Diluc eyed every movement that the Fatui makes, even his men stayed vigilant.
La Signora stood up glaring at the red head.
"Ragnvindr" One could feel the anger and the rage of the voice that came out of her mouth.
"Present?" Diluc answered.
Without any warning she released a chilling gale towards Diluc and his men.
But Diluc retaliated with a Scorching Slash. Other vision users in his men used their elements to stop the gale then they rushed towards the Fatui and chaos ensued.
Jean woke up on her desk as she heard a loud bang on the door of the headquarters.
"Lower your weapons and stay on the ground!" Jean dashed on the center of the halls.
Sword drawn towards the trespassers. Only to see men in black hood carrying the wounded Jaune and Ren.
"Jaune!? What happened!?" As the men was about to talk.
Rosaria and Knights from the Reconnaissance Company arrived with a wounded Bard.
"You are Diluc's men. Where is he?" The Captain of the Reconnaissance Company asked.
"Master Diluc and the others are holding a member of the Fatui Harbinger." The man who is holding Ren in his answered.
"HE WHAT!?" Both Jean and Eula said calmly. Rosaria looked at the men.
"Give me a horse." Rosaria then cut in.
Everyone looked at her.
"What?" She asked
"Nothing, there are horses on the gates you can just take one from over there." One the Knights answered as Rosaria nodded to the knight.
"Location?"
"The path near the winery that leads to Liyue Harbor." Rosaria left after hearing the location.
"Half of the knights here will follow behind her!" Jean immediately ordered the Knights
"Eula get some knights!" She pointed at Eula and some knights as they held the three wounded people.
"Get them to the Infirmary and give them first aid."
"Also get someone to call Sister Barbara here, the rest are going with me as reinforcements." Jean immediately moved followed by half of the knights of the Reconnaissance Company.
Diluc blocked a claw rushing towards him as he punched the wielder of said claw.
He then swung a devastating overhead slash filled with Pyro energy.
Those who were hit immediately tasted the dirt due to the weight of the claymore.
He did an upward diagonal slash that was also filled with Pyro energy that burned brightly.
And followed up with a spinning overhead downward slash.
'I can't keep this up for long.' Diluc thought as he blocked an ice barrage that came from a cryo Cicin mage.
A cloaked Agent went behind him as the barrage continued.
"!!!!!" Alarm bells rang inside Diluc's mind as he saw the claw moving straight for his throat.
A black hooded figure jumped out front the trees as a silver blade was drawn, they made a downward stab the went straight through the Fatui agent's chest.
"Elzer and Adelinde sent me a message." The hooded figure lowered their hood.
A navy blue hair that has a few streaks of a lighter colour greeted Diluc and the figure turned to Diluc and smirked.
"They said you're going on a suicide run." the man said.
"Kaeya, not now please."
"Sure sure, by the way the Acting Grandmaster is coming here with reinforcement." Kaeya casually said as he dashed towards the Cicin mage.
"Seems like she's caught the wind of your movements." Kaeya gave a smug look as he pulled the sword out of the mage's body.
Diluc breathe a sigh of relief after the barrage stopped but then scowled at the Calvary Captain that doesn't own a horse.
But the said Captain just ignored him and continues fighting.
Diluc's men were slowly push the fatui back before a blizzard slammed unto all of them.
La Signora was furious as she release the full power of her vision.
Even Diluc who counters her element struggle to keep up with her output.
"Vermins each one of you!" She yelled as she pointed her open palms towards the direction of the fighting. Her arms and chest were bleeding due to the attack that Ren has done to her.
"Die!" She hurled another blizzard toward them.
Kaeya resisted the ice and focused his elemental energy on his front. A wall of ice stood tall Infront of Kaeya and Diluc. Kaeya them punched Diluc's chest to free him from being frozen. Diluc only gave him a nod of thanks as his claymore burned brightly.
All ice in their radius melted even the ice wall slowly melted.
A circular barrier of pyro defended against the incoming blizzard as the ice wall melted.
The radius of the barrier slowly rises as Diluc's sword brightens up like a molten lava.
The heat made Kaeya who is next to Diluc sweat even when in the middle of a blizzard.
With big swing Diluc released his favorite attack, the phoenix much bigger than what he normally releases Diluc followed behind the phoenix as it cuts through the blizzard straight to Signora.
She tried to defend against it only for it to fly up which confused her then she saw a claymore sailing through the air aiming for her death.
Just as Diluc is about to kill her a blue and black sword intercepted his attack.
"Tch."
"We must leave now my Lord ordered from above has been given we gave up the Anemo gnosis for now." A woman in a different attire stood beside Signora. She was wearing an outfit that is almost the same as Diluc only for it to be in blue color a Hydro looking vision is strapped her belt.
"What do you mean by-!?" Her sentence was cut of by Kaeya dashing in to stab her only for the woman to deflect his blade eand counter. Kaeya clicked his tongue as he slid back due to the counter of the woman.
"Heavy." He muttered.
Diluc would have followed up only for a big hydro spear intercepting him. He stopped on his tracks as the spear multiplied.
"The Tsaritsa has ordered for your retreat." The woman moved to carry Signora.
La Signora gritted her teeth as she glared at Diluc and Kaeya and she was then held into a princess carry by the woman La Signora then used her vision to turn the water spears into I've spear and hurled them towards the brother as they vanished in a gale of wind.
Kaeya stopped all the ice spears to protect the exhausted Diluc.
"How are you holding up?" Kaeya asked as he looked at Diluc who is now holding unto his claymore to stand
"I may have overdone it." He said as he pant hard. They then heard hooves of horses coming closer. Many tensed only to see the Acting Grandmaster leading the charge.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you." Diluc chuckled as he looked at Jean.
Jean's eyes widens and faked coughed.
Kaeya looked around then pointed at himself.
"Me?"
"Report."
"Oh. Uh. Ok." He coughed.
"Kaeya Alberich, Calvary Captain of the Knights of Favonious give his report.
I was abit late from the starting of the fight but from the looks of things it was the Fatui who instigated the fight.
Mr. Diluc Ragnvindr only helped a person from the ambush that the Fatui has made their goals and mission are unknown to us." Kaeya said as to which Jean gave him a nodded.
"Check on the injured. Give the critical ones first aid and get group up the bodies of the dead." Jean immediately ordered to which all knights moved without any hesitation.
"Will it be alright to help you?" Jean asked.
"You have my thanks." Diluc groaned in relief as soothing winds wrapped around him.
"This is such a long day." Diluc muttered as his body fell on the dirt. Gone was the tensed attitude he had as it was now replaced with relieved feeling.
Another horse can be seen slowly moving towards them the knights who were available immediately went for their sword. Only to see a familiar pale nun. Behind he are Fatui agents tied with ropes. some being dragged while some were walking next to her are some of the knights that were sent to follow her and the men that Diluc sent to deliver Jaune and Ren to the headquarters.
"Sir. With he help of sister Rosaria we managed to capture some retreating forces.
We have also delivered Sir Jaune and his friend to the headquarters as of now they are being nurtured until they are healthy."
"Thank goodness."
"Acting Grandmaster." The knights moved down from their horses and gave salute to her.
"Most of the fighting went to Sister Rosaria, it's my first time seeing a nun fight." One of the knights reported with a hint of admiration in her voice.
"Now most of the female knights wants to be taught by her." She added.
"O-oh is that so? Worry not I will allow you to learn from her but do try to ask her yourself."
"Thank you!" The female knight bowed and gone back to her fellow knights.
Diluc just sighed as he sat on the dirt.
"I have a feeling I'm getting an earful from Elzer and Adelinde." Kaeya and Jean chuckled at this.
Jaune and Ren woke up with a gasped. Then they saw Nora slowly sat up from her bed also.
"What happened to you two?" She asked abit haggardly.
"Let's just say the fight didn't go so well." Ren said as he moved out of the bed.
With a yawn Jaune checked his scroll.
"It's 4:30am." He said as he yawned again.
"I really hate these visions I can't sleep late and I can't wake up late or atleast around 7am it's always 5am or 4:30am." Jaune grumbled as he stood up and ready his uniform.
"I'm going to get a drink." Ren said as he went out the room.
"what about you Nora what happened to you?" Jaune asked as he looked at the deflated Nora.
"I lost my weapon... Magnhild!!!!" She dramatically cried. Only for a stray pillow to hit her face.
Jaune looked at where the pillow came from only to see a grumbling Pyrrha Nikos.
"Shhhush." She yawned and went back to sleep.
"Yeah I'm also getting something to drink, what about you?"
"I'm going to check on my weapon to see if it's still there."
"Alright let's meet at the grounds for early morning exercise." Jaune said as he left the room.
...
Outside Ren is sipping a water from the drinking fountain.
"Ren. Word please." Ren looked at him and gave a thumbs up.
Jaune then got a cold coffee from the vending machine and sat to one of the lounge of the dormitory building. Ren followed and sat to one of the couches.
"We almost died." Jaune said as he deflated in the couch his skin paled as he remembered the way The Fair Lady disassembled them.
"I think we're relying too much on the elemental powers that we are lacking in proper fighting style." Ren said.
"Jaune I've seen how you fight, you used Crocea Mors like a one handed sword, you don't use the shield often even when defending you use your sword and that dual sword style you did didn't help us at all , it only made you more vulnerable." Jaune grasp his head in frustration as he remembered his errors.
"Ren." Ren perked up.
"I think the visions or the memories are caging us. We're relying on those too much, more specifically me."
"That I can agree I guess it's time for you to train." Ren said. Jaune only gritted his teeth.
"Why of all people did it have to be me with this kind of semblance." Jaune muttered only for Ren to hear him.
"Jaune you're -"
"If it was a different person you wouldn't have been hurt. If it was Pyrrha then, then, this wouldn't had happened." Jaune bowed his head
"Even with all of this power and I can't even protect my friends" Jaune bowed his emhead even lower only for Ren to punch him. Jaune looked at him in surprise.
"Sorry I think I got Rai's habit on punch my friends when they blame themselves but Jaune it's not your fault, it's no one else's fault."
"But-"
"No listen to me. You can't control what happens in the other world, you can only travel there. What happens there is because of the people there not you, not your semblance." Ren pointed at him.
"And don't you ever blame yourself when we get hurt."
"But What if it's from my order?! What if I ordered you to do something only for you guys to get injured, or worse dead?!"
"Then it's also not your fault! If you ordered something like then that means you trust our skills and abilities and if we ever fail that means we betrayed your trust."
"No Ren believe me I'm very confident in you, Nora and Pyrrha's skills and abilities,
What I'm scared of is me being inadequate to receive your trust. Hell if not for this Semblance and this memory bullcrap I won't even be the level of even Cardin and that's saying something." Jaune panted.
"If not for my semblance and luck I wouldn't be here in Beacon I would be just a fraud that got in by faking my transcripts. I don't even know what aura is until I trained with you guys."
"I thought I was ready and adequate due to the memories of the people from another world I was even confident that I will be able to be better but from I've seen it's all just false confidence and in the end I'm still the same Jaune Arc. The kid that didn't belong here. The one who fake their way into Beacon. Someone who only got lucky due a strong semblance and if removed would just be usele-" Another fist hit him.
"Shut up!" Ren punched him this time he looked furious.
"I don't care! You are here cause you passed the initiation, you are here because you deserved to be here! You're not useless especially with that kind of semblance you should be happy!!
I mean look at me my semblance only lets me calm my emotions! Yes it's useful but only in a situational scenarios! But you! You have a semblance that lets you get a some elemental magic-bullcrap! You know I was jealous of you! JEALOUS! I got jealous of you due to your so called semblance! The way you can control wind and move it the way you want it to move, that strength of that wind that can even break open a Deathstalker's armor!! I asked myself if only I had my semblance back then, then I wouldn't be- I wouldn't have ran away! I wouldn't have left my Father to die back then! And that Mother and Father would be..." Ren trailed off as his electric coated fist hit the floor next to Jaune creating a deep dent and cracks.
"Damn it!" Ren stood up and walked away.
Unknown to the two Nora, Pyrrha and a certain Red hair reaper heard what happened.

Few days passed and nothing happened though team JNPR were doing stuff together a small rift has appeared between Jaune and Ren not out of hatred or despise but due to awkwardness in each other's presence.
Nora look at the both of them worriedly as she ate her breakfast. Next to her is Pyrrha who is also looking worried at the their teammates.
"Soo what happened to those you?" Yang asked as W and B of team RWBY got curious.
"Ren and Jaune had a disagreement in the past few days ago. Now there is some sort of rift between them." Nora answered gone was her enthusiastic and optimistic tone.
"Sheesh must be an explosive of a fight for that to happened." Yang said.
"Yang I don't think their fight is like the same as me and Blake." Weiss said as she ate her food.
"I agree it's more like the two of them are having trouble on what to say."
"Maybe we should just lock them in a room and let them talk it out?" Nora muttered only for everyone to agree at her.
"I think that's the best course of action."
Nora then ate the last piece of her pancake.
"Alright! I got a plan!".
"What happened?" Cinder asked Mercury as they watched Ren from afar.
"The leader Jaune Arc and Lie Ren had an argument no one knows what it was about only for the other team member named Nora Valkyrie."
"Is that so? Then this a chance." Cinder smiled.
"Neopolitan will arrive the day after tomorrow under the guise of Nestle Mint." Mercury snorted at the name.
"It was Neo's name suggestion so don't laugh at it if you don't want to get stabbed." Mercury made a zipping motion with his mouth as Emerald smugly looked at him.
"Wait will Beacon approved of a latecomer?"
"Lionheart has made some arrangements Neo is sent to Mistral to undertake for a "medical checkup" so to say."
"I see so use that as excuse for her to be late. Quite smart plan I mean there are others with her right?"
"Yes there are Sun Wukong's team is also there but they are mostly due to their study. Though I've got to say Sun Wukong is smarter than he looks keep an eye and him and the Belladonna girl."
"Yes boss/ Yes Cinder."
"Good." Cinder smiled as she looked at Ren.
"Why had the Tsaritsa ordered for my retreat?" La Signora asked the Fatui elite.
"Lord Childe's plan has been set in motion. We need you to be there during the retrieval."
"Tch." La Signora gritted her teeth.
"I'm still not done here." She growled at the elite.
"We will get the Anemo Gnosis in the latter day for now we must focus on the Geo Archon's Gnosis." The elite moved from tree until they disappear in the dark ess of the night.
Omakes: The Wind glider "manual"
"Alright Thanks to Amber we got these cool looking Windgliders." Jaune excitedly said as he unfurled the wing like glider on his back.
"This seems interesting." Ren said as he held his hand to feel the texture of the glider.
"Oohh!! I like this!!" Nora bubbly jumped as she saw the Windglider.
"And with this Manual that Amber has given me, we will be able to use this Windgliders like a professional!!" Jaune held on his hand a dark leather covered book.
Nora jumped as she unfurled her wind glider
Ren gave a small smile and unfurled his too outside he looked calm but inside a child like excitement was bubbling too.
Seeing that his teammates were ready Jaune took the initiative and held the book with two hands ready to read it.
"Now then! Let's read this book!" Jaune opened the Book.
When the first wisp of wind brushed across the land.
Birds that yearned for the sky had wings.
But no way to fly.
They asked the Anemo God:"How can we reach the heavens?"
To which the Anemo God replied:"You have yet to find that which is most important"
As the God spoke, the wind thrust the seeds of a dandelion.
High into the sky.
The birds thrust out their wings
But the breeze was all too mild.
Leaving them to stumble across the earth
So they went to the gorge
Where the wind showed off its wild and incomparable strength
They threw themselves off the cliff.
And flapped their wings amongst the howling winds.
Until they were able to fly freely in the sky.
To the Anemo God they went, to gleefully say:"We understand now! All we needed was a stronger wind to fly"In reply the Anemo God said:"What you lacked was not wind, but courage"
"It is courage that has allowed you to become the first flying birds of this world"
Jaune finished reading as he closed the book, his face and Ren's screamed confusion.
"Woah!!! That was one of the best manuals I've ever heard!!! Well to be honest most manuals I've read were just boring stuff, but this? this is great!" Star twinkled in Nora's eyes.
"Nora I don't think this is an instruction manual." Ren said as he also read the book.
"It's a fairy tale." He added as Paimon came out of her constellation portal.
"Yep that's a fairy tale." She said as she looked at the book. But Nora ignored them.
"So all I need is courage..." She then gasped.
"Fearless leader!!! Boost me!!" Nora said as she stood on the edge of the front of the Favonious Cathedral.
"What do you mean by- Wait! No! Nora!!!!" Jaune's shout was too late as Nora jumped off the edge.
"Nora!!" Jaune held stopped on the edge as he threw a blast of wind to try and save Nora from falling.
"Weeeeeee!!!!!!" But the wind only carried Nora upwards. She is now much higher that where she initially started.
"Jaune.. You just made it worse." Ren said as he facepalmed.
"Nora get down from there!!" Jaune shouted only for his voice to fall in deaf ears.
End of another chapter and my first Omakes!! Tbh idk how to make an Omakes so yeah.. this my literal first ever Omakes.
I did Abit of character development on both Jaune and Ren I hope that if fits their character. I really hope it does.
As for now we we will be focusing on Remnant again.
And forgive me but I won't be adding the thing that happened in the highway due to Ozpin and Glynda concealing it to the students so only those involved will know what happened.
For now I'll go and watch the volume 2 of RWBY to update my mind on what happens next.
And I might take a break starting this week due to Christmas being near.
