Deep in a cave far away from Show Town was Xquankly. He was sleeping soundly in his cave when he woke up to the sound of his rumbling stomach.
"What is it, stomach?" He asked. "Do you have a craving for... food?"
He searched his fridge and cupboards, but found nothing.
"Curses!" He exclaimed. "Now I must search the town to fill my stomach to cease the rumblings!"
He flew into Show Town as the residents slept. He flew to the top of the Town Hall and got a good view of the Show Town Food Vault, the vault of food that is provided throughout Show Town, whether it's to homeless shelters, supermarkets, corner stores, and so on.
"Perfect!" Xquankly chuckled to himself.
The Food Vault was guarded by Mr. Mxyzptlk, who was drinking coffee and reading the nightly newspaper. The head of the newspaper read "New Characters Coming to Show Town Soon!", and another section read "Retnuh Potentially Spotted Near Show Town!" Mr Mxyzptlk took a look at the picture of the soon-to-come characters.
"That is one strange-looking duck." He said.
Because Mr. Mxyzptlk was busy reading the paper, he didn't notice Xquankly sneaking into the food vault. Xquankly crept into the vault, and slowly closed it behind him.
"And now for my midnight snack!" Xquankly cackled to himself, while rubbing his hands together gleefully.
The first thing he ate was a cheeseburger. He ate the whole thing in one bite and listened to it fall into his stomach before belching.
"More!" Xquankly exclaimed. "I need more!"
After he ate an entire watermelon, three whole pizzas, thirteen chocolate bars, and fifteen cans of lemonade, Xquankly was the size of a hot air balloon and as heavy as a wrecking ball.
"I am satisfied." He said to himself. "Now to return home."
He tried to fly home, but his wings weren't strong enough. To his horror, he began to roll like a bowling ball. He rolled through the walls, across Show Town, and past an entire forest before he rolled back to his cave where his full belly causing him to fall asleep. Mr. Mxyzptlk came into the vault just as Xquankly was gone.
"What the-" He exclaimed.
