Joining Together against Former Home World
(Unknown Mindscape)
Jaune and Hibiki both gasp at the same time as they look around to find themselves inside what appears to be a strange green place.
"Hey, haven't we… been here before?" Jaune asked.
"I think so, this is when the two ships merged together." Hibiki guessed.
But the stranger thing about this place is that there are some flashes of red light within the green space, and they can feel something is wrong with this place.
"This is the opposite of what we usually get. It's as if this place is scared." Hibiki said.
"Yeah, I can feel it too. I think the ship itself is scared of what's coming and I think I know what that is." Jaune held a hand to his chest.
"Whatever, we already made up our minds on what we're gonna do and we're gonna see it through to the end!" Hibiki determined.
"That's right, so don't you worry, Pyxis. I promise whatever happens next, we'll going to keep on being strong in body and hearts and soul, even in the darkest hour of despair, we don't quit!" Jaune smiled, showing his own determination too.
After saying that, the two boys have faded from this space mindscape as the Pyxis have sense their determination and hops for the best from this upcoming battle.
(With Jaune and Hibiki)
The two best friends gasp as they find themselves back inside the Nirvana and in the hallway that leads them to the hanger.
"Okay, that was weird." Jaune commented, not sure if he's gonna get use to that.
"Weird, but we'll worry about that later once we kick that giant enemy's metal ass!" Hibiki smirked.
"Except we still need to come up with a plan." Jaune reminded him of the thinking part.
"Yeah, yeah, don't worry, we're going out right away. We're going to be doing some thinking at the hanger with our partners, best way to help think." Hibiki reassured to his friend that he's not gonna do anything reckless, yet.
"Oh, glad to hear that." Jaune said.
But then he had another idea, maybe he could invite a few others to join them in the brainstorming meeting on how to beat the enemies, and then his thoughts were interrupted when the ship started shaking a little.
"What the heck is going on now?" Hibiki wondered.
"Feels like the enemies are attacking us now." Jaune guessed which is highly correct.
(Outside the Nirvana)
"Everyone, get into your Dreads and be ready to strike back!" Cinder ordered.
Everyone, including the boys, have come along to fight off the enemies including the three new recruits as they want to help fight them off.
"Those motherfuckers are going to pay for what they did to our fleet." Harriet angered at the sight of the enemies.
"Easy, Harriet. We have to follow the others' lead." Marrow said.
"Get ready. Here they come!" Meia alerted with her hands on the control, ready to combat the moment the enemies come towards them.
The robotic harvesting enemies came at them with many forces as expected and very far behind them is the giant fleet ship, and the giant size ship has sent shivers down to the most of the crew's spine like they are looking at death right in the eyes.
"Hibiki, we really should have come up with a plan." Jaune gulped.
"We'll think of something like the way. Now shut up and get ready to fight!" Hibiki glared at the enemies.
"Try not to break formation, Hibiki. We gotta figure out what we're dealing with firsthand and find a way to counter, we'll also need to be prepared to combine into our Vandread mode." Meia said.
"I bet they won't be that special." Dita grinned.
Soon, all the Dreads and two Vanguard charges at the robotic enemies blasting as many as they can while some are trying to figure out what to do with the giant fleet ship, Jaune is keeping his eyes to the fleet while trying to defense himself against the enemies.
"Come on, it's like you're not even trying!" Hibiki insulted as he slashed at two enemies.
Harriet is really letting out her anger against the enemies as she flies around and blasting them while some of the others are following her lead, Cinder makes some sharp turns and precis shooting at the enemies with Meia doing some speedy flying to outpace them.
"We gotta be careful, it feels like these guys are stronger than the last." Meia alerted.
"Come on, they can't be that tough." Ruby smirked as she had just destroyed another enemy.
However, something started to change on the battlefield when some of the enemies are started flying in what appears to be a new formation and they are starting to blast at some of the Dreads and breaking through their formations too.
"What the heck?!" Ruby gasped.
"How did they do that?!" Dita asked.
"It was almost like they knew our flight pattern!" Jura shocked as well.
The heroes kept on fighting until the enemies have started to gain the upper hand a bit which made them realize one thing: the enemies have learned of their fighting patterns.
"Oh no, the enemies breaking our forces!" Glynda gasped.
"Damn it, could it be they have learned how we fight through the past days since fighting them?" BC wondered, but deep down she knows that's the case.
"Guess that shows our enemies aren't going to make this easy for us, we can only hope to pull through in the end." Magno glared, clenching onto her hands hoping those kids would come back safe.
Jaune flies around dodging some blasters and blocking them with his shield, then uses the shield to charge forward to defense against the blasters then slashes a few times once he got in close enough to them and flies away again.
"Guys, I think we need to unleash our big guns if we're gonna have any chance against these guys." Jaune suggested.
"He's right, we need to perform the Vandread now!" Pyrrha ordered.
"Alright, I'll merge with Ruby and Hibiki will go with Dita. We're gonna show them what's for!" Jaune said.
"Yeah, we're merging again!" Dita excitedly.
"Focus, idiot! We're in the middle of a battle here!" Hibiki yelled.
Soon, the two pairs form their machines together into the Vandreads Blue Thunder and Red Reaper.
"Oh, so that's what Vandread looks like!" Neon amazed.
"I am so going to love being on this crew!" Marrow smiled at this scene.
"Let's go!" Hibiki commanded as the two Vandreads charged into battle.
Many robotic enemies came in to swarm them, but their combined strength and great teamwork were able to overcome the large numbers and it looks like they were winning too.
"Yes, now that's what I'm talking about!" Pyrrha cheered.
"Hold on that cheering, Pyrrha. Something just doesn't feel right about this." Barnette said.
"What do you mean?" Jura asked.
"Think about it. If they were able to learn about our flight pattern and formations, then wouldn't they also have something prepared to fight against our Vandreads?" Barnette asked.
"I have been feeling that way too." Cinder mentioned.
"Come on, what are the chances that those robo-meanies have been able to copy our Vandreads?" Jura asked, shrugging.
However, that theory soon came true when six new large robotic figures appeared on the battlefield of space and the way they look right now seems very familiar, so much so that everyone else save for the new crew members are in utter shock.
"No fucking way!" Meia shocked.
"They really have done it!" Pyrrha said, feeling fear.
Jaune and Hibiki are also equally shocked to see six robots that are the shape similar to their Vandread forms, but each area also looking the dark and scary opposite of theirs like those new enemies are monsters.
"They're fakes!" Dita gasped.
"Fake-Vandreads!" Ruby added the name in fear.
"Oh, come on, that's totally unfair!" Yang complained.
"What do we do now?" Blake asked.
"The only thing we can do! Fight on!" Hibiki said as they charge.
The battle rages on against the Fake-Vandreads though the boys soon find those fakes to be just as strong as the originals, and they are more of them out here as well as they push the others away with their might.
Heck, even some of the smaller enemies have reached the Nirvana ship doing some attacks on the ship while everyone is hanging on.
"Okay, now this is getting tough." Jaune worried.
"We need to think of something and fast or else we'll get overwhelmed soon!" Ruby worried.
"Bridge, is there anyplace we can go to for regrouping and such?" Jaune asked.
"We just found a planet close to us, but the gravity there is very dense and appears it could explode too." Belvedere informed.
"Oh great, a dying planet. Just what we need." Bart worried.
"(A planet with high gravity and the energy it could give us, maybe we can use that to our advantage.)" Jaune thought hoped.
"Everyone, retreat back to the Nirvana and into that planet! I think I have an idea on how we can clear this battle!" Jaune ordered.
"Sounds like Jauney boy has a plan." Hibiki smirked.
"If that boy has a plan involving that planet, then I'm all ears." Magno decided to put her faith in the boys and the other girls.
Soon, everyone retreated back to the dying planet while avoiding some heavy fire from the enemies though Meia almost got hit with only a small scratch on her ship, but it still did some damage to make her fly off for a bit, but Gascogne Rheingau came in saving with the helper ship.
"Oh no, they're following us!" Dita gasped as she sees the enemies coming.
"Don't worry, if I'm right then the planet will take care of them for us." Jaune said.
"Everyone, put up your forcefields right now to defend against the intense gravity!" Pyrrha ordered, and everyone quickly got up their forcefields.
As the robotic enemies came behind them to attack again, but when they went deeper into the planet one of the stops with the intense gravity affecting the machine of Jaune and Cinder's evil copy and being crushed in a heavy explosion.
"Looks like those bucket heads underestimated the heaviness of this planet's gravity." Gascogne smirked.
"So glad, that worked out well for us." Jaune sighed in relief.
Everyone met it back inside the Nirvana ship and Jaune have his own group gather within the hanger to talk about his idea.
"So, what's the big plan?" Hibiki asked.
"I'm gonna warn you guys, it's crazy and highly dangerous that could get us killed." Jaune warned.
"Nothing we haven't dealt with." Pyrrha giggled and kiss him on the cheek.
"No fair, I still wanted to be his first kiss! And maybe his first sex." Ruby pouted and whispered the last part to herself.
"Love thing later, let just hear the damn plan Jaune has in mind." Hibiki said.
"Thank you." Jaune thanked his best friend. He took a deep breath and let out what his plan is.
"Jaune, whatever plan you have in mind, we'll be behind every step of the way." Pyrrha promised.
"Hello, Jaune asked for me?" Pyoro entered the hanger.
(One Plan Explanation Later)
"Are you crazy?! That has got to be the craziest plan I have ever heard!" Pyrrha gasped.
"Believe me, I know it's crazy and that is something Hibiki would come up with if he thought of this idea first." Jaune gestured to his best friend.
"You're right, I would come up with a crazy plan like that." Hibiki admittedly with a nod.
"But can we really pull off something like that?" Jura asked, fearing this task may be impossible.
"I believe we can once we all pull ourselves together, and while our enemies are powerful, that doesn't mean we shouldn't back down and try to strike back. We have our whole lives ahead of us!" Jaune stated.
"Those fuckers think they can control our lives just because they think it's in their rights, our lives are our own to do however we want and make our own choices to make it the best kind of lives we got!" Hibiki added with strength in his words.
"Things may look bad now and it may seem like we're gonna die today, but if we don't face those bad things head on then how are we going to move forward from the here and now?" Jaune asked.
"I say, we show those guys why you don't mess with the Nirvana crew because we're the ones who are going to punch fate in the face and live for tomorrow with our own hands!" Hibiki shouted a little with a fist.
All the girls in the hanger felt like something has lifted their spirits higher than they ever felt before when they heard that wonderful speech, and now they feel confident that they can beat the enemy down and leave this sector to continue on with their journey.
"Let's do it!" Ruby cheered.
"Now we just need to inform the others." Jaune said.
"No need for that, Jaune." Sun said over the comm.
"We heard that whole speech, and we're going to do our best too." Duelo said.
"What? But how?" Jaune confused.
"Sorry, I might've had the comm on by accident." Pyoro apologized.
"It's fine, we're gonna need everyone's help." Hibiki chuckled.
Jaune can only smile at this very moment knowing that everyone is gonna pull their own weight and they are going to leave this battlefield alive, and he has a feeling this battle is going to make everyone on this crew a lot stronger than ever before.
Soon, after telling the crew about the plan, the attack team went back outside including Sun and Ren in their own Vangurad to help keep any enemies from thinking about trying to get close to them again.
"I can't believe we're really going through with this." Glynda sighed.
"This is our only shot, but I have a feeling it will all work out." BC smiled.
"I swear, that Jaune boy certainly surprised me coming up with a plan like that. Now I really want to see how this will end." Magno smiled.
Hibiki and Jura combine into their Red Guardian to contain the entire planet within the forcefield while Jaune and Pyrrha are using a powerful laser beam from their sword transformed into a lance along with Meia, Barnette, Cinder, Dita, Ruby, and Weiss.
"Ah! They're attacking us!" Jura screamed.
"Just focus, we have to hold it in for a while longer!" Hibiki encouraged the older woman to hold on strong.
"Don't worry, we got your back!" Sun promised as he destroyed three enemies while Ren managed to outmaneuver three others. Yang and Blake, and Nora have come to help them as well shooting down as many enemies as they can.
Meanwhile, the Nirvana is holding on strong with the forcefield against the intense gravity of the planet to help calm down the Pyxis, and then Bart is given the ordered to get the heck out of there.
"Okay, now!" Jaune shouted.
The Nirvana unleashed a forcefield to release the energy and that causing it to go upward with Meia and Cinder going up at their top speed and merge with their boys as this will require speed as the planet is releasing an explosive shockwave. They flew faster ahead of the exploding pillar as they are getting closer and closer to the fleet ship.
"Ruby, Dita, it's your turn!" Jaune shouted.
"On it!" Dita and Ruby nodded.
The girls merge with the boys with the flaming planetary with their Vandreads main weapons throwing them at the giant fleet ship, the fleet ship fights back by firing large laser beam to clash against the fire lance clashing against the enemy with the planet flaming pillar coming in to push the enemy beam back against the fleet ship, but it is still working.
"Shit, that thing is still kicking!" Yang gasped.
"Don't worry, we're not done either." Jaune said.
Suddenly the two Vandread are consume by the explosion which everyone gasp on thinking those four are dead, but they became very surprised to see Jaune and Hibiki and their girls have survived and somehow empowered by the explosion.
"LET'S GO!" Jaune, Ruby, Hibiki, and Dita screamed together as they punch right through the fleet ship.
Everyone screams together from the top of their lungs to see that Nirvana have won against the enemy.
"Jaune, craziest plan ever!" Hibiki chuckled.
"Yeah, it sure was." Jaune smiled as Ruby leans back to snuggle onto him.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
The Nirvana crew certainly went through a powerful battle against the harvesting robots and new dangerous weapons that copied the Vandread, but our space heroes were able to pull one big win by using a dying planet to destroy a flag ship.
Next chapter is gonna be a big celebration and Hibiki might get a little special with Dita in her room.
