Hey, guys! Welcome to the new chapter of Avatar: The Blue Spectator Chronicles! I hope you guys will enjoy it...anyway, I don't own anything, except for my OCs as the OC Mako Yami belongs entirely to 9655.
NOW LET'S GET ON WITH THE STORY!
~{Intro}~
"Water."
A man wearing Nothern Water Tribe clothes weaves a stream of water from the ground as he twirls it around him before thrusting it to the side.
"Earth."
A man wearing Earth Kingdom attire kicks the ground, bringing up a large rock as he punched it to smithereens.
"Fire."
A woman wearing Fire Nation attire crouches down as she summons hot flames from under her feet, before leaping up as she did a spinning high-kick that spreads the fire around.
"Air."
A man, wearing Air Nomad clothing, lands on the ground gracefully and he then proceeds to make a circular motion with his hands and summons a gust of wind as he formed it into a ball, and throws it at the readers.
"Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony." Katara's voice was heard as we see a glimpse of each individual nation and people living in harmony. "But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked," Katara says as we see hundreds of Fire Nation ships invading other cities and burning them to the ground.
"Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them," Katara says as we see the Avatar standing on top of a pillar as he grinned, and his eyes glowed blue as he proceeds to perform multiple bending techniques at once. He started out by summoning a Tsunami, then splitting a mountain in half, generating giant torrents of fire by his hands and feet, and summoning an air sphere around him that levitated him off the ground. "But when the world needed him most...he vanished," Katara says as the Avatar suddenly vanished, and we fast forwards a hundred years later, where we see the decimation left by the Fire Nation as they burned everything sight without mercy, not caring who gets in their way as long as they achieve victory in the war.
"A hundred years have passed, and there was no sign of hope of the Firebenders ceasing their attack, but that all changed when my brother and I've discovered a boy who fell from the stars, an alien soldier named Naxon Ecojifan," Katara says as we see her past self, and Sokka looking up in shock as an unknown object fell down from the sky and crashed down as they investigated the crash site, and were surprised to see a wounded Naxon came out of his ship as he crashed down on the floor, and Katara look down at him worriedly while Sokka stared at him suspiciously.
"Naxon explained to us about the war going on his own planet Elysium, and how the Ventis, a race of hostile aliens led by the great and powerful General Tes'lar, effectively dominated them," Katara says as we cue to space, where we see General Tes'lar commanding his Ventis army to take down the Detanons, who tried to fight back but were quickly overwhelmed as they were forced to retreat.
"But the Detanons haven't lost hope as Naxon and his uncle formulated a plan to prepare a base for the Detonans on Earth. Once the base was constructed, Naxon and his people will reunite to end their war once and for all." Katara says as we see the Detanons retreating to a large tower and ran over to the escape pods while Naxon and Tarkal were formulating a plan. After agreeing with his uncle's plan, Naxon left for Planet CV-52, but not before giving one last somber look at his planet as he promised his people that he will come back and flew off.
"After explaining his backstory, we had agreed to help him and taken him in as one of our own. A few weeks after going on a fishing trip, my brother, my friend, and I have discovered the new Avatar, an Airbendender named Aang." Katara says as we see her past self, Sokka, and Naxon finding Aang trapped in an iceberg as his eyes and tattoos were glowing brightly. "And although his airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone," Katara says as we see Aang standing in a meadow with a grin on his face as he created an air sphere and jumped on it as he laughed and rolled across the meadow, but lost control as he crashed against a stone column and fell down.
"But luckily, he's not alone as Aang will get help from an old friend," Katara says as we see Aang standing on top of a mountain's peak, looking down at the four nations that he will be protecting as Aang feels a little bit nervous, but calms down as a blue glove was placed on his shoulder, and Aang looks up to see Naxon giving him a reassuring smile while wearing his Blue Spectator Armoras Aang smiled and grew determined as the Avatar and The Blue Spectator looks down at the four nations fearlessly, ready to face whatever danger comes their way.
~{Intro Over}~
{Book 1: Water-Chapter 5: The King Omashu}
"Naxon...Katara...Sokka...welcome...to the Earth Kingdom City of Omashu!" A beaming Aang exclaimed while spreading out his arms as we see Team Avatar-Spectator walking through the snow-covered patch of grass, and they were all able to reach the top of the hill with Appa and Momo following after their friends from behind as the Gang was shocked to see the entire pyramid structured city of Omashu. "I used to always come here to visit my friend Bumi." An excited Aang says as the Water Tribe Siblings were both impressed and overwhelmed by the City of Omashu while Naxon looks semi-impressed as he placed his hands in his pockets.
"Wow, we don't have buildings like this in the South Pole!"
"They have buildings here that actually don't melt!"
"Eh, I have seen bigger and better cities than this," Naxon says with a casual shrug as Momo flew over to land on his shoulders and reached up to rub the Winged Lemur's chin as an excited Aang began traveling down the hill.
"Well, let's go, slow pokes. The real fun's inside the city!" Aang exclaimed while leaping off the top of the hill with his Airbending as he landed a few meters below and in the snow as the Avatar started sliding down the hill.
"Wait, Aang!" Katara screamed while stretching her arm out to him, halting Aang with her cry as he turned to her confusedly. "It could be dangerous if people find out you're the Avatar."
"She is right. We don't want to pull another Kyoshi Island Incident." A concerned Naxon says as Aang flinches and lowered his head in defeat as he nodded.
"Indeed, you need a disguise," Sokka says, somewhat seriously, as Aang glanced up at them.
"So what am I supposed to do? Grow a mustache?" Aang asked with a slightly sarcastic tone as Naxon and the others shared a look before glancing over at Appa as they got an idea and grinned at each other mischievously as, a few minutes later, we see a deadpanned Aang wiggling his nose under, which now has a patch of Appa's fur that serves as a fake mustache as the Avatar was also wearing a tall wig made of the same material. "Ugh, this is so itchy." An irritated Aang says while scratching underneath his wig as he then turned to Appa. "How do you live in this stuff?!" Aang asked in exasperation as Appa slowly turns his head toward his Friend and snorts at him as if he was scoffing.
"Are you sure that this disguise will work?" Naxon says with a raised eyebrow and crossed arms as he and Sokka were sitting on a rock with Katara standing beside them as she had her arms crossed.
"Of course, it will work! I mean, just look at him! He kind of looks like Katara and I's Grandfather!"
"Well, Aang is technically 112 years old," Katara says with an amused smile as Aang perked up and nimbly kicks up his staff as he spins it rapidly around before placing it upright on the ground to be used as a walking stick as the Nomad hunches his back and leans heavily on his staff like an old person.
"Now, let's get to skippin', young whipper-snappers! The big city awaits!" Aang shouted with an old man's voice as he shuffles away, and Naxon, Sokka, and Katara shared a questioningly look with each other before shrugging as they followed after Aang and we see Team Avatar-Spectator walking down the long path to Omashu as the Group was nearing the gates.
"So, how is the City of Omashu, anyway?" Naxon asked curiously, trying to strike up a conversation with Aang, who beamed happily as he looks over his shoulder to glance at his Friend.
"Oh, you are going to love Omashu. You two as well, Sokka and Katara. The people here are the friendliest in the world."
"ROTTEN CABBAGES?!" A pissed-off scream rang out as the surprised Team Avatar-Spectator whirled around and spotted Three Earthbending Guards and a Cabbage Merchant with his cart standing near the closed gate. "What kind of slum do you think this is?!" The Guard asked harshly with a glare while squishing the cabbage that he was holding and knocking another two cabbages out of the merchant's hands as the Earthbender proceeds to Earthbend a rock under the cart, catapulting it high in the air, making it tumble down the chasm with all of the cabbages as the shocked and horrified Cabbage Merchant ran over to peer down the rim of the path.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! MY CABBAGES!" The Cabbage Merchant exclaimed dramatically while waving his arms in despair as the birth of one of Avatar's Best Running Gags has been born.
"The Friendliest People in the world, huh?" Naxon asked Aang with a blank tone and a sweatdrop as everyone had their mouths opened in shock by what just happened.
"Errrr, well, a lot can happen in a hundred years. Anyway, just keep smiling and follow my lead." Aang says to the others while broadly smiling, somewhat nervously as he walks over to the Earthbender Guards with Naxon and the others giving each other an uneasy look as Katara awkwardly flashes her teeth and chuckles uncomfortably while Sokka merely raises a doubtful eyebrow as Naxon sighs heavily as, after Aang approaches the Sentries at the gate, one of the Earthbender Guards steps to the front and raises a boulder out of the ground before the Avatar and levitates it above his head.
"State your business!" The Earthbender Guard exclaimed aggressively with a glare as Aang quickly runs from underneath the boulder and toward the guard as he halts right in front of the surprised man and began poking his chest.
"My business is my business, young man!" Aang screamed in his old man's voice as the Earthbender Guard accidentally dropped his boulder due to his lack of concentration, and it landed beside Naxon, Katara, and Sokka as they jump up slightly from the impact. "And none of yours!" Aang snapped at the Earthbender Guard, who was taken aback by the threateningly pointing finger just centimeters from his face. "I've got half a mind to..." Aang trailed off as Sokka's eyes and mouth were wide open in shock at Aang's audacity to talk to the sentry like that while Naxon snorted a bit and covered his mouth to try and stifle his chuckles as Katara shakes her head with eyes wide open in surprise. "...bend you over my knee and paddle your backside!"
"Settle down, old timer! Just tell me who you are!" The Earthbender Guard yelled in a calm tone as Aang smirked and pointed at himself and then at his Friends.
"Name's Bonzu Pippinpaddleopsicopolis...the Third!" Aang exclaimed, proud of himself for coming up with the fake name, as Sokka raises a questioning eyebrow while Katara and Naxon walks up with friendly smiles on their faces. "And these are my Grandkids," Aang says as the Earthbender Guard raised an eyebrow at him quizzically as he noticed all of the group's different colored skins.
"We are all adopted," Naxon added in as the Earthbender Guard nodded in understanding.
"Hi, I'm June Pippinpaddleopsicopolis and these are my Brothers, Rei and Kon June Pippinpaddleopsicopolis," Katara says while waving at him as Naxon was both shocked and impressed that the Waterbender was able to repeat that complicated name not once but twice as the Earthbender Guard pensively rubbed his beard while eying the three children before him as he then pointed at Katara.
"You seem like a responsible young lady. See that your grandfather stays out of trouble." The Earthbender Guard says as Katara nodded. "And you, you seem like a fine young man. Help your Grandfather walk." The Earth Bender Guard says to Naxon, who nodded as he went over to grab Aang's arm and pretended to help him walk. "Enjoy Omashu!" The Earth Bender Guard exclaimed as the guard steps aside and motioned at the city's entrance.
"Thank you, we will, sir," Naxon says with a respectful tone as he and the others started walking toward the gate with Sokka passing the guard with an uneasy look on his face, never letting the guard out of sight as the Earthbender Guard eyed him suspiciously and reached over to grab his shoulder.
"Wait a minute!" The Earthbender Guard shouted sternly as Sokka halts with his eyes widening in fear as Naxon and the others turned around to see what the holdup is. "...You're a strong young boy! And since your Brother is busy, show some respect for the elderly and carry your Grandfather's bag!" The Earthbender Guard yelled firmly as Sokka's eyes change from fright to disbelief and annoyance while Aang removes his shoulder bag.
"Good idea!" Aang screamed with a smile while throwing his bag at Sokka with said bag bouncing off his head to drop into his arms as the Water Tribe Boy shoots Aang an annoyed glare over his shoulder while Naxon and Katra laughed as the Team Avatar-Spectator resumes walking to the gate once more and stood before a big Earth Kingdom emblem on the wall before them as the giant earthen wall splits open in the middle of the emblem, opening up to let any passengers through as another Earth Guard opens up the gate walls and the first wall slides open, a second and third are bent aside as well as Naxon, Katara, and Sokka could be seen watching in awe at the spectacle while Aang is smiling behind them as they walk through it and the walls already start to move again to close right after them as the Main Earthbender Guard turned towards them stoically and was surprised to see Momo's ears popping out of his wig as his eyes widen in shock and tries to keep an eye on Aang as long as he can, but the Airbender is obscured from his view by the closing gates as the Earthbender Guard narrowed his eyes lightly.
"Whoa, okay, I have to admit, the city inside looks pretty cool." An amazed Naxon says as he and the others pull up at the parapet at the rim of a nearby chasm as all of the teenagers excitedly take in the city spread out before them as Aang walked up next to them with Momo's head now entirely popping out of his wig as the Avatar leans on the rim as well and joins the Trio in mouth open gazing at Omashu's scenery as the streets filled with people and they all spotted an intricate system of chutes as the aqueduct like structures are built over and beside the houses with typical green roofs.
"He, he, I'm glad you are loving Omashu so far, guys," Aang says with a smile as he then pointed over at the intricate system of chutes. "This is the Omashu Delivery System. Miles and miles of tubes and chutes." Aang says as Naxon and the others spotted Four Earthbenders standing beside a platform from where one Earthen Cart slides out of the picture, and another one filled with vegetables comes into view as the cart passed one Earthbender, who uses his bending to change the cart's directing and pushes it to the front from where another Earthbender bends it up a tube to two other Earthbenders standing at the ready to receive it and one Earthbender quickly bends stone lintels underneath the cart so it would not fall down again while the other one thrusts it off the platform as it slides down a chute at high speed. "Earthbending brings the packages up, and gravity brings them down."
"Great, so they get their mail on time." An unimpressed Sokka says as an annoyed Naxon elbowed him.
"Yeah, they do get their mail on time," An excited Aang says with a smile, oblivious to Sokka's sarcasm, as he then looked away while squinting his eyes mischievously as the Avatar grinned slyly. "But my friend Bumi found a better use for these chutes," Aang says as, after fast-forwarding in time, we see Team Avatar-Spectator sitting inside a mail cart that was planted on top of a large slope, and Aang and Naxon looked excited while the Water Tribe Siblings looked unsure and slightly frightened. "One ride. Then we're off to the North Pole. Airbender's honor." Aang says sincerely while raising one finger to emphasize his words as the cart rocked back and forth while creaking.
"Man, this is going to be so amazing if we survive this," Naxon says with a smirk as an uneasy Katara glanced at the Avatar.
"It sounded like fun at first, but now that I'm here, I'm starting to have second thhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttttttttttttttttttttttssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!" Katara says before shrieking in surprise as a grinning Aang leaned forward, tipping the balance of the box and sends it shooting down the slope at a tremendous speed as Aang and Naxon laughed happily while Momo held onto his Master's wig for dear life as he squinted his eyes due to the wind, Katara screamed in fear, and Sokka gritted his teeth in terror as the cart makes a turn, and follows it down the slope as the chute that Team Avatar-Spectator are riding pulls up next to a parallel one from where two carts could be seen as the first cart held a cheering teenage boy their age and another cart with a rack of six spears.
The Mysterious Teenager is a 12-year-old Boy with purple eyes, spikey black hair, a small nose, a sharp chin, Light Skin, a slim-toned build, and his outfit consists of a black haori with a white-yellow gradient pattern and red flame-like ridges at the end, a pale brown gakuran jacket underneath, a white belt around his waist with a pair of dual mini scythes strapped onto it, pale brown tattsuke-hakama pants, pale brown tabi socks, and a pair of pale brown kyahan with yellow flames erupting from the bottom-up. His name is Mako Yami, a Shadowbender.
"Huh?! Who is he!?" A shocked Sokka asked as he and the others glanced over at Mako, who turned to smile at them as Team Avatar-Spectator raced past the cart of spears as both tracks joined together with Mako riding in front of the group as Naxon and the others screamed in fright due to the cart of spears riding behind them, and it was catching up to them quickly as Sokka hears it coming and turn around as he gasps sharply and ducks just in time to avoid being skewered by the spears as Katara turns around, and screams in fear as she sees the weapons so close and Aang and Naxon looked worried for them as Mako spotted this and perked up.
"Don't worry! I got this!" Mako screamed while holding out his arms as he whirled them around rapidly and manipulated the shadows below them to face the two Earth Carts through their respective shadows and phased underneath the chutes as Naxon and the others started falling down through the air while screaming in exhilaration, shock, and fear as the Gang bounced off a roof of a house.
"Men, you'll be going off to combat soon." An Omashu Captain Guard says to a group of Omashu Soldiers with a stern expression on his face. "It's important that you be prepared for anything." The Omashu Captain Guard said just as Team Avatar-Spectator and Mako comes in riding on their respective Earth Carts between the Earth Warriors as the area around them freezes for a second, and it showed a grinning Aang briefly jumping out of the Earth Cart in his joy with Momo spreading out his wings and shrieking excitedly as a grunting Katara was accidentally kicked in the face by the Avatar, Naxon flashed the middle finger at the Omashu Guards with a big smirk on his face, Sokka had a comical shocked expression on his face, and Mako threw up peace signs.
"Whoa!" The Earth Warriors gasped in surprise as time resumed back to normal, and the Earth Carts ricochets off the ground as they continued moving and breaks through the railing closing off the other chute as Team Avatar-Spectator crosses the track while knocking over one of the Supply Earth Carts, spilling a load of pumpkins all over the ground as the knocked over Earth Cart lies on the track from where another incoming cart crashes into it as the Gang zoomed over to another chute and Mako realized that his Earth Cart was about to split off from Team Avatar-Spectator's Earth Cart as he stood up and jumped off while being able to land behind Sokka as his Earth Cart zooms off to another chute.
"Sup." Mako greeted casually just as Team Avatar-Spectator enters another chute and zooms down it as a surprised Naxon and the others turned to him.
"Who the hell are you?!"
"The name's Mako! How about we fully introduce ourselves to each other after we get off this thing?!" A smirking Mako exclaimed as the Group nodded, and Katara turned over to address the Avatar.
"Aang, do something! Use your Airbending!"
"Yeah! Good idea! That'll make us go even faster!"
"What?! No, wait-," A scared Katara says before being interrupted by an excited Aang as Airbends behind him, causing their Earth Cart to slide even faster as they passed by a restaurant from where a couple is eating together and they look up in surprise at the kids flashing by while the waiter dashes over to see what was going on as Team Avatar-Spectator then flies down an incredibly steep slope and it flattens out as the Kids cry out in alarm when they all noticed that they are moments from colliding with the motionless cart in front of an Earthbender Soldier, but thankfully, the Earthbender on duty at that station sends it on its way, briefly relieving the Naxon and the others in the speeding cart, only for another Earth Cart to instantly pop up from the tube below the Bender as the Riders screamed horror and shock just as the Kids' cart crashes into it, catapulting them and their cart into the air, high above a lower level of the city.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!" Naxon, Katara, and Sokka screamed panickedly as Aang reacted quickly and Airbends the cart in front of them as they all drop back into the Earth Cart, and Team Avatar-Spectator ride down several roofs, leaving damaged tiles in their wake as they crashed through a Craftsman's Home through the window, ricochets off the floor from where a vase is and smashed through it, making the Craftsman to wail in despair and disappointment as the Rides fly out the window opposite and the Craftsman peers out the ruined window in shock and anger as a dust cloud emerges, revealing that the Earth Cart has crashed against something else.
"Sorry!" Naxon and the others apologized to the Craftsman just as they landed on a balcony as the Gang slid through another house and emerged on the other side with a bearded cat chasing Momo around Aang's wig until the Winged Lemur pushes it off with an indignant huff as the Earth Cart smashes through a parapet and drops vertically out of sight as Naxon realized that he and his friends were about to crash down to their deaths as the Alien Teenager reacted quickly and reached into his pocket to pull out his glowing Blue Spectator Coin.
"It's Morphing Time!" Naxon exclaimed while raising his glowing Blue Spectator Coin as a blue glow covered his body, and once it dies down, we see the Blue Spectator free-falling in place as he summoned his Blue Trident and waved it around them, forming a large energy blue bubble shield around them as they crashed along the ground before the bubble broke apart as Blue Spectator and the others crashed down into the ground next to the Cabbage Merchant, who was standing near them with his Replacement Cabbage Cart parked near him and the Gang briefly wondered how he got his cart back, but then flinched in surprise as their Earth Cart crashed down against the Cabbage Cart, smashing into a billion pieces and scattering what intact cabbages are left all over.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! MY CABBAGES!" The Cabbage Merchant exclaimed while grasping his head in despair as he then turned to glare at the dazed group of teenagers. "YOU'RE ALL GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!" The Cabbage Merchant screamed angrily just as the Earth Guards showed up as they surrounded the group, and a sheepish Naxon took off his helmet while Aang sits up as his disguise was pretty much gone from the crash-landing.
"Uh...we come in peace/Two cabbages, please." Blue Spectator and the Avatar says worriedly as the Earth Guard and the Cabbage Merchant glared down at the boys. Twenty-Five Minutes Later, we see Team Avatar-Spectator and Mako arriving at the Palace of Omashu as they all have Earth Shackles around their arms and the Earth Guard walked up to the King of Omashu, who was sitting on his throne and is flanked by Two Earth Guards as the King of Omashu stared at all of the teenagers curiously and saw that Mako looks nervous, Sokka looks very uneasy, Katara slants her eyes up in an attempt to look sympathetic, Naxon looks ready to escape and fight (Who was still in his Blue Spectator Form but has his helmet taken off and in his arms) and glances to the side, and Aang looked away awkwardly as the King of Omashu stared at them questioningly while arching an eyebrow as he grunts in wonder.
The man is a 112-year-old Male with a green left eye as his right eye was fading gray, a bald hair with large shaggy white hair around the sides of his head, thick shaggy white eyebrows, a big pointy nose, a sharp chin with a white shaggy beard, Light Brown Skin, a short haunched muscularly toned slim build, and his outfit consists of a green crown with golden accents and a large silver horn planted on top, a long-sleeved dark green robe with dark brown pants and shoes underneath. His name is Bumi, the wild-eyed, eccentric, and elderly King of Omashu and an Earthbending Master as he is the most powerful Male Earthbender in the whole show...listen carefully, I said the most powerful MALE Earthbender in the show. We all know who is the most powerful Female Earthbender in the show. So if you all don't know, then you either only watched Book 1, or you are Fake Fans.
"Your majesty, these juveniles were arrested for vandalism, traveling under false pretenses, and malicious destruction of cabbages." The Earth Guard says with a glare as Team Avatar-Spectator and Mako were pushed into a kneeling position by Two Other Earth Guards.
"OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! ONE FOR EACH HEAD OF CABBAGE!" The Cabbage Merchant screamed furiously while jumping agitatedly up and down as he waved his left fist into the air in his anger.
"Geez, don't you think you're overreacting, dude?" An annoyed Mako says, voicing the others' thoughts as the Omashu Captain held up his hand to silence the Cabbage Merchant.
"Silence! Only the King can pass down judgment! What is your judgment, sire?" The Omashu Captain asked as Bumi squints his eyes and grunted pensively as he studied the Team Avatar-Spectator thoughtfully and saw that Mako remains stoic but was clearly fearful of what the King of Omashu would do to them, Sokka whimpered fearfully, a smiling Katara folded her hands in front of her with her eyes twinkling hopefully, Naxon's eyes moved back and forth anxiously as he was ready for a fight, and Aang who keeps staring at the side with an arched eyebrow and pouting as he whistled innocently and Bumi hummed lightly as he raised his hand.
"Throw them...a feast!" Bumi exclaimed with a laugh as the Omashu Guard gasped while the Cabbage Merchant grasped his head with both hands in dismay upon hearing the King's verdict as Sokka is smiling while Katara darts a questioningly look toward Aang, who arches his eyebrows in wonder as both Naxon and Mako shared a shocked look by this new development, but didn't complain about it either since they won't get killed as, after the Earth Guards shattered apart the Earth Shackles restraining them, we fast forwarding in time, and we see Team Avatar-Spectator sitting in front of a table that was filled with all sorts of different dishes and teapots as Momo eats a lot of the food, chittering contently as the King of Omashu can be seen standing behind their chairs.
"The people in my city have gotten fat from too many feasts," King Bumi says while leaning in over to Aang, Naxon, and Mako as he reached down to grab three chicken legs that are on his plate and held them in front of the bonus. "So I hope you all like your chicken with no skin."
"Thanks, but I don't eat meat," Aang says with a respectful tone.
"I prefer my chicken with skin," Mako added in as Naxon perked up.
"I would like some-Hey!" Naxon says before yelping in surprise as King Bumi proceeds to toss away the two extra pieces of chicken legs as he then turned to Sokka.
"How about you? I bet you like meat." King Bumi says with a smile as, before Sokka could react, he stuffs the chicken into the Water Tribe Boy's mouth, who eats it appreciatively as Bumi walks over to sit down in his own seat.
"Is it just me, or is this guy's crown a little crooked?" Katara whispered to the gang while raising her hand beside her temple as she turns circles with her index finger beside her temple, implying the King is crazy, which he admittedly is.
"Oh, he definitely is," Naxon says with a pout, still pissed off that he won't be able to eat the chicken leg.
"So tell me, you three, where are you from?" King Bumi asked while pointing over at Naxon, Mako, and Aang.
"Oh, uh, I'm from...the Southern Water Tribe?" Naxon lied with an awkward tone.
"I'm from the Earth Colonies near the Fire Nation." Mako lied as well as Aang rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"I'm from...Kangaroo Island!"
"Oh, Kangaroo Island, eh? I hear that place is really hopping!" King Bumi yelled with a laugh as a moment of silence occurs, and Aang and Katara gave the King of Omashi blank looks as Naxon, Sokka, and Mako suddenly bursts out laughing as their friends stared at him quizzically.
"What? It was pretty funny." Sokka says after he and the others stopped laughing as Naxon and Mako nod in agreement as King Bumi said nothing at first before lazily stretching his arms and yawned loudly.
"Well, all these good jokes are making me tired. Guess it's time to hit the hay." Bumi says while getting up from his chair as he turned around and seems like he was going to walk away, but then suddenly turned back to Team Avatar-Spectator with a fierce glare on his face as he hurls three chicken legs at the group, and it flies through the air as Naxon and the boys reacted instinctively as the Blue Spectator summoned his Trident and swung his weapon over to slice his chicken leg in half, Mako shoots up his arm and manipulated his shadow to create a shadow tendril as it flew over to snatch his chicken leg in mid-air, and Aang caught his chicken leg with a small airball as the Earth Guards gasped at this in shock.
"He, he, he, well, men, it looks like we have an Airbender and an Alien, but not just any Airbender and Alien, they are the Avatar and the Blue Spectator!" Bumi exclaimed, surprising Team Avatar-Spectator as they didn't expect him to figure out who their friends are that easily, especially for Naxon since he is supposed to be a secret to the world. "And we also have a Shadowbender to boot," Bumi says while eying Maki curiously as he then turned over to grin slyly at Aang and Naxon. "Now, what do you have to say for yourself, Bonzu Pippinpaddleopsicopolis the Third and Rei Pippinpaddleopsicopolis?" Bumi says with a snort and a laugh as Naxon and the others flinched and shared a concerned look, wondering how to go about this situation as Aang then give his friends a look that reads, 'Just play along with what I say' and stood up from his head as he threw up his hands into the air.
"Okay, you caught us. I'm the Avatar and my friend here is the Blue Spectator." Aang says as Naxon nodded while standing up from the table as he puts on his helmet. "We came here to check on the city of Omashu for any Firebenders, doing our Avatar and Blue Spectator thing, keeping the world safe."
"Yep, true." Blue Spectator says with a nod as he pretended to look underneath the table while Aang pretended to look around cluelessly. "Yep, everything checks out, so we will just be on our way."
"Yeah, good work, everybody," Aang says with an awkward smile as he and Naxon pulled up Katara, Sokka, and Mako into a hug. "Love each other, respect all life, and don't run with your spears," Aang says as the group started walking back to the exit.
"Well, see you guys another time." Blue Spectator says with a fake smile as he and the others were about to leave, but was stopped by the Earth Guards patrolling the exit as they crossed their spears, effectively blocking their paths as Team Avatar-Spectator realized their ruse didn't work and a more serious Naxon held out his Trident with a glare on his face. "Okay, I don't know how you know who I am, but if you think that we're going to let you take us to jail, then you got another thing coming!"
"Yeah, you can't keep us here! Let us leave!" Katara yelled accusingly as Bumi questioningly picks up a lettuce leaf from his plate and waves it in the air.
"Lettuce leaf?" Bumi asked while taking a bite out of a lettuce leaf and chewed it slowly as a concerned Sokka leans over to the others.
"We're in serious trouble. This guy is nuts."
"Tomorrow, the Avatar, the Blue Spectator, and the Shadowbender will face three deadly challenges, but for now, the Guards will show you to your chamber," Bumi says with a smirk as the Chamberlain leaned over to him.
"My liege, do you mean the good chamber or the bad chamber?" The Chamberlain says as an annoyed Bumi turned to him.
"The newly refurbished chamber."
"Wait, which one are we talking about?"
"The one that used to be the bad chamber, until the recent refurbishing, that is, of course, we've been calling it the new chamber, but we really should number them." Bumi explained with a shrug as he then turned to the Earth Guards standing behind Team Avatar-Spectator and Mako. "Anyway, take them to the refurbished chamber that was once bad, but before you do, take off that Alien Boy's Blue Spectator Coin on his stomach. It's the source of his powers." Bumi says as the Earth Guards nodded and reached over to grab the Blue Spectator Coin as he removed it, causing Naxon to transform back into his Normal Form with a flash of blue light.
"Hey!" An angry Naxon yelled as he tried to reach out to grab his Spectator Coin but failed to do so as the Earth Guard tossed it over to Bumi.
"Don't worry, Alien Boy, I will keep your Spectator Coin safe and sound," Bumi says with a wink while hiding the Spectator Coin inside of his robe as Naxon growled irritably but couldn't say anything as he and the others were led out of the room by the Earth Guards as they made their way into a hallway way and the guards cracked a wall and move it down with his Earthbending as the Second Earth Guard pushed Team Avatar-Spectator and Mako inside of the room roughly and the wall is immediately bent up again after them as Naxon and the others looked around and saw that there were five green bends in the center with three green drapes hanging from the ceiling above them as there was no doors or windows in sight.
"This is a prison cell? But it's so nice." Katara says as Aang turned to shrug at her while Momo flew over to land on the bed as he snuggles against a pillow.
"He did say it was newly refurbished." Aang pointed out as Sokka glared angrily.
"Nice or not, we're prisoners!"
"Yeah, he took my Spectator Coin so that we won't escape. We need to figure out a way to get out of here." Naxon says as Mako nodded and turned to Aang.
"You think that you can Earthbend a way out of here, Avatar?" Mako asked as Aang shakes his head with a frown.
"No, I haven't learned any Earthbending Techniques yet."
"Hey, wait, maybe you can use your Shadowbending to have us escape?" Katara asked hopefully as Mako frowned and shakes his head.
"I can't. There is hardly any light here to allow any shadows to form." Mako says as Katara's shoulders slumped in disappointment.
"I wonder what these challenges are gonna be," Aang says as a determined Naxon narrowed his eyes.
"We're not sticking around to find out. There's got to be some way out of here. I mean, there must be some kind of air vent in this place, or else we would all suffocate to death."
"You mean like that?" Aang asked while pointing over at a hole placed on the other side of the room as the Gang was briefly excited by the sight of it...until they figured out that the hole was way too small for any of them to fit through.
"If you think we're going to fit through there, you're crazier than that king," Sokka says sarcastically as Mako nodded with his arms crossed.
"Yeah, I have to agree with him. How is that going to help us?" Mako asked with a glare as Aang gave him a smug grin.
"Well, while we can't go through it, Momo can!" Aang shouted as he happily points over to Momo, who was lazily lying on the bed and licking a half-eaten apple as his belly protrudes from eating so much. "Momo, I need you to find Appa and bust us outta here!" Aang says with a hopeful tone as Momo turned to him in surprise while blinking and chittering softly as he had a look that reads, 'Dude, the fuck?! You want me to actually do shit!? I usually just fly around and look cute while you guys do all of the work!'.
"Aang, three things. First off, Momo is not small enough to fit through the hole. Second, even if he could, there are Earthbender Guards standing outside and can easily capture him. Third, even if Momo is able to escape the Earth Guards, I highly doubt that Appa will be able to help break us out. Even if he is a ten-ton flying bison, he's not smart enough to help find us." Naxon says with a deadpanned tone as Aang looks a bit discouraged and sighed heavily as Katara walked over to the Boys.
"Okay, since there is no point in trying to escape, let's all get some rest. You three needed it, especially for the challenges tomorrow," Katara says as the Boys nodded and reluctantly walked over to lie down on the bed as they all went to sleep.
"Avatar? Blue Spectator? Shadowbender? Wake up. It's time for your trails." The Earth Guard says with a glare after cracking the wall open with his Earthbending, and the crunching sound of the Earth being moved wakes up the Boys as they groaned and raise their heads as Aang, Naxon, and Mako were alarmed to see that Katara and Sokka had disappeared from sight.
"Sokka? Katara?" Aang asked worriedly as Naxon whirled around to glare at the Earth Guard.
"Where are our friends?!"
"The King will free them if you complete your challenges."
"And if we fail?" Mako asked with a glare as the Earth Guard shrugged.
"He didn't say. Anyway, your scythes and staff, please?" The Earth Guard says as the Boys glared at him and Mako took off his Dual Mini Scythes and tossed it over to him while Aang lifts his staff with his foot, grabs it, spins it around before placing it upright next to him as the Avatar then tossed it over to the Earth Guard. Nodding in satisfaction at this, the Earth Guards then leads the Boys into a large throne room as King Bumi can be seen standing in front of them while wearing a purple/white version of his old outfit as he gave the Trio a serious glare.
"First, Avatar, Blue Spectator, Shadowbender, I want to know...what do you think of my new outfit? I want your honest opinions." King Bunmi says with a lighthearted tone as Aang and Naxon stared at him blankly while Mako smiled.
"Nice, I love the purple color."
"Thanks. What about you two? I eagerly wait for your opinion." Bumi says to Aang and Naxon as they shared odd looks.
"I...guess it's fine," Aang says with a shrug while scratching the back of his head.
"I like your crown at least," Naxon says casually as Bumi laughed happily.
"Excellent! You three passed the first test!"
"Really?!" The Trio asked in shock as an upbeat Bumi shrugged.
"Well, not one of the deadly tests." King Bumi says while waving his finger from side to side, emphasizing his words. "The real challenges are much more, uh, challenging." King Bumi says as the Trio glared at this, and Aang reached out to grab Naxon and Mako by the front of his shirts as he suddenly dashed them forward to the surprise of the Two Earth Guards while using his Airbending to enhance his speed as Aang flashed stepped them all over to appear in front of King Bumi, who was unfazed by this as the wind passing over them.
"We don't have time for your crazy games!" An aggressive Aang yelled as Naxon nodded with a fierce glare on his face.
"Yeah, give me back my Blue Spectator Coin and our friends now because we're leaving!"
"Oh, I thought you might refuse," King Bumi says with a sly grin as the wall beside them opened up, revealing Katara and Sokka struggling in the grasp of a guard as the Trio turned to them in surprise. "So I will give your friends some special souvenirs," Bumi says just as an Earth Guard slides a green ring over a frightened Katara's finger as, the moment the guard retracts his hand, the ring glows and tightens around her finger as Sokka got one as well with his ring being blue and was frantically trying to remove it from his finger as Katara tries to pull it off as well, but both are unsuccessful.
"Those delightful rings are made of pure jennamite, also known as creeping crystal. It's a crystal that grows remarkably fast." Bumi says with a sinister grin on his face. "By nightfall, your friends will be completely covered in it. Terrible thing, really." King Bumi says, looking slightly sympathetic as he then grows serious. "I can stop it, but only if you cooperate." King Bumi says while turning his head over at the Water Tribe Siblings as Sokka's blue jennamite ring glows and expands toward his hand as the Trio panicked before composing themselves as they turned over to glare at the King of Omashu.
"Alright, we will do what you want," Mako says as Bumi grinned evilly while reaching into his robe to pull out the Blue Spectator Coin as he flipped it over to a surprised Naxon.
"Then transform and follow me."
~[Challenge #1]~
Twenty Minutes Later, we see Aang, Naxon (Who had transformed into his Blue Spectator Form earlier), and Mako standing on a flat rock in a small cave filled with stalagmites and stalactites as a waterfall was placed in front of them and there was a ladder placed inside of it with a key hanging around on a metal chain above the ladder as Sokka, Katara, and Bumi could be seen standing on a balcony cut into the wall to the left of the waterfall as the King of Omashu laughed loudly while looking over the balcony rim as the Water Tribe Siblings are guarded behind him with their jennamite rings have already expanded to engulf part of their right forearm as they glowed a bit and creeps a bit further on the arms of Sokka and Katara as Bumi glanced down at the Trio.
"It seems that I've lost my lunch box key and I'm hungry. Ooh, there it is." Bumi says while pointing over at his lunch box key that is being hanged on the metal chain inside of the waterfall. "Would you three mind working together on fetching it for me?" King Bumi asked with a fake sweet smile as the Trio shared a look and nodded as Aang went first, and he was able to Airbend himself to the base of the fall as the Avatar plunges into the waterfall and, while he manages to climb up the rock face to the base of the ladder, Aang couldn't go any further due to the torrent of water pushing him away and out as the panting Monk rests a moment between two stalagmites.
"Ooh, climbing the ladder. No one's thought of that before." King Bumi says sarcastically while rolling his eyes as a glaring Mako raised his arms and thrusted them forward, creating a large shadow tendril that flew through the air and burst through the waterfall as the Shadowbender tried to grab the lunch box key but due to the torrent of the water, his shadow construct broke apart. "He, he, nice try, but I don't think that you will be powerful enough to finish this challenge alone." King Bumi says with a grin as Blue Spectator summoned his Blue Trident and twirled it around rapidly before slamming it down into the ground, creating an energy shockwave that propelled him forward as Naxon dives into the fall above the key and tries to grab it, but instead, the Alien Teenager falls with the water as the rush of the water carries him down and was sent flying away as he crashed into a couple of stalagmites with a surprised grunt.
"That's right! Keep diving head in individually! I'm sure it'll work eventually!" King Bumi yelled with a mocking tone as the Trio glared over at him, but then perked up as they heard what the King of Omashu said and shared a thoughtful look as Naxon and the others got an idea and shared a nod as the Blue Spectator summoned his Blue Trident and threw it up into the air as Mako threw up his arms and summoned a large shadow tendril that flew up to grab the Spectator's Weapon and twirled it around rapidly before tossing it forward as Aang accelerated the speed of the weapon with his Airbending and the Spectator Trident flew over to snag the metal chain suspending the key, and carries it out of the waterfall as the Blue Trident pierces the stone wall above the King's balcony with the key now dangling right in front of a surprised and satisfied Bumi.
"There! Enjoy your lunch! We want our friends back now!" Aang yelled with a glare as Naxon and Mako nodded as Bumi grinned slyly and shales his head.
"Ah, not yet. I need help with another matter. It seems I've lost my pet, Flopsie."
~[Challenge #2]~
"Okay, we found him!" Aang says with a smile as we see him, Naxon, and Mako landing in front of a lop-eared bunny in a large sunken enclosure in a new room as Bumi, Katara, and Sokka were standing on the balcony above.
"And she is adorable!" Blue Spectator cooed while glancing down at the Bunny as it was a 1-feet-tall, 20-year-old Female Bunny with blue eyes and black marks around it, long floppy white ears that flop down into the ground, a pink nose, two buck white teeth, four-fingered white-furred arms with pink paws, White Fur with black spots on his ears/back/stomach, a bunny-like build, large four-toed white-furred arms with pink paws, and a cottontail.
"Bring him to me. Daddy wants a kiss from Flopsie." Bumi says as Mako looks weirded out by what he said.
"Come here, Flopsie." Aang says with a smile as he tried to go over to Flopsie, but then something large and dangerous drops down behind the Trio, startling them, as they whirled around and were shocked to see a large Goat Gorilla standing before them as he had a gorilla's face and body with a goat's hind legs/tail/horns, and a rabbit's ears as he was extremely large with big green eyes and enormous teeth.
"Oh, shit!" A shocked Blue Spectator exclaimed as the Bunny squealed with terror and turned around to bolt across the arena with Aang, Blue Spectator, and Mako in hot pursuit of her until the Bunny goes inside a small hole as Aang tried to put his arm in the hole up to the shoulder trying to grab hold of the frightened Rabbit, but then the light dawns on his face as a look of realization flashed in his face.
"Wait..." Aang trailed off as he turned around and spotted the snarling Goat Gorilla bounding toward the Trio, but instead of looking scared, an unfazed Aang stood up from the floor. "...Flopsie?" Aang asked with a wince as the now-named Flopsie skidded to a stop and reached over to grab the Avatar as he picks him up and licks his face.
"Hold on, that's Flopsie?" A bewildered Mako asked as Aang nodded before Flopsie started walking them forward due to the King of Omashu whistling for his pet to come back as Mako was about to follow after them but stopped as he noticed that Naxon bends down and hovered his face in front of the hole.
"Hey, come on out, girl. Don't worry. Flopsie is gone. You're no longer in danger." Blue Spectator says with a soothing tone as the scared Bunny poked his head out and looked around worriedly as Naxon held out his hands with a warm smile on his face as the Bunny got relaxed by this and ran over to jump into his hands as the Alien Teenager rubbed her back and Mako gave him a sly grin as Naxon spots this and gave him a confused look. "What?"
"Oh, nothing, I just find you holding a Bunny adorable."
"Shut up." Blue Spectator says with an annoyed tone as the Boys then turned around and followed after Aang, who was dropped down onto the balcony by Flopsie as he made his way over to roll onto his back, offering his belly to Bumi as his Master immediately bends down to began rubbing it.
"Oh, that's a good boy. Yes, who has a soft belly?" Bumi says with a baby-like tone as Blue Spectator and Mako jumped up to land on the balcony as they and Aang turned over to where the Water Tribe Siblings were as Katara and Sokka now had the crystal cases covering them up to their shoulders.
"Guys, are you okay?"
"Other than the crystals slowly encasing my entire body, doing great," Katara says with a dry tone as, at that moment, a crystal grows on one side of Sokka's body, making him become unbalanced and fall as Mako laughed at this.
"Hey, Bumi! Do you mind if I keep the Bunny?" Blue Spectator asked hopefully as Bumi shrugged.
"Sure, he's not my pet anyway."
"Nice." Blue Spectator says with a grin while allowing the Bunny to climb up to his shoulder as she nuzzled against his neck.
"Are you seriously keeping the Bunny? Not that we're complaining, she's adorable." Katara cooed as the others nodded in agreement.
"Sure, I mean, Aang has two pets, so I get to have one, but I don't know what to name her yet." Blue Spectator says with a thoughtful hum as Mako turned to him.
"How about Fluffy?" Mako asked curiously as Naxon scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"Oh, please, like she ever wants a stupid name like-," Blue Spectator says before being cut off by the Bunny looking excited by her new name as she nodded eagerly. "...Alright, Fluffy, it is then."
"Ha, ha knew it, you big softie," Mako says with an amused tone as Blue Spectator rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah."
"But seriously, dude, some or many women find that attractive in a man," Mako says with a serious tone as Naxon nodded.
"Good to know, but I doubt that any woman wants to date an alien freak like me." Blue Spectator says with a sad pout as, somewhere in the Fire Colonies, an acrobatic girl sneezed a bit while doing a cartwheel.
"Alright, King, we're ready for the next challenge," Aang says as Bumi stopped rubbing Flopsie's belly to turn and gives him an evil laugh as the Gang was a bit unnerved by what he is doing.
~[Challenge #3]~
"Your final test is a duel." King Bumi says as we see him, Aang, Blue Spectator, and Mako standing on a balcony overlooking a huge Earthbending Arena with the Water Tribe Siblings and Fluffy standing alongside an Earth Guard on an adjacent balcony as the crystals are past Katara and Sokka's heads, leaving their faces exposed. "And as a special treat, you may all choose your opponent." King Bumi says while gesturing at the two tough-looking men standing next to their King as the Trio looks uncertain and concerned by this. "But I will say this, all of you have to decide on which opponent you want to face." King Bumi says as Aang, Naxon, and Mako shared a look, getting an idea as they glanced back over at the Earthbending Master.
"So...you're saying that we all have to decide on who we have to face, right?" Aang started.
"Whoever we point to, that's the person we get to fight?" Blue Spectator continued.
"And there are no takebacks?" Mako finished as Bumi grinned mischievously and nodded.
"Yes, now choose wisely." King Bumi says as the Trio shared a look and grinned slyly as they nodded.
"Alright...we chose...you!" Aang, Naxon, and Mako exclaimed while pointing over at the King of Omashu, who laughed manically as he shakes his head.
"Wrong choice!" King Bumi exclaimed as he straightens up and removes his outer robe, proving himself to be a powerfully built old man, as he then Earthbends the Trio off the balcony, making a screaming Aang, Blue Spectator, and Mako flying into the arena as they crashed down into the ground and groaned in pain as the King of Omashu jumps down right in front of the Trio with a sinister grin on his face.
"You thought I was a frail old man, but I'm the most powerful Earthbender you'll ever see!" King Bumi exclaimed with a laugh as, somewhere in the Earth Kingdom, a blind girl sneezed loudly and suddenly felt the angry urge to kick someone in the balls as she made her way towards her Earthbending Teacher.
"...Can we fight the guy with the axe instead?" A nervous Aang asked with Naxon and Mako looking hopeful as well as Bumi shakes his head with a cunning grin on his face.
"Ah, ah, ah, as I said to the Shadowbender earlier, there are no take-backsies in my kingdom. Also, you two might need these." Bumi says while pointing over at an Earth Guard standing near Katara, Sokka, and Fluffy as said person tossed Aang and Mako their respective weapons. "Anyway...CHALLENGE BEGINS NOW!" Bumi exclaimed while bending three boulders at the Trio as a glaring Blue Spectator reacted quickly and summoned his Blue Trident as he used his Super Strength to swing his weapon forward and broke apart one of the boulders as Aang used his Airbending to avoid the second boulder and Mako swiftly lifted up his scythes as he created a large shadow tendril that flew over to trap around the third boulder and flung it back towards Bumi, who said nothing but raise his hand as he was able to shatter the boulder apart.
"Good job, Spectator. And good job as well, Shadowbender, but Avatar? Poor sportsmanship. I mean, seriously, avoiding and evading? Typical Airbender Tactic. I hoped the Avatar would be less predictable." King Bumi says while raising his leg as he proceeds to stomp on the ground, creating a big Earthquake in front of him as Aang quickly activated his glider and took off into the air with his Airbending while Mako jumped out of the way as a glaring Blue Spectator stood on the ground and lifted up his weapon as he proceeds to slam it down into the ground, creating a big blue energy shockwave that destroyed the incoming Earthquake.
"Ah, energy manipulation? Basic abilities, Spectator. Come on, don't you have any surprises for me? Any new abilities?" Bumi asked while moving his head forward as he manipulated the roof above Aang to shoot out in a long rectangular formation, and it impacted against the flying surprised Airbender as he flew down and crashed on top of a surprised Blue Spectator with a few rocks falling down on top of them and leaves the Duo flat atop a large rock pile. "A shadow tendril, huh?" King Bumi asked amusedly while suddenly dodging to the right to avoid being attacked by a shadow tendril by a shocked Mako as he had his dual mini scythes held out. "Pretty boring for a Shadow Bender! Come on! You'll have to be a little more creative than that!" Bumi exclaimed while thrusting his hand forward and breaking apart the ground the Shadowbender was standing on as Mako got flipped around and crashed down into the cracked ground with a yelp of pain.
"Come on, is this the best that all of you can do? It's 3 on 1, and yet you all weren't able to lay a single finger on me." King Bumi says with a cocky smirk as the Boys glared at this, and Aang quickly bends an Air Scooter as he charges forward with Blue Spectator following after him with his super speed as the Duo fired dual air/energy shockwaves at the King of Omashu, who merely bent the ground below him to suck him inside to avoid Blue Spectator's attack as he popped up back shortly after a few feet forward and nonchalantly throws up a stone barrier as the Airwave deflects to both sides of it. "A little bit better, but still, none of you will be able to defeat me so straightforwardly-,"
"You talk too much!" A smirking Mako shouted while raising his dual mini scythes and moved them around repeatedly as he created multiple shadow shackles that flew over to attack themselves onto a surprised Bumi's limbs, and the Shadowbender was able to hold him up into the air. "Guys! Now!" Mako ordered as the Boys nodded with big grins on their faces as Blue Spectator covered his Trident with blue energy and used his Super Strength to toss it forward as Aang accelerated its speed with his Airbending as the Glowing Spectator Weapon flew over to collide against the Earthbending Master's chest and caused a huge explosion to occur that sends him flying over as Bumi crashed down into the ground.
"How was that, Old Man?" Blue Spectator asked with a taunting smirk as Bumi got up from the ground and rubbed his burnt chest with a little grin on his face.
"Alright, that was good, I admit it, but I'm still standing, aren't I? You still haven't won the challenge." Bumi says with a laugh as the Trio glared at him and charges forward at high speed, but the King of Omashu used his Earthbending to soften the arena floor, leaving the Trio sunk into the ground by their waists as Bumi then bends two nearby stones to collide on the spot but Mako reacted quickly by raising his dual mini scythes and manipulating the shadow around him to form a portal underneath them as the Trio fall down through it and disappeared from sight just as the stones collided against each other and shattered apart.
"Hmmm?" Bumi says with a thoughtful look as the shadow in front of him suddenly grew into a large circle, and the Trio flew out of it with Blue Spectator in front of him as he let out a loud battle cry and swung his Blue Trident forward, but instead of sending an energy blast, Naxon instead sends out a big powerful gust of wind that flew over to collide against Bumi, who didn't expect him to do this as he reflexively raised an Earth Barrier in front of him that protected him from the attack.
"What the hell!?" A shocked Blue Spectator exclaimed while glancing down at his Trident, wondering how the hell he was able to bend as Aang and the others looked stunned by this as well as, while they were distracted, King Bumi decided to deliver his final attack and skidded his feet across the ground as he moved his hands forward, cracking the floors and walls of the arena as the King of Omashu tore out a huge chunk of the wall and balcony that they had been standing on.
Seeing what is coming, Aang gasps and snaps out of his shock as he begins running around in tight circles, conjuring a large and powerful tornado as, when the King of Omashu flings the huge piece of rock forward, it is caught in the tornado and a glaring Aang instantly whips it around right back to Bumi, who was admittedly shocked by this and quickly bends the huge chunk of rock into sand before it can smash him, but before he can recover, a shadow portal appeared in front of him as a roaring Blue Spectator flew out and landed on the ground as he twirled his glowing blue Trident and thrusted it forward as it collided against Bumi's chest, creating a big blue shockwave that blew him back as the Earthbending Master crashed against a wall and groaned in pain as the Avater, Blue Spectator, and Shadowbender ran over to stand before the King of Omashu while standing in battle poises as he raised his head and smirked at him as the Boys were confused by this briefly before a few small pebbles strikes their heads, drawing the Boys' attention as they glanced up and was shocked to see a large boulder suspended over them.
"Heh, well done, Avatar, Blue Spectator. and Shadowbender. You three fight with much fire in your hearts." Bumi says while tilting his head and tossing the boulder aside as he then bends himself up to the balcony from where the two siblings are almost completely encased, and the Trio jumped up after him. "You've all passed all my tests, but now, Avatar, you must answer one question."
"That's not fair! You said you would release our friends if we finished your tests!"
"Yeah, what gives?!" An angry Blue Spectator asked, agreeing with Aang as Bumi shrugs.
"Oh, but what's the point of tests if you don't learn anything?"
"He does make a good point," Mako says with a shrug as Aang and Naxon sighed heavily.
"Alright, fine, what's the question?" Blue Spectator says while reaching up to take off his helmet as Fluffy perked up and ran over to jump onto him as she climbed up to rest on his shoulder.
"Well, lucky for you all, only the Avatar knows the answer to this, so he is the only one that should answer, and if the answer is correct, I will set your friends free."
"What is it?" Aang asked impatiently as Bumi grinned at him cheekily.
"What...is my name?" King Bumi asked, surprising everyone as they shared anxious looks. "From the looks of your Friends, I'd say you only have a few minutes." King Bumi says while turning around as he walked away with the Earth Guards.
"How am I supposed to know his name? I had never met him until now." An anxious Aang says.
"Think about the challenges. Maybe it's some kind of riddle." Katara pointed out as Sokka perked up.
"I got it!" Sokka exclaimed as everyone turned to him. "He's an Earthbender, right? So his name should be Rocky!"
"..."
"You know, because of all the rocks."
"...Sokka? How about you be quiet?" A blank-faced Blue Spectator suggested just as the crystal glowed as it grew to cover his mouth. "Thank you, Universe."
"Anyway, Aang, think about this, all of the past challenges helped us out in the final challenge, so maybe you can find a clue," Mako says as Aang nodded while placing his hand on his chin thoughtfully.
"Okay, so back to the challenges, we got a key from the waterfall, we saved his pet, and we had a duel."
"And what did you learn?" Katara asked as Naxon hummed.
"Well, everything was different than we expected."
"And?" Katara asked anxiously as the jennamite grows as she talks with anxiety.
"Well, they weren't straightforward," Mako added in as Aang nodded while snapping his fingers.
"Yeah, to solve each test, we had to think differently than we usually would like a mad...wait, I know his name." A beaming Aang says as everyone perked up.
"I solved the question the same way that my Friends and I solved the challenges," Aang says as we fast forward and we see Team Avatar-Spectator and Mako standing in the Throne Room as a stoic King Bumi stood in front of the Avatar. "As you said a long time ago, I had to open my brain to the possibilities," Aang says wisely as King Bumi did nothing at first before he started laughing loudly while snorting as Aang stared at him with tears of joy in his eyes as he smiled happily. "Bumi, you're a mad genius!" Aang exclaimed while running over to hug Bumi, who hugged him back as he had tears in his eyes as well.
"Oh, Aang, it's good to see you. You haven't changed a bit. Literally."
"Awww, this is nice," Naxon says with a smile while standing next to Mako in his Civilian Form as Fluffy laid on top of his head.
"Uh, over here!/Little help?!" The Water Tribe Siblings yelled worriedly while being almost completely covered in the green/blue crystals with only their eyes and mouth exposed as Bumi separated from Aang and wiped away his tears as he then raised his arm and clenched his fist as the King of Omashu easily broke apart the crystals with his Earthbending, making pieces fly everywhere as he catches one of them.
"Jennamite is made of rock candy. It's pretty delicious." Bumi says while taking a bite out of the crystal.
"I can't believe that this Crazy King is your old friend Bumi," Katara says as Bumi glared at her furiously.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING OLD, MISSY?!"
"!"
"...Okay, I'm old," Bumi says with a snort and a laugh as Naxon and the others laughed.
"So, why did you do all of this instead of just telling Aang who you were?" Sokka asked curiously while crossing his arms as Bumi calmed down and shrugged.
"First of all, it's pretty fun messing with people, but I do have a reason." King Bumi says while turning to face Aang and Naxon as he stood up straight and gave them a dead serious look. "Aang, you have a difficult task ahead. The world has changed in the hundred years that you've been gone. It's the duty of the Avatar to restore balance to the world by defeating Fire Lord Ozai. You have much to learn. You must master the five elements and confront the Fire Lord, and when you do, I hope you will think like a mad genius." Bumi says with a wink as Aang nodded while feeling a bit overwhelmed as his Friend saw this and gave him a reassuring look. "But don't worry, because I'm sure that your friend, the Blue Spectator, will help you out."
"Speaking off, I have to know, how did you know who I am? Or what an Alien is?" Naxon asked with a raised eyebrow and crossed arms as Bumi smirked and shrugged.
"He, he, let's just say that I have Friends in high places who gave me some interesting information. Unfortunately, I don't know the full relationship between the Avatar and the Blue Spectator, but I do know that ever since the first Avatar was born, there was always a Blue Spectator who joined him on his journey to spread peace and harmony across the world."
"Wait, what? Seriously? Then why haven't we ever heard of a Blue Spectator until now?" Katara asked as Bumi shakes his head.
"That I do not know, but what I do know is that the Avatar and Blue Spectator are connected spiritually and are bonded throughout the cosmos to serve as partners against injustice. It's how you were able to Airbend, Naxon, thanks to your connection with Aang. When he learns an Element, you will be able to use the Element as well." King Bumi says as everyone gasped in shock.
"Whoa, no fooling!" A surprised Naxon says as Bumi nodded.
"Yes, it's why I had you join Aang in the challenge. In order for both of you to defeat the Fire Lord, both of you need to be at full power when you do, and I know from personal experience that the only way to bring out hidden potential is by experience in battle."
"But why did you include me?" Mako asked as Bumi grinned at him and chuckled.
"Both because I haven't fought a Shadowbender in ages, and I want Aang's friends to be at their strongest to help support them when you all confront the Fire Lord. I didn't add you two because you haven't mastered the basics in Waterbending, and you...well, you don't have any Bending Powers." King Bumi says to the Water Tribe Siblings sheepishly as Katara nodded in understanding while Sokka pouts as Momo and Fluffy purr a bit. "Oh, and you will also need Momo and Fluffy too," Bumi says as Team Avatar-Spectator nodded and Aang bowed to his old friend.
"Thank you for your wisdom and guidance, Bumi, but before we leave, I have a challenge for you," Aang says with a mischievous grin as Bumi raised an intrigued eyebrow, and, 20 Minutes Later, we see a laughing Aang and Bumi riding down the mail system as they suddenly crashed against something.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! MY CABBAGES!" A Cabbage Merchant screamed in anguish and sorrow as we fast forward in time and cue to nighttime as we see Team Avatar-Spectator already making their way out of the City of Omashu, and they were all walking straight towards where Appa was resting in.
"Well, this was a crazy adventure, huh?" Sokka pointed out as the others nodded.
"Yep, I was able to meet up with my old 112-year-old Friend and learn to think more creatively and outside the box during battle," Aang stated.
"And we nearly died by dangerous yet delicious Rock Candy," Katara says while taking a bite out of the Rock Candy that Bumi gave them with the rest of their new supplies.
"And I learned that my Blue Spectator Coin allows me to have the ability to bend all of the Elements. Speaking off, hey, Aang? Do you mind teaching me your Airbending Moves?" Naxon asked hopefully as Aang perked up eagerly.
"Oh, yes, it will be great to teach someone else Airbending!" An excited Aang says as Naxon smiled and was about to say something, but then everyone flinched in surprise when they spotted a Wolf gnawing on some meat near them before he spotted the group and growled at them. The Wolf is a 5-feet-tall, 10-year-old Male Wolf with black eyes that have a golden sclera, large white ears with black innards, a black nose, a nuzzle with a row of white sharp teeth, long white furry four-fingered paws, White Fur, a wolf-like build, a long white furry tail, and long white furry four-toed legs. His name is Okami.
"Oh, that's not good."
"We've been spotted."
"We're toast."
"What do we do?" Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Naxon said to themselves worriedly as Okami growled at them and was about to stalk over to attack them, but then-
"I've got this." A familiar voice says as everyone turned their heads and were surprised to see Mako appearing on the scene as he glared at the wolf seriously. "Take a seat, furball," Mako ordered as Okami obediently sits down.
"Whoa, how'd you do that?"
"I'm a Shadowbender, booyah," Mako says with a grin as Sokka and the others give him a bewildered look. "Ha, ha, but no, seriously, that Wolf is my pet. I call him Okami."
"Oh, well, he's lovely," Katara says with an anxious tone as Naxon turned to him curiously.
"So what are you doing here, dude?" Naxon asked as Mako took a deep breath and turned to his friends.
"Alright, look, so you all remembered when we first met? Well, that wasn't a coincidence because when you all arrived at Omashu, I immediately recognized who you all were. Your disguises were terrible." Mako says blankly as Aang and the others shared sheepish looks. "But the reason that I wanted to talk to you all is because I know what you're all planning to do, and I want to help. The Fire Nation imprisoned my Parents when I was young, and I want to help liberate not only them but the rest of the world as well." Mako says as Naxon and the others shared shocked and sympathetic looks. "So, what do you say? Can I join?" Mako asked nervously and hopefully, as the Group shared a look and smiled warmly as the Teenagers all turned to him and Sokka stepped up.
"Well, Mako, welcome to Team Avatar-Spectator!"
And done! I hope that you guys enjoy the chapter, and I can't wait to write the next one! Anyway, my friend named his OC, Maro, to honor Iroh's first late voice actor, Makoto Iwamatsu, memory and here's the Voice Actor for the OC:
Mako Yami's Voice Actor: Mark Whitten, specifically the character Rengoku from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Anyway, as always, I will catch you all later.
