Authors note: Hey guys, sorry about the wait in between the last chapter and this one I've been recovering from severe food poisoning :(. but I'm good now, so on with the show right and hooray its back to Ruby for the foreseeable future. Also, I wanna clarify something here, Wiess doesn't have the Yamato, at least not yet. Vergil or V, sorry, doesn't think she's worthy of his blade yet (completely within his character, Vergil really dosent like anyone having his sword but him, poor nero), unlike Dante who veiws Ruby as a mini him and wants her to have everything she needs to be better than him, but needs her to grow up a little like he did. Wiess does, however, have a modified version of Myrtenaster, one which fires dust bullets as she is unable to use dust without aura, think of it like putting a rapier blade on blue rose from nero's arsenal :p

Comments:

Ranjira1988: Yeah Ruby and Dante combined kinda fit a little too well tbh, with Ruby's love for weapons and doing the right thing and Dante's experience with going up against impossible odds and chuckling all the while, it makes a potent combo, and Cinder shouldnt be counted out just yet, she's still incredibly dangerous just yknow kinda gets curb stomped by our currently really durable Ruby, she will however get a better fight later ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡), and you'll just have to wait to see how Wiess and Vergil will be handled as even I haven't quiet decided whether she should be the main antagonistic presence to Ruby later or if she's her greatest friend, who knows :p

wow that was a long winded reply :o regardless its time to begin the chapter today, enjoy ;p

Chapter 9: The meeting, pink edition

Ruby pov:

The girl with white hair looked at me with a deep confusion and moderate concern as I stood up of the ground. 'Initiation speech be damned we need to talk and get answers,' I thought to myself. I snapped my fingers, and time slowed to a crawl, then a stop. I grabbed her and then found a secluded space before I snapped my fingers again.

The girl now feeling the amount of ground she covered in a fraction of a second was now ill over the balcony. "A little warning next time would be great!" she yelled at me, still a little green. "Sorry, I will next time, but we needed to get away from prying ears and eyes if we're gonna have this conversation," I replied seriously. She stared at me, now having gotten her bearings, with a look of apprehension at the aforementioned meeting im fairly sure we both had. "I have no idea what you're talking about. Now, if you could help me find away down from here, we'll be -" I cut her rambling off by grabbing her hand forcefully. "Look, if you'd had Aura that wouldn't have worked, I'm not here to be your enemy, I just want to talk to someone who's like me," I said trying to stop her from leaving. "I dont even know your name, and you dont know anything about me," she said hotly and forcefully removed her hand from my grasp.

I roll my eyes, knowing how this song and dance goes and drew my sword. She looked at me in fear when I drew it, but sooner looked in confusion as I turned it twords my hand and swiped it across my palm like a credit card. Her eyes widened as blood dripped from my sword as I turned my wounded palm twords her. Showing her my healing factor, the wound healed in an instant, closing quickly.

"Y-you, you dont have an aura either?" she asked, looking slightly hopeful tone. "Nope, I dont... but as you saw and likely have yourself, I do have abilities that far outshine those of even experienced hunters," I stated, looking at her. "My name is Ruby Rose," I said, giving her my name and sticking my hand out as a sign of good faith. She looked apprehensively at me but ultimately decided to shake my hand, "Wiess Schnee, more or less outcast of the Schnee family," she said.

"So I have a funny feeling you and I had similar meetings in our minds?" I asked Wiess, to which she nodded that she had. With that, we started to recap what had been said in our meetings with the shadowy figures of our minds. "So, Tony told you to be wary of me, and V told me to be wary of you. Where does that leave us?" Wiess asked, looking at me concerned for how we should proceed. "Personally, I have absolutely no idea, but I know one thing, we're tied together somehow, so I guess that means something." I replied, also concerned for the future.

"Also, what's more concerning was Tony's second warning of your whole world changing. Could he mean your interpersonal world or that the whole world, as in remnant, could be changing?" Wiess asked. "Thats kinda got me spooked as my whole world already changed just a week ago, and more change would probably be bad, but change for remnant would be absolutely worse," I stated my thoughts on the matter. "Though, I'm curious about something V said about Tony being his brother, thats the first clue we have as to who or what they are," I said, looking at her. "Yes, I dont think we're crazy, nor do I think they're grimm. All i can figure is that they're really powerful," Wiess said intuitively but shuttered at the end, remembering how V had gotten after she got upset.

"Well, no use worrying about it right now, we got other things to talk about, like do we have the same abilities or do you have something different than me?" I asked, kinda curious about her. She looked a little nervous to show her abilities to me, but I gently smiled at her and motioned with my hand to go on. With a little more confidence, she pointed her finger out and materialized a glowing white blade about the size of a dager atop her finger. I gazed in surprise as she did so. "I take it by that look of yours you cant do this?" she said playfully. Shaking off my surprise, I smirked and made a doppelganger, "Well what about this princess?" I said smugly. She seemed surprised as the second me did a little wave. She then smiled and did something I didn't expect. Staring back at me was a White-ish glowing doppelganger of Wiess, who did the same little wave. With that, we go through our list of abilities that are related to the presences in our minds.

"So our abilities are similar, but slightly different, with mine more geared twords being a jack of all trades in defense, offense, and mobility," I said thoughtfully. "With my abilities rounding us out in area denial, precision, and speed," Wiess said, looking at me with the same idea. "We damn near cover each others bases, hey Wiess?" I asked, looking at her with a smirk. "Yeah?" she asked with a cool smirk of her own. "I think we should try to be partners here," I said.

Blake pov to just as Ruby and Wiess got back up after meeting Tony and V:

I, having noticed who appeared to be the second youngest schnee, decided that I should go over there and rain on her parade. As I was walking, I saw the other girl in red stand up, snap her fingers, and suddenly, both of them were gone , as if they'd never been there. For some reason, my confusion was halted by an incredibly frightening feeling, and I fell to my knees in abject terror.
