"You mean Freya got upset and took Grabdpa Deadly's magic away or froze it, because he made all the words in her favourite books in the library disappear. But it was an April Fools joke like the others he pulled today and he said sorry." Jareth told his mons. "Yeah but what he did to the library was too far and Freya's safe-space so it's understandable she's upset." Kaley told him.
It was the first of April meaning April Fool's Day or to Deadly, Mischief Day where his playful mischief ran riot and delighting the Pimperton kids making them laugh until a prank in the library involving making all the words in the booms vanish had upset his and Bentley's daughter Freya to the pount where she'd froze his magic which had stopped the mischief spells setting everything right, except the books but Deadly gulped seeing his favourite stirybook, the one his and Dudley's dad, Jareth Senior reas to them when they were little.
"Since you ruined all my favourite books, I think you should get a taste of your own medicibe." Freya declared maniacally laughing making Sneaker surprised and Jareth stunned. "Can't you say or do something to show her you're sorry. She might calm down if you do." Gaia said seeing Becca and Kiwi nod.
"I wish I could but she froze my magic. Wait a second, Sneaker what're you doing." Deadly replied noticing Sneaker had one of Freya's favourite books which still had the words and reading aloud which was calming her down relieving the adults especially Dudley now his and Deadly's favourite book was safe seeing Sneaker hug Freya
"Can I have my magic back sweetie." Deadly asked her seeing a frown on the frost-dragon youngster's face at her dad's question. "Maybe tomorrow since it's still Mischief Day and if I give it back, you're just gonna cause antics again." Freya said in a soft spojen tone, her normal way of speaking relieving her cousins and the adults hearing her yawning as using that much magic had exhausted her goibg to her room.
"I guess Mischief Day's over early, huh." Jareth asked Deadly.
"Without my magic, I guess so but Freya's calm. I never meant to upset her making all the words in the books disappear and thought she'd find it hilarious." he told them making Daphne and Kaley exchange a look making Deadly and the kids curious meaning they were about to impart some wisdom. "Yes dad sone of what you did was hilarious like breakfast on the ceiling, however the prank in the library even though you didn't plan for it to upset, but it ended upsetting somebody you love.
Mischief Day can be fun until somebody takes it too far, and that spell in the library went too far to Freya. The castle library is her safe-space and sanctuary on days like today but maybe when you get your magic back, you can show her you're sorry." Kaley explained in a gentle but firm tone so not just Deadly but the kids would understand the message. "It's why Mom banned Mischief Day when she and dad were the king and queen because Deadly went into hardcore mischief which impacted the kingdom." Dudley said making the kids especially Jareth curious wanting to hear what his awesome grandpa did.
"Maybe another tine, I'm already in trouble and don't want o cause more, by giving you ideas." Deadly told the frost-goblin youngster going to his study.. "Alright Becca, Gaia, Kiwi it's naptime." Jessica saidto the three youngest members of the family.
The family were understanding that Freya had stayed in her room, even Dudley had asked a servant to bring her food to her room knowing maybe in the morning, she might feel better and probabky getting ready to stargaze because they knew she stayed up stargazing making Deadly sigh being quiet knowing he'd made a mistake letting Freya be seeing his husband, Bentley hug him knowing tomorrow would be a better day.
