Chapter 3: Rivals unite. The ultimate sacrifice.

All the fairy tail members were waiting to resume the reaction. Though, there was one mage who was still stuffing his face.

"Natsu, honestly," said Lucy with a sigh. "Didn't you have enough already?"

Natsu swallowed the last bit of noodles through his throat. The dragon slayer sighed in bliss.

"Aaah, that certainly hit the spot."

"Are you finished flame brain," said Gray with a snort. "Or are planning to have dessert also?"

Natsu frowned. "Shut up Ice pop. And put some clothes on you streaker."

Gray looked at his attire. "Oh, dammit. Not again."

The ice mage began searching for his clothes. After everyone was settled in and seated. Malia started the screen.

Goku's friends try to help him up.

"Goku are you okay," asked Bulma worried.

Roshi felt ashamed of himself. "I'm sorry. I wish we could have done something. But he was just too strong."

Natsu snorted. "They could have least help. Instead of standing there like a bunch of chickens."

Erza frowned. "Natsu, not everyone is courageous. Besides, it's not like any of them would have stood a chance."

Goku gritted his teeth in pain. "NIMBUSSS," screamed Goku.

The yellow cloud listened to his friend and appeared next to him.

"Is he planning to go after him," said Juvia shocked.

"That's crazy," said Lucy with a worried tone. "He is still hurting from earlier."

"Goku, think about what you're doing," said Master Roshi with a strict tone.

"You can't fight him like this. You're hurt," said Bulma.

"I know. But, what am I supposed to do," said Goku with a hopeless tone in his voice.

Erza looked at the screen in sorrow. "Poor Goku," she thought.

"Think, there must be something," said Master Roshi with a thoughtful look.

They all helped Goku up and made him sit down on the stairs of Kame house.

"Hard to believe. After all this time we find out you have a brother. Too bad he turned out to be such a creep," said Bulma with a frown.

"Couldn't agree with you more sister," said Canna with a frown.

"So what do we do now? How do we even compete against that kind of strength," said Krillin with clenched fists?

Goku suddenly had the answer. "His tail."

The fairy tail members were confused.

Goku had a confident look in his eyes.

"That's it. That's his weak spot." Goku weakly stood up. "If I can grab it somehow. It will drain his power. At least that's how it worked for me."

"Unbelievable," said Marakov with a grin. "To think that these Saiyans have such a huge weakness."

"Yeah," said Mira with a smile. "There is still hope for them."

"But, can you," said Krillin doubtfully. "You really think you can get close to him to grab his tail?"

"Way to be such a downer, Krillin," said Lisanna with a pout.

"They haven't any other options I'm afraid," said Erza with a sigh.

Suddenly, they heard another voice. "It's useless. You can't win."

Everybody on Kame Island looked left and right for the mysterious voice. But when they looked up. They found it.

"PICCOLO," they yelled.

"Oh great. Another bad guy," said Natsu with a frown.

"Yeah, it's that ugly green dude from before," said Gajeel with a frown.

Piccolo landed on the beach. "In case you haven't noticed. His power level is nothing short of extraordinary. Far higher than ours. You're a fool if you think you can beat him alone."

All the fairy tail members looked confused. What was this Piccolo guy up to?

"However. If we were to team up. Combine our strength and face him together. Then perhaps there's hope."

All the fairy tail members were shocked.

"Wait, this Piccolo guy wants to help," said Natsu confused. "I thought he was a bad guy?"

"Yeah, this doesn't make much sense, does it," said Lucy equally confused.

"Hold on. This isn't like you. Why would you suddenly offer to help me," said Goku surprised?

"Don't get me wrong," said Piccolo with a frown. "This is business. I have no interest in helping you being a hero again. I care even less what happens to you your son."

Mira glared at the green-looking demon. "Why that son of a bitch."

All the fairy tail members chuckled nervously at Mira's words.

"Tch, I just don't want that alien monster interfering with my conquest of this planet."

"Of course, he would have a hidden motive," said Levi with a frown.

"So here's the deal. I'll join you as long as it takes to defeat these Saiyan warriors. Of course, when we are finished with that, I plan to crush you like a bug. Then continue my plans for world domination."

Marakov chuckled. "Ah, a misguided youth."

All the mages looked confused at their Master.

"What are you talking about old man," said Laxus confused.

"Listen to his voice. There is no evil intent in his words. I don't know what happened to Piccolo after his reincarnation. But he only inherited his father's powers. He isn't completely evil. He is just a lost soul. Just like you and Gajeel once were."

Gajeel blushed in embarrassment at Marakov's words.

Laxus sighed. "Well, I can't deny that."

Malia chuckled. "You are indeed correct Mr. Marakov. Piccolo Daimo may have been evil. But his son at this point has just lost his way. And in the future. The Piccolo you see before you will become one of Earth's most powerful protectors."

Natsu smiled. "Oh, that's a relief. But what makes him change his ways?"

Malia giggled. "You have to continue to watch the screen to find out."

"That won't happen," said Goku with a serious voice. "I'll make sure of it. Still, the part about teaming up is actually a good idea." Goku looks at Piccolo with a smile. "It might be crazy. But you're right. It's the only way."

"I hope you are right, Goku," said Mira worriedly.

"Then we agree. We just have to deal with it," said Piccolo with a grin.

Goku turned around and looked at Piccolo with a frown.

Piccolo smirked. "Teaming up with Goku. I only hope I can suppress my urge to vomit."

"They sure remind me of other two boys that are constantly at each other's throats," said Lucy.

As she was looking at Natsu and Gray with a sweatdrop.

Erza sighed at that. "True enough."

"Bulma. I need to borrow your dragon radar for a while."

Bulma nodded nervously. "Sure, okay."

The woman handed the device to Goku.

"Dragon radar," said Levi intrigued. "I wonder what it does."

"Duh," said Natsu with a grin. "It looks for dragons of course."

Gray snorted at Natsu's answer. "What a moron," whispered the ice mage.

Goku jumped on his Nimbus cloud.

"Hey, Piccolo. Do you think you'll be able to keep up with my flying Nimbus," said Goku with a grin.

"Hmph. Your silly little flying cloud may work for you. But my own travel method is a bit more advanced," said Piccolo with a smirk.

"Now is not the time to have a race you two. Gohan needs your help," said Mira with a glare.

The two enemies. Now temporarily Allies. Raced towards their destination.

"You know," said Lucy with a puzzled look. "I do wonder how they're going to find that Raditz guy."

Malia began to explain about the dragon radar. And what purpose it had.

"Oooh, I see." Said Lisanna with a smile. "And Gohan had a dragon ball on his head. That's how they will be able to track him down."

Great. That was smart thinking from Goku, said Levi with a grin.

The scene changed towards Goku and Piccolo who were flying through the air.

"We're getting close," said Goku. "We should try to sneak up on him."

"That won't work. The direct approach is best."

Goku looked confused. "Huh."

"He's wearing some kind of sensing device. Seems to tell him where his enemies are located. And even give him some indication of their strength."

"Man, that's certainly is a pain," said Gray.

"Yes. It looks like their only option is to confront their enemy head-on," said Erza.

Natsu smashed his fist into his palm. "That's just the way how I like it."

"So, he might already know we're coming after him?"

"I can almost guarantee he does."

Goku got a determined look on his face. "Okay then. I guess that means we don't have any other choice but to attack him head-on."

"HELL YEAH," screamed Natsu. "Finally some action."

The scene changed towards Raditz. Who was eating a piece of fruit.

"Again," said the evil warrior annoyed.

His scouter was blipping rapidly. Raditz looked at his spaceship. Different numbers came on his green screen. And it pointed at his spaceship.

"Same reading as before. A power level of 710. Grrr, damm scouter," said Raditz angrily.

Mira glared at the evil Saiyan. "Did he put Gohan in his filthy spaceship? What if he has claustrophobia."

Erza looked surprised. "Wait, did Raditz just say that Gohan had a power level of 710?"

All the mages looked shocked at that.

"What? But he's only four," said Lucy amazed.

Natsu smirked. "Well, he is Goku's son."

Raditz's scouter suddenly began to beep again.

"Two more readings," said Raditz shocked. "And they both are headed this way. Yes, they're fast. Power levels of 322 and 334. The larger one. That reading is the same as Kakarot's. But it couldn't be him. Could it? No. There's no way he's stupid enough to think he can defeat me."

"Well, clearly you have never met someone like Natsu before," said Lucy with a grin.

"Heeey," said the dragon slayer with a pout. "I don't rush into battle without thinking all the time."

"Could have fooled me," said Gray with a grin.

Natsu glared at his rival. "You wanna fight, stripper?"

Gray was suddenly in Natsu's face. "Bring it Pinky."

Erza glared at the two. "What have I said about fighting amongst each other."

The two suddenly embraced each other in fright.

All the mages chuckled at that.

"And besides. He couldn't find me even if he wanted to," said Raditz. "I give up. This thing is completely busted."

Raditz's scouter suddenly began to beep rapidly. Raditz quickly turned around in shock. He saw Goku and Piccolo flying towards him.

"Impossible. He's here. But that means," said Raditz as he looked at his spaceship in shock.

All the mages grinned at that.

"Yeah, that means you're toast hedgehog," said Gajeel with a smirk.

All the mages sweatdropped at the iron dragon slayer's words.

Levi giggled. "You know Gajeel. You have long and spikey hair too."

Gajeel snorted. "Maybe, but at least my hair gets a haircut once in a while. This guy looks like he hasn't seen a barber for years."

Gajeel turned at Levi with a charming grin.

"Besides, I never heard you complaining about my hair. Especially when we have our private moments."

Levi was blushing like a tomato. "G-Gajeel. Not in front of the others."

All the mages chuckled.

"Oh my," said Lucy with a sly grin. "Levi Chan, you naughty girl."

Levi blushed from embarrassment. And hid her face into Gajeel's chest.

After the girl calmed down, they all continued to watch the screen.

Goku leaped from his flying Nimbus and did an acrobatic summersault in mid-air. He landed on the ground below with grace.

Piccolo just stopped and landed next to Goku.

"Wow, that was incredible," said Wendy with stars in her eyes.

"Goku is certainly agile," said Canna with a grin. "That gives me plenty of ideas."

Erza had a blush on her face when she heard Canna's words.

Gildarts glared at her daughter. "Over my dead body, Canna," said the Orange-haired man.

Canna grinned. "Great, then fall dead old man."

Gildarts fell down in shock.

"No, my baby girl. How could you say that to your dear old father," said Gildarts with tears in his eyes.

Canna sweatdropped at her old man's behavior.

Raditz smirked. "How did you find me?"

"That is none of your business," said Goku with a glare.

"Hmph. Fair enough. All right, I will try a different question. I'm curious. What exactly do you think you two fools are doing here?"

Suddenly Gohan was on screen. He was crying in his arms.

"Gohan," said Mira sadly. "Poor boy."

Gohan suddenly looked up when he heard the familiar voice of his father.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm here to take my son back," said Goku with a frown.

"Let me get this straight. You're one of the last remaining Saiyans, and you refuse to join the rest of your kind?"

"Goku may be Saiyan by blood. However, he was raised as an Earthling. He doesn't see you murderers as his kin," said Marakov with a frown.

"Yeah, that's right," said Natsu with a small smile. "Goku is a nice guy."

"Yeah, that's exactly what I mean."

"You're actually going against your older brother?"

"Like I said before. You're no brother of mine."

Erza nodded in agreement. "A brother would never kidnap a child. Especially when the child is family."

All the mages nodded at the Requip mage's words.

Raditz clenched the fruit in his hands.

"Kakarot. I always thought you'd have more sense than this."

Piccolo threw his cape and turban on the ground. "That's enough. I'm not interested in your little family squabble."

Raditz's scouter began to beep. "His power level just jumped to 408," thought the Saiyan with a frown.

"Wow, he's been wearing weights this entire time," Lucy said surprised.

Goku began to take off his weighted shirt, wristbands, and boots.

"I see you've still been wearing your training weights too huh Piccolo."

Canna smirked when she saw a glimpse of Goku's naked upper body.

"Yeah. Take it off."

All the girls blushed at the card mage's words.

Goku smirked when all of his weighted gear was on the ground.

"Something tells me I'm not going want to hold anything back for this one."

"Now Kakarot is all the way up to 416."

"I really want to know what my power level is," said Natsu with a grin.

Malia began to speak. "Currently, you're power is around 5000, Natsu. But I don't know how much is your full power since you are hiding your true strength."

"Huh," said the Pink-haired dragon slayer with a grin. "5000 is not a bad number. I'm stronger than the current Goku and Piccolo."

Erza nodded. "Yes, and you're still hiding your true strength like everyone else."

"Hey Malia, how strong is Gildarts," asked Gray with a grin. "Or Erza."

"Gildarts Clive has from what I can sense a power level of 18000. And Erza Scarlet has a power level of 9000. However, you all are holding back a great deal of your strength. So I can't give you all a full reading."

"Dammit old man," said Laxus with a grin. "You're tough."

Gildarts smirked. "But of course. You, youngsters, have still a long way to go before you can touch me."

Erza smiled. "Mmm, 9000 is a pretty big number. But I will continue my training to reach even greater heights."

Raditz began to laugh. "You think that little increase will be enough to beat me?"

"What," said Goku shocked.

"What fools you truly are. Coming here with those pitiful levels thinking you can take me on. I can see I'm going to have to put you both in your place."

Natsu gritted his teeth. "Damm this guy. He acts so cockily. I really wanna punch his face."

Lucy sighed. "I can't blame ya. I want to punch him too. But how strong is Raditz actually? Do Goku and Piccolo stand a chance?"

"Raditz's full power is around 1200," said Malia.

"Damm, that's a huge difference in strength," said Gray a bit frustrated.

"True," said Marakov. "Though power has a big factor in a battle. It's not the only thing that matters in a fight."

Gildarts nodded. "Correct. Let's just see what happens."

"You go ahead and try," said Goku with a grin. "Just because you are stronger than we are. That doesn't mean we can't win. You may have strength, but we have a strategy."

"A strategy," said Levi curious. "I wonder what it is?"

"I guess we will find out soon enough," said Gajeel with a stoic look.

"Then we will see how long your strategy will keep you alive. I'm sorry brother. But I was thinking about my offer. And I changed my mind."

Raditz's hair suddenly began to wave upward from the fearsome winds his body was making.

"You'll probably slow the rest of us down."

Raditz suddenly got an angry look on his face.

"AND FOR BETRAYING THE SAIYAN RACE! YOU WILL DIE!"

All mages glared at the screen.

"Goku didn't betray anyone. He decided to become a protector instead of a killer like the rest of the Saiyan race. He never considered to be one of you," said Erza with a glare.

Gray nodded. "He decided to live his life in peace. And protect the ones he holds dear to him."

Natsu clenched his fists. "Cmon Goku. And you too Piccolo. Kick this overgrown hedgehog's ass."

The two warriors got into their battle position.

Raditz smirked. With amazing speed, he appeared behind the two warriors and gave them both a strike to their backs with his elbows.

Before they fell to the ground, they quickly recovered and moved a few meters away from their opponent.

Marakov sighed sadly. "Well, that was to be expected. They can't win if they rely only on strength and speed. Their opponent outclasses them both in those areas."

"Yes. They either have to catch him off-guard somehow or slow down his movements," said Gildarts.

"His tail," said Lucy. "Remember? That's his weak spot."

"But how are they going to grab his tail if their opponent is faster than them," said Panther Lili in deep thought.

Everyone sighed at that. They didn't know the answer to that.

"I know," said Raditz with a grin. "Here in your final moments. Let me tell you a little secret."

All the mages frowned at that.

Wendy looked confused. "A secret? I wonder what it is?"

"By that evil grin on the bastard's face it can't be good," said Canna with a frown.

Raditz began to chuckle. "The other two surviving Saiyan warriors that I mentioned earlier. They both have power levels even higher than mine."

Goku and Piccolo were shocked in horror. The fairy tail members clenched their fists in frustration at the news.

Suddenly, they heard the voice of the announcer who told about Goku's past.

"What new terror is this? Even if Goku and Piccolo somehow manage to defeat Raditz. There are still two even more stronger Saiyans left to face. Is all hope lost? Keep watching to find out.

All the fairy tail members chuckled at the voice.

"That certainly was dramatic," said Erza with a smile.

"Yeah, but it certainly was entertaining," said Gray with a grin.

Malia chuckled. "I'm glad you liked it. I'm planning to put the voice of the storyteller in some scenes when either it gets excited or when things get hopeless just like now."

Natsu grinned. "Hey, you get no complaints from me. That certainly was awesome."

"Yes, though I am worried about those other Saiyans," said Mira. "They are supposed to be even stronger than Raditz."

All the mages nodded somberly.

"Yeah, it certainly doesn't look good, does it," said Lucy with a frown.

Malia chuckled. "Don't worry. Everything will turn out fine. Though there will be sad moments along the way and even hardships for Goku and his friends."

The mages sighed in relief.

"So, this has been on my mind for a while now. How long have we been here," asked Lisanna curiously.

Malia chuckled. "About two hours in here. However, in your dimension, only two minutes have gone by."

The fairy tail members were surprised at that answer.

"Only two minutes," said Lucy amazed. "That's incredible."

"Yeah, too bad the Celestial world isn't like that," said Natsu with a sigh.

Team Natsu nodded at that. They still remember how they lost so much time in there. Their training to prepare themselves for the Grand Magic games was taken from them.

"Luckily for us, we had help from Jellal and Ultear. Without them we would have never increased our strength and awakened our second Origin," said Lucy with a grin.

Erza frowned when he heard Jellal's name. She clenched her fists in anger.

Gray sighed sadly at Lucy's words. "Yeah, you're right about that." The ice mage was still saddened by Ultear's sacrifice.

"Now then, said Malia. Let's continue with the reaction, shall we?"

The mages nodded with a smile.

The scene changed towards Goku and Piccolo. Who were still in shock at Raditz's answer.

"Only now that it is too late do you understand what it is to face a Saiyan," said Raditz with a smirk. "I tried to warn you brother. I tried to ask you to see reason. But you refused to listen. And for that, you will die."

"And why should he listen to you in the first place. You not only kidnapped his son. But you also tried to make him kill humans," said Laxus with a frown.

Natsu nodded. "If he thinks Goku would die that easily. Then he is stupider than he looks."

"Heh, and even if we don't. They're still two more Saiyans out there, right," said Goku with a nervous smile.

"So what? Personally, I find the prospect exciting."

"Is he nuts," said Lucy towards Piccolo's words. "They already have a difficult time fighting Raditz. And he gets excited by the thought of fighting two Saiyans who are even stronger than him," said Lucy with a shocked look.

Elfman smirked. "Why not. That attitude is what being a man is all about."

"Yeah you would," said Goku with a nervous smile. "But exciting is probably not the word I would use right now. To be completely honest. I'm pretty terrified."

"There is nothing to be ashamed of my boy," said Marakov with a soft tone. "Even the most strongest mages will get scared sometimes. It's an emotion that everyone has."

Natsu nodded. He remembered when he faced off against Gildarts on Tenrou Island during the S-Class exams. He was scared beyond belief when Gildarts showed his true power.

"Yes. I don't blame you. I suppose I would feel the same way if I ever found myself staring death in the face," said Raditz with a smirk.

"I'm done listening to this. Where is my son? Where have you hidden him? Tell me," said Goku angrily.

Mira smiled at that. Goku was so protective of his son. It made the white-haired beauty warm inside.

"The bond between a parent and his child is truly wonderful," said Mira with a warm smile.

"I haven't hidden him anywhere. He was annoying me with his crying, so I shut him up."

"Why that good for nothing scumbag," said Mira with a glare.

"I tucked him away in my space pod in the crater behind you."

Goku levitated into the air. He looked at Raditz's space pod with a frown. "In there, huh."

"Gohan," said Goku worriedly.

All the fairy tail members looked on sadly at the scene. Marakov would probably react the same way as Goku did if one of his children was kidnapped. Though, luckily most of his children were strong enough to fend for themselves. The scene changed towards Gohan. Who was crying.

"Help daddy. I want out. Save me."

Mira's heart couldn't take any more of this. An adorable child was in trouble, and she couldn't do anything to save him. It was just a memory of long ago. But, memory or not. It still hurt the take-over mage.

"Just hang on Gohan. Daddy is going to get you out of there real soon. I promise."

Raditz began to laugh. "Don't get the boy's hopes up. You know that's a promise you can't keep. You have to get through me first. And you know that won't happen."

Gray gritted his teeth. "This guy gets annoyer by the minute."

"Juvia agrees, my love."

Gray blushed when his girlfriend put her head on his shoulder.

"By the way, my darling Gray. You somehow managed to lose your clothes again," said the water mage with a small giggle.

"Oh crap. Not again," said Gray in shock.

Natsu snorted. "What a weirdo," whispered the dragon slayer.

Goku levitated back to the ground. "Fine, let's do this," said Goku in a battle stance.

Piccolo followed his rival's movement. "Good, because I'm sick of this talk."

Two began their attack. But each punch and kick they threw at Raditz was easily dodged. Raditz vanished from sight and appeared a few meters behind them. Goku and Piccolo tried to hit him. But Raditz struck them first. He levitated vertically and hit his two opponents with his feet. They were knocked back. After recovering, they tried to hit Raditz again. But they missed him by an inch. The evil Saiyan levitated into the air.

"The strength and speed between them are just too great," said Laxus with a frown. "They haven't managed to land a single hit yet."

"True," said Erza. "But the fight is not over yet. Not by long shot."

Goku and Piccolo rushed after their opponent. But when they were almost there. Raditz smirked. He launched two purple beams from both hands toward his opponents. Goku manages to dodge at the last second. Erza and Canna sighed in relief at that. When the two blasts struck the mountains and the countryside. Huge explosions occurred that did enormous damage to the surrounding area.

Natsu was amazed. Raditz was a bad guy. That was true. But the dragon slayer had to admit. Those attacks were awesome.

When Goku landed on the ground, he looked up. But he couldn't find Raditz anymore. "Huh? Where did he go?"

Raditz appeared behind Goku with a smirk. "I'm right here."

He struck Goku with such a strong kick to his back. It made Goku land in pain on the ground a few meters from his attacker. Raditz chuckled evilly at his handy work.

"Dammit," said Gray. "This doesn't look good."

Mira nodded sadly.

Goku weakly stood up. "Damm. Hey are you okay Piccolo," said Goku.

But when he looked at his rival. He was shocked by what he saw. And not only him. All the fairy tail member's eyes widened in shock.

Wendy, Lucy, Lisanna, and Mira had their hands on their mouths at the sight. Piccolo's left arm was completely gone. Only a stump remained.

"Don't worry. It's not as bad as it looks. I only need one arm to fight."

"He still wants to fight," said Lucy surprised. "Even when he lost an arm."

Natsu grinned. His respect for Piccolo had risen tremendously.

Raditz began to laugh. "Who are you Kidding. You're half dead already."

All the mages glared at the evil Saiyan. A red aura began to appear around Erza.

"Why that bastard. It's hard to believe that Goku. Who is so kind and compassionate. Shares any blood with this pathetic excuse of a man."

Canna nodded. "That's true. Though, I guess Goku has inherited that from his mother. Gine was a kind soul."

Natsu was confused. "What do you mean? I thought Goku got his personality from hitting his head."

Lucy chuckled at his boyfriend's words. "Natsu. Just because Goku hit his head and forgot his Saiyan heritage. That doesn't necessarily mean he turned good because of it. Sure, he may have been a little rowdy and violent when he was a kid. And the fall of his head may change that a little. But his kindness and compassion for others must have come from somewhere."

Mira smiled. "That's true. And Gine was very compassionate towards Goku when he was young. There's no doubt in my mind he inherited that trait from her."

"Hey, Goku. I suppose you don't have any new tricks up your sleeves that you have been holding back."

Goku chuckled. "Yeah, I wish. Sorry I've got nothing"

"Hah, you've been slacking. Lucky for you I spent the last few months perfecting a new attack."

"A new attack," said Natsu with a grin. "I hope it's cool."

"I wonder what this new attack is capable of," said Erza with a thoughtful look.

"Who knows," said Gray. "Let's just hope it does some damage to this bastard"

"What are you two whispering about? Some new strategy perhaps. Please. Why won't you die already and quit wasting my time."

Gildarts began to lose his composure. His magic began to rise rapidly. All the mages began to sweat. They never saw Gildarts get so upset before. That Raditz guy must have pissed him off, big time.

"Gildarts," said Marakov sternly. "Calm down please."

Gildarts sighed. And he began to lower his magic power. "Sorry about that Master. I lost my composure for a bit."

Marakov nodded with a kind smile. "That's alright my boy. I can't blame you."

"Can you do this attack with only one arm," asked Goku curiously.

"Yeah, that's not a problem. But I will need time to charge up my energy. A few minutes, that's all."

"So this attack requires him to stay still and charge up his energy," said Erza with a frown. "That's certainly not a good thing. He will be a sitting duck. And his opponent can take advantage of that."

"Yes. It's certainly a risky move," said Laxus with a stoic look.

"You'll have to find a way to keep him occupied until I'm ready. Do you think you can do that?"

Goku nodded. "You got it."

"Heh," said Piccolo with a smile. "Ironically I've been saving this attack to kill you."

All mages frowned at that.

"Cmon Piccolo. You're a good guy now," said Natsu with a frown.

Gajeel snorted. "He may be one in the near future. But right now. He's only teaming up with Goku because they have a common enemy."

"And now you might end up using it to save me, huh," said Goku with a grin.

"Then consider it a preview. If we do manage to beat this guy, you're next."

"Alright, you got yourself a deal. After we win I let you take your best shot."

"No, Goku," said Erza with worry. "Don't do that."

"What a moron," said Lucy. "Goku really reminds me of Natsu."

The dragon slayer grinned. "I take that as a compliment. Goku is awesome."

Goku began to attack with everything he had. While Piccolo began charging his attack. The so-called demon King put two fingers on his forehead. Blue energy began to surround his body. And a yellow glow began to appear on his fingertips.

"Wow," said Gray amazed. "That looks to be one heck of an attack."

"Is he concentrating his energy into his fingertips," said Lucy amazed.

"Yeah, looks like it," said Mira who was equally amazed.

Goku got knocked back. But he recovered and jumped into the air.

Raditz frowned. "Aren't you persistent."

Goku suddenly began to cup his hands.

"Ka-me."

Raditz scouter began to beep. "His power level is rising," said Raditz.

"Ha-me."

A blue ball of energy began to appear in Goku's cupped hands. It began to shine brightly.

"That looks so awesome," said Natsu with stars in his eyes.

Erza smiled. "And it looks so beautiful."

Mira nodded in agreement.

Raditz looked in shock behind him at Piccolo. "What? And his too. His power level has shot up to 1020. And it's still climbing."

Goku suddenly released the energy in his hands with a powerful yell. "HAAAAA."

A blue beam came from Goku's hands and flew towards Raditz.

"What kind of attack is that," said Gray amazed.

"I DON'T KNOW. BUT IT'S SO MANLY," screamed Elfman.

Raditz tried to run from the attack. But Goku could control the beam's direction. The blue beam began to chase the evil Saiyan.

Raditz got annoyed.

"Fine let's have it," said Raditz.

The beam struck Raditz. And a huge explosion occurred.

"Yeah," said Natsu with a grin. "A direct hit."

But when the dust cleared. Raditz proved to be unharmed. Though, you could see he had to put a lot of effort into blocking it.

"Dammit, it didn't work," said Lucy in frustration.

Goku was shocked. "He deflected it."

Raditz smirked. "Neat huh. Now, can you do the same?" Raditz unleashed a red blast that struck Goku in seconds.

"GOKUUU," screamed Erza, Canna, Mira, Lisanna, and Lucy worriedly.

Goku fell down to the ground. He struggled to get up. Raditz appeared in front of Goku and tried to deliver a finishing blow. But Raditz turned around in shock at Piccolo.

"Power level 1330. Somehow he's concentrating all of his energy into his fingertips."

All the mages cheered. "Yeah, that's the way Piccolo," said Gray. "Kill that bastard."

Now normally. The Ice mage wouldn't talk so casually about killing a person. But Raditz was a Saiyan. And he probably killed a lot of people in his life. Not to mention that he kidnapped Gohan and tried to use Goku to slaughter humans. He was bad to the bone. And a menace to society. Besides, something told the ice mage that Raditz wasn't one to change his morals. They had no choice but to kill him.

Raditz got angry. "They've been holding back. They can alter their power levels at will."

"Die, Saiyan. Makankosapooo." A yellow drilling beam flew from Piccolo's fingertips.

All the mages were in shock. "What the hell," said Laxus surprised. "What kind of technique is that?"

Marakov's eyes widened. "It looks like some kind of drill."

The beam flew towards Raditz with incredible speed. A huge explosion occurred. And when the dust settled. Piccolo saw that his attack blew a huge hole into a mountain. But it missed Raditz by an inch. Though, it did make a scratch on his armor.

"Oh, cmon," said Natsu annoyed. "What the hell does it takes to kill this guy?"

"He certainly is fast," said Gildarts with a frown.

Piccolo was shocked beyond belief. "He, he dodged it."

Raditz was angry. "Congratulations. You actually managed to give me a little scratch. And for that, you will pay dearly."

Raditz began to raise his left arm. And a white ball of energy began to manifest in his hand. "SEE YOU IN HELL," screamed Raditz.

All the mages were worried for Piccolo's wellbeing.

"No, Piccolo," said Wendy afraid.

"This can't be how it ends for him," said Gray with gritted teeth.

But right before he could unleash his energy. It suddenly disappeared. And Raditz had a painful look in his eyes. All the mages were shocked.

"What happened," asked Lisanna confused.

Raditz looked behind him. He and the fairy tail mages saw a grinning Goku holding his tail.

"Hehe. You let your guard down. Now I got you by the tail," said Goku with a grin.

"HELL YEAH," yelled Natsu with a smile.

Lucy sighed in relief. "Goku took advantage of his opponent's distraction. And grabbed his weak spot."

Mira chuckled. "He certainly is something else. He must have been waiting for an opportunity this whole time."

Goku began to grip Raditz's tail even harder. The evil Saiyan fell to the ground in pain.

"How did you manage to," said the Saiyan in anguish.

"Now Piccolo I got him. Hurry up and charge up your attack again."

"Well done Goku. Now hold him still. Don't let go no matter what. I only have enough energy to use this technique once more."

"Hurray," said Happy with a smile. "Now that meanie will pay for his crimes."

Charla nodded. "Couldn't have said it better myself tomcat. Even though killing someone is a bad thing to do. I'm afraid they have no choice in this matter."

"Yes," said Marakov with a sigh. "It's never pleasant to watch someone die. But this man killed many people in his life. And is a danger to the planet and the people who live there."

Raditz suddenly did something that made the mages widen their eyes in disbelief.

"Kakarot, please. Would you really kill your only brother? Your own flesh and blood."

Natsu suddenly began to have a sad look in his eyes. "He's begging for his life."

All the more emotional fairy tail members began to feel their heartstrings getting pulled by the evil Saiyan's words.

Goku gritted his teeth. "Shut up. We've already been through all of this. As far as I'm concerned I don't have a brother. Especially not one as horrible as you. Besides, you tried to kill me first."

Laxus nodded at that. "True enough. But still. If he has remorse for doing that. Then he deserves to redeem himself."

Gray frowned. "The question is. Does he really feel remorse? Or is he trying to trick Goku?"

"Yes, yes. You're right. You showed me the error of my ways. Let me go, and I leave you and your son in peace."

"Don't be fooled Goku. He's lying. He doesn't mean a word of what he's saying. There's no way he just leaves quietly now."

The mages saw that Goku began to struggle with his morals.

"Poor, Goku. He doesn't know what to do," said Mira.

Erza nodded. "Who should he believe? His old enemy, who joined forces with him. Or his new enemy who is also his brother."

"Not one of them is the right choice I'm afraid. Whatever Goku chooses to do. We won't think any less of him."

They all nodded in agreement.

"Please, believe me, brother. It's true I've done some horrible things. I realized that. You're right to be cautious. I will leave as you say. I promise. On my life, I promise."

"Do you mean that," said Goku with a soft tone.

"I do. I swear it."

The mages looked sadly at the scene. What was Goku going to do? They could only watch to find out.

"No Goku. Don't let go of his tail. This is all a ploy," said Piccolo.

"Please Kakarot. You'll have to believe me. I'm begging you."

Those words made Goku decide his choice. He let go of his brother's tail.

"GOKUUU," yelled Piccolo angry.

The desperate look in Raditz's eyes vanished. And an evil smirk appeared on his face.

All the mages glared at that. "Dammit. I knew it was too good to be true," said Gajeel with a frown.

Natsu clenched his fist in anger. "Why that bastard."

Raditz stood up and struck Goku with his elbow. The blow made Goku fall to the ground. Raditz then appeared above Goku and began to grind his boot on his chest. Goku screamed in pain.

All the mages were horrified.

"No, Goku," said Erza with tears in her eyes.

Canna glared angrily at the screen. "Why that son of a bitch. Goku showed him mercy. And decides to pay him back by hurting him."

"You fool. In all my travels I never met anyone as stupid as you," said Raditz with an evil laugh.

Goku glared at Raditz. "You lied."

"Of course I did. I'm a first-class warrior. I do what it takes to survive without hesitation. Even if that means killing my own brother."

Lucy glared at Raditz. Her magical energy began to rise. "Why that scum. How dare he say that. Family should look out for each other. Not trying to kill them."

Natsu hugged Lucy to try to calm her down. Lucy blushed from the interaction. But it worked.

"N-Natsu," said Lucy surprised at her boyfriend's behavior. Natsu grinned. "It's alright Lucy. That bastard is already dead. This is just a memory, okay?"

Lucy sighed but nodded at her boyfriend's words.

"Shall I prove it to you?" Raditz began to stomp on Goku's chest multiple times. "And so you remember. I'll kill you nice and slow."

And each time he did. Goku let out a loud yell in agony.

The girls couldn't keep watching this. They moved their heads away from the gruesome sight.

Raditz smirked in Piccolo's direction. "Well cmon. What are you waiting for? Let's see your little attack."

"Dammit, I can't. He will just dodge it again."

Suddenly Raditz heard a cracking noise.

His space pod exploded. And Gohan landed near the top of the crater. He had an angry look in his eyes.

"GOHAN," yelled Mira worriedly. "IT'S NOT SAFE FOR YOU THERE."

"Unbelievable," said Marakov. "Did this child break out of that ship with his own strength?"

Piccolo and Raditz were shocked.

"What? What is this," said Raditz with a shocked look. "Impossible."

"Gohan," said Goku weakly. "Run. Run away. Gohan."

But Gohan didn't hear his father's voice. He became angrier and angrier.

All the mages were surprised.

"Wow. Gohan is pissed," said Canna with widened eyes.

Raditz's scouter began to beep.

"His power level," said Raditz scared. "It's at 1307."

"WHAT," screamed the mages in shock.

A red glow of energy began to surround Gohan.

"You stop hurting," said Gohan through his tears. "MY DADDY."

The child in a fit of rage blasted off from his position. And struck the evil Saiyan right in the chest.

The armor cracked at the impact. And Raditz was in incredible pain.

"WOW. THAT WAS AWESOME," yelled Natsu.

Who would ever think that a kid who's only four years old? Was capable of such a strong attack.

But just when it looked that Raditz was down. The evil Saiyan recovered from the hit.

Gohan fell to the floor next to Goku.

"Gohan," said Goku amazed at his son.

Gohan looked at his father and stood up. "Daddy," said the little boy confused.

"Did you," said Goku in surprise.

"You're hurt, daddy," said Gohan in fright.

"Heh. Goku looks so surprised at his son's strength," said Gray with a grin.

"Well of course he would," said Lucy with an amazing look. "He is only four. Yet he managed to damage an enemy that he and Piccolo could not touch."

Mira was proud of Gohan as well. But she was also worried. Raditz may have been hurt by Gohan's attack. But he was still standing.

"You," said Raditz with an angry look. "You brat."

"Go. Run away," said Goku worried. "Go, son, as fast as you can. Hurry. Please, just go."

Erza looked sadly at the scene. "I'm afraid Gohan's rush of power has vanished. He is to scared to move."

"No, Gohan," said Mira with tears in her eyes.

"What? You're kidding. Now his power has dropped down to one." Raditz suddenly realized something. "Yes. That's got to be it. It changes with his emotions."

"DON'T YOU DARE LAY A FINGER ON HIM," screamed Mira Angrily.

"RUN GOHANNN," yelled Goku in fright.

Raditz glared at the child. He struck him with a hard punch that made Gohan fly a few meters away. He fell to the ground unconscious.

"GOHANNNN," screamed Goku in horror.

Mira's whole body began to tremble in anger. "That piece of garbage. How dare he."

All mages glared at the screen.

Raditz began to walk toward Gohan with an evil look in his eyes.

"No," said Goku in fright. "Stop. Don't do it, please. He's just..."

Raditz frowned at Goku's words. "Just a child. Is that what you were going to say? Don't make me laugh. This child has a far greater power level than either one of you. It's best that I kill him now before he learns how to use it."

All the mages glared at the evil Saiyan.

"He is just being a coward," said Gray with gritted teeth.

"Damm him," said Erza angrily

Raditz suddenly smirked. "But don't worry brother. You'll see your son again. In the next world."

The evil Saiyan began to laugh maniacally.

"NOOO, WAIT," yelled Goku pleadingly.

All the mages could only watch as Raditz walked toward Gohan's unconscious body.

Mira's tears began to fall from her eyes. Lucy, Levi, Wendy, and Lisanna weren't far behind.

"To think. This puny little brat is the first opponent who's ever caused me any real damage on a battlefield." Raditz began to glare at Gohan. "An embarrassment I will soon erase."

Red electricity began to surround Raditz's hand.

"No please," said Wendy with tears in her eyes.

Mira looked away in fright. All the girls soon followed except Erza. She was determined to see what happened. No matter how terrible it might be.

"NOW DIEEE," yelled Raditz.

But before Raditz could strike the boy. Someone grabbed him from behind in a grappler lock. That someone was, Goku.

Everyone sighed in relief at that.

"Goku comes to rescue again," said Wendy with a grin.

"Yes," said Mira with a happy smile. "But what now? What is Goku planning?"

"Why you little," said Raditz angry.

Suddenly. Goku yelled the words that made every Fairy tail member gasp in shock.

"PICCOLO! QUICK YOUR ATTACK! DO IT! DO IT NOW!"

"No," said Erza in horror. "If he lets that attack hit him like that. He will get killed too."

Natsu clenched his fists. "Dammit. He's planning to sacrifice himself."

All the mages were horrified by Natsu's words.

"Finally. It's about time you decided to make your move. Now, hold him. It's almost ready."

"Hurry, Piccolo. I can't keep this up for long."

"Are you really that stupid? Let go. If you're standing right behind me if he fires, the blast will kill you too," said Raditz.

Goku chuckled weakly. "Then I guess it's the way how it's gonna have to be."

All the mages couldn't believe what he was saying. He was willing to sacrifice his own life just like that.

"No, there has to be some other way," said Lucy with a scared look in her eyes.

Marakov sighed sadly. "I'm afraid there isn't. And Goku knows that. He has made up his mind."

All the mages looked at the ground in sorrow.

"What? Are you insane? Your son. Think about him."

"Says the guy who was planning to kill Gohan earlier," said Gajeel with a snort.

"I am. This is the only way to defeat you."

Piccolo grinned. "Alright, Goku. If that's what you want I won't hold back. It's no secret I wanted you dead for a long time. I won't pass up this chance."

All the mages frowned at Piccolo's words.

"Of course, he would be glad," said Laxus with a frown. "He only teamed up with Goku to defeat the Saiyans. He was planning to kill Goku anyway."

Marakov snorted. "Piccolo might say that. But he only does it because he knows that there's no other way. Besides," said Marakov with a grin. "You all have forgotten about the Dragon balls. They can revive Goku anytime they want."

The others suddenly felt embarrassed. They couldn't believe that they had forgotten about that.

"Wait. Please, let me go. I, I was wrong I'm sorry. Release me. I'll leave this planet."

"Oh, no. He's planning to trick Goku again," said Wendy worried.

Natsu smirked. "Don't worry. I doubt that Goku would fall for that again."

"Right. Forget it. I won't fall for that again," said Goku with a weak smile.

"I mean it this time. Please. Don't you trust the word of your own brother?"

"Piccolo. Hurry up."

All the mages still had a sad look on their face. Even if Goku could get revived. Seeing someone die was not a pretty sight.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. Are you ready, Goku?"

"DO ITTT," yelled Goku.

Piccolo nodded. "Right."

"STOPP," yelled Raditz in fright.

"MAKANKOSAPOOOO."

The drilling beam of energy flew at Raditz and Goku. And went right through them.

Erza and Canna had tears in their eyes when they saw Piccolo's attack strike Goku in the process.

"NOOO," yelled Raditz in pain.

Goku had a small smile on his face. He chuckled weakly.

All the mages bowed their heads in sorrow at Goku's sacrifice.

The two alien brothers fell to the ground. Raditz on his stomach and Goku on his back.

"How did this happen," said Raditz weakly. "How could I lose to these fools?"

Gajeel smirked. "You underestimated your opponents, you bastard."

"Yeah," said Natsu with a grin. "Never underestimate someone. No matter how weak they might be."

"Kakarot. I didn't think he do it. Just throw away his own, his own life," said Raditz in denial.

"Don't worry. I doubt Goku would stay dead for long," said Piccolo with a smirk.

"What," said Raditz surprised.

"You heard me. On this planet, we have these things called the Dragon balls. Gather all seven, and together they have the power to grant any wish. Even if that's bringing someone dead back to life."

"It still amazes me that something like the Dragon balls really exists," said Lucy with wonder.

"Yes. Me too," said Erza with a light smile. "But luckily they do. Otherwise, Goku wouldn't be able to come back alive."

"You can all go to hell. Still, I thank you for the information."

Levi suddenly realized what happened. "Oh no. This is bad. Raditz scouter is still on."

"Why does that matter," said Gajeel confused.

"Have you already forgotten? Those devices do not only track their location and sense someone's strength. But they also serve as communicators."

"Oh crap. You're right," said Lucy worried. "I forgot about that."

Raditz began to chuckle. "Everything that happened here today. Has been transmitted to my two Saiyan comrades deep in outer space."

"What," said Piccolo shocked.

"This doesn't sound good," said Mira worried.

"When they learned that I have been killed they..." Raditz began coughing out blood. "They'll come to avenge me. They'll wipe you out. You, and every living thing on this planet. You don't have a chance. You're as good as dead already." said Raditz with a smirk.

"Dammit," said Laxus with gritting teeth. "Of course, it wouldn't be over that easy."

Gildarts sighed sadly. "It mostly never is."

Goku suddenly began to speak weakly. "T-the other S-Saiyans. When will they be here?"

"One year. One short year," said Radit with a small chuckle.

Erza clenched her fists. "That isn't a very long time to prepare. Especially if they are even stronger than Raditz."

"Yeah. They might reach the level of Raditz in that time. But those other Saiyans," said Mira worried.

"Two of them," said Piccolo a bit frightened. "Even stronger than him?"

"How sweet does victory taste now," said Raditz with a mocking tone. "They'll soon have you writhing in agony like the worms you are."

Piccolo in his anger struck the Saiyan with a killer blow. The Saiyan Raditz was no more.

All the mages didn't feel any compassion toward the evil Saiyan. He was beyond saving.

"You thought that was funny, huh? Well, we'll see who has the last laugh when it's all said and done." Piccolo turned towards the dying Goku. "It's over. He's dead."

A small flying aircraft suddenly flew over the battlefield. In it were Bulma, Krillin, and Master Roshi.

"Oh, it's Goku's friends," said Wendy with a smile.

"There late though," said Natsu with a frown. "Goku and Piccolo could have really used their help."

Erza sighed. "Natsu, I understand how you are feeling. But what could they have possibly done to help in this fight? They would have stood no chance against Raditz."

"Oh, no," said Bulma worried. "Only one of them is standing."

"Who? Which one is it," said Krillin who was equally worried.

"It's Piccolo," said Roshi.

The scene changed. A huge bald man who wore brown and black armor and had a blue scouter on his face was on the screen.

"Ewww," said Canna with a frown. "That guy is ugly."

"He must be one of the other Saiyans," said Gray with a glare.

"Hmpf. Raditz. Got himself killed," said the bald man with a frown.

"Serves him right. Pathetic," said another voice.

Next to the bald Saiyan. Sat a smaller individual. He had black spikey hair that defied gravity. His armor was yellow and white. And he wore a blue jumpsuit underneath it. To finish his look. He wore a red scouter. The person sat on a dead body of an insect-type animal. And he was eating a piece of its claw.

"Ewww," said Lucy. "He's eating that thing," said the blond mage with a disgusted look.

Natsu shrugged his shoulders. "You never know. That animal may taste good."

Happy drooled. "You mean, like fish?"

Natsu chuckled. "Could be. Or it could taste just like chicken."

"I don't think that's an animal, Natsu," said Mira sadly.

Natsu looked confused at first. But then, he suddenly began to realize what Mira meant. He had a disgusted and angry look on his face.

"If he can't handle a couple of puny fighters with power levels less than a thousand."

"So what now," said the bald man."Should we put this planet on hold and head for Earth?"

The smaller Saiyan smirked. "Did you catch the last bit? Those things. Dragon balls, I believe."

Marakov sighed. "Why am I not surprised. Of course, they would be interested in that."

"Yeah. They said they could grant any wish, right?"

The smaller man stood up. He then dropped the claw-like appendage into the fire.

"I say that's worth investigating."

"Maybe we can bring Raditz back to life," said the bald man toward his comrade.

"Well, they might be evil. But at least they care for their comrades," said Lisanna.

But the shorter Saiyan gave the bald man an are you kidding look.

"Is that a joke? Why would we waste a wish on that worthless scum."

"Nevermind," said Lisanna with a frown.

"They sure act differently than the Saiyans we saw on planet Vegeta," said Mira with a frown. "Bardock didn't act like that towards his comrades."

They all nodded at the takeover mage.

"If the story is true, we can have everything we want. Immortality, eternal youth." Vegeta smirked at his comrade. "Think you could live with those. We could be the most unstoppable force in the Universe.?"

"I like it," said the bald man with a smirk. "Yeah, I'm in."

"What an awful wish," said Erza with a frown. There is nothing more frightening than seeing people close to you dying while you stay alive.

All the mages nodded at that.

Laxus suddenly asked a question to Malia. "Can you tell us their names?"

"Yes. The bald one is called Nappa. And the smaller one is called Vegeta."

"Oooh, so that's Vegeta," said Lucy surprised.

Canna sighed. "Too bad he's such a bastard. He's not bad-looking."

Erza snorted. "Please. He's got nothing on Goku."

Canna nodded at that. "That's true."

The scene changed back to Earth.

"And that's everything," said Piccolo towards Goku's friends.

"Goku," said Krillin sadly. Who was holding his best friend's hand.

"I see," said Roshi sadly.

"They all must feel so powerless right now," said Wendy with a sad look.

"Yeah, your right about that," said Lisanna.

"Goku. Cmon, you're with me? Can you hear me, buddy? Oh no," said Krillin with a sad tone. But there was no response from Goku.

All the mages looked at the scene sadly.

"Poor Goku," said Lucy sadly.

Erza clenched her fists in frustration. She should not be feeling this way. She knew that Goku would get revived. But seeing him lying there with a hole in his chest. It made the Requip-mage's heart feel so much pain.

"I think Gohan is going to be okay," said Bulma. "Looks like he just got knocked for a loop."

"That is a relief," said Mira with a sigh.

Everyone suddenly heard Goku's voice.

"Good. He's safe," said Goku with a weak smile.

"Hey man," said Krillin happily.

"Chichi would probably kill me if he got hurt," said through struggling breaths.

Mira gave the Saiyan from Earth a sad smile. "Even when he's dying, he still thinks about his son's safety."

"And he still has a goofy smile on his face," said Lucy with a small chuckle.

"Oh, Goku," said Bulma on the verge of tears.

Goku chuckled weakly. "Krillin. This dying. It's not. Not much fun, is it?"

Natsu frowned sadly at Goku's words.

Erza and Canna let out a few tears. But they wiped them away quickly.

"Huh? Hey, what the heck are you talking about? No one's dying here. You're going to be fine. You got that," said Krillin in denial.

"No. No, not this time. I'm too far gone," said Goku weakly.

Gray bowed his head in sorrow. It reminded the Ice mage of his teacher Urd, who sacrificed herself that day.

"Well, don't you worry," said Krillin sadly. "We'll find the Dragon balls and wish you back."

Goku chuckled weakly one last time and said his last words. "Sounds good."

The Saiyan from Earth closed his eyes. And he died.

His friends were scared when Goku didn't move anymore.

"Goku," said Krillin worried. But there was no response.

Krillin screamed in anguish. "GOKUUUUU."

All the more emotional members of fairy tail couldn't help themself but cry. And all the others bowed their heads in sorrow.

The voice of the storyteller could be heard in the background.

"Goku has made the ultimate sacrifice to defeat Raditz. However, a new threat approaches. Can the Earth survive without its greatest Hero?"

Wendy wiped away her tears. "I think I need a break for a bit."

They all nodded at the little dragon slayer's words.
