NEW CHAPTER?! NO WAY!
I would say the reason I haven't posted is that I didn't have any ideas… or that I wasn't motivated… but the honest truth is that I'm just lazy, and then Persona 3 reload came and everything went to shit. Great game btw still playing through it.
Writing the description for the outfit is a pain in the ass. I suck at describing outfits so I decided not to really describe it too deeply, if you want you can fill in the gaps so the outfit looks better in your mind… And if you have Aphantasia… Good luck.
Anyway, the costume is based (or maybe almost ripped off) on Platinum's from Arknights, but without that large piece of cloth with the logo and with some other modifications like the boots and the mask. Use your imagination as best as you can.
I might even come back to modify the outfit if I don't find it fitting enough, suggestions are accepted and appreciated.
If I kept thinking about the costume this chapter would've never been finished.
If there are any grammar mistakes, please point them out so I can fix them.

Looking at herself in the mirror of the bathroom, she checked for any possible errors with her costume. 'Hmm… I think it looks good…' She thought.
The costume consisted of a dark body suit that covered everything except her head, it was made of a resistant material that wouldn't break easily, It wasn't really meant to be seen that much, only serving as a protective layer. On top of the bodysuit, she wore a pair of white colored shorts, a buttoned shirt of the same color inspired by the Japanese military parade uniform that didn't cover the belly button, and a pair of steel-toed boots that went up to the knees 'Those guys at wherever they make the costume really suggested heels on the boots… Do they want me to fall over?' Kei never got used to heels.
Apart from the main outfit was a large sand-colored hooded cape that she wore to blend in with the sand stored in a small container hanging from her belt. 'I don't think I'll need it too much though'
And to finish off the outfit… Kei approached the suitcase that contained her outfit, in one of the compartments was a mask, it had no apparent holes to breathe and see, but according to the manufacturer, it could be worn without problems. The mask had a red dot where the nose was, with four wave-like patterns coming down from the top of the mask and ending at the same level as the nose, a long line crossed the bottom of the mask where the mouth was, with two more lines imitating fangs connected to the mouth.
'Plagiarizing at its finest' The mask was originally worn by Shizue Izawa from the novel Tensura, but the fox-girl, noticing how Tensura either didn't exist or was lost media, decided to copy the design for her outfit.
Checking one last time that everything was in order, Kei walked out of the bathroom and to the bus leading to ground beta.
As Kei looked around the bus, a single thought came to her mind: 'Where do I even look…'
She honestly did not remember any of the costumes of any of the characters, so when everyone finally got together on the bus, the first one she noticed was the actual leotard being worn by one Yaoyorozu. 'I mean, I know it's basically a necessity to use her Quirk… But holy shit how can she remain so elegant and unabashed in that getup?!'
The rest of the girls weren't much better, with the only outlier being Jiro.
Asui, Uraraka, and Ashido all wore skin-tight bodysuits 'At least Uraraka seems a bit embarrassed' Kei guessed, seeing how Uraraka pulled on her costume quite a lot.
'Then there's her…' The elephant in the room, the floating pair of boots and gloves that is Hagakure. 'How is she ok with this?! She's literally naked!' Granted she IS invisible, but that doesn't make it any less uncomfortable.
'Not that I'm much better anyway' Kei looked over her outfit once again. Like most of the women in 1-A, her hero costume highlights to a certain degree her body, especially in the midriff area. While the black bodysuit made the features hard to distinguish, if one looked hard enough, one would be able to see the outline of her navel.
The only reason she covered her body in a bodysuit was because having sand pelt you in the body was quite annoying and uncomfortable, if it wasn't for that, she would've subbed it for a pair of stylish thigh highs.
She is quite proud of her body after all.
'Maybe one day when I have better control over my sand…'
in terms of outfits, the men were much simpler in what they were going for, that being "coolness". 'Or "edginess"' She thought looking at Tokoyami
There were two standouts in the group of men though, one being the example of the best hero costume, and the other the worst.
First is Ida. 'How dare he wear such a cool hero costume! He looks amazing!' Easy to say Kei is a sucker for armor. 'The practical type of armor though' And Ida's armor is quite practical for someone like him, a speedster.
'10/10. Don't get rid of the helmet please please please please please ple-'
Onto the bad one… 'Why would you do this to yourself, Todoroki…' It wasn't the clothes themselves, or that they didn't fit him… it was… 'Why does he have half of his body covered by ice?! It looks hideous! I don't care if he thinks it looks cool, or intimidating, or if it is some kind of statement. Have some self-respect goddammit!' Kei fumed.
"You look Irritated, Inari-chan" Asui said, looking at Kei with the same soul-peering look that she always seemed to wear.
"It's nothing to be worried about, Asui. I'm just miffed about something" Kei said.
"Tsu is okay," Tsuyu said, still wearing the same expression.
'How does she do it…' Kei thought.
"We've arrived, kids!" The bus driver said as the door of the bus opened, leaving 1-A to leave the vehicle in a disorderly manner, much to Ida's annoyance.
1-A entered Ground Beta as a group. Funnily enough, no one was talking. Kei could almost hear the epic music as Aoyoma, Asui, Ida, Uraraka, and Bakugo all walked beside each other for some reason. I don't remember them clicking this early… Either way, I can barely remember anything from the anime. Where's Midoriya?'
"They say the clothes make the man, young men and Ladies." All Might said as he watched us enter. "Be fully aware, from now on you are heroes!"
'Does humiliating a kidnapper count as already being a hero?'
"That's great, everyone. You all look cool!" The greatest hero said, looking at each and every single one of the future heroes. If he thought something about the questionable choice of garments some of them chose, he did not say it. "Now, shall we begin, you zygotes?"
"Oh, Deku?" A certain perpetually blushing girl said.
"Urara-...!" Midoriya was about to say something, before stopping and furiously blushing when he noticed Uraraka's costume. It seemed he was working overtime trying to look at only her face. When noticing it was impossible, he tried focusing his gaze anywhere else, to no avail since anywhere he looked there was one of his female classmates in a similar situation to Uraraka.
Kei gave him an amused smile when his gaze lingered on her, Midoriya looked away almost instantly. 'He is a growing boy after all. Hormones are a bitch.' She would know. Going through puberty once again wasn't as fun as she remembered, though at least she is more aware of it and is able to better control her urges.
'Fuck puberty'
"Now, it's time for your combat training!" All Might announced.
"Teacher! This is a battle center from the entrance exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?" Ida asked.
"No, we're going to move two steps ahead!" The number one hero proceeded to explain how most of the villains act indoors and in the shadows. For this exercise, everyone will be paired with another student and fight another pair in a "Heroes vs Villains" scenario, one team being the villains, while the other is the heroes. The fight would take place in a building.
"Without basic training?" Asui asked.
"This is a real battle to understand those basics!" All Might exclaimed. "However, the key this time is that there's no robot you can just beat up."
"How will wins and losses be determined?" "Can we beat them up anyway?" "Will the punishment be expulsion like with Mr. Aizawa?" "How shall we be split up?" "Isn't this cape crazy?"
'It is.'
"I'll answer all your questions!" All Might said, overwhelmed by the amount of inquiries.
The fight would take place in a building, the villains will hide a fake nuclear weapon somewhere in the hideout. The heroes win by either capturing the villains or making contact with the weapon, while the villains will have to defend the weapon or catch the heroes to win.
"Teams and opponents will be determined by drawing lots!" All Might said, presenting a yellow box with the word "Lots" written in it.
"They are being decided so haphazardly?!" Ida asked in bafflement.
"Pros often have to create makeshift teams with other heroes from other agencies. So maybe that's why?" Midoriya explained to Ida.
"I see. The discernment to look ahead… Please excuse my rudeness!" Ida said, bowing in apology to All Might.
"It's fine. Let's do this quickly!" He said, pumping his fist into the air.
Everyone took a slip out of the box, resulting in the following teams:
Team A - Ochaco Uraraka & Izuku Midoriya
Team B - Eijiro Kirishima & Fumikage Tokoyami
Team C - Yuga Aoyoma & Hanta Sero
Team D - Katsuki Bakugo & Tenya Ida
Team E - Toru Hagakue & Kyoka Jiro
Team F - Rikido Sato & Mashirao Ojiro
Team G - Tsuyu Asui & Koji Koda
Team H - Momo Yaoyorozu & Shoto Todoroki
Team I - Mina Ashido & Mezo Shoji
Team J - Kei Inari & Denki Kaminari
Kei searched for the person who also had J, finding Kaminari. "Guess we're a team now. Kei Inari, It's good to meet you." She said, extending her hand to Kaminari
"D-Denki Kaminari. Nice to meet you, Inari. Y-You have a pretty name." Kaminari said with a light dust of pink on his cheeks, the last part being barely a whisper, the only reason Kei could hear it being her enhanced hearing.
'What's with the stuttering?' Kei wondered, clueless.
"Umm… So how about we strategize? We still don't know who we will fight, but we can familiarize each other with our quirks." He said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Yeah, that's a good idea." Kei agreed. "You can use electricity, right? What is your limit?"
"I can coat myself with electricity, but I can't control it once it's out of my body, It'll go everywhere…" He answered with a sheepish tone.
"It's good that sand doesn't conduct electricity very well then, I don't wanna get zapped," Kei said, her face thoughtful. 'No one here knows what I'm capable of at this moment, so I'm confident I can deal with whoever we fight by myself if I'm really careful, but I don't wanna show my cards just yet, the Sports Festival is on the horizon after all… Also don't wanna do everything by myself, this is a team exercise after all'
"I have an idea that could work, and we will both shine," Kei said, a malevolent grin on her face. She approached Kaminari and whispered to him, Kaminari blushed furiously, but Kei did not notice as she was not looking at him.
"I can use my sand to completely fill the building, impeding our opponent's vision, then I will guide you to them and you zap them! Easy win. What do you think?"
Somehow through the thrumming of his heart, Kaminari still heard Kei's plan, and he had to say, it was great. It would be fast and effective. "What about you? If you are too close, I could hurt you…" He asked.
"I don't have to follow you, I'll guide you from the outside so I don't get in your way" She answered
"... That sounds great! We might as well already be the winners at this point!" He laughed, and everyone else looked at them with interest.
"The first team to fight will be… these guys!" All Might said, pulling out two balls, a black one with the letter D, and a white one with the letter A. "Team A will be the heroes, and Team D will be the villains. Everyone else, head toward the monitor room."
Everyone followed All Might to the monitor room, except the teams to fight. Midoriya and Bakugo glared at each other like the good anime protagonists they are.
'Can't believe there are people that ship these two… well, to each their own.' Kei thought. 'This fight will be a shitshow…'
It was a shitshow.
Kei honestly did not expect this fight to be so crazy. The way Bakugo and Midoriya threw each other around was painful to watch. She was glad she wasn't anywhere close when Midoriya threw that full-power punch, the crunch of his bones breaking would have been unbearable to hear.
"What the heck?…" Kei heard Kaminari say "The losers are practically uninjured… and the winners are on the ground…"
"They lost the battle. But won the war, huh?" Tokoyami said.
"This is training, though."
A while later, Uraraka, Bakugo, and Ida came back. Uraraka looked sick, probably from overusing her Quirk, and Bakugo seemed as if his whole world came crashing down on him.
"The MVP for this battle was young Ida!" All Might announced. He asked if anyone knew why, to which Yaoyorozu gave an explanation that Kei honestly did not even bother listening to, though, by the end of it, Ida looked proud of himself.
"All right everyone, let's change locations and start the second match. Tackle this training after thinking about what we just talked about." The secret skeleton said, before putting his hands in the box and taking out two balls.
"The villains will be team J! While the heroes will be…"
'Shit… We're fucked'
"Team H!" He announced, suddenly everyone was interested in the next battle.
"Kaminari, we will have to be careful. Our opponents are Yaoyorozu and Todoroki, they are not to be underestimated" Kei said, nervousness laced in her words. Kaminari also looked nervous.
'Of all the people I could fight, why did it have to be the fucking overpowered Zuko expat?!'

First shorter chapter, I won't make myself write a minimum of 4000 words.
Is this still a Semi-SI? Whatever, it is because I say it is.
Even if MHA is set in Japan, and the characters are supposed to be speaking Japanese, I prefer to not add suffixes since I don't find a need for them when I'm literally writing in English. But I couldn't find a way to replace the usual "-chan" that Asui uses to refer to most people, so I decided to break the rule and just use it when she is talking.
If there is any other character that does something similar I'll see if I can find a suitable replacement that doesn't sound weird, else I'll just stick to the suffix.
I didn't change the Midoriya vs Bakugo fight because I think that that fight is important enough that it warrants keeping it as is, the rest of the teams have been randomized, so no, I didn't purposefully put Yaoyorozu and Todoroki in the same team. The fights were also randomized. The moment I saw Kei was supposed to fight Momo and Shoto, I knew it would probably be a shitshow.

I thought it would be funny for him to have a one-sided crush on our Miss MC. Don't worry though, this won't become a love triangle type of scenario, our MC is a lesbian after all. Also, I'm a die-hard DenkixKyoka shipper, so while it won't be an important part of this fanfiction, maybe I can add one of my favorite shipping pairs as a subplot? Who knows, I'll think about it. Don't get your hopes up. (Sorry MomoxKyoka fans, I know you guys love that pair, I also do, but not as much as the other one. Hopefully, the main scissor pair is enough for your heart)
