Nico was the most popular boy in his school. And he had no clue why. He didn't talk to anyone if he could help it. He wasn't in any sports or in any clubs, and he only had a few friends. His friends at this school were a boy named Thomas Scott and Lynsey Glynn. They were both a year younger than him, so they didn't hear all the rumors and gossip about him, and even if they did they would judge him based on those. That was why he liked them, also because they were dating and they were a super cute couple. He had grown tired of being asked out by the girls in his grade and some from the younger grades. I didn't seem to matter how many times he said it, these girls couldn't take no for an answer. It also probably didn't help that no one knew he was gay. It wasn't like he was hiding it, he just never happened to bring it up. Naturally they also didn't know about Will. Speaking of his boyfriend, Nico was not in a good mood. He missed Will to no end, sure they had IMs nearly every night but it just wasn't the same. So when he walked into his school, he wasn't in a mood to be bothered.

Nico

I walked into school and went to my locker. I grabbed my stuff and went to find Thomas and Lynsey. When I found them they were at their lockers

"Hey" he said

"Hi","Hi" they responded

"Why are you in such a bad mood today?" Lynsey asked

"Its nothing" he silently wondered how she could tell

The bell rang suddenly pulling him out of his thoughts. He hurried to class wishing he wasn't forced to go to this miserable place. His classes passed quickly because of his ADHD, and he was slightly surprised when it was already lunch time. He walked to the cafeteria and sat in at a small table with his friends. All of a sudden a jock walked up to them

"Hey, why did you reject my sister?" He growled

"Eh, who?" He asked

"MARISSA" he hissed, "Captain of the cheer team, blonde, blue eyes-"

"Because I am already with someone, and I am not into shallow girls who have to hide under their make up because their face looks like a pig butt" he interrupted

The jock was shocked for a second.'Nico has a girlfriend?' This was news to everyone, including his friends. Then the jock realized what the son of Hades had said about his sister. His face turned an interesting shade of red

"YOU LITTLE" he started,"she's to good for you any ways, your just a pathetic Italian kid" he looked like he wanted to punch the Ghost king, but he didn't. It was common knowledge that Nico would beat anybody black and blue is they so much as touched him.

"If he is just a 'pathetic Italian kid' then what are you?" Lynsey snapped back

The bell rang and they walked past the stunned jock.

--Time-Skip--After-School--

"Are you coming to CBH this weekend?" Will asked over the IM

"I can't" Nico sighed, "My father asked me to do something for him so I will be gone"

"Are you missing school?"

The son of Hades rolled his eyes, "Yes, I am missing nearly a week"

"People are going to get suspicious if you leave for long periods of time"The healer said

"It"s fine" Nico said trying to reassure his boyfriend, "I can just make up excuses"

"Okay"Will said not quite convinced

Will

He had a great idea. It could also be a terrible idea. But he chose to look at the bright side. He was going to join Nico's school, and not tell him. He had been thinking about it for a little while now and this was the perfect opportunity. He would go and see what kids thought of Nico while he was gone, and then surprise him when he got back. It wasn't that he didn't trust Nico, it was just that he had only seen him at camp and didn't know if he would be different at school. So he asked Chiron if he could go, and when the centaur agreed he was essentially jumping with joy. He tan to his cabin and nearly trampled Kayla

"Why are you so happy?" His sister had an idea on why he was so happy but wasn't sure

"No reason"He responded nervously

She sighed, "Your going to his school aren't you?" She asked, a little sadness laced in her voice

He looked down, "Yes"

She looked down as well. Will had been the head counselor of the Apollo cabin for as long as she had been there. It wasn't like he was moving, just, not around. He has talked to her about his plan, but she had hoped he wouldn't. All her life people had left her like this, they would go away and then slowly stop contacting her. She would try to reach out to them, but they would politely decline. Will looked up at her, he knew about her past and don't want to doo ok what her family did to her.

"Kayla, I promise, I won't drift away. I will be here as much as possible, and it's just for this year" He assured her, "Nico said he isn't going ti college so he will come back here, and we will be here all the time again." He promised

"But what if he changes his mind and goes to college in New Rome?" He could see tears stuck in her eyes now.

"Kayla, loo at me" He said softly but firmly

She looked up

"I will not leave you, not ever" He looked directly into her eyes, "I will not be like your sister and parents, I will stay here always"he could see her calming down,"Besides, I have to teach you all how to really shoot a bow" She laughed

It was common knowledge that Will was an amazing healer, but he clearly did not have a talent for archery. He wasn't as bad as Percy, no one was, but he was probably the worst child of Apollo when it came to archery.

--Time-Skip--Monday--

He was standing in front of a high school on the edge of New York, this was his boyfriend's high school. He walked up the steps and into the school. When he entered there was a wave of whispers that spread across the hallway, he sighed as he headed for the office. Mortals always reacted like this, and he didn't understand why. He grabbed his schedule from a nice secretary in the office

He struggled a bit with reading it because of his dyslexia,but he managed. He headed to his home room and took a seat in the back. All is a sudden a shy looking girl walks up to him and say

"Sorry, but, that is Nico's seat, and he gets mad when anyone else takes it" she stumbles through her sentence

He smirked inwardly, "Well if he wants it he can take it, and besides I have a feeling he won't be here today"he calmly said

He heard a few gasp from student,'so that's how it is huh'

The rest of the week mostly went like that, and by Friday everybody was waiting for Nico to meet Will. Who had been challenging his place all week, the only problem was that Nico had been gone all week.

Nico

He was finally done with dealing with the rogue spirits his father had sent him to bring back. He really didn't want to go to school but he had this nagging feeling something would happen so he went. When he arrived he realized everybody was more hushed than normal, they all seemed to be waiting for something. He walked to his locker and put his stuff up, he noticed the locker next his had a lock on it. That was weird, maybe there was a new kid. He shrugged it off and walked to his home room.

The first half of the day passed without incident, though he heard some kids muttering about some new kid not showing up, though he didn't catch the name. The lunch bell rang and he pulled from his thoughts. He was walking to the lunch room when suddenly everybody gasped, they were all looking behind him. He turned around and his eyes widened. Standing right there in front of him, was his boyfriend, Will Solace.

"Hey" he casually said, "I heard a lot about you are you Nico?" He asked innocently

the son of Hades narrowed his eyes slightly,'So that is how we are doing this' "Yes I am Nico Di Angelo, may I ask who you are?" He calmly stated

"I don't think I want to tell you"He said after thinking for a second. Students gasped.

"Is that so"Nico asked. Everyone was surprise day how casually he responded.

"Yes"

"Well then I guess I'll just have to guess"

It was Wills turn to narrow his eyes, everyone was watching with great interest. They had never seen Nico act like this before.

"That's not very fair"he said

"Oh, and why is that" Nico asked innocently

"You know why" Will exclaimed, exasperated

"No, I don't think I do"

"Really" The son of Apollo challenged

"Yea, Really" The son of Hades challenged back

"Fine" His boyfriend gave up, and he walked over to Nico and grabbed him up in a hug.

The student all around thought they couldn't be more surprised, they were wrong. When Will picked up Nico in a hug, and Nico actually hugged him back they were shocked.

Addison(Random popular girl with the crush on Will)

I was super interested in the interaction between the new hot guy Will, who I had claimed as my boyfriend( though he kept saying no, I would change that soon) so I was extremely shocked when they hugged. First thing, Nico Di Angelo did not do physical contact with anyone. Not even his friends. Second, he absolutely never showed affection for anyone, not like he was showing for my boyfr- or soon to be, boyfriend. I was a little worried that, for some reason I didn't know, this would affect me making Will my boyfriend, so I walked up to them and stood next to Will. "How do you know him?" I asked Will

"We met at-"Nico started

"I asked Will, not you" she said

Will looked down at her with a slightly angry expression "Don't talk to him like that" he said coldly

She looked at him perplexed and said, "Why do you care you have been challenging him all week"

They exchanged a Quick Look and the Will looked down at me and said, "I care because he is my boyfriend" If anyone thought they could get more shocked they were even more wrong than the first time. Will continued, "And I have been challenging him all week because I wanted to see what he was like here"

"So are you leaving?" Nico said looking down

"No, I am staying as long as you are"

His head shot up as he stared into Wills eyes, "Really?"

"Of course, Sunshine"Will put an arm around Nico's shoulders, who frowned at the nickname.

Nobody/Everybody

Over the next few weeks, the shock of Will and Nico being together wore off. But things were different, Nico was much more lighthearted than he been before. And he was almost never in a bad mood, he also started socializing more. Will had made friends with a large group of kids (Not jocks or cheerleaders) and Nobody asked either Will or Nico out anymore(except the Cheerleaders). So the schools most mysterious kid suddenly had a boyfriend and he changed very much, he now just seemed like the rest of the kids. And the two of them had a very happy year at that school, and they weren't bothered by anyone( or they weren't bothered by anyone important).
