A/N: This is a different ending to 5x15, an ending I wanted to see so badly, so I decided to write my own. I hated this episode and the rest of the season because Will was dead. This will be a fix-it fic for 5x15, and for the rest of the season. I hope you enjoy this Willicia oneshot, Angels.

The day the war between Will and Alicia was the day of the shooting at Cook County Courthouse, it was also the day something unexpected happened to the two of them.
She had been on her way to an engagement for Peter when she passed the courthouse and saw everyone outside the courthouse and she was confused as to why SWAT teams were outside the courthouse.
She parked her car and jumped out of it, pushing through the crowds until she spotted Diane and Kalinda. "Diane!" She called, running up the two women. Diane and Kalinda look at her.
"Alicia!" Diane exclaimed, a look of panic crossed her face. "What are you doing here? I thought you and Peter had an event?" Her former boss asked, Alicia shook her head. "I was but I saw everything here, what the hell is going on here?" She questioned. Diane and Kalinda looked at each other, having a silent conversation before Diane sighed.
"Alicia, there's a gunman in the courthouse, he started shooting up a courtroom, he's a defendant." Diane explained to the younger woman. Alicia gasped when it hit her: Will was in court today, she remembered all his court dates, and this one was one of his dates. A look of fear appeared on her face as started to scan around her, looking for Will. She paled when she couldn't locate him. She looked at the two women. "Please tell me he got sick and decided to stay home today?" She asked before she laughed to herself at the ridiculity of the question: the only way Will Gardner would ever stay home when he was sick was if he physically couldn't get out of bed." Tell me it isn't his court that's being shot up? Tell me he's not inside?!" Her voice had risen as she looked at the two women in front of her.
Diane and Kalinda's silences are the answers she needed: Will was in the court room.
Alicia's face paled. "Oh God, Will!" She breathed, her voice nothing more than a whisper. "I need to get to him." She said, Diane grabbed her by the arm gently before she could take a step and looked into her eyes.
"Alicia no, Will wouldn't want you getting in harms way. He'll be fine, I promise." Diane said as she kept a hold of her arm. Diane knew if she let go of Alicia's arm, the young woman would bolt into the courthouse. The three women waited in silence as two people were brought out, none of them were Will.
Every minute that went by with no sign of Will was another minute her heart started to freeze up. Suddenly she saw a familiar man, a man who she'd see in the darkest of places.
"WILL!" She shouted as she wrestled her arm out of Diane firm hold and went running to him.
Their eyes met and it was like the rest of the world stopped, all the chaos ceased to exist, and it was just them, her and Will, nothing else.
As she went to throw her arms around him and never let go, she noticed his shoulder was covered in blood: he had been shot.
"Will, you've been shot." She said quietly. Will stared at her. "I'm fine, Alicia, it's just a gunshot wound." He replied, Alicia scoffed as tears sprang to her eyes.
"Yes, Will, you have been shot, you need to go to the hospital, now." Will just chuckled as he hooked his good arm around her waist to stop her from leaving and dragging him to the hospital. Before Alicia could speak about the importance of going to the hospital, Will's lips had descended on her own, pulling her into a deep kiss on the steps of the courthouse. Alicia smiled into the kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck. They pulled away when air became a necessity. Will smiled, the look of anger and betrayal that he had worn the last few months had gone, evaporated, and in their place was a look of relief and love for her.
"As long as I have you, I'll be fine." Will said, kissing her again.
3 months have gone by since their steamy kiss on the steps of the Cook County courthouse, after the shooting, and even more chaos ensured, mostly by Peter and Jackie who were't happy that she had 'cheated' on Peter in front of reporters. Zach and Grace were thrilled that their mother was happy and in love, even if it wasn't with their father. Diane, Cary, Kalinda and everyone else weren't surprised by the two of them getting together. The media were surprised but didn't hound either of them that much and wished them well with their relationship.
They merged their firms and became Lockhart, Cavanaugh, Gardner and Agos. "Because women are better than men." Alicia said through giggles when Will and Cary protested about the girl's names being first.
"I love you, Will." Alicia says to him in the darkness of their bedroom after a long day in court against Nancy Crozier, the diamond ring sparkling in the light coming from outside their bedroom window. Will kisses her hair as he wraps his arms around her waist.
"I love you too, Alicia." Will replies quietly.
The last 3 months have been the best three months of their lives, and they can't wait to see what happens next.
