While the normal defense force was taking care of the government building and there was a task force being led by the commander of the Magitek force to go after the huge machine that was reported just outside of the city. The rest of the Magitek force under the command of Regina's mother and second in command of the Magitek forces were dealing with the average citizens. Not wanting them to be involved if things did not go as planned or be used as hostages somehow

That was where a convenient place that was already in place yet in need of testing came into play at this very moment. A means to ensure that the populace was safe but not in a manner that would alarm them unnecessarily after all.

"That right everyone just follows us as we lead to the shelter just as described in the announcement that was given some time ago" Regina's mother stated.

This was a city wide prep plan for something that could possibly endanger the entire city after all.

"Why are we doing this now was not there supposed to be a ceasefire with Robotnik's force" one citizen asked

"You are aware that getting a foe to lower their guard with talks of a ceasefire is one means of attacking them when they are least to expect it one" technomage said

"Are you saying that they are lying to us" the citizen then replied back

"They both betrayed the Overlanders of their own home, the younger Robotnik betrayed the mobians that took him in, and now was fighting us because we did not want to take a side in their war. It might be wise not to write off their claims of ceasefire entirely but should not take everything they say or do only at face value" the techomage answered back.

This was enough for the citizen that kept moving as it was better than do something like this in advance after all as you never know what was coming. Better to know the way to go in advance than try to get there in the moment when everyone would be in a panic. Even in that scenario, it was still like there would be a panic yet there was enough shelter to house the entire population of the city properly after all.

All went smoothly as they were in luck something like this was in the works already so it was relatively easy to get everyone to safety and just await the okay from the commander of both the normal and Magitek forces. That they had succeeded in their goals to handle both things properly.

Thus Regina's mom was walking through one of the shelters where they were keeping the citizens safe and preventing them from being used as a possible hostage and/or getting caught up in their attempt to thwart this plan against their city that had been discovered.

"Mom," she heard a girl say

Turning around she saw that mother and daughter that was reunited after being split apart in the evacuation to their shelters. This was something that did happen after all. They could not be completely orderly about everything after all thus after getting here family was allowed to regroup and/or discover which shelter they were taken to.

A smile came across her face as she saw this with her own family being on her mind at the moment.

'I sure hope that both of them are doing okay and that nothing has happened to either of them' she thought before turning around and continuing to look over the shelter as she had been previously.

Not knowing that would be the last time she would be able to think of them on her own. As just then a sudden and seemingly instant blast washes over them all. The bustling and noisy shelter that just a moment ago filled with people that either just trying to adjust to being here or looking for their own family. That all came to stop as silent reign over the shelter without a single person moving at the moment. This included Regina's mom whose smile had faded from her face as well as every other normal emotion she was feeling at that moment as well.

Everyone there still wore the same clothes they had been a mere moment earlier. They were no longer people anymore as they were now just roboticized Overlander all them down to the very last one. Each one of them was now just robots that stood there awaiting further orders to continue doing anything at all.

The process turned them from being organic and flesh to inanimated and metallic however their clothes did not seem to be affected by this yet they did not or more like could not care less about what they were wearing at the moment. The only thing on their minds currently was following orders and the last thing they had to one was to remain here where they were until told to do otherwise.

'Drill concluded. Returning to normal function at once' came the voice of Mecha Cream to them all over the network for the roboticized that they were now a part of themselves.

'Commands activated resuming normal functions at once' everyone in the shelters replied back at the same time

Thus the now roboticized Magitek forces were ushering the roboticized citizens out of the shelter so that they could continue doing whatever task that they were doing before this all started.

A roboticized girl was seen walking away from a roboticized woman as they were once hugging each other closely. Though they show no signs of that now as they had their task to carry out thus that gesture and actions were unwanted and unneeded. The former daugther and mother have split apart once again. Though all this the roboticized mother of Regina also so this but now thought nothing of it as she was no longer aware that she herself had a family either. She was just carrying out the order from her superior and would report back to them once they had finished carrying out their current task here.

Why they were even here and for what purpose did not matter. They were mere soldiers after all
