the inside of his metal covered palm, the action causing his visor screen to scroll through his loadout.

Left Arm: Foam

Right Arm: Shield

Left Leg: Booster - Skávo Attachment Module

Right Leg: Booster - Skávo Attachment Module

The Shield gauntlet to block Aoyama's laser, the Foam gauntlet to immobilise his opponents and the basic Booster boots with the Skávo sabatons attached for their ability to brace him against concussive attacks, again chosen to combat Aoyama's quirk.

Mikumo turned his head to Hagane in time to see him shrug off his gym jacket, revealing a black tank top with a metal plated bulletproof vest over it. Both of his arms had metal wrist guards, fastened with brown leather straps.

~"It's Light and Sound vs. the Tungsten Twosome! MATCH, START!" ~

A buzzer sounded, the fight had begun.

Kogo walked forward, his strangely colored hair shifting in the breeze.

"A starlight shining,

brilliant quirk without restraint,

blazing through the air."

Mikumo felt something humming in the air, building to a crescendo before Aoyama glowed a mixture of purple and blue.

The blond teen struck another pose. "Allow me to introduce you to the unshackled power of my quirk, mes amies ."

"ASPECT, deploy the shield!"

Mikumo raised his arm, his shield unfolding in time to block Aoyama's laser as it swung wildly across the arena.

After a few seconds the laser stopped, Mikumo lowered his shield, taking note of the singed line across it, the surface slightly warped.

"Hagane?" Mikumo looked over at his teammate.

"I'm fine."

In front of Hagane floated the metal plating from his vest, formed in the shape of an interlocking barrier, his arms outstretched, as if reaching out for it.

"So that's Metal Manipulation?" Mikumo whispered, a frown briefly crossing his features.

It's a perfect quirk for U.A. Hero Course Entrance Exam. Yet, he's in GenEd.

Bending his arms and bringing his fists near to his chest, Hagane summoned his metal plates back to him, returning to their places on his vest.

Turning his focus back to his opponents, Mikumo saw Aoyama charging up for another laser, aimed at him, while Kogo's gaze was squarely on Hagane.

This is their plan, divide and conquer.

"You take Aoyama, I'll take Kogo." Mikumo instructed, before firing the boosters in his boots and on his back. "Aoyama's belt contains metal by the way."

"Akatani!" Hagane barked, watching as the black-haired teen barreled through air towards Kogo. "Damn it."

Honing in on Aoyama, Hagane summoned two plates from within a recess in one of his gauntlets, fluidly reshaping them into shimming discs, each half a meter in diameter.

"Let's make this quick." Hagane stated. "Akatani can't handle Kogo on his own."

" Non, non ! We shall make a spectacle to capture the attention of everyone watching, and I will shine brightly to greet them." Aoyama struck a pose, firing a laser as he did.

With the twitch of his fingers one of the metal discs shifted to block Aoyama's laser, redirecting it into the ground instead.

Mikumo landed, his sabatons distributing the shock up his boots safely.

Now Kogo's inky black eyes were on him.

Kogo spoke.

"Skin, muscle and bone.

Words enhance them, strengthen. Hark!

Power to match steel"

Kogo's skin glowed, brightest at his throat, before taking on a slightly unnatural hue, his muscles swelling.

"His throat, it's the source." Mikumo murmured to himself.

The dark-haired teen charged forwards, arm reared back, slamming it into Kogo's hastily formed block.

Metal rang.

Kogo stood resolute, his arms not having moved in the slightest. Mikumo pushed backwards, a small boost from his boots to aid, allowing him to barely dodge a kick from Kogo.

Mikumo twisted the cuff on his Foam gauntlet to the white setting, before raising his arm and aiming at his opponent's feet.

Immobilisation foam shot from Mikumo's gauntlet, covering Kogo's feet and expanding tenfold.

Kogo calmly looked down at his bound legs. Slowly he lifted one leg up and then the other, ripping the foam apart like tissue paper.

"Why did you think that would work?" Kogo shot a confused look at Mikumo. "I have super-strength."

"Honestly, I'm not that impressed either." Mikumo sighed. "I definitely thought the immobilisation foam was stronger than that."

"It is pretty cool though."

"Thanks."

Mikumo jumped to one side, pivoting as he did, to avoid Kogo's fist. A grapple fired from his gauntlet, Kogo's kick landing on empty space Mikumo had just filled.

"ASPECT, activate Accel Mode, 12% power."

"Of course, pilot Yamikumo."

Mikumo became a blur, shooting another grapple to the side of Kogo and going on the offensive, rocketing at his opponent.

A volley of punches and kicks rained down on Kogo forcing him to focus on blocking the blows coming from all directions.

The attacks ceased, Mikumo coming to halt where he had started, steam bellowing from seams of his armor.

Kogo took a step towards Mikumo only to find his leg unable to move. Looking down, Kogo saw the metal wire from Mikumo's grapple wrapped around him.

"Oh, that's not good."

Mikumo retracted his grapple, pulling Kogo off his feet and towards the boundary.

Kogo pulled against his bindings, the metal groaning and shifting, he was strong enough to break them, but by the time he did he would already be on the other side of the boundary.

His ink-black eyes shifted, the irises almost seeming to become liquid, swishing and swirling.

"Shining plates of steel.

Froth and bubble, burst and bind."

Mikumo tightened his grip on the grapple line, getting ready to throw Kogo out of bounds.

Panic filled Kogo's body, frantically searching for the word to finish his haiku.

"Mechanical fault!"

Mikumo stopped dead, his foam gauntlet bursting open, immobilisation foam covering him and expanding, completely encasing him.

Kogo breathed a sigh of relief, releasing his strength-enhancing haiku. His muscles deflated, returning to normal and allowing the grapple line to go loose.

Standing, Kogo glanced across at the mass of foam, twice as tall as he was, growing as Mikumo's armor continually released more immobilisation foam.

~"Wow, wow, wow! It looks like Kogo made Akatani's own suit malfunction and trap him. With Akatani out of the running, it's doubtful Hagane will be able to fend Kogo and Aoyama off for another six minutes. It may all be over for Hagane and Akatani."~

"Never give up, never surrender!"

Mikumo's voice rang through the stadium as he appeared, sans armor, from the back of the foam mass, jumping from the top of it, falling towards Kogo.

Rolling and returning to his feet, Mikumo maintained his momentum, slamming his elbow into Kogo's diaphragm, driving the air from his lungs.

Blocking Kogo's weak punch, Mikumo punched his opponent in the throat, making him gasp in shock.

Kogo stumbled back, the shock to the source of his Quirk's power canceling his haikus. On the other side of the arena Aoyama suddenly gripped his stomach, falling to ground mid laser blast.

Mikumo grabbed Kogo's arm, spinning to place his back against his opponent's front, arm over his shoulder. With a yell and all his strength Mikumo threw Kogo.

The parchment-haired boy sprawled out of bounds, rolling to halt.

The sound of Midnight's whip cracking echoed through the stadium.

"Kaizen Kogo is out of bounds! Yuga Aoyama is unable to fight! Hineru Hagane and Mikumo Akatani are the winners!"

~"With a single decisive attack Akatani has ended the battle, and all without his amazing mechanical suit! What a show!"~

Mikumo breathed a sigh of relief as the tension melted from his frame.

He'd done it, even if he lost his next match, Mikumo had made his mark, proof that he was more than just his suit.

More than the sum of his parts.

Izuku eyed the curtains drawn around his bed in the Nurse's office.

Recovery Girl had hurriedly drawn them just after she had chivved him and Todoroki to separate bays, another curtain drawn between them.

Someone was injured, seriously.

The curtains shifted, allowing Aizawa to enter, the hero was even more dishevelled than normal, his replacement goggles, a slightly different shade and design to the ones destroyed at USJ, askew around his neck.

"Problem Child." Aizawa hesitated. "Recovery Girl has requested your help. You have the option to say no, which I'm sure you will not take, but I have to warn you, you will never unsee this."

"I'll help."

Aizawa sighed. "Of course you will, follow me."

Izuku threw his covers back, slipping his feet into his sneakers as he climbed out of bed.

"I'll allow Recovery Girl to explain the patient's conditions." Aizawa paused. "Izuku, prepare yourself."

Izuku took a deep breath, as Aizawa opened the curtains, allowing him to enter.

His heightened hero fanboy senses immediately identified Backdraft and Okuzo, an underground hero well known in online forums for infiltrations of numerous villain rings.

And then Izuku saw the patient.

Mina Sandoitsu.

Her head and shoulders were thick with her own acid, as it burnt her skin and eyes horribly, her hair lying loose around her head, the follicles seared away.

Sandoitsu's mouth was open, she was clearly trying to scream, but no sound came out.

Izuku suppressed the urge to vomit, before joining Recovery Girl at the side of the bed. "What do you need me to do?"

"The girl, she is under the effect of Trigger. Her quirk, Acid, is enhanced beyond her physical protection, which is naturally lower around her head." Recovery Girl glanced over at Izuku. "She secreted acid from her head due to being bound, which is causing third-degree, partial thickness, chemical burns in that region and potentially permanent loss of sight in both eyes. The acid is too viscous to be washed away with Backdraft's quirk and the Trigger is causing a continued production of acid in the injured region."

"Could you use Heal to accelerate her body and flush out the Trigger?" Izuku questioned.

"I could, it would be a tricky manoeuvre, with high-level control of Heal needed, but currently I'm using my quirk to keep her facial and ocular burns from worsening beyond repair." Recovery Girl shifted over, allowing Izuku to move to stand and the head of the bed. "I need you to take that over while I purge the Trigger."

Izuku nodded, placing his hands on Sandoitsu's writhing arm, her body held down by straps and Okuzo.

Calling on Heal, its warm glow filling his body, Izuku directed it to Sandoitsu, copying Recovery Girl's pattern.

Izuku felt Recovery Girl's quirk turn away from Sandoitsu's head and shoulders, instead focusing on her circulatory system, accelerating her liver function to quickly purge the Trigger.

The acid secretion stopped, Sandoitsu's movements quietened slightly, but her skin continued to burn, the remaining acid layered across her skin.

Izuku looked sideways at Recovery Girl. "I have an idea about how to get rid of the acid."

"I'm listening." Recovery Girl opened her eyes as her quirk returned to healing Sandoitsu's face and eyes, keeping them stable.

"I have a quirk, Liquidise, it allows me to turn anything I touch into water temporarily, and when I release it the affected person or object reverts back to normal." Izuku explained. "Backdraft, if I use this quirk on Sandoitsu could you use your quirk to separate her body, the mass of water, from the acid?"

Backdraft nodded. "I can."

"We'll do it then." Recovery Girl spoke. "On three. One, two, three."

Izuku activated Liquidise, turning Sandoitsu into water. He could see the purple acid swirling around inside the mass of water, the two liquids incapable of mixing.

He then felt Backdraft's quirk latch onto the water and the water content in the acid, pulling the two apart gently and with careful precision, not leaving even a drop of the acid behind.

The purple acid hit the floor with a wet slap before burning away on the linoleum it rested upon.

"It's done."

Nodding at Backdraft's words, Izuku released Liquidise, the water instantly reshaping into Sandoitsu, once more lying on the bed, her breathing slightly less panicked, her mouth no longer trying in vain to scream.

"Midoriya, focus on healing the soft-tissue areas, I will focus on the eyes and throat." Recovery Girl reached out and touched Sandoitsu with her lips, avoiding the burnt areas.

"O-Of course." Izuku nodded, tapping into One For All to give the nearly drained Heal quirk a new well of power to draw from.

Pouring the energy from his Heal quirk into Sandoitsu's body he quickly targeted the soft-tissues in her face and neck, accelerating the healing process.

The burns lost their sickening shine, the skin slowly returning to its normal purple hue. But Izuku's power wasn't enough.

Scars remained.

A criss-cross of warped skin formed a patchwork across her face. On the top of her head Izuku's Heal quirk reached the destroyed hair follicles, his power only just able to coax them back to a somewhat functional state.

Drained, Izuku released Heal, his shoulders slumping, breathing heavy.

Feeling his nose warm, Izuku discreetly wiped it, the back of his hand coming away red.

Activating Hyper Regeneration the flow of blood ceased, briefly scabbing over before fully healing with a final sting of pain.

Recovery Girl stepped back from the bed, her eyes not leaving Sandoitsu.

"I've healed her as much as I can without risking her health." Recovery Girl paused, the silence heavy and oppressive. "Her eyes are fully healed, but her vocal cords have suffered extensive damage, only time will tell how permanent it is."

Izuku breathed a small sigh of relief.

Recovery Girl placed a hand on Izuku's arm. "Thank you for your help, Izuku, clean yourself up and get some rest."

"Right, okay, I will." Izuku nodded distractedly. "Will she be okay?"

"She's stable, she'll be okay." Recovery Girl assured the green-haired teen.

Aizawa cleared his throat. "For now this is on a need to know basis, Midoriya, it's no coincidence that the first appearance of Trigger in years is in the hands of U.A. students so close to the USJ attack."

Izuku nodded his head vigorously. "Of course, Mr. Aizawa, I won't say a word."

Aizawa inclined his head. "Good, clean up and rest like Recovery Girl said."

"There's some gummies in my desk if you're hungry, top left drawer."

"Thanks, Recovery Girl." Izuku bowed to her, before doing the same to the other three heroes.

Aizawa pulled open the curtain, allowing Izuku to step through, letting it drop back into place as soon as the teen was gone.

"Eraser, what you said about Trigger, you think the Hero Commission is behind this?" Backdraft questioned.

Aizawa replied with a small nod.

"Hardly surprising." Okuzo stated. "I'm sure they were fully aware that the USJ attack was a thing in advance, yet they kept Y o wai and me in the dark until five minutes bef o re.

Okuzo lowered his gloved hand from his mouth, used to block the small jet of flame that shot out everytime he spoke the letter o .

Aizawa's expression briefly darkened. "Two incidents, just weeks apart, the instigators to each with organisation or supplies beyond their means. Both perfectly poised to damage U.A.'s reputation."

Recovery Girl pursed her lips. "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence-"

"The third time is a pattern."

The curtain dropped close, Nezu stood with a grim look on his face. An equally stoic All Might stood next to him, in his muscle form.

"Nezu? All Might?"

"A major incident has been declared in Mustafu." Nezu answered gravely.

All Might frowned. "Shigaraki has struck again, he and the Children of All For One have attacked three prison vans on the way to Tartarus."

"The three transports carrying some of the villains from the USJ attack, that's thirty six altogether." Aizawa stated. "How long since?"

"Ten minutes ago." Nezu sighed. "Kurogiri portaled Shigaraki, Nigata and Sangata, one to each of the transports. Slugger and Airjet have been hospitalised."

All Might frowned. "Thirty-six villains are running free in Mustafu, with nothing to lose."

Izuku sat on the side of his bed, staring at his phone, reading a summary of the doubles matches he'd missed while he'd been in the Nurse's office.

Scrolling through the results Izuku breathed a sigh of relief, both Mikumo and Iida had made it through. Uraraka hadn't been so lucky, up against Bakugo and Kirishima in the first round she hadn't stood a chance, even though Izuku knew she was easily one of the best in the competition.

It was a testament to the strength of Bakugo, and Kirishima as well. Without a solid partner Bakugo could have easily ended up fighting Uraraka and Shoji at the same time, something Izuku wasn't sure Bakugo would have been able to beat.

Notably, Izuku saw that Ojiro had withdrawn from Round 2, leaving a spot open, taken instead by Isshoni Reimitsu, her performance in both the Cavalry Battle and the Doubles Round impressing the Sports Festival Committee.

The sixth match had just begun, Toru and Chikyu versus Tetsutetsu and Takarakuji. Momo's match wasn't for a while yet, the last of Round 1, Izuku was hoping Recovery Girl would discharge him in time for him to cheer Momo on.

Taking a steadying breath, Izuku scrolled down to the match-ups for Round 2.

Izuku Midoriya vs. Shoto Todoroki

Hitoshi Shinso vs. Isshoni Reimitsu

Hineru Hagane vs. Mikumo Akatani

Katsuki Bakugo vs. Eijiro Kirishima

Tenya Iida vs. Mina Ashido

[Match R1-6 Winner] vs. [Match R1-6 Winner]

[Match R1-7 Winner] vs. [Match R1-7 Winner]

[Match R1-8 Winner] vs. [Match R1-8 Winner]

Izuku was up against Todoroki. It wasn't the end of the world, but he had been hoping to fight heavy hitters like Todoroki or Bakugo later on.

The green-haired teen had to admit that having teammates of the first round fight each other in the second round was interesting, and in no small part devious. He was one hundred percent certain it was Nezu's idea.

An unmistakable silhouette passed by the other side of the curtain pulled around his bed.

"All Might?" Izuku stood, his phone dropping to his side.

Moving to the curtain, Izuku pulled it back.

"All Might?"

Stopping in his steps, All Might turned, a small, tense smile on his face. "Hello, Young Midoriya."

"Can I ask, wait, is something wrong?" Izuku frowned, shifting nervously.

All Might paused for a second, an unreadable expression on his face. "Sorry, you just reminded me of someone, my mentor, for a second."

Izuku stared back at All Might, unsure what to say or to even say anything at all.

"Right, there's been an attack on the prisoner transports, the villains from the USJ attack." All Might explained. "On the other side of Mustafu."

"It's All For One, isn't it?"

All Might nodded. "Shigaraki and the Children of All For One led the attack that freed them."

"The Nomu from the USJ attack?" Izuku questioned. "Has that been freed?"

"Fortunately not." All Might sighed.

Izuku shook his head. "Sorry, I'm distracting you, you need to go, go and be All Might."

All Might spoke. "You had a question, didn't you?"

"I-I did, but it doesn't-"

"It does, ask away." All Might assured.

"When you see someone who needs help, even if they say they don't need help, even if it hurts your chance to be a hero, you should help them, right?"

All Might smiled. "Midoriya, giving help that's not asked for, is part of what makes a true hero. But, above all, I know whatever choice you make will be a right choice, because it's your choice. Recovery Girl told me about Young Sandoitsu, you helped in a situation you have no training for, no expectation to help, and yet, you still did. I trust you, Izuku."

With a small nod and one of his brilliant grins, All Might turned and left.

Izuku took a deep breath, looking down at his phone. "This is the right thing to do."

Moving over to the curtain around Todoroki's bed, Izuku spoke. "Todoroki?"

The curtain parted, revealing Todoroki stood, his hand bandaged.

"You want to say something to me." Todoroki stated plainly, his voice echoing in the almost empty room. "When we, merged, I could feel it, not exactly what it was, only that it existed."

Izuku stared at Todoroki for a few seconds, before sighing. "This thing, it's something I should tell you, but I know you're not going to like it."

"I am used to hard truths." Todoroki replied. "Reassuring lies have never solved a problem."

"Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you." Izuku drew on Bakugo's confidence as he sat down on the chair next to the bed, where Todoroki himself sat. "You said your father married your mother to create a child to surpass All Might, a quirk marriage, who told you that?"

Todoroki eyed the green-haired boy warily. "My older brothers, Toya and Natsuo."

"So not from your mother or father directly?"

Todoroki shook his head slightly. "No, I haven't seen mother since she burnt me, and father doesn't believe in children asking questions."

"I thought that that would be the case." Izuku paused. "Your parents' marriage wasn't a quirk marriage, the math simply doesn't work."

"How much has my father paid you to do this?" Todoroki demanded, raising his voice for the first time since Izuku had met him.

"Endeavor hasn't paid me anything, I'm a hero fanboy, I just know my history." Izuku insisted. "Endeavor is forty-eight, his marriage was first announced in April of 2153, that he had wed at a private ceremony three years earlier. First child born in 2150, the year Endeavor made it into the top fifty of the Hero Rankings, and then No. 2 later that year. Now, All Might didn't return and make his Japanese debut until 2153, rising to No.1 in late 2154, in the first 2155 Heroes Rankings he briefly lost the No.1 spot to Best Jeanist, the previous No.1, reclaiming it later in the year, Endeavor re-took No.2 at the same time, surpassing Best Jeanist."

Todoroki's eyes bored into Izuku, before he stood and left the room, closing the door with force.

Izuku looked up from his muttering. "Oh."

With a sigh Izuku rose, looking towards the door.

"I just want to help, Todoroki. Your quirk shouldn't be a prison."

Izuku slumped.

"Your quirk should set you free."

Izuku's head suddenly throbbed, like it had been hit with a hammer, his vision blurring.

Staggering, Izuku caught himself on the edge of the bed, just about managing to stay on his feet, crouched over.

Slowly, the pressure faded, Izuku's vision coming back into view.

A drop of crimson fell from his nose, splattering on the covers, followed by many more.
