Chapter 5: Wilderness Survival. Gohan Goes Bananas.
"Hey Natsu," said Gray annoyed. "Stop hiding my clothes."
Natsu glared back. "You moron. I haven't taken your clothes. It's your own damm fault. Keep your stripping habits under control for once."
The mages sight at the display. They were all finished with their brake. And wanted to start reacting again. But somehow, these two started an argument again, which wasn't that abnormal for the two rivals, unfortunately.
Erza had enough of their bickering. She gave the two boys both a hit on the head.
"ENOUGH," yelled Erza strictly. "Stop this fighting at once and sit down so we can react again."
The boys nodded fearfully and sat down.
Malia chuckled. "Well, since you are all ready. Let's continue the reaction, shall we."
They all nodded with a smile.
The screen started to show Gohan and Piccolo. The timid little boy had taken off his tunic and looked at Piccolo confused.
"So, what now? Uh, I mean. How do I train?"
Erza smiled at the boy. "It's very simple, Gohan. You should first work on your stamina by running a few laps. Then, do some pull-ups and push-ups to gain muscles."
"You know he can't hear you, right," said Lucy with a sweatdrop.
Erza blushed in embarrassment. "Oh, of course. I know that. I was just caught up in the moment."
"For now, you don't have to do anything," said Piccolo with a grin. "Just survive."
All the mages' eyes widened at Piccolo's words.
"No," said Mira with a glare. "He isn't going to do what I think he's going to do, is he?"
Marakov frowned. "I'm afraid so."
"Survive," said the boy with a shocked look.
"After six months. If managed to stay alive. I teach you how to fight."
"That idiot," said Lucy with a glare. "You can't just leave a child in the middle of nowhere."
Natsu looked confused. "Why not? That's how Igneel trained me."
Gajeel nodded. "Yeah, my old man Metalicana did the same thing."
Wendy sighed. Her mother Grandeeney did the same thing. Though, not for six whole months. Just a week maybe. And then she returned to teach her. It was actually a cycle of training, leaving her alone to fend for herself. And then come back for more training.
"Yeah, my mom also did that."
All the mages were shocked at that.
"Why would your parents do that," said Mira horrified.
Natsu shrugged his shoulders. "Igneel said it was to learn to take care of myself. He said he wasn't always going to be there to help me. So, in a way, it was his way of showing that he cared for me."
Gajeel frowned. He hadn't thought about that. He always believed his father loved tormenting him. But maybe, the bastard did care? In his own sadistic way at least. Gajeel shrugged his shoulders. It didn't matter anyway. In the end, that training made him into the dragon slayer he was today.
"You're leaving me? You can't. I can't stay here all by myself, alone," said Gohan with a scared look.
Piccolo chuckled. "You won't be by yourself. No, you'll have plenty of hungry wild animals to keep you company."
"Why that stupid green slug," said Mira with a glare. "If I ever meet him here or in the afterlife I'm going to make him wish he was never born."
Lisanna nodded at her sister. "Good, I'll help you, sis."
Gohan had a terrifying look in his eyes. "You mean like lions and tigers? But they'll eat me."
"Quiet, no more whining. It's time to start acting like a man, understand?"
Elfman grinned at that. "YEAH, A REAL MAN!"
"Shut up, baby brother," said Mira with a sweet smile. "Otherwise I might change my mind and tell Evergreen all about your dirty little secrets."
Elfman got white in the face.
Evergreen grinned. "Oh please, do tell."
"No, please Mira. I'll behave, I promise."
Mira nodded with a smile. "Very well. Sorry Evergreen. Maybe some other time."
Evergreen pouted. "Oh well," she said with a sigh. "I guess I will find out someday."
"But, what do I do?"
"Whatever it takes to stay alive for six months. If you'll find a way to do that. Then at the end, you'll be a stronger fighter both in body and in mind."
Natsu smiled at that. "You got this Gohan. I'll believe in you."
"You, moron," said Gray with a snort. "He can't hear you."
Lucy gave Gray a warning glare.
"I-I mean. Yes, you can do it, Gohan. Believe in yourself."
"Remember this. There's a great power inside you just waiting to be unlocked. But it's up to you to bring it out. Use it. Believe in your ability."
"Well, at least he supports the boy," said Marakov. "But, this training method. Leaving a child out in the wild to fend of for himself. I can't say that I approve of it."
Mira smiled at their Master. "Oh, Master. I knew you would agree with me. You're such a good soul."
Marakov blushed at the praise. He then chuckled perversely. "Well, if wanna hug me, I won't say no."
Suddenly, someone hit Marakov on the head.
"Dammit, Laxus. What was that for?"
Laxus glared dangerously. "Old man. That was a warning. Keep your perverted eyes away from Mira."
Mira blushed at Laxus's protective nature. She smiled warmly at him.
Laxus blushed but smiled back. However, he went back to his normal stoic look. He had a reputation to maintain, after all.
"If you wanna survive you'll need to learn how to summon your powers whenever you need them."
"But, what if I can't," said Gohan sadly.
"Believe in yourself Gohan," said Natsu with a grin. "I know it might be tough in the beginning. But trust me. You can do this."
Mira took a deep breath to calm her heart. She knew there was nothing she could do to help Gohan. But, at least she could believe in him.
"Do your best, Gohan," said Mira sadly.
Piccolo turned away from the little hybrid.
"Wait, what am I supposed to eat? I don't have any food, or water, or a bath, or a bed, or anything."
"I guess that's something you just have to figure out. I never said this would be easy. This is the path that fate has chosen for you. The sooner you'll accept it, the better."
"Fate, huh," said Marakov with a sad frown.
"At least give him some tips to survive," said Lucy with a frown.
"Nah, Gohan will be fine on his own. Trust me on this. It may be hard at first. But he will soon learn to love it."
"Aye," said Happy with a smile. "When me and Natsu go camping. He always catches me a lot of fishies, and we eat them at a huge campfire."
Natsu nodded with a smile. "And we usually sleep in a cave when it's raining."
All the mages sweatdropped at that.
"Ever heard of a tent, flame brain," said Gray with a snort.
Happy chuckled nervously. "Natsu always seems to forget our tent when we go camping."
The dragon slayer blushed in embarrassment.
Everyone chuckled at that.
Piccolo flew away from Gohan.
"Hey," said Gohan. He began to run after him. "Hey, stop don't go. You can't leave me here. Come back. I don't know what to do all by myself."
But Piccolo didn't respond. And soon he was out of sight.
"Poor, Gohan," said Juvia with a sad look.
"You can do this, Gohan," said Wendy with a cheer.
But Gohan began to cry.
The scene changed slowly. Gohan's cries became an echo of some kind. The screen slowly changed from Gohan's crying face to the familiar face of Kami. He was in deep thought. Before him stood a black being with pointy ears. He wore a white turban and a red vest. To finish the outfit he wore white pants and red shoes. The two were standing on a platform with a beautiful-looking temple behind them.
"It's Kami," said Lisanna with a smile. "But who is that other funny-looking man?"
"Could be that Popo guy that Goku and Malia talked about," said Gajeel.
Malia chuckled. "Correct, you are. Gajeel Redfox. That is indeed Mr. Popo. The caretaker of the lookout. And the attendant of Kami."
"He looks so stylish," said Canna with a grin.
"Kami," said Popo worriedly. "What is it? Is something troubling you?"
"Aww, he is such a kind person," said Mira with a smile.
"It's Piccolo. I can still feel the evil in his heart. And yet, there's seem to be a change coming over him, Mr. Popo."
Natsu grinned. "Ah, I knew that Piccolo was a good guy."
Marakov snorted. "You brat. It was I who made that deduction. Not you."
Natsu chuckled nervously. "Sorry, gramps."
"He's not acting like the villain I would expect."
The Genie nodded at Kami's words. "Yes, It is odd. The old King Piccolo never would have been willing to train Goku's son."
"Well, that's a good thing, right," said Wendy with a smile. "That means Piccolo is turning into a good guy."
Lucy sighed. "Malia did say that Piccolo will become one of Earth's most strongest warriors. But what I really want to know is what changed him?"
Marakov chuckled. "I might have figured out that question, Lucy."
All of the mages looked in shock at their Master.
"Wait you did," said Lucy surprised.
Marakov rubbed his mustache with a chuckle. "It's only a theory though. I'm not a hundred percent sure. So, instead of telling you what I came up with. Let's just keep reacting, shall we?"
They all sighed but nodded.
"Yes, I found it equally surprising when he agreed to form an alliance with Goku in order to fight Raditz. I realize he had his own selfish motives for doing so. But still, it has not changed the fact that he chooses to defend the Earth."
"Well, when you look at it like that," said Lucy with a thoughtful look.
Natsu smiled. "Don't worry he might be grumpy sometimes. But deep down, I think he's good guy."
Wendy smiled. "Yes, I believe he only needs a friend."
Mira frowned at that. She didn't know what to believe anymore.
"And though it may seem that Piccolo's true evil nature revealed itself when he eliminated Goku along with Raditz. We must not forget that Goku chooses to make that sacrifice."
Erza nodded sadly. "That he did. He made the ultimate sacrifice to save his planet and his family and friends."
Everyone nodded sadly at that.
"Not only that. But he can be easily revived by the Dragon Balls. Piccolo knows that Goku is certain to return. And yet he has still chosen to train his son. A boy that may one day grow to be a powerful enemy in his own right."
"When you put it that way," said Mr. Popo. Confused. "It doesn't make sense."
Gray nodded at that. "Yeah, it certainly doesn't. There must be a reason that Piccolo is doing this."
Mira frowned. "I don't have a clue."
"Perhaps it does, Mr. Popo. Perhaps it does. Piccolo may have realized as I have that in one year, we will die."
All the mages were shocked about this.
"What," said Lucy in horror.
Happy began to cry. "No Mr. Kami sir. You can't die."
"No, Kami," said Popo sadly.
"I'm sorry Mr. Popo. But I have foreseen it. I don't know the exact cause of our passing. Whether Piccolo will lose his life to the Saiyans. Or I simply will succumb to old age. But the result is the same."
"Kami," said Wendy sadly.
Lucy tried to comfort the poor girl.
"My lifeforce is forever bound with Piccolo. We're two halves of the same being. One can not exist without the other."
Mira looked at Kami with a sad look. He was such a wise and kind person. The thought that he would die. Mira clenched her fists.
Kami chuckled. "You might say it's the curse of foresight seeing the day of my own demise."
Natsu frowned sadly at that. "A curse, huh?" Just like his brother Zeref had.
Lisanna began to let out a few tears. "Poor Kami."
"If Piccolo has sensed my mind. He may wish to pass his knowledge on before he dies. Even if it's to the son of his own enemy."
All the mages' eyes widened at that.
"Is that why Piccolo took Gohan," said Gray surprised. "To pass on his knowledge to him."
Laxus had a thoughtful look. "It makes sense in a way. If I knew I had only a year to live, I would probably do the same thing. Well, except the kidnapping part, of course."
"But what about the Dragon Balls," said Mr. Popo a bit worried.
"Oh, that's right. If Piccolo or Kami dies then they won't be able to use them anymore," said Levi.
"Damm," said Gray frustrated. "That isn't good. If one of their friends dies during the battle. And Piccolo is also dead. They won't be able to wish them back."
Erza frowned. "This doesn't look good."
"There's time for one more wish," said Kami.
The scene changed to snake way where Goku was running at a fast pace.
"It looks like Goku has become a bit faster," said Marakov with a grin. "Guess it must be because of that Zenkai ability he got after he died."
The mages nodded at that.
"Wow, I had no idea Gohan was so strong. What he did against Raditz today was amazing. I guess he's a chip off the old block, after all."
Lucy chuckled. "If he's proud because of that. He would have totally flipped if he saw what Gohan did to that poor mountain."
Erza chuckled also. "Yes, that's certainly true."
Goku suddenly stopped running. "Hey, wait a sec. Nobody ever said I need to stay on the path, did they?"
"Oh, no. What's he planning to do," said Lucy with a sigh.
She recognized that look on Goku's face. It was the same look that Natsu had when he came up with some kind of stupid plan.
At first, Goku's plan seemed to be pretty solid. He was trying to make a shortcut by jumping over the clouds and landing on the other side of the road. He was making good progress.
"Wow, I'm actually surprised. That's not a bad idea," said Lucy.
Natsu grinned. "Yeah, it beats walking. And he will reach King Kai faster.
Erza nodded. "Yes, a solid plan indeed."
"I should have done this from the start."
Though, Goku made an error in his jumping around. And he realized it too late.
All the mages screamed out in Worry. "GOKU!"
Goku screamed in a comical way. Which made some mages chuckle at how funny he looked in how he was waving his hands around. He tried to grab snake way and pull him up. But the sharp scales hurt him and Goku let go in pain. They then saw the yellow clouds opening up. And some kind of vortex beneath it.
"What the hell is that," said Gray shocked.
"I don't know. But Goku needs to find a way to get himself out of there," said Canna worriedly.
Shadowy hands came from the vortex. Trying to grab the Saiyan. After dodging them for a while. Goku's face suddenly turned serious. He let out a burst of energy that made the hands get destroyed. Goku quickly flew back on top of snake way.
The mages sighed in relief.
"Dammit, Goku. Don't do that again," said Lucy with sigh.
Natsu grinned. "Did you see that attack he made to destroy those hands? That was awesome."
"It seemed like he let out his Ki into some kind burst," said Marakov with a thoughtful look.
Goku let out a deep breath. "So much for that idea. Note to self. Do not go to hell."
Mira chuckled at Goku's words. "Yes, that would indeed be a good thing Goku."
Lucy sighed. "I just hope he doesn't do something stupid again."
Erza gave Lucy a look. "Are you calling Goku stupid?"
Lucy sweated nervously. "N-no, of course not, Erza. I'm just worried for his safety that's all. He does remind me a bit of Natsu. And you know In how much trouble he can get himself into."
Erza nodded with a thoughtful look. "That is true."
Lucy sighed in relief.
The scene changed again to Gohan. Who was peeing against a rock.
All the mages chuckled.
"Well, if you gotta go. You gotta go," said Gajeel with a grin.
They suddenly heard heavy footsteps. Gohan looked behind him and saw a huge dinosaur coming toward him. And he didn't look friendly.
The others gasped. "Run, Gohan," said Happy who was terrified for the small boy's safety.
Gohan tried to run as fast as he could. But he tripped over a rock.
"GOHAN," yelled Mira in fright.
But right before the Dinosaur could have Gohan for lunch. The boy's emotions kicked in. And he vanished on top of a huge mountain. All the mages sighed in relief. When Gohan looked down from where he was, he began to cry again.
"Now I'm stuck. Help, somebody. I can't get down."
"Gohan," said Mira sadly. "Be brave little one. I know you can do it."
The scene changed again toward snake way. Goku was running again normally. Instead of jumping around like earlier.
The mages sighed in relief at that.
"Please don't do any more dangerous stunts, Goku," said Erza with a worried look.
Goku was breathing harshly. "Oh crap. I don't know what that guy was talking about. He said since I was dead, I wouldn't have to worry about food. But I'm starving."
"Of course, you are," said Lucy with a sweatdrop.
Natsu looked sadly at Goku. "Poor guy. I don't think I would have the energy to run anymore."
"He doesn't have a choice I'm afraid," said Mira with sigh. "He has to reach this King Kai person as fast as he can and receive his training. And he only has a year."
The scene changed again. This time however they saw Kame house. Inside were Krillin, Roshi, and Bulma. But Krillin had a shameful look on his face. While Bulma and Roshi were glaring at Krillin.
"Wow, what happened here? Why do they look so pissed at Krillin," said Laxus confused?
"I guess we'll find out," said Mira equally confused.
"What? You didn't tell her," said Roshi angrily.
"I'm sorry I just couldn't. I was gonna, but you know," said Krillin sadly.
"Whatever happened. Bulma and Roshi are seriously pissed," said Gildarts with a frown.
"You mean, none of it," said Bulma with a glare.
"Right," said Krillin with an ashamed look.
"You're hopeless you know that? All you had to do was blurred it out. It's not hard."
All the mages were getting more confused by the minute. But Krillin's next words finally cleared up the mystery.
"Sure, it's easy for you to say. Try looking Chichi in the face. Then you tell her Goku is dead. It's impossible."
"Oh, know I get it," said Lucy with a nod. "But is that really something to be mad about?"
Mira sighed. "Of course not."
Natsu snorted. "Bunch of chickens those three are. Without Goku, they are hopeless."
"Yeah. For once I agree with you, Natsu," said Gray with a frown.
Roshi sighed. "Well, can't say I blame ya."
"But we can't, not tell her," said Bulma.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. So how about this? We write a letter to Chichi instead."
"A letter, seriously," said Canna with a sweatdrop.
"They must be really scared of Chichi. But why? I mean, she looked to be such a nice and friendly housewife," said Lisanna confused.
Marakov suddenly swallowed nervously. "It's mostly the friendly ones you need to be afraid of."
Gildarts nodded nervously. "Yeah. That's true."
Krillin smiled. "You mean I'm off the hook. That's a great idea."
"Okay, so what about the Dragon Balls? The two at Goku's place. Tell me you still managed to pick them up at least."
Natsu sighed. "I think I know where this is going."
Krillin widened his eyes at Bulma's words. "I forgot."
Bulma glared at the bald monk. "Totally hopeless."
"It's not like you did anything yourself lady," said Gajeel with a frown.
Levi snorted. "Oh, please. I think Bulma did the most work out of all of them. She had bags under her eyes. She must have been working on fixing that scouter for hours without any wink of sleep."
The mages were surprised at that.
"Wow, no wonder she's so cranky," said Lucy with a chuckle.
Natsu rubbed his head in embarrassment. "Okay, I admit I was wrong. Bloomers did a good job."
"Natsu," said Lisanna with a chuckle. "The girl is called Bulma, remember?"
Natsu chuckled. "Oh right."
The scene again towards Gohan. Who was lying on his side.
"I'm cold. And I'm hungry. And tired and scared."
" Poor, kid. He really isn't used to living outside," said Gildarts with a sad look.
Marakov sighed sadly. "Yeah, looks like it."
Mira clenched her fists. "Poor Gohan." This was so hard for her to watch.
Suddenly a gust of wind picked up. And when the boy looked at the noise. He saw two red apples lying there.
The mages were surprised.
"How did those apples get there," said Lucy confused. "The wind couldn't have done that."
"I wonder," said Marakov with a smile.
Mira frowned. "No, it couldn't be."
"Wow," said the boy happily. "Guess they must have fallen here. I'm saved."
But before the boy took a bite. He suddenly stopped and stood up. He looked around confused.
Laxus chuckled. "The kid must be wondering himself how these apples have fallen there. Since there are no trees around."
"Yeah, but who could have done it," said Lucy confused.
Marakov chuckled. "I think we will find out momentarily."
The boy shrugged his shoulders and took a large bite. After chewing for a bit, Gohan suddenly gained a frown on his face.
"These things are sour. Ewww, that's gross."
"Damm, this kid is spoiled. What's wrong with a sour apple," said Gray with a sigh.
"You can't be picky about your food, Gohan," said Mira sternly.
The screen suddenly showed Piccolo who was floating above Gohan. All the mages were shocked. But none so more as Mira.
"Did Piccolo give those apples to Gohan," said Mira surprised.
Marakov chuckled. "I had a feeling he was the culprit."
Natsu smiled. "Looks like Piccolo is starting to change."
Gohan began to complain. "I miss my mom's cooking. I wanna eat a real dinner."
Mira sighed at Gohan's behavior. Okay, she realized it now more clearly. Gohan was way too spoiled.
"Honestly Gohan," said Erza with a frown. "Be thankful that you even have food. I knew that he was spoiled. But not by this much."
"Oh, cmon," said Piccolo with a frown. "He's lucky he even got that."
Gohan ate all his apples and went to sleep.
"I hope you enjoyed it, kid. That's the one and only time I intend to help you. If you can't survive on your own after this, then it means I was wrong about you. And you're just a normal little brat."
Mira frowned at that. Gohan may be spoiled. But he was certainly not a brat. And just when she wanted to forgive Piccolo for all the stupid things he did.
"Stupid slug," said Mira with a glare.
Lisanna tried to calm her sister down. "Now, now, Mira. Piccolo just isn't good with kids. He didn't mean to insult the boy."
"Well, at least I hope not," thought Lisanna with a sweatdrop.
When the scene changed, they were back in the valley. But it was morning. Gohan opened his eye slowly. But quickly covered them with his hands.
"Aaah, that's bright."
Canna chuckled. "Just wait when you start drinking, kid. And you wake up with a hangover in the morning. That hurts even more."
Everyone laughed at that.
Gohan yawned and tiredly looked around. He still realized that he was stuck.
"What am I gonna do? I'm stuck up here. I never going to get down. And I'm still starving."
Everyone sighed at Gohan's words.
"Looks like Gohan really isn't used to this," said Juvia.
Natsu frowned. "Cmon, kid. If you're hungry. You have to eat. Just jump."
"Natsu," said Mira with frown. "That's a terrible idea. Gohan can get himself killed by doing that."
Natsu scratched his in confusion. "Really? But Igneel pushed me off from taller mountains before. And sure, it hurt a lot. But I never died."
"What kind of a father was Igneel," said Lucy with horror.
Gajeel snorted. "You think that's bad. My old man used to throw me in a pit with hungry wolves."
Levi sweatdropped. "You made that up."
Gajeel smirked. "Did I?"
Piccolo, who was still hovering above Gohan, grunted.
"Believe me. When his stomach is rumbling loud enough. He's going to find a way down."
Lisanna chuckled. "No, Piccolo. That only works when that person loves food as much as Natsu."
Lucy nodded with chuckle. "True enough."
The scene changed again toward Kame house. Where Bulma was still fixing the scouter.
"Poor, girl," said Mira with a frown. "She must be tired after working the whole night without any sleep."
The mages nodded at that.
"There," said Bulma with a smile. "That should do it."
Levi grinned. "She fixed it. She must be some kind of genius with machines."
Lisanna smiled. "She certainly is."
"Hey guys. Hup to, I think I got it working again."
But Krillin and Master Roshi and turtle were sleeping soundly.
The girls frowned.
"That poor girl. While she was working the whole night. Those bums were taking it easy and took a nap," said Mira with a glare.
"Those two are useless," said Natsu. "Frankly, I haven't seen anything impressive yet from Krillin and Roshi."
"Hey," said Marakov with a frown. "Roshi is my age. And we old people need a good nap from time to time."
Laxus grinned. "So you admit you're old, do ya gramps?"
Marakov gained a tickmark on his forehead. "Kids I tell ya. No respect."
Bulma had an annoyed look on her face.
The screen suddenly showed Kame house from outside. The fairy tail members suddenly heard shooting.
Natsu suddenly swallowed nervously. "Oh crap, did she kill them?"
The screen changed back to the living room. Bulma had some kind of gun in her hands. Krillin and Master Roshi were still alive. But they had a lot of bullet bruises.
Bulma voice gained a dangerous tone. "Listen, I have been up all night. And I'm a little bit irritable right now. You do not want to get on my bad side."
Erza nodded with a smile. "I like Bulma. She has lot of spunk."
All the boys swallowed nervously. Damm that Bulma chick was crazy.
Bulma stood up, and took off her bathrobe. Don't worry she still had her clothes on. It was jus chilly at night.
"Now then. Let's try this again. Hup to guys".
Roshi looked confused. "Hop where?"
"She means, get off your lazy asses, and be useful for once," said Natsu with a grin.
All the mages chuckled at the dragon slayer's words. Bulma began to press a few buttons on the side of the device. It began to make beeping noises.
"Cmon, stand up so I can put this baby through it's paces."
The screen showed Roshi in Bulma's view. So everyone could see what the little device would show.
"Wow, that's certainly handy," said Lucy with a smile.
Levi nodded. She really couldn't wait to get her hands on one herself.
"I made the characters into display to make it easier to read. Huh, 139," said Bulma towards Roshi.
Natsu pouted. "Oh, man. That's such a low number. Gramps is much stronger than this old geezer."
Marakov nodded proudly. "Thank you Natsu. Though I never found out what my power level was?"
Malia answered. "You have a power level of 8000, Mister Marakov. But remember, it's not your full power. As I said before. You are all still hiding a large portion of your strength."
"Hey, not bad old man," Laxus with a grin.
Marakov chuckled.
"One thirty, oh no Bulma. I'm much older than that."
"Older than 139, said Gildarts surprised. "He certainly pretty agile for someone so old."
"It's not your age. It's your strength, your power level or whatever."
"It can tell you that just by looking at me? Wow, that's an amazing device. 139 that sounds hard to beat."
Gray snorted. "Sorry, buddy. But you're nothing compared to our gramps."
"YEAH, OUR MASTER IS A REAL MAN!"
"Of course I am," said Marakov proudly.
"Okay, okay. My turn," said Krillin with a grin. "What's my power level, Bulma?"
The screen began to show Krillin's strength.
"How about that. 206."
Natsu chuckled. "Well, he's at least stronger then his teacher. But still nowhere near, Goku's, or our strength."
"That reminds me," said Erza curious. "How much stronger did Goku get after he got his Zenkai boost?"
"Goku full power when he fought Raditz was 416. And when he died and received his Zenkai boost. He had a power level of 900," said Malia.
All the mages eyes widened at that.
"Unbelievable," said Marakov with surprised look. "That's such a high increase in power."
Erza smiled at that. Goku certainly has an unique ability."
Natsu grinned. "Goku is so awesome."
"Hey, I'm stronger than you. The student has surpassed the Master," said Krillin with a grin.
Mira chuckled. "Krillin is certainly a funny individual."
"Aye," said Happy with a grin. "He's not Kami-funny, though."
Natsu nodded at that.
"Hold on. You sure you fixed it," said Master Roshi shocked.
"Not to bragg, but I am sort of a whiz at this stuff."
Levi smirked. She is really confident in her abilities. I like that."
The fairy tail members suddenly heard an unfamiliar voice on the screen.
"Heyyyy. Hey."
"Yeah, hey yourself. Who is that? You ever heard of knocking," said Krillin.
Mira nodded at Krillin's words.
"Right you are, Krillin. It's very rude to shout at people when they are in their home."
"Yeah." "Now if only I could teach that to Natsu," said Lucy with a sigh.
Natsu pouted. "Oh cmon. What does it matter anyway. We'll be moving in together very soon."
All the mages were surprised at that.
"Wait," said Lisanna with a smile. "You two are moving in with each other? When?"
Lucy sighed. "Natsu, that was still supposed to be a secret."
Natsu chuckled. "Oh right. Sorry about that, Lucy."
Mira giggled. "Oh, that's great news. Please tell us all about it when we have our next break, okay?"
Lucy sighed but smiled with a nod.
On the screen, the rudely visitor could be seen. He was an obese man with long black hair and wore an orange Samurai getup with wooden sandals. He had a Katana strapped to his hip.
"A swordsman," said Erza with an intriguing look.
"Shut up," said the man annoyed.
"Oh yeah, I remember you. You are,… what's your name again," said Krillin confused.
"Really, Krillin," said Lisanna with a sweatdrop. "At least try to remember peoples names."
"ITS YAJIROBE, YOU KNOW THAT," yelled the man angrily. "Now quit asking stupid questions."
"Yajirobe, huh," said Gajeel with a thoughtful look. "He looks to be a bit out of shape to be a swordsman."
Erza chuckled. "You have a point. Though, I met many opponents that were a bit on the heavy side. And they were still very capable in a fight."
Lucy nodded. "Yeah, that's true. Like Ichiya from blue Pegasus."
Erza shivered when she heard that name.
"Listen, Korin told me to tell you to come to the tower for special training."
"Korin," said Natsu confused. "Where have I heard that name before?"
"Wasn't Korin that big white cat with the cane," said Gray with a thoughtful look. "You know, the one in Goku's childhood."
All the mages nodded at that.
"Wait, as in, the Korin?"
"Hey look at me I'm know it all Korin," said Yajirobewith a different voice.
All the mages laughed at that.
"Oh, god," said Gajeel with a chuckle. "This guy's funny as hell."
"His acting ability is quite incredible," said Erza amazed. "He even copied this Korin's voice to sound just like him."
Mira nodded. "Yes, quite impressive."
"That's the guy. And he wants you to bring Yamcha, and tin somebody, and uh, chaow whatever."
Lisanna chuckled. "Looks like Yajirobe isn't also good at remembering names."
Mira giggled. "Yes, sounds like it."
"Oh, you mean Tien and Chiaotzu, right," said Krillin.
"Not me," asked Roshi.
"Did I say you?"
Natsu nodded. "Yeah, it's better that old timer doesn't go along with them. He might break a hip."
Laxus chuckled at Natsu's words.
"Why you little brat," said Marakov with a ticked off face. "Show some respect to your elders."
Natsu chuckled nervously. "Sorry about that, gramps."
"Just get over to Korin tower. I'm training with you too."
Erza nodded at that. "A fine example of a swordsman. He shows dedication in honing his skills."
"What, really," said Krillin surprised.
"Yeah, crazy huh? I told Korin There's no way I'm fighting these stupid aliens and he went through the roof. I thought he was going to kill me. He's serious," said Yajirobe with a nervous look.
Erza sighed. "Oh well, it looks I made a mistake in my observation. I thought for sure he was going to be a brave samurai warrior."
Lucy chuckled. "Well, at least this Korin person has Yajirobe on a tight leash."
"Wow, it uh, sounds like we don't have a choice," said a nervous Krillin.
Natsu sighed in annoyance. "Oh man, this sucks. Except for Goku and Piccolo, all of these guys so far have no spine whatsoever. I hope at least this Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu will be a little more courageous."
"Yeah, for real," said Laxus with a sigh.
"You don't. Or at least I did. But I don't care, do whatever you want."
Yajirobe took a few towards his car before he stopped and turned around.
"Oh wait, I almost forgot. Don't wish Goku back with the Dragon Balls until the Saiyan's arrive one year from now."
The mages sighed in relief.
"Good," said Mira with a smile. "At least Goku's message has reached his friends."
"Yeah, but wasn't that Baba lady supposed to deliver that message," said Gajeel confused.
"What," said Bulma surprised. "But, but why?"
"Beats me. Something about special training in the other world or something like that. Some lady named Baba supposed to come by later to tell you the rest. So just ask her," said the Yajirobe with a rude voice.
He started his engine, and flew off.
"Later, losers."
"This Yajirobe is a very rude person," said Wendy with a frown.
Charla nodded in agreement. "Yes, he most certainly is."
"Well, at least that answers my question," said Gajeel.
"Wait, Baba is coming? Out here," said Master Roshi shocked.
"So," said Krillin confused. "What's Goku doing again?"
"No idea," said Roshi.
Erza chuckled. "Well, either way. I'm sure they will find out more about the subject when this lady Baba comes to visit them."
Lucy nodded. "Yeah, I hope we get to see her. I'm really curious what she looks like."
Suddenly Krillin noticed something. " "Hey, I think he might be coming back."
Each mage looked confused at that.
But when screen changed, it did not show Yajirobe. But a very large but joyful man. He wore some kind of Viking helmet. But it he wasn't alone. There was second person driving the vehicle. A person who was very familiar to the mages.
"Isn't that woman," said Lucy with thoughtful look.
Mira smiled. "Yeah, that's Goku's wife Chichi."
Canna frowned. "Yeah, looks like it."
"Hello there," said the giant man with a goofy smile. "Master Roshi, it's good to see you. Hello everybody."
Mira smiled. "What a friendly person this man is."
Roshi was terrified. "Aaah, it's Ox-King and he's with Chichi."
The screen showed Chichi in close-up. The woman had a dangerous look in her eyes.
All the male mages swallowed nervously. This woman was terrifying.
Natsu suddenly began to whisper at his rival. "Is it possible, Gray? Do you think we found another person who's as scary as Erza?"
Gray swallowed nervously. "I don't know. And I really do not want to find out."
"This is bad, right," said Krillin scared. "What do we do? Roshi?"
"Well. I guess it's too late to write that letter," said Roshi nervously.
"Wow," said Lucy with a sweatdrop. "They sure are scared of Chichi. She must be quite intimidating".
Mira chuckled. "Yes, sounds like it."
When the two arrived, The man called Ox-King sat on his knees and greeted Roshi with a bow.
"Master Roshi. It's been far to long. How are you teacher? I hope the years are treating you well?"
All the mages smiled at that. This Ox-King fellow sure respected his teacher a lot.
"Yep, so far so good."
"Alright, where are they," said Chichi with a strict tone. "I know there here somewhere. Start talking."
Gildarts shivered. Oh crap. This woman was terrifying. The crash mage certainly didn't envy Goku.
Marakov swallowed nervously. It was almost like he was back in the past. And he saw the angry glare of his own wife staring him down.
"Goku my boy," said Marakov with a nervous chuckle. "You certainly picked quite a woman to marry."
Erza smiled sadly. "Chichi certainly has a warrior spirit. It's no wonder that Goku fell for her."
"Lucy nodded. Yes, and she's very beautiful."
"Well, uh." said Master Roshi nervously. "It's like this."
The Turtle hermit began to explain what happened. The two were in shock when Roshi finished his story.
"You guys let that Piccolo monster take my son," said Chichi afraid.
"Poor Chichi," said Mira with a sad look. She must be feeling quite scared right now.
Lucy sighed. "Well, you can't blame her. She still thinks Piccolo is an evil person."
"And, you said that Goku had to, that he's uh."
"He's, kinda dead," said Roshi.
Chichi couldn't take it anymore, and fainted.
"Chichi," said Ox-King worriedly. "Oh get the smellingsalts, Krillin."
All the mages were also worried for the woman's wellbeing. Yes, even Canna.
"Oh no, I hope she going to be okay," said Lisanna.
"Yes, I'm sure she will be," said Marakov assuringly. "I think she just needs some rest."
The scene changed towards the valley. But it was nighttime. Piccolo was still hovering close to Gohan's location. But it looked like he was meditating.
Lisanna smiled. "Oh, look at that. Even though Piccolo said he wasn't going to help Gohan anymore. He's still keeping an eye on him."
Natsu grinned. "Hah, I told you he was a good guy underneath all of that grumpiness."
Wendy nodded. "Yes, that's I believe that too."
Gohan opened his eyes and stood up.
The boy frowned sadly. "This is stupid. I don't even know how I got up here."
Gajeel chuckled. "He certainly would be surprised if he found out it was his own strength that brought him there."
The mages nodded with a chuckle.
Gohan suddenly noticed something.
"Why do I still have a shadow when it's nighttime?"
All the mages suddenly had a bad feeling.
"Oh, no. Don't tell me it's…."
"The Full moon," said Erza seriously.
And right they were. Gohan began to turn his head to the sky.
"NO, GOHAN," yelled Mira fearfully. "DON'T LOOK!"
But obviously the boy didn't hear the take-over mage. And he looked up anyway.
"Wow," said the boy with a smile. "It's the biggest moon ever. It's so bright. It must be a full moon. I never seen one of those befo…"
The boy suddenly stopped talking. He looked to be in some kind of trance.
"Oh no," saidJuvia worried. It's too late. Something's happening."
The mages suddenly saw Gohan's eyes turn red. His heart began too beat loudly. Piccolo looked at Gohan in surprise when he felt the spike in Ki.
"Huh, what the?"
The boy's heartbeat began to bounce even louder. Until suddenly, sharp teeth and nails began to grow. The boy's muscles began to grow larger. And his clothes got ripped in the process.
All the mages were in awe at what was happening to Gohan.
Mira began to shed some tears.
"Oh, Gohan. Please be okay," said Mira worriedly.
The boy's body began to grow larger. And brown hair began to grown. Until he became a fearsome looking ape-type monster.
"That must be that Oozaru transformation," said Laxus amazed. "Wow, it's looks intimidating."
Natsu had stars in his eyes. "Gohan looks so cool."
"Aye," said Happy with a nervous smile. "But he also looks quite scary."
The weight of the mighty Oozaru made a part of the rocky pillar that he was standing on collapse. Luckily, the great ape easily landed on the ground without hurting himself.
Gajeel sweatdropped. "Well, he's at least on the ground again."
"Yes, that's true,"said Levi with a frown. "But what now? Does Gohan has control? Or is he going on a rampage?"
The girl's question was quickly revealed when a transformed Gohan destroyed the huge rocky pillar with a single swipe with his left arm.
Levi swallowed nervously. "Well, I guess that answers my question."
Gohan went out of control. And destroyed pillar after pillar with large mouth beams.
"Poor Gohan," said Mira sadly. "He isn't in his right state of mind. His Saiyan instincts have completely taken over."
All the mages nodded sadly.
Elfman gritted his teeth. Gohan is going through the same thing he did so many years ago. He just hoped that the boy will be alright. And he won't kill anyone by accident.
"If he keeps this up, the Earth will be destroyed before the Saiyans even get here," said Piccolo with a worried look.
"Then do something about it you damm moron," said Mira with a glare.
Calm down, sis," said Lisanna.
"How do I stop him," said Piccolo with a frustrated look.
"Either he has to cut of Gohan's tail or destroy the moon," said Erza with thoughtful look.
"Oh," said Natsu with a grin. "Like you did on Galuna Island."
Lucy sighed. "Erza didn't destroy the moon, Natsu. She destroyed the purple barrier that surrounded the Island."
Natsu chuckled. "Oh yeah. But don't you think that Erza could have destroyed the real moon back then?"
Erza smiled at the pink dragon slayer. "Unfortunately Natsu. My attacks don't have such a high reach."
Piccolo suddenly looked behind remembered the conversation Goku had with Raditz about a Saiyan needing the Full moon to unlock their true potential.
"That's it, the full moon. They need the moon."
Lisanna smiled. "Looks like Piccolo figured it out himself."
"Took him long enough," said Mira with a frown.
"But what now," said Levi curious. "What's he planning to do? Now that he figured the moon is the source of Gohan's power."
"Either he's planning to destroy the moon or cut Gohan's tail, said Erza with a thoughtful look.
Natsu grinned. "Destroy the moon, Piccolo."
"No, he has to cut off Gohan's tail. That way he won't be able transform and he can leave the moon intact," said Lucy.
Piccolo decision came clear when he powerd up an attack. And released it towards the moon. A beam of yellow Ki struck his target and obliterated it out of existence.
Lucy sighed. "What a waste. What does destroying the moon accomplish."
" A lot actually," said Laxus with a smirk.
"Don't get me wrong, In another scenario I rather would have liked him to leave the moon intact. But, now that Piccolo has destroyed the moon. The other two Saiyan's won't be able transform and use it to their advantage"
gray nodded with a grin. "Yeah, that's right. That was actually pretty smart of him."
Lucy sighed. "Still a waste of that gorgeous moon."
The girl's nodded at that.
Gohan began to revert back to his normal appearance. The boy was now sleeping soundly. Though, he was naked as the day he was born.
Mira sighed in relief. "At least Gohan is back to normal."
Piccolo landed close to a sleeping Gohan he was a bit out of breath from using so much of his energy.
"So that's the secret of Saiyan's power. It's that tail of theirs. Somehow it gives them the ability to transform at a full moon."
"Wow, you figured it out," said Mira with a snort. "What do you want? A Cookie?"
"Mira," said Marakov with strict voice. "That's quite enough. I understand your reason for not liking Piccolo. I too don't approve of his methods. But don't let your emotions control you. And make you judge Piccolo at each thing he says or do."
Mira sighed. "I understand Master. And you're probably right. I may have let my emotions get the better of me when it comes to Piccolo."
"As long as you understand, my dear," said Marakov with a warm grandfatherly smile.
"If that's the case it's probably for the best that I destroyed it."
Piccolo looked around at the destruction that Gohan had caused.
"If a boy did this much damage. I hate to think what the other two Saiyan's would have done when they arrived."
"Yeah, that's certainly a terrifying thought," said Gildarts with a frown.
He was certain he was capable of subduing Gohan. But, if a stronger Saiyan who was on his level of power could transform. The crash mage was certain he would lose. Though, he never went all out in a fight before. Except against Achnologia.
But that thing was a freak of nature. And magic had no effect against dragons. Only dragon slayer magic.

"Now, without the moon they won't be able to transform. And we'll be at a more leveling playing field."
Erza nodded. "That's correct. That certainly was a briljant ideafrom Piccolo."
"Yes," said Wendy with a smile. "And since the moon is gone, which is a sad thing. Gohan won't have to worry about transforming into that creature again."
"Yeah, you're right about that," said Lucy with a smile.
"In fact, we have an advantage now. Because we know that their tails are a weak point. Which means right now, the kid's tail is only a liability."
Piccolo took Gohan's tail in his hands and ripped it off.
Happy and his fellow exceeds cringed at the sight.
"Why that barbarian," said Charla with a frown. "He could at least do it a bit more gentle."
Everybody chuckled at the exceed's answer.
"There, said Piccolo with a smirk. Now you need some new clothes. Maybe a sword. I suppose I could at least provide you with that much."
Piccolo fired a yellow beam at Gohan. When the light faded, Gohan wore the same clothes that his father did. Next to Gohan lay beautiful sword In a red scabbard.
All the mages were amazed by Piccolo's ability to create clothes and swords. It reminded them of Erza's Requip magic.
Erza herself smiled at the sight. Who would have guessed that Piccolo would have some kind of similar ability as her.
Lisanna chuckled. "Oh dear. Looks like Piccolo just can't stop himself from helping Gohan out."
Levi grinned. "He acts maybe tough. And he is grumpy most of the time. But I bet he is a big softy underneath all that harsh demeanor. He reminds me how Gajeel used to be when he first arrived in Fairy tail."
The iron dragon slayer blushed at the comment.
Piccolo chuckled. "The clothes are like your father's. But the symbol shows you you're from my camp."
Gray smiled softly. "Guess this proves that Piccolo wants to pass his knowledge on to Gohan."
Marakov nodded with a smile. "Yes, and perhaps right now Piccolo doesn't seem to realize it himself. But by training the boy, his demeanor will slowly change. Ever so slightly."
All the mages were surprised at Their master's words.
"Wait," said Lucy with a shocked look. "You think that Gohan is the reason why Piccolo will change?"
Marakov chuckled. "Yes, I believe so."
Mira frowned. Was what Master said true? Was Gohan actually going to be the reason of Piccolo's change of heart? She would have never predicted that outcome. Mira knew that Malia had said that Piccolo was going to be a protector. But honestly, she had her doubts ever since Piccolo kidnapped Gohan.
But, she had to admit. Although Piccolo's teachings could be questioned. Not forgetting the fact that Piccolo had threw Gohan at a mountain and left him out in the wild to take care of himself.
He always made sure that he was close by. He even gave Gohan those apples. Sure, it wasn't much, but still. The act alone was out of character for Piccolo. She sighed. She didn't know if her Master was right about this. I guess the only way to find out the truth for herself was to keep watching.
"That's it. I already did more for you than I intended. I don't have time to babysit you any longer. I have my own training to do."
Laxus sighed. "Yeah. In some way he makes sense. If he doesn't start training soon. He will never reach the same level as Raditz or those other two Saiyan's."
The mages nodded at that.
"If you can survive out here for six months on your own you'll see me again."
Piccolo clenched his fist. He had a smirk on his face.
"And then you'll see what you're made of when your real training begins. Because once you learn what I have in store for you. I promise, you're are going to wish you had died."
All the mages swallowed nervously.
"Uh, Malia," said Lucy witha nervous look. "Are you sure that Piccolo is going to be a good guy?"
Malia chuckled. "Yes. Hard to believe, isn't it?"
"I'll say," said Canna with a shiver. "The way he was talking. It's almost like he's going to kill Gohan."
"Well, the training is going to be pretty tough. But don't you worry. Gohan will pull through. And becomes a lot stronger in the process."
Everyone smiled at that.
The voice of the storyteller could be heard again on the background.
"The Earth's fighters are one step closer to being prepared for the Saiyan's arrival. But for son and father alike. A long hard road still lays ahead. Next time."
"Natsu pouted. "Oh man, it's already break time? I wanted to see more."
Everyone chuckled at the dragon slayer's words. Except Gray, he just snorted.
Malia chuckled. "Don't worry Natsu. After your break I will skip six months ahead. You will not only see the progress that everyone has made. But you will also see Goku reaching the end of snake way and meeting King Kai."
Everyone, especially Natsu grinned at that. "That's awesome. I can't wait."
Erza nodded. "Yes, I also am looking forward to see the results of their training."
Lisanna suddenly grinned. "In the mean time. You two can tell us all about your moving in together situation."
Lucy and Natsu blushed. But nodded with a smile.

Hello everyone. I'm back again with another chapter. Crazy right? I only started this story about maybe two weeks ago. My other stories are currently on hold. And will be for a long time.
