Episode 2B: By My Phoenix Feathers! - Part 2

Bastet continued to lay in her bed and look at the stars in her window. Outside her dorm, she heard voices. They were Catboy and Lynx.

"Lynx, why are you crying?" Catboy asked Lynx.

"B-Bastet yelled at me," Lynx answered, sniffling. Catboy gasped.

"Why would she yell at you? Did you make her mad?" Catboy inquired in a concerned tone.

"I-I don't want to talk about it..." Lynx replied slowly. "...I just want to go l-lay down..."

With that, Lynx ran off to her dorm. Bastet then heard a knock at her door.

"Bastet...I found Lynx crying...is everything okay?" Catboy inquired.

"Mew...come in..." Bastet replied.

Catboy opened her door and closed it behind him. He sat on the edge of Bastet's bed, but the Sun Cat still lied down.

"What happened, Bastet? I thought you were out reading with Owlette," Catboy stated. Bastet let out a meow and sighed before she replied.

"I came back to Power Q, because Owlette has a new best friend," Bastet replied, not turning to face Catboy.

"Really? Who?" Catboy asked curiously.

"A new bird girl named Phoenix," Bastet answered.

"There's a new bird girl? Well, what's so bad about that?" Catboy inquired further.

"Owlette rescheduled our reading night together, because Phoenix is a new hero and needs to be taught hero things," Bastet answered promptly. "On top of that, Lynx called me jealous when I told her all this, so I had to kick her out...I did not mean to make her cry, though."

"Ohhh, now I see why Lynx was crying..." Catboy said. "You know, you should go apologize to her, even if you aren't jealous of Phoenix. It's not nice to yell at people...you know that."

"Yes yes, I know," Bastet replied. She got up from her bed and looked at Catboy. "I'll go apologize."

Catboy smiled at that, and he followed Bastet out of her dorm towards Lynx's dorm.

Meanwhile, Owlette was teaching Phoenix how to do super swoops in the air near the museum.

"Take that, villains!" Owlette exclaimed. "Great job, Phoenix!"

"Thanks," Phoenix replied, flapping her cape to stay in the air. "My newfound skills are all thanks to you."

"Wait...where's Bastet?" Owlette asked, finally realizing that Bastet had left.

Phoenix shrugged, but both heroines were suddenly surprised when Romeo's Flying Factory flew above them.

"Hi, PJ Birdies!" Romeo mocked from the inside.

"Who's that!?" Phoenix asked Owlette, stunned.

Before Owlette could answer, Romeo used his Sucky-Sucker to suck both birds into the Flying Factory.

Bastet was in Lynx's dorm. The two cat girls were sitting on the edge of Lynx's bed. Catboy was standing in the doorway.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you...you were kind of right...I am kind of jealous of Phoenix," Bastet apologized.

"It's okay...I should really learn to watch my mouth before I speak, so I'm sorry too," Lynx replied, pulling Bastet into a hug.

"I love when you two get along!" Catboy exclaimed, making the two cat girls laugh.

Beep beep!

A beeping sound came from the orb above the meeting room. All the heroes were back from missions (except Owlette and Phoenix), so they gathered in their seats. The orb screen showed a live feed of Phoenix and Owlette trapped in a cage in the Flying Factory.

"By the claws of Cleopatra! Phoenix and Owlette, are you guys okay?" Bastet asked urgently, using her communicator.

"We need help! Romeo captured us, and he's planning to take our powers and use them to speed up his Flying Factory!" Owlette replied remotely.

"With my newfound bird power, I can boost my Flying Factory!" Bastet heard Romeo say.

"I'm scared! I just got my powers! I don't wanna lose them!" Phoenix exclaimed.

"Do not worry, I will save you with the help of Catboy and Lynx Cat," Bastet assured. "PJ Masks, all shout hooray..."

"PJ Cats, go save the day!" Catboy, Lynx, and Bastet declared as they jumped down the vehicle hatch into Cat Racer.

Meanwhile, in the Flying Factory, Romeo was laughing maniacally as he watched Robot insert gray pipes into Owlette and Phoenix's cage.

"This is it for me...so much for being a hero," Phoenix stated sadly, sitting down and burying her face in her knees.

"No it's not, Phoenix," Owlette replied. "Catboy, Lynx Cat, and Bastet will come save us."

"Who's Lynx Cat?" Phoenix asked blankly.

Owlette sighed. "Fluttering feathers...you have a lot to learn."

Both bird heroines looked at Romeo, who was working at his computer vigorously. Just then, the Cat Racer sped through the Sucky-Sucker pipe and ambushed Romeo and Robot.

"Ahhh! More PJ Pests!" Romeo yelped. Thinking quickly, the inventor boy held out a new ray gun and zapped the Cat Racer.

"W-What's going on? We can't get out! Mew!" Bastet hissed.

"That's the idea, Egyptian kitten girl. With my new seal ray, you can't escape your furball racecar," Romeo replied. "Now that that's done, I can continue with my primary plan."

After saying that, Romeo continued working at his computer to take Phoenix and Owlette's powers.

Owlette found a good chance to ask, "Bastet, why'd you leave us?"

"Well, I thought you didn't want to be my friend anymore...you had Phoenix, after all," Bastet mewed in reply.

"What? You'll always be my friend, Bastet! I just had to help a bird hero in need," Owlette explained. Phoenix nodded.

"I know...I guess I just took it too personally," Bastet said.

"You think?" Lynx asked Bastet in a sassy way. Instead of giving the yellow cat a glare, Bastet just chuckled.

"Now that we talked it out briefly, how do we get out of this?" Phoenix asked.

"I know. Let's use our powers to wear out the metal of this cage," Owlette whispered back. "Time to be a power hero."

Phoenix nodded, and the two bird heroines used their capes to shoot wind at the cage door.

"What are they doing?" Lynx asked, confused.

"I think they're trying to...wear away their cage," Catboy replied.

"What? I don't recall that being physically possible," Bastet meowed honestly.

"Super Bird Power!" Phoenix and Owlette called, making Romeo and Robot turn their way.

"What the-" Romeo began, but a loud metal breaking noise cut him off. Owlette and Phoenix flew in the air, free from their cage. Phoenix used what she learned from Owlette to swoop down and take Romeo's seal ray.

"Hey! Give that back, you scorched chicken!" Romeo yelled, making Catboy laugh.

"Not a feather-flapping chance," squawked Phoenix in reply. She aimed the seal ray at the Cat Racer and unsealed it, letting the cat heroes jump free.

"Uh oh! Robot, get them! Robot?" Romeo asked aloud when he noticed Robot was calling his "mommy" and running away like a coward. Romeo cowered down when all the heroes in the room posed to fight him.

"I'll be back, PJ Masks!" Romeo screamed angrily as he used his parachute to fly out of the Flying Factory's exit hatch.

After the heroes returned the Cat Racer to Earth, they met back up at the museum.

"I'm sorry for leaving you out and making you feel bad, Bastet," Phoenix apologized.

"It's okay, Phoenix. You're a new hero, and you needed the guidance from Owlette," Bastet replied with a smile. She hugged Phoenix for the first time.

"Well...PJ Masks Power Heroes, all shout hooray..." Catboy began.

"'Cause in the night, Phoenix and Owlette saved the day!" the heroes announced, making poses in the air.
