Ash comes back home to help her friend Tori, but it seems spending time with her friend might spread some light on some past feelings.
Ch 6: Bunny In Distress
After Ash spent the next two days with Heart, she was taken to the airport to head home. She sat at her gate to wait for her flight. As she sat there though, her phone started to ring. Looking at who was calling her, it was Tori. She has been worried about the bunny for the last few days since she hasn't heard from her.
Ash quickly answered her phone, "Hey, Tori, it's been a while, girl. I've been texting you. How are you?"
There was a long silence before Tori finally spoke. "Ash…I need you to come over." She was so quiet and sounded like she was crying.
"Tori, what's the matter?" The bear asked, concerned.
"Please come over Ash…I don't want to be alone." The bunny said as she cried now.
"Hey, hey shhh, Tori, I can't come over right this moment. I'm at the airport in Memphis right now. I'm getting on my plane in the next half hour so I'll be home soon ok. Think you can pick me up from the airport?" Ash asked her softly.
"No…I don't want to leave my house….Please come over." Tori continued to cry.
The bear didn't know what was happening or what had happened to her friend, but she was worried and scared, "I'll grab an Uber then and head over to your place as soon as I land. Ok?"
All she got was a small and timid, "Ok."
"Hang in their girl. I'll see you soon." Ash said.
Tori then hung up and soon Ash sighed heavily before pulling at her hair a moment. She was worried about what was going on. It's been a long while since Tori asked her to come over, mainly because she was so distracted with that boyfriend of hers. From the way she sounded though, it didn't seem good. In the back of her head, she hoped the damn wolf was out of her life but at the same time felt annoyed that he made her friend feel this way. She would get to the bottom of it and help her friend the best she could.
At the same time, her feelings for Tori never left her…so she would always be there for her friend no matter what. Because deep down she loved her a lot. She'd do anything for her. This time is no exception. She just hated how everything happened now when she was away from home. At least she'd be there in the next few hours.
Soon enough Ash was on the plane home. Once she landed and got her luggage she got an Uber to Tori's trailer. She made sure to also text her friend to let her know she was on her way. It wasn't long till they dropped her off at her friend's home with her bag in hand. She went up to the door and rang the doorbell.
Soon enough the door opened and there was the pink bunny. It looked like she didn't sleep at all nor left her place. Ash looked at her friend worried. "Tori? Can I come in?"
The girl nodded before inviting her inside and then went over to her couch and sat down.
Ash sighed as she went and sat on the couch next to her. "So…what's been going on? What has you all bent out of shape hmm?"
There was a long moment of silence but Tori started to cry again and managed to choke out, "My boyfriend and I…broke up."
"That motherfucker, I'll ring his neck." Ash said angrily as she stood up.
Quickly the bunny grabbed the bear's hand, "Ash…please."
The girl calmed at the others' touch ang just held her hand back tightly. "Sorry." Sitting back down she continued to hold her hand. "I just…don't like seeing you hurt. Then it hurts me to see my friend in pain. Especially over some stupid guy."
"I know…but don't worry, ok? I'll be ok. I just…really wanted someone with me right now." Tori admitted.
"And you know I'll be here for you no matter what." Ash said softly. "I care for you Tori…you know this. I'll stay here with you for a few days and help you get back on your feet. Would that be ok?"
The bunny nodded. "If you're ok with that?"
"Of course I am." She then got an idea. "Tell you want, how about Chinese for dinner? We can get your favorite and chow down. Can't go wrong with that right?"
"Right…that does sound good." Tori smiled a small bit. "We can order it at the place down the street."
"Sounds good. Just tell me what you want." Ash said as she pulled out her phone.
The next few days Ash stayed over Tori's trailer. Making sure to help the girl get better as well as distract her from stuff that happened. She made her dinner now and then and spoiled her a bit while she was around. She was just helping her friend try to feel better and it seemed to be doing the job. She would sit and play games with her all the time too. It was honestly great to just see Tori smile and laugh again after the first day or so of her being so down.
Deep down Ash still had her feelings for Tori but knew better than to do something crazy when she literally just got her heart broken a week ago. The bear just wanted her friend to know that she was still loved and cared for…deep down she knew she could do better than that fucking jerk.
Anyway, the girls decided to have a day out. Tori hasn't gone out the last week, so Ash decided to treat her to a fun day out. So, they headed to the mall and had lunch there as well while they went around shopping. Ash even bought Tori a cute new plushie since she knew the bunny loved them.
After the mall, the two went to the movies and sat down to see something that would give them a good laugh. After the movie they went to have dinner at an Italian restaurant nearby.
"Thank you Ash, for taking me out today. I really needed it." Tori said after they had been seated.
"You're welcome. Believe me I know you needed it." Ash giggled.
Tori rolled her eyes. "Yea yea." She then reached across the table and put a hand on top of Ash's. "Seriously though, thank you. For this past week. It's made my healing process so much better with you around."
The bear smiled. "Don't sweat it. I'd be here for you no matter what. I've been treating you today. Dinner is on me, so order whatever you want."
"Oh Ash, you know I can't do that."
"I don't mind. I insist. Don't go easy."
Tori laughed. "Well ok, I won't fight you about it."
Nodding, Ash said, "After dinner we can go back to your place and play more of that block game we were playing earlier."
"Sounds good to me." The bunny agreed and looked at the menu.
After dinner, the two headed back to Tori's place and the two sat on the couch and played a game together. Ash decided to have some wine and Tori had a little bit as well. They eventually got done playing the game before they yawned.
"It's getting late. How about we head to bed?" Tori suggested.
Ash leaned her head against the bunny's shoulder. "But I'm comfy right here."
Tori chuckled. "I know but we would be comfier in bed."
"Can we at least cuddle?" The bear wondered as she definitely sounded tired.
"Yes we can."
Ash then got up on top of the bunny and straddled on her lap. Wrapping her arms around her and laying her head on the girl's shoulder. Tori wasn't expecting this but let it happen and just wrapped her arms around the bear. They sat like this for a bit. Honestly, Ash didn't know why she wanted to cuddle this way but Tori didn't complain so she just stayed where she was. Falling asleep as she sat there.
They sat there for a moment before Ash sighed softly and sat up. "I guess we should go to bed?"
Tori looked up at the bear with a soft gaze. "We should…but I kind of don't want to get up."
She looked down at her with a soft gaze in return. "Neither do I, honestly."
There was a moment of silence.
"Ash…can I tell you something?" Tori wondered as a nervousness was in her voice.
She tilted her head slightly, "Sure. What is it?"
Again, Tori took a pause before taking a breath. "I think…I actually do…have feelings for you."
Ash started to blush super hard from those words. "R-Really?"
Tori then started to blush as well and nodded. "Yea…I'm just…scared."
The bear looked at her sadly, "Because of your broken heart?" Tori nodded softly as she looked away. Ash grabbed the bunny's chin and had her look at her. "I promise you…I'd never break your heart like he did. I'd never hurt you like he did. You mean everything to me and your happiness is all I care about most in life besides my own."
The pink bunny started to cry from that. "I know that…I've been friends with you all these years…I know how you are. I knew how you felt about me but I was blinded by it. Honestly…I feel bad about not realizing it all till now."
"Hey, its ok." She held her face still. "What matters is the now, right?"
Tori nodded. "Ash…will you…be my girlfriend?" She asked as a blush ran across her face like mad.
Ash then had a bright blush appear on her face. She wasn't expecting that question at all. She didn't hesitate though when she answered. "Yes, I'd love to."
They both smiled and Ash leaned in to give the girl a small kiss on her lips. When she pulled away she giggled happily, "I've been dying to do that for a long time."
"Same…want to do it again?" Tori grinned.
"Gladly." The bear went in and kissed the bunny longer this time.
The two were like this for a while on the couch, just sharing small kisses back and forth to one another. Eventually they did go up and go to bed but this time Ash laid in Tori's bed with her and they cuddled there for a little bit as well.
Their kissing turned into a full blown make out after a short amount of time. Hands started to wonder as well as they continued.
The rest of their night was just a whole new experience for both of them at that point.
Nothing wrong with a small filler chapter plus i wanted to focus on Ash and Tori's relationship for this small part of the story. (Plus it is a comfort chapter for me)
