Bonus chapter 1 part 1
Taking a sip of his specially blended tea,was all Dusk needed to calm his nerves as it had a long week,getting used to a new town,new place,and learning to fly. Spike on the other hand seemed to enjoy himself, Dusk guessed the small town was more to his liking than the capital of Equestria. On the night stand there were open envelopes from Dusks parents and sister. All to congratulate him on his new title and were surprised he decided to stay where he and Spike currently were now. His sister Gleaming also asked her him who were the ones that aided him in his fight against Nightmare Moon. Dusk simply replied they were just loyal associates wanting to help him. Unfortunately that only seemed peak her curiosity,and was pestering him to tell her who they actually were. Just thinking about that made Dusk sigh. Sitting down he looked at his crown he hadn't worn it since the day he received it. Though Dusk was grateful for his title but he didn't believe he was worthy of it. As it wasn't something he desired,he just wanted to serve Celestia and the kingdom to the best of his ability. With that Dusk leaned in chair as he thought. I didn't want to become Prince,I'm a Prince.I didn't want to stay here in Ponyville,but here I am. I didn't want any associates or friends especially females ones, but I got five of them. How did this happen? Dusk wondered to himself,as he heard as Spike voice on the other side of the bed room door saying… Breakfast is ready Big bro. Coming! Dusk replied as he stood up. Despite living in a new town,Dusk only ever left the house when had something important to do. Plus not all of his ties to Canterlot had been severed, As his blended tea was delivered every other day from his home town. After consuming the food Spike made both heard a knock on the door. I wonder who that could be? Spike Wondered as it was not that often they had visitors. Opening the front door Spike Saw Apple Jack as she looked down and smiled at him. Howdy. Appple Jack said to him. Is Dusk….She began to say when she saw him coming. With she smiled and said. Oh hi Dusk. She said to him. Dusk nodded. As she said. Look I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything but…She explained. I need some help with some apple picking back farm. What about your family? Dusk her. Why can't they help? Well Ma and Pa are out of town to visit an old associate of theirs,and Apple Bloom,has her schoolin,and I don't want granny getting hurt due to her getting old in her age. What about your brother? Dusk told her. Well he won't help partly because the apple pickin is part of a bet.A.J. told him. A bet? Dusk said. Yeah. The Eldest daughter of Sweet Apples explained. You see if I pick all the Apples before noon he'll have to wear granny's girdles all around town. So what do say? Well I don't know. said Dusk. This seems to be just between you and your brother,and I don't have anything against him, to make him do anything as embarrassing like that,when you win the bet. He told her. With that A.J's face turned into a pleading look as she said. Oh come on please? She pleaded. This is just a,sibling Squabble no ones getting hurt. She continued .Surly you must understand with own siblings. said. From what I heard you and Gleaming used to compete a lot when you guys were young or younger. Upon hearing this and looking Apple jacks green eyes Dusk finally said. Fine I'll help you. With that Apple Jack smiled widely and said. Great now let's get over there. Times a wastin. As she grabbed Dusk arm. As they were leaving Spike said. Hood up. I'm wanna come to. As he fellowed them to Sweet Apple's.
While walking Apple Jack asked Dusk how his flying was coming along. It's a working progress. He told as he never thought that one day he would receive wings of his own. Well I hope you don't get into more of those cashes like that one time,when me and ma saw you crash into our field. A.J reminded him. With that Dusk replied. Yeah that wasn't my finest moment. As Dusk remembered after getting up. He saw Apple Jack and Pear Butter coming up to him and asked if he was alright. After explaining he was fine and just bruised. With that Pear Butter looked at him in the eyes and said that he had changed at least a little. Dusk wondered what she meant by that? Here we are here. Spike good ol Sweet Apple Acres. A.J said with pride. The next thing the new Prince knew he and his adopted brother were lead to a wagon. After that Apple Jack stated kicking one tree after another,as the apples themselves started falling into the baskets. Which Dusk with the use of his magic hulled them into the wagon. Spike didn't help much except put the apple into the barn after the wagon was full. After nearly four hours and 10 minutes before noon the work was over. Boy that was some hard work. Said Spike. Yep all in a days work.A.J told him and Dusk. With a smile she also told them she would make some grab as a thank you for their help. As she went inside Spike started to feel like he was going to puke. Noticing this Dusk asked his assistant of what was wrong. Which he replied it must've been something he ate before they came over to the Spike burped out green fire and a letter surprisingly it was from Princess Celestia. The letter also,contained a royal symbol and two what looked liked to be tickets to something. As Dusk read the Equestia's new Prince. Dusk was already agitated by this as he continued reading. This letter is to inform you that the Grand Galloping Gala will be held soon and now that you are a Prince, Its now mandatory that you like all Nobles in Equestria attended this royal event. Of course Spike can come along with you as well if he wishes and anther close associate of yours. Sincerely Equestria's Princess and yours Celestia. So what does it say? Spike asked knowing it was from the Princess. Well.. Dusk explained Celestia wants us well me,to attend the Gala .The Grand Galloping Gala? Spike asked. Yeah. Dusk told that that I'm a Prince and have to attend with all those rich snobs,and elite people. Do you remember little of that when we attend that formal gathering? Yeah. I Remember. Spike said. The food wasn't that good and you had to eat it a certain I doubt any of the girls would want to attend that sort of function. Dusk said. Well…He maybe. What are those? Spike asked. Are those are tickets to the galla? Yeah. Dusk told his assistant. I also have a symbol of the royal crest that help me gain entry. And as I said I don't think the girls would be that interested in coming. He told him. I could assistant said. And why do you want to go there? Because.. Spike told him. if you give me those two tickets than I could take Sweetie Bell. She told me she likes dress up especially at parties. Looking doubtfully for a fee seconds but Dusk sighed and shrugged his shoulders and gave his adopted brother the tickets. Just than Apple walked out with food in her hands and you two. Lunch is served. With that A.J notice Dusk holding a letter,and asked. Whats that? Oh nothing He told her. Just anther letter from the Princess. As he crumpled it up and threw it away. Come on big bro lets dig in. After eating and saying their thanks,Dusk and Spike set off to the library. Along the way they met Apple Bloom,Scootaloo,and Sweetie Bell. Who greeted them Sweetie Asked Spike if he could hung out with them. Asking his older brother Dusk nodded and said that he could as long they didn't get into trouble. With that he walked off leaving Spike with Sweetie Bell and her two going on Spike? Not much. Je told Sweetie. Just helping Apple Jack with the apples. Before the anyone could speak Scootaloo yelled. Hey Apple Bloom is that your brother wearing an old ladies undergarments? sighing A.B said yep thats him. I think him and my sister made a bet and he lost. Seeing his sister and friends and Spike BigMac quickly walked away as to not embarrass his little sis. After that Spike told Sweetie and her friends what Dusk gave to him where he form the Princess. Asking what it was the pointy eared imp showed them all of the two tickets to the gala. The three young girls were silent til Apple Bloom Spoke. The Grand Galloping Gala,as the Gala they have at celestia castle? She asked. Spike noded Yes. I heard a lot rich and famous people come out to that party. Scootaloo told her friends. From what I've heard the Wonder Bolts go there every year.I got to tell Rainbow Dash see you guys later as she rushed off. Yeah I like to hang out too but, I gotta go see whats happening at the ranch so see ya. Apple Bloom said as she left. Now alone together Spike asked Sweetie Alone. The small imp asked Rarities younger sister if she would like to go to Sugar cube conner. a smile formed o Sweepatie Bells face as she said. Spike it would be an honor. As the two of them went inside. After ordering and eating their desserts ice cream Spike went to the bathroom. Alone Sweetie found herself confronted by Pinkie Pie herself. Smiling Pinkie said to her. So did you guys enjoy your seet treat? She asked. Smiling back. Sweetie we did. Plus she continued. Spike gave me something that Dusk gave to him which the Princess gave to him earlier. Oh Yeah whats that? A ticket to the Grand Galloping Gala. Pinkie face froze in shock. Seeing that Sweetie asked if she was alright. In a split second Pinkie's face went shock to happy again. As she said. Sorry I just couldn't believe you got a ticket to the Gala. Well yeah. Sweetie Bell said to her. I've heard its a pretty fancy place,with a lot wealthy and famous people. Just than Spike appeared,seeing Pinkie with her warm smile. He smiled and said hello to her. After saying hi back he asked her how she was doing. Im doing fine. Pinkie told him. By the way I heard you got Gala tickets from your brother from the Princess. Yeah. Spike told her. Celestia gave big bro two tickets. He assumed no one wanted to go so he gave me the tickets. I see.. Pinkie told him and Sweetie bell. Keeping her smile she said to them. Well I hope you two have a wonderful time. After that both Spike and Sweetie Bell said their thanks and goodbye. Heading into the kitchen Pinkie thought to thats what my senses were telling me. As Pinkie did her sugar cube duties. Earlier Pinkie felt a twitch in her hair. It told her that Dusk had something sent to him from the Princess,but didn't know exactly what it was until Spike told her. With the other ticket in Sweetie's hands maybe I'll convince Dusk to talk to Celestia about her a ticket. Pinkie thought and than said. Yeah thats a great idea. And than she thought. Yeah tomorrow me and the girls are out to breakfast,and there I'll be able to convince him. But should tell him and make him Pinky promise to come. Because no one breaks a Pinky promise. Just than the oven next to her goes off as she went to check on what was inside.
Outside Spike and Sweetie Bell were about to part ways but not until Sweetie Bell thanked him. For the Gala ticket Oh it's no problem. Spike told her. Unexpectedly Sweetie's lips embraced Spike right cheek. In a small expecting that from the sister of Rarity Spike blushed. As she said goodbye to him. Watching Sweetie walk back to her home. Spike was in shock as he touched the cheek Sweetie had kissed and said. I'll never wash this cheek again. As he started off to the library. After finishing her weather duties Rainbow decided to check on her sisterly friend Scootaoo,who was waiting for her down below. When meeting her Dash said .Hey Rainbow. Scoot said to her. Whats going on? Nah nothing much just doing some weather work which I got the day off tomorrow,but I got to train the new prince how to fly without crashing. Speaking of him Scoot said. Did you hear that he got two tickets to a special event in Canterlot? Peeking her interest Rainbow asked what the the special event in Canterlot was. The Grand Galloping Galla. Scootaloo answered. With that Rainbow looked down founded and surprise. Shaking her head Rainbow reiterated what Scootaloo just said. The Grand Galloping Gala? As in "the" Galloping Gala? Yep. Scoot told her. Hmmm…. Rainbow wondered to herself. Whats wrong? Scootaloo asked her. With that Dash told her young friend. Oh nothing it just… Well… Im thinking of telling Dusk if he would like give me a ticket to the Gala.. With a confused face. Scootaloo said. Why would want to go to event like that? Thats where all those uppity people hang out. well true Rainbow told her. But thats also where the Wonder Bolts hang out as well. Really? Scoot said. with surprise Rainbow told I plan show them my stunts. Sense Nightmare Moon ruined my chance to show off to them. So the Grand Galloping Gala is my second chance to enter their ranks. Well I hope Dusk will give you one. The young winged girl told her Idol. Don't worry Rainbow assured her. I got a plan. So how about I show off some of my moves before I go see Dusk. Scootaloo nodded her head yes, as Rainbow was the one person she idolize and wanted to be when her wings developed as she got older.
At Sweet Apple Acres Apple Bloom hurried home and saw her older sister in the kitchen who saw her. Hi Apple Bloom Apple Jack greeted. Say..A.B asked her sister did you and BigMac take part take in a bet? With that A.J told her younger sis. Why yes she answered. Why did you See BigMac in granny's old lingerie? She asked with a laugh. With an annoyed look Apple Bloom asked if she knew that Dusk had two ticket to the Galloping Galla. Say what now? Apple Jack said. Confused. With that the youngest daughter of sweet Apples repeated and told her older sister of Dusk getting two tickets to the Grand Galloping Gala whom he gave to Spike which he in turn gave one to Sweetie Bell. With her eyes widening in surprise. A.J Apple Bloom Where Dusk got the tickets. Well Spike told me he got them From Princess Celestia. With that Apple Jack reeled back from when he received a letter from the Princess. Just than Apple Bloom Asked if she was assured her she was fine but had to check on something. As she looked for the letter Dusk threw away in the outside trash can. As she found it she read and confirmed her suspicions. So Dusk had two tickets to the gala. She thought. He gave them to Spike which he one to my friends sister. Now how do I get Dusk to give me one them? She asked herself. Over hearing what older sis was saying. Apple Bloom asked A.J what she was saying. Oh uhh.. I was wonderin if Dusk could give me a ticket to the Gala sense if we can get those rich higher upper people to invest in our farm. Why should we do that? A.B asked. Well once we get them to invest,can more newer things and get more done around here. But how am I goin get Dusk to give me one them tickets?thats it. Apple jack said as she hatch up a plan and went inside.
Inside the solon/boutique Rarity heard the entrance bell ring as she asked. Sweetie Bell is that you? Its me. She replied. So whats going on? Rarity Asked. Oh not too replied. Just hanging out with Apple Bloom and scootaloo. I see. Rarity said. But we also met Spike and Dusk who were Sweet Apple ranch. Curious Rarity asked. How are they. There fine. Oh.. Sweetie ask her older sis if she can you make her a a fancy dress? Rarity said she could but ask whats the occasion was. It's for thats going on in Canterlot. Canterlot? Rarity Said with disbelief,but still wanted to know of the event that her sister was supposedly going. It's the Grand Galloping Gala. Rarity looked shock but said. Sweetie I know you like going to parties and dressing up but.. How are you planing to go in?y You need a ticket. Gots my ticket right here. She held it up. Rarity was now in more disbelief as her heart sank. Her younger sister had a ticket to the most famous and formal gathering in all of Equestria. Stuttering Rarity managed to ask how she got the ticket. Sweetie explained she got from Spike who also received it from Dusk who got it from the princess. Curious Rarity if Celestia offered any more tickets to the event. Which Sweetie Bell responded. Afraid not there were only two. Rarity was silently sadden when she heard of this. Now if excuse Sweetie said to older sis. I want to do some things. As she walked pass her and into her room. Rarity wondered how she could get a ticket of her own to the Gala as it was her desire to be in the formal event. With that she got an idea. said. Must not forget my spray bottle. As she grabbed it.
As the day wore on the sun was nearly setting Dusk was reading one of his books when he heard a knock at the door. As Spike opened it Pinkie stood out front. Seeing her Dusk hoped her visit would be short,as she said to him. Hi Dusky. She said in her usual greeting. With a brief bemuse stare Dusk said. Hi Pinkie whats going on? He asked her. Oh nothing. She replied. I just wanted to tell you the girls and I have decided to have breakfast together as little get together. Well have fun. Dusk told her as he was about to close the door,however Pinkie held it with her hand and foot As stuck her hand and her head poped in. As she said. Oh Dusky. She said in her usually happy cheery voice. Sighing Dusk said to her. What is it you want now? Well… Pinkie said as she pushed the door opened.I was hoping maybe you could I don't know….Join us. After hearing this Dusk thought and said. Sorry I have a lot to do. Now if you please..He was about to close the door When Pinkie said. Oh come on Dusky. She told him Don't you get bored being in here all the time? Well.. Dusk said to her. Old habits are hard to kill. He told her. With a pleading look she said. As there two finger overlapped each other like a hand shake. After that Pinkie told Dusk she looked forward to seeing him as she and him closing the door. While walking away Spike asked. What was that about? Before Dusk could answer both heard anther knock at the door. Dusk with now with a agitated face rushed to the front door to give what he thought was Pinkie, A Piece of his mind. However once he opened the door he was surprised to see Rainbow As she said. Hey egg head. With Dusk's agitation turned into annoyance as he looked at with a deadpan face as he said. Hey Rainbow. As he looked around. Kinda late out to practice flying. He told her. No no. She said. I just wanted to tell you me and the girls are heading to breakfest tomorrow at Ponyville café,if you like to join it would be great. So what do you say?Not telling Dash about Pinkie's encounter. Dusk said he would come. Great ! She said. See ya tomorrow. As she flew off. Closing the door again The new Prince of Equestria was about to walk away before he heard the familiar sound of the knocking on the door. Hearing that Dusk became frustrated but tried to keep his composer as he opened his door. Howdy. Apple Jack said as she saw the Equestrian Prince. Upon looking at him A.J. ask with a concern look on her face. You alright? You seem a bit annoyed. Im told her. I've been trying to get some of my reading done but I have had some distractions of late. So what beings you here? Dusk asked Apple Jack as if he didn't already know. Well… She told him. Me and the girls are eatin tomorrow at the Ponyville café in the mornin so I figured if you wanted to come? With the best fake smile he could muster. Dusk said. Sure I'll be glad to come. Great she slapped him on the arm. And thanks for your help earlier. Your welcome. Dusk said as she left. Before closing the door Dusk slowly closed it before opening it a little in case of anther visitor. After a fee moments of closing it Dusk barely made a step before he heard the sound of knocking. Sighing out frustration,Dusk began to think staying in the small town was an mistake as he opened the door. On the other side he saw..Ra Rar rarity. He stuttered once he saw her moist glittering skin as she said. Hello darling. Or should I say my Princely she approached him. Though Dusk was a little annoyed that she caled him that,as he told her and the other girls just address him as Dusk. Sorry to drop by unannounced but me and the girls were planing a get to together at the Ponville café and I was hopping you would show yourself. With that Dusk shook his head and told her yes he be there. With that Rarity said with a smile. Fabulous I'll see you soon. As she blew him a kiss as she left. After closing the door Dusk had his back pressed against it as he sled down. Seeing Spike asked if he was Alright. Dusk said he was fine,as he stood explain the girls wanted him to came and eat with them the next morning. After explaining that Dusk looked out the door window, and than opened it and looked looked directions and said as he closed the front door. Thats weird. Whats weird? Spike asked. Fluttershy I don't see her. Apple,Rainbow,Pinkie and Rarity came to invite me to eat,but I don't see her. Looking through the front window into the view of Ponyville,Spike turned to his brother and said. Yeah I don't see her either. Strange. Dusk said. As the sun sank into the horizon. Well I guess I'll her tomorrow with rest of the girls. Dusk said looking at the clock. He decided to finished reading his book in an hour before heading up brushing his teeth before calling it a day.
Unknown to Dusk,that far away he was being watched through the lens of of magical telescope in Canterlot castle. Hmmm strange that Fluttershy didn't appear on his door step like the others. Then again. The female voice of Celestia said. She probably doesn't know,because no one told her. Looking at a cottage near the Ever Free Forest the magical telescope showed the princess what was going on inside and spotted the pink silk haired girl brushing a white rabbit on her lap. After a few moments of watching Celestia yawned and decided to call it a night. Though a bit flustered she assured herself that everything will happen as planed. As she went to sleep in her chambers. In the night as the moon looked down on Equestria A feminine shadow appeared on it as the voice of Princess Luna sighed and said. What is my elder sister up to this time? As the night went on.
