She spoke from behind my closed bedroom /br /"Right. Thanks for letting me know Jas." I replied. Using the nickname I had created for Jasmine a few years /br /Swinging my legs off my bed, as I heard Jasmine's footsteps as she walked away from in front of my bedroom door, I stifled another /br /I then waited for the tent in my pants to /br /When it did I headed for my personal bathroom and took care of /br /Including taking a hot shower to wash the stink off my body and to fully wake me /br /Both jobs the hot shower accomplished /br /Stepping out of it I had a serene smile on my /br /After drying off I moved to get dressed in some comfortable clothing before heading downstairs to join my family at the dining room table for /br /Arriving I gave morning greetings to all before digging into the breakfast before /br /Which included pancakes, eggs, some bacon, along with milk and orange /br /The bacon having come from a /br /Since early on in my second life in the world of Pokemon I learned the answer to an age old question fans of the series had had for ages?br /br /Do the people of the Pokemon world eat and consume Pokemon?br /br /The answer to that question is a big fat /br /Which honestly disturbed me quite a bit when I discovered the truth of the matter all those years /br /But eventually I got over /br /Since if I didn't I would've gone /br /Besides, I learned Pokemon eat each other. So if they do it I reasoned it was alright for us humans to do the /br /I also learned that the Pokemon turned into food are bred specifically for the /br /It's not like the people of this world just go out and kill Pokemon willy nilly for /br /Oh /br /The food market when it comes to Pokemon-related goods, especially meat, is highly monitored and /br /Because if we humans piss off Pokemon the wrong way just once we could have a disastourous situation on our /br /A matter that we humans try to avoid at all /br /br /As my family and I are breakfast we made some small talk, until eventually we had all /br /"Mhm, as always mom your cooking is the best." I told /br /"Thank you Magnus." Mom replied as she cleared the /br /Seeing this I stood up, moved to her side, and then stopped her. "No mom. You've done enough. Let me take care of this." I spoke. I then took the plates she was carrying out of her hands before she could respond and then began clearing the table /br /It's the least I can do after that amazing victory party she and everyone else threw for me /br /"Oh, why thank you Magnus." Mom spoke. A soft smile on her face. "My, we've raised quite the gentleman haven't we Julian?"br /br /"Yes we have Merida. His girlfriend sure is lucky." My father /br /Making me stop in my tracks and almost drop the dishes in my hands onto the /br /But thankfully I didn' /br /I managed to make it to the sink and put them inside. Then once I did I immediately turned around to face my parents. Only to find them with knowing smirks on their /br /Making the lie I was about to tell them about me not having a girlfriend die in my /br /"How did you find out?" I asked /br /Since I hadn't told my parents about my girlfriend yetbr /br /Not because I don't want them to meet her or vice versa, it's just she and I have only recently started dating. The relationship is new and I wanted us to have a bit of time to figured things out on our own and enjoy the romance before I brought my family in on /br /For they already know my /br /The two of us were actually just friends at first. But recently we took things to the next level and became a /br /Well actually I was the one who initiated things to take our relationship to the next level, but the point still stands that she and I are a couple /br /Though like I just said we haven't told anybody yet. So I really want to know how my parents found out about our new relationship /br /Hearing my questions my parents dropped the knowing smirks from their faces and then looked at me in utter confusion for a second before putting the smirks back on their /br /Upon seeing this I wanted to /br /Since I just realized my parents didn't know I had a girlfriend, they were just trying to tease me. But in response to that I just outed my relationship to /br /'Way to go me.' I sarcastically /br /Resisting the urge to face-palm with all my /br /"So, my baby boy has a girlfriend huh?" Mom mused. "Tell me, when did this happen?"br /br /"When are you going to bring her over?" Dad /br /"Eh, big bro you have a girlfriend?" Jasmine asked /br /"Yes. I do." I replied to /br /Doing my best to keep the blood from rushing to my face and dying my cheeks /br /Which is a job I am failing /br /My parents continued bombarding me with questions about my girlfriend, and I did my best to ignore them while I did the /br /This lasted for a few minutes before a savior appeared to rescue me from the /br /Grandpa /br /"Jude, Merida, that's enough." He spoke up. "Leave the boy alone. He'll tell us about his girlfriend when he is ready. Besides, it's not like you two revealed your relationship to me when you first started dating."br /br /Which got my parents to stop asking me /br /Moithing a silent 'Thank you' to my grandpa I finished the dishes in peace. The blush on my face completely fading as I finished /br /Once I did so I headed /br /Since now that I was well-rested and fed it was time for some training with my /br /-br /br /Enjoying the gentle breeze that was blowing, and the smell of the ocean coming from the direction of Olivine, I walked right up to my team. br /br /Who just like me looked well-rested and /br /A fact I knew was true since when I do come home my family helps me in taking care of /br /A job they are great /br /Considering my grandpa is a gym leader, my father is a Pokemon ranger and ground-type specialist, and my mother is a Pokemon /br /So when it comes to caring for Pokemon they have things well in /br /Coming to a stop in front of my team I looked over them to see they were all acting as they usually did when they had leisure /br /Vulcan is lying flat on his stomach and basking in the sunlight. A trait he has had ever since he was an Onix. Seems he likes the feel of the sun on his /br /Strix is performing the Skarmory version of feather preening, or with her I guess you can call it scale /br /Mihawk is seated on the ground with his back against a nearby tree, his gaze sweeping over the surrounding area on the lookout for /br /Archer is giving Rin the equivalent of a lap pillow. The latter blushing up a storm but with a happy smile on her face. While the former looks as cool as /br /Really, the fact that those two ended up mating despite their vastly different personalities still astounds me to this /br /One is a cool guy, while the other is a tsundere most of the /br /But I guess that's just how love works /br /Tesla, Branniac, and Magneto are having a /br /Which of course I can't understand since all of them are speaking Pokemon, but from what I can gleam their conversation seems to be very stimulating for all three of /br /Brigid and Ares are /br /Yet another surprise couple that developed on my team. But for completely different reasons than Archer and /br /For when Brigid and Ares first met they immediately held a certain dislike for each other that caused them to battle any chance they /br /Honestly I thought one day they would just outright start hating each other and I would have to permanently remove one of them from my /br /Until one day they revealed to the rest of us that they decided to /br /It was then I realized those two were just acting like a boy and girl who liked each other but couldn't admit it to each other or themselves so they decided to bully the object of their affection. Well once again they performed the Pokemon equivalent of what humans would do so /br /Copying Vulcan Selene is lying flat on her stomach, but unlike him she is /br /Though not for much /br /"Everyone, gather up!" I exclaimed in a commanding /br /The moment I did everyone stopped what they were doing and focused their attention on me. Selene even woke up from her nap and looked in my /br /"Thank you." I spoke to them all. "So last night after the welcome party ended I went and asked my grandpa if he could battle against me without holding back and he agreed." I explained. "So you all know what that means. Our next battle is set." I spoke. "And as we discussed before this won't be like any of the other times we've battled against grandpa and his Pokemon. This time all of them will be serious. Meaning this will likely be one of the toughest battles to date we've faced. But that won't deter us right?"br /br /My Pokemon all exclaimed at my words. Fiery looks of determination in all of their /br /"Good. I like that look in all of your eyes." I told them. "But remember, this will only be one of the steps in achieving our overall goals. So like I always say stay strong, stay steady, and we shall prevail against almost anything." I /br /For I have discussed my dreams of joining the Elite Four with my team and all of them are with me 100%.br /br /Again, I don't think I could ask for a better group of /br /"Alright here is what's on the menu for today's training." I began. "Mihawk, Archer and Strix you three are together today. Keep doing what you've been doing." I told /br /The three of them nodded and then went off to an open area to begin their /br /Which consists of Archer and Mihawk trying to bring Strix to the ground and keep her there. For the Lucario and Scizor species have a limited number of ranged moves they can learn and are essentially close combat fighters. So they are particularly vulnerable against long-range or aerial type Pokemon species that can hit them from a distance. Archer more so than Mihawk since at least the Scizor species can engage in aerial combat momentarily. Still, the time period they can is too short. Thus I want these two to be able to ground an aerial opponent almost the moment the battle starts to show their species /br /Conversley Strix is doing the opposite. She's learning how to deal with opponents that specialize in close-combat that want to bring her to ground level and negate her aerial /br /They are the perfect training partners for each /br /"Tesla continue working with Magneto in regards to the manipulation of electrical energy."br /br /Since when it comes to his rock and steel-type moves Magneto is wonderful. But his electric-type move pool is sitting at zero at the moment br /br /Which needs to change /br /That's why I'm having Tesla help him out in regards to the matter. For it is the master of manipulating electrical energy on my /br /Hearing my orders the two of them floated off to a stop to begin executing /br /"Brigid, Rin, continue working on your elemental energy manipulation." I instructed the /br /For while Rin is great when it comes to battling defensively, and is a good supporter, I want her to be more of a jack of all trades like /br /Nodding the girls walked off to their own spot to begin their /br /Rin wearing a savage grin on her. Since she is part of my battle-maniac /br /I kid you /br /As for the other two they are my starter Vulcan and /br /Oh the stories I could tell about the three of /br /"Branniac, continue refining your control over your psychic energy. Finally Ares, Vulcan, and Selene I want your control of rock and ground energies better than they already are.," I spoke. The last four of my Pokemon nodding at my words. "Ok you all know what to do. And remember don't destroy the area with your training!" I /br /Because sometimes these guys take training way too /br /Heading my words my Pokemon got to work performing the training I had instructed them /br /As they did I walked around, observing them and giving out advice here and there. While also trying to decide which of them I would use in my upcoming battle against my /br /For he has faced all of my Pokemon in battle more than once and knows all of their strengths and weaknesses. Meanwhile I have never seen the full power of his Pokemon. Putting me at a disadvantage. Though it's not like I'll back down on account of /br /On the contrary, not knowing what to expect only makes me wish for the battle against my grandfather to get here /br /When I realized it was time for lunch I had my Pokemon stop their training and then we all had a good meal and a good rest before resuming our training until dinner rolled around. We then did the same routine we did for lunch before calling an end to the days /br /Me and my Pokemon satisfied with how the day went./p
