It'd been quite an exciting and enjoyable day for Alexei Petrov. He preferred to be called Alex since most people didn't know how to pronounce his Russian name correctly. He'd spent the day with his cousin Vlad Masters.
Alex, Robert, and Kathleen were indeed cousins to Vlad, Jack, and Maddie. Although they'd not been born and were technically only a few months old, the Ancients who gave them life assured them they were not clones of the original. The three of them were born from a melding of ectoplasm, the supernatural energies of the Ancients, along with the energy of lost souls and a small amount of their cousins' DNA.
But again, all the Ancients of the Ghost Zone assured them they weren't clones. But their own individuals who had free will and could be whoever they wanted to be. Plus, the Ancients had ensured that both Peace Valley and Amity Park had the official documents to back up their existence. Due to the current crises with Clockwork's Demiboy brother Paradox, everyone involved was supposed to forge strong bonds with individuals from all affected realities.
As the prophecy foretold this event, only strong bonds of friendship and family could save the day. Like everyone else, Alex returned to the interdimensional apartment he shared with Robert Jackson after their bonding time. Likewise, he took out his journal to write down his thoughts about meeting his cousin properly for the first time.
"Meeting my cousin Vlad for the first time was terrifying and exhilarating. He's a bit happier than the Amity Park one in the Peace Valley reality. I'm glad I didn't push him to talk about his childhood more then he was willing. I can only assume some trauma was involved based on what little he said. When our bond becomes deeper, he might open up to me more.
I must confess my own 'childhood' was a total lie. Again, we all chose to have the memories of our childhood. Yes, I did desire to have adventures, but at the same time, I planted roots. So that's the childhood I asked the Ancients of the Ghost Zone to create for me. I'm interested in learning more about my heritage when it comes to my Russian roots. I disapprove of Russia invading Ukraine! That is wrong on so many levels.
But back to my cousin. I'm glad he's found a happier life in this reality. He seems like a good father and husband. Yet, like all parents, he makes mistakes. However, I am glad he and Maddie don't wear jumpsuits 24/7. I t helps make them less odd in this world. Also, they don't have the UFO attached to their house like the Fentons do in their reality.
So, their three kid aren't as embarrassed by their parents. I'm also thrilled they don't play favorites with their three children. They appreciate each other for who they are and don't expect them to be anyone else. I'm glad Vlad and I had a good time at the dog park.
Can we do that again? Or go to a Packers game. That would make Vlad happy even if I don't care about football. Sometimes, we have to make compromises with our friends and family. Genuine and healthy relationships are based on honesty, communication, respect, and understanding how the other feels.
And again, learning to compromise and work to fix any issues that might crop up. So I'm glad we had a good time today. I'm not sure WHY the Ancients are saying I've to have coffee with Jack Fenton, though. However, since they're old as time itself, I may do as they say. Well, I better get dinner started. Robert should be returning soon from having coffee with his cousin Jack. I hope it went semi-well. Well, that's all for now!" he closed the journal and went to start making dinner while still having a million thoughts flooding his mind.
