Jack Fenton returned home with plenty on his mind. And for the first time, none of it was related to either ghost hunting or eating tons of fudge. He honestly hadn't expected how meeting his cousin Robert would go down. Again, he initially thought he'd get to do his normal blabbering about ghosts and show off all the Fenton inventions he'd come up with. So it had been entirely unexpected when their coffee date turned into his cousin attempting to help him become more socially appropriate.

He may've never listened to his beloved daughter Jazz when she broached the subject in the past. However, somehow, his cousin got through to him more. Possibly because they're both grown men, he went to get a journal that Jazz had gifted him. She had emphasized how vital journaling was for one mental well-being. He'd never written in it before now. He usually avoided writing anything because of his notorious spelling and grammar. Plus, how rotten his handwriting was in general.

Still, this time, he made an effort to write neater and pay more attention to his spelling and grammar as he wrote his first journal entry. "Well, meeting my cousin Robby didn't go as planned. However, maybe that was for the best. I've ignored my family for too long when they've tried telling me I needed to make a few changes.

Yet, somehow, Robby got through. I know it will take effort each day to behave less childish. It takes a conscious effort every day to improve yourself. I hope my family and Robby can continue to help me. I want people to stop talking about how much of an idiot I am. Plus, I want to make my family happy and less embarrassed. So, I shall put forth the effort; if I need help, I can ask.

So I swear to work as hard as possible from now on! For now? I should also work on my physical health, as Maddie hinted that I'm not in the best of health due to my love of fudge. So, there is a lot I need to work on. But for the love of my family, I shall do it!" he closed the journal. He knew today marked the first day in his quest for self-improvement, and he wouldn't fail no matter what!
