Hello everyone. I finally managed to upload this correctly. I am planning to change the first chapter to 3-person and step away from present tense. Someone was sweet enough to comment it would be better since it's easier. So thanks. So here is the rest of the ride and the sorting. I will comment on that in the end. Hope my grammar isn't to bad.

Chapter 2 - The houses

Harry:

Harry decided to admit it. She must already be suspecting it given his first question, he thought. Why would he ask about the Potters if he grew up in their world? Or his world now.

"I was raise by my mother sister, my aunt, and her husband. They are both muggles so I didn't even now magic was real a month ago."

Harry could clearly tell that it surprised her.

"That's strange. Everyone seems to think you live with some distant Potter. And if the books are to be believed you fight evil wizards and dragons in your free time," she added the last part with a smile, so she didn't believe everything she read. He quickly found himself already warming up to the girl. Harry blamed Dudley. Maybe if he had friends before this he wouldn't like Elowyn that much. My head got stuck on the last piece of information. There were books about him. He didn't like that one bit. He had never met a wizard og witch, so people, that had never met him, wrote books about him. And they had him fight dragons and more evil wizards. That was defamation, people were now going to have unreal expectations for him.

"Yes, when I am done with the gardening, I usually wrestle with dragons, you know" he joked. "So can you tell me about the houses?" Harry asked. After what he had seen from the boy and Hagrid, neither seemed unbiased. Elowyn seemed a little more reliable.

"There are four houses; Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Hufflepuffs are usually considered hard-working, honest, impartial and loyal people. Many seem to think Hufflepuff takes the spares, like any of the founders would settle for that. The most famous Hufflepuffs are Artemisia Lufkin, the first female minister of magic, Newton Scamander, very famous Magizoologist, Hengist of Woodcroft, founder of Hogsmeade. Professor Sprout, the Herbology teacher, is head of house, my family is known for being in Hufflepuff" she admitted.

Harry pondered over that. The house didn't seem to take just anyone like people assumed. But honest and impartial wasn't something he would describe himself as. He did note that Elowyn on the other hand fit both. He would guess that she was hardworking and loyal to. Hufflepuff would likely be her house. That was perfect. He wouldn't go to the same house as her but try to keep the connection so he had an insider in Hufflepuff.

"Then there is Gryffindor. A lion is brave, all in their own way, daring. They got to have nerve. Some view them as reckless, arrogant or self-righteous. Gryffindor and Slytherin also share a very strong rivalry. The headmaster, professor Dumbledore, is know for showing favoritism towards them. Celestina Warbeck, a known singer, Albus Dumbledore, who is our headmaster, Supreme Mugwump, Chief Warlock and defeated Grindelwald, and Fleamont Potter, your uncle and famous portioner were all Gryffindors."

Gryffindor didn't seem like the place for him. He noticed she named a singer one of the three most known Gryffindors. Albus Dumbledore also seemed very powerful with all those titles.

"Ravenclaws are wise, witty, intelligent and strive for knowledge. They also value originality and likes to experiment. However there are rumors they backstab because they are very competitive in their academics. They also sometimes claim intelligent people as part of their house, even if they aren't. Ignatia Wildsmith, inventor of Floo Powder, Laverne de Montmorency, inventor of multiple love potions, and Gilderoy Lockheart, author and celebrity. Many inventors are naturally from Ravenclaw.

He pondered at that. Maybe Ravenclaw was the right house. He was curious, wanted knowledge and like to be original.

"Slytherins are cunning, ambitious, resourceful and have a high sense of self-preservation. They aren't afraid to break rules as long as they don't get caught. Slytherin have many pureblood. Many think that Slytherin stands for blood purity for that reason. There have been Muggleborns in Slytherin but they are very rare. Many think Slytherins are evil since they often come from dark families. But evil and dark aren't the same thing. The snakes are hated by most other students since the badgers and eagle often side with the lions. That inspires them to be the most united house, since they have a higher risk of being cursed and unity shows strength. Merlin is by far the most famous Slytherin, however Leta Lestrange, known Auror who was killed by Grindelwald, Elizabeth Burke, a headmistress at Hogwarts are known Slytherins. So honestly all houses have their ups and downs."

Slytherin sounded like an option too. She was right, there was pros and cons with them all. However Slytherin did seem to have more cons.
