(A/N: I do not own Paw Patrol, enjoy!)
"Oh look, another snow plan" Everest yipped happily as she flipped thought the book.
"You say that like you are surprised that there is more than one plan I had involving snow" Marshall softly laughed.
"Yeah, well the last one wasn't real snow" Everest pouted before giving Marshall her beast pleading eyes. "Does this plan have real snow?"
"Well, yes" Marshall replied, curious where Everest was taking this.
"So, take me in the snow!" Everest yipped happily. "My heart I mean" Everest clarified as Marshall instantly blushed as red as his fire truck from his nose to tail.
"As you wish" Marshall replied when he could speak again.

Snow Tough - 77
This is it, today is the perfect day Marshall thought to himself as he looked at the morning weather report. The storm the previous night had dumped no less than seven inches of magical white powder on Jake's mountain in the first storm of the winter season. So obviously it was the day that Everest was the happiest as it signaled the start of her favorite season.
"Ryder!" Marshall yipped excitedly as he bounded over to his leader.
"What's up Marshall?" Ryder asked nonchalantly.
"The first snow fell last night on Jake's mountain" Marshall yipped, "can I go up and play with Everest?"
"That is fine with me," Ryder replied, "but let's call Jake and ask."
"Ok!" Marshall yipped as he bounced alongside Ryder.
Ryder shook his head and smiled at Marshall's unbridled exuberance as he called the mountain man. "Hey Jake, how is it going?"
"Pretty sweet dude" Jake replied, "we got seven inches of fresh powder last night and it might actually stick for a bit. I've got Everest out clearing the roads so people can come up."
"Would it be alright if a certain pup comes up too?" Ryder asked, nodding at the bouncy Dalmatian next to him.
"Please Jake!" Marshall begged.
"It's alright with me dudes" Jake replied, "just be ready in case someone gets hurt and you have to cut your play time with Everest short."
"Always ready for a ruff ruff rescue!" Marshall barked in reply before dashing for the slide. His paw slipped on the floor and he did an accidental flip onto the slide. Ryder and Jake laughed as they heard Marshall's fire truck tires squeal as he abruptly departed the lookout.
Everest had just about reached the end of the snow when she saw Marshall's fire truck speeding towards her. Everest smiled as she pulled off to the side of the road. "Hi Marshall!" She greeted him cheerily as he skidded to a stop next to her.
"Hi Everest!" Marshall replied, "how goes the snow plowing?"
"Just finished the road coming down," Everest replied, "I still need to do the road going up. Is there an emergency or anything?"
"Yes!" Marshall replied, "there is all this fresh snow just waiting to be played in!"
Everest giggled at Marshall's exuberance as she tried to hide how excited she was as well. "It's just fluffy white stuff, what's so fun about that?"
"Just think of all the things we can do," Marshall said animatedly, "snowboarding, sledding, snowball rights, making snow pups, snow igloos, snow…"
"Ok, ok," Everest giggled again, "we'll be here all day if I let you list all the things for us to do. Get out of the way so I can keep plowing."
No sooner had the words left her muzzle than Marshall had already moved his fire truck out of her way. Everest spun her snowcat around and started back up the hill. Marshall was following as the closest safe distance behind her as his mind continued to race.
Ok, great, she doesn't suspect anything Marshall thought to himself. Just an ordinary day of us playing in the snow. And I know that a snowrific opportunity will present itself to tell her how I feel. Marshall started to breathe faster when he thought about that part of his plan. But we are not stopping or going inside until the right moment presents itself and I tell Everest how I feel about her Marshall promised himself.
It did not take long for Everest to finish plowing the road and soon they were parked in front of Jake's cabin.
"So, what do you want to do first?" Marshall asked, his tail already wagging in anticipation.
"Snowboarding," Everest replied without a second thought.
"Then get your board" Marshall replied as he jumped up into his truck and grabbed his own board and gear.
"You knew that was going to be first, didn't you?" Everest laughed as she ran inside. She emerged a couple minutes later, geared up and ready to go. Marshall had his gear on already so the two ran to the nearest hill.
"Woohoo!" Everest barked happily as she launched herself down the snowy hill.
"Awoo!" Marshall howled as he launched himself down behind Everest. The two pups were in snow heaven as they rode the virgin snow.
"This is so perfect!" Everest barked happily as she did a spin off of a snow bank.
"Check this out!" Marshall yipped as he did a kick flip off of another bank.
"Whoa, have you been practicing?" Everest asked, surprised by the unexpected increase in Marshall's skills.
"I've been surfing with Zuma a lot," Marshall admitted, "now check this out!"
"Wait, Marshall, that bank isn't…" Everest's warning was cut off as Marshall plunged into the snowbank with a giant poof of snowy powder. Everest stopped next to the outline of a Dalmatian on a snowboard that was now imprinted in the snowbank.
"I'm good!" Marshall yipped happily as his head popped out of the snow.
"Great, because we only just started" Everest yipped as she took off down the hill again with Marshall in pursuit.
The two pups snowboarded until Jake called them in for lunch. "How is it looking out there?" He asked as the two pups shook the snow from their fur.
"Epic" Everest replied happily.
"Totally pawsome" Marshall added.
"Great," Jake replied, "so scarf some food down before you get back out there."
"What do you want to do next?" Marshall asked between bites.
"How about we go on a hike and look for all the animals?" Everest suggested.
"Sounds great!" Marshall replied ecstatically. The duo quickly finished and ran back outside. Their scarves remained on their hooks inside.
The two pups bounded through the snow until they were away from the light of the cabin. They both slowed to a slow walk as the stillness of the forest settled around them. The sunlight reflected off of the snow, bathing everything in light. Their paws crunching lightly in the snow, Marshall and Everest began looking for animals.
"No one here" Marshall said as he pulled his head out from a log.
"A good thing too," Everest replied with a giggle. "A family of skunks used to live there."
"Oh" Marshall replied in surprise. He liked skunks but was allergic to them. "Good thing I didn't disturb them then."
"That would have been a little stinky" Everest giggled in agreement as they kept going.
As the day wore on, they found many animals, including Skye's bunny friends and Little Hootie visiting some friends. The temperature continued to drop.
Marshall and Everest came to the top of a hill. As Marshall was looking, Everest got a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Think fast!" she yipped.
Marshall spun around just in time to take a snowball to the muzzle. "Whoa!" he yelped as the snowball threw him off balance and he tumbled down the hill.
"Nice catch!" Everest laughed as she ran down after him. Marshall had ended up buried in a snow drift. Silence answered her.
"Marshall?" Everest asked, now concerned that against all odds he had actually gotten hurt. The Husky peered into the snowdrift…
And was rewarded with a snowball to the muzzle of her own. "That's for the cheap shot!" Marshall laughed playful as he jumped out of the snow drift and resumed launching snow balls.
"You'll pay for that!" Everest barked back as she ducked to avoid a chilly missile and returned fire.
Marshall dashed between the trees, weaving and dodging the snowballs flung in his general direction. Everest soon lost sight of him and skidded to a stop. "Where are you, Marshall?" Everest whispered to herself as she stalked his paw prints in the snow.
The paw prints soon led to three bushes all in a row. Each bush also happened to be under a tree branch laden with snow. There was also a telltale sound of chattering teeth coming from the middle bush.
"I see someone has taken lessons on how not to be seen" Everest said gravely. "What a poser of a problem. I do not know which bush Marshall is behind, but I shall soon find out."
Everest lobbed a snowball at the branch over the left bush, causing the snow to drop with a thud. The teeth chattering increased in volume.
Everest lobbed a second snowball at the right branch. The teeth chattering seemed to skip a beat as the snow thudded to the ground.
Everest was grinning ear to ear as she casually tossed the last snowball…
The teeth chattering was drowned out by the snow crashing to the ground. "Did I guess right?" Everest yipped playfully as she hopped up to the mound of snow.
Marshall's head popped out of the pile. "I-I tithink y-you kn-knew w-w-where I was the w-w-whole t-time" Marshall stammered between chattering teeth.
"Let's get you warmed up before you catch a cold" Everest said, grabbing Marshall's scruff in her jaws and helping him out of the snow pile.
"I'm f-fine" Marshall said firmly.
Everest just shook her head and smiled as they walked back to the cabin for dinner.
"Why don't we go to the lake and watch the stars come out?" Marshall asked after they had dinner.
"Last one there is an ice cube!" Everest yipped in reply as she darted for the door. Marshall was half a length behind her.
The pups ran all the way to the lake. Everest came to a stop right at the edge. As she turned around, she felt Marshall run into her from the side, sending both of the sliding out onto the ice. Both pups were over taken with laughter as they spun out towards the center of the lake.
"I knew that was going to happen" Everest giggled when they finally stopped. The Husky rolled onto her back to look up at the stars.
"Sorry about that" Marshall said as he tried to stand. His paws were slipping all over underneath him. "Whoa-whoa-wha-a-oa!"
"Move slower" Everest giggled, turning to watch as Marshall awkwardly made his way over towards her.
Finally, Marshall flopped over near Everest and turned over onto his back to look up at the stars. "Wow, it really is beautiful."
"Yeah, it is just so clear up here" Everest replied with a smile.
The pups were quiet for a bit as more and more stars came out.
"Truly breathtaking" Marshall softly said after a while, "but not the most breathtaking thing I've ever seen."
"What is more breathtaking?" Everest asked, not taking her eyes off the sky.
"You" Marshall said softly.
—
"Very smooth" Everest said with a smile, "but there is one thing you forgot about."
"What's that?" Marshall asked in surprise.
"The ice always gets a vote" Everest replied with a smirk on her face.
—
"Marshall, are you flirting with me?" Everest asked coyly.
"I think so" Marshall said, unsure of himself. "Am I not doing it right?"
"No, you are doing it right" Everest said as she rolled over to face him. Marshall was still looking up at the sky. "But it might work better if you were looking at me when you said it."
"I would love to be looking at you" Marshall replied, "but I think I'm stuck to the ice…"
"What?" Everest yelped in surprise. She reached out a paw to touch Marshall. Sure enough, his head was stuck to the ice, along with his neck and back.
Everest jumped up and quickly checked the rest of Marshall. He was fully frozen on his back against the ice.
"I think we need to call the others to come get you out" Everest said, getting ready to swipe her tag.
"Why don't you just kiss me?" Marshall asked.
"What?" Everest said in surprise. "Marshall, now is not the time to be flirting!"
"I'm being serious" Marshall replied, "it works in the movies."
"This isn't a movie, Marshall" Everest replied seriously.
"But there is actually a scientific basis" Marshall replied. "Kisses are known to excite individuals, which leads to increased blood flow and leads to a general warming. Maybe it would be enough to get me free."
Everest looked at him skeptically. "Ok, we'll try it" she finally said. Everest came and stood over Marshall and looked down in his eyes. Everest leaned down and pressed her lips against Marshall's.
Both pups closed their eyes as they kissed. It started awkward, but started to grow in intensity as their inner feelings took over. Everest pressed her muzzle more firmly against Marshall's muzzle, sinking down until she was laying on top of him.
Presently, Everest felt water on her paws. In surprise, she broke off the kiss. The water on her paws was ice cold.
"I think it worked" Marshall said with a smile as he gently squirmed from side to side.
"Let's get you out of here" Everest said, her rescue sense kicking back in. She helped Marshall up and then helped him get off the ice.
"Brrrrr!" Marshall shivered as they reached shore and looked back.
"We need to get back to the cabin to get you dry and warm" Everest said as she noticed ice crystals starting to form in Marshall's fur.
"I'm good" Marshall said. "I can take the cold just like you can."
Everest sighed, "no, you can't Marshall. Your short fur is nowhere near enough to keep you warm. Even I'm cold and missing my scarf. You should have a scarf and a sweater and possibly more layers than that."
"I don't need those when I have you to keep me warm" Marshall teased.
Everest giggled and leaned over to kiss Marshall again. She noticed the ice crystals started to melt immediately. "Then let's go back and see how warm I can really make you…"
—
"I told you it was a medical fact" Marshall said with a smile.
"Are you saying I need to kiss every hypothermic patient I find in the snow?" Everest flirted.
"Not at all, just ones that would be excited by it" Marshall replied.
"Right, so just male pups?" Everest giggled.
Marshall opened his mouth to respond but realized the glaring problem with his theory.
"Don't worry babe" Everest said as she pulled Marshall in close. "I'll save my special warming kisses for you alone."
A/N: Special thanks to Bluewolfbat for the idea for this plan. Got an idea for a plan? Let me know!
