Chapter 11: Hopes on the Spirit Bomb. Work a Miracle Gohan.

"Aaaah," said Gajeel with a satisfying smile on his face. "That was some good fish."

Everybody nodded in agreement.

"And they were huge," said Happy with a grin. "Much bigger than those back home."

"Yep," said Natsu. "They sure were." The dragonslayer patted his stomach in satisfaction. "And now I'm full and ready to react again."

Malia chuckled. "Very well. Since you all seem full and satisfied. Let's continue the reaction."

The screen started to show again what happened last time. With the o so familiar storyteller in the background.

"Last time. Sick of his comrade's incompetence, Vegeta removed Nappa from the battlefield."

The mages frowned angrily at that. They couldn't believe someone would kill their own comrade. And in such a backstabbing way.

"As the fight between Goku and Vegeta began. Goku quickly realized that in order to match his opponent's incredible power. He had to push his body beyond its limits."

"Goku," thought Erza, Canna, and Mira worriedly.

"When Goku used the Kaio ken times 3, it seemed Goku had the upper hand. However, the evil Saiyan prince had one last trick up his sleeve. And created a fake moon to transform into a fearsome Great Ape."

Natsu clenched his fist in anger. "Damm, that bastard. Using such a cowardly trick."

Elfman nodded in agreement. "Yeah, he's not a real man."

"Will Goku survive this terrible ordeal? And will Gohan and Krillin be able to help out our hero? Find out now."

Mira couldn't help but clench her fists in worry. "Be save, Gohan."

The screen started to show the battlefield. Goku was still dodging the Great Ape's attacks.

Vegeta chuckled evilly. "So, what do you think? Rather impressive, Isn't it?"

Every mage scoffed at the Prince's words.

Goku kept dodging the Monkey's attacks.

"What the heck is going on here," said Goku in shock. "So, he's some kind of ape monster."

The mages couldn't help but feel a bit worried. Not only because of Goku's safety. But also the possibility of Goku finding out he was responsible for his grandfather's death.

Vegeta smirked. "Allow me to let you in on a little secret. When I take the form of a great ape. My strength increases tenfold."

Vegeta smashed the ground where Goku was standing. Luckily, our hero managed to dodge it.

But as he flew through the air, Goku suddenly had a look of realization on his face. The screen began to change to an image of a little Goku(which made girls say awwww)and his grandfather, Gohan.

"Now, Goku. You know very well that a giant gorilla monster lurks about during a full moon. You must say indoors tonight. Sound asleep if you can."

"Oh, no," said Mira sadly. "He's figuring it out."

Marakov sighed sadly. "Well, he was going to figure it out sooner or later. Let's just hope he doesn't blame himself too hard."

The image on the screen changed to another memory. This time it was Kami who was standing in front of Goku. Well, sort of. The mages could only see his tail.

"Well, now. Not to worry, my boy. We can fix this little nuisance of yours so it never grows back. I warn you. It might sting a bit."

The exceeds cringed at that.

"I hope nobody will try to pull my tail off," said Panther Lilly with a shiver.

Happy and Charles could only nod at that.

The image on the screen changed slowly. From a great ape to the current Goku. By the look on his face, the mages could see he had finally found out the truth.

"So that's why. It all makes sense now. But, if it's true," said Goku with sorrow in his voice. "If I'm really like this guy. Then the monster who stamped my grandpa Gohan to death and smashed up the tournament grounds all those years ago..." Goku's eyes gained a painful look. "That, that was me, wasn't it?"

"Goku," said Erza sadly. "Don't blame yourself. You had no control over your actions."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I owe it to you, grampa. I owe it to you and everyone else to take this guy down. Even if it kills me."

The mages gained sad looks on their faces.

"No, please. Not again. Don't sacrifice yourself again, Goku," thought Erza sadly.

She held her heart in worry. The scarlet mage couldn't see him die a second time.

Canna was the same. She clenched her two fists in frustration. "You better not die again, you big lug."

Goku frowned sadly. "And if I see you in the next world. I'll make it a point to say sorry for all the terrible things I must have done."

"I doubt Gohan blames you, my boy," said Marakov with a soft smile. "No parent could ever hold a grudge against his children. No matter how stubborn or reckless they might be."

"Oh, Master," said Mira with a smile. "That was so heartwarming to hear."

A few mages couldn't help but let out a few tears after their Grandfather's speech.

The scène changed towards Gohan and Krillin.

"Hold on, dad. I'm coming," thought the young boy.

Krillin smiled as he saw the determination in Gohan's eyes. "Yeah, Goku. He's definitely your son."

Gajeel grinned at that. "Yep, he sure is. The little tyke has a lot of heart."

They all nodded.

The screen changed again to the battlefield. Where Goku was trying to gather the energy he needed to create a Spirit bomb. But just as some of the mages predicted. Vegeta didn't allow him any time. And Goku wasn't fast enough to dodge the great ape's fearsome attacks.

"Damm, I was afraid this was going to happen," said Grey with an agitated look.

The mages nodded sadly. The situation looked hopeless. Until Goku suddenly blinded the evil Saiyan with a technique called the Solar flare.

"Hell yeah," said Natsu with a grin. "Way to go, man."

Wendy smiled. "All hope Isn't lost yet. Let's hope he has enough time to gather the energy he needs."

Mira frowned worriedly. "Let's hope so."

But unfortunately, things don't always go as we hope. Right as Goku managed to gather the energy, he needed to create the Spirit bomb. Vegeta regained his sight. And fired a powerful mouth blast at our hero.

"NOOOO, GOKU," yelled the mages in fright.

When the dust of the explosion vanished. The mages sighed in relief and worry. Goku was still alive. But he was hurt badly. He was on his back, completely worn out.

"Damm. He's so strong in this form. It's unbelievable. Looks like I miscalculated. So much for my big plan. All I managed to do was waste a perfectly good move."

"Damm, this doesn't look good at all. How is he going to get out of this situation," said Fried worriedly.

Bickslow frowned. "I don't know."

Vegeta smirked. "Ha, you put up a good struggle. But it appears you've reached the end of your rope. Am I right?"

The mages clenched their fists in frustration. They didn't like to admit it. But Vegeta had a point. What could Goku possibly do in such a dire situation?

Goku stood up weakly. "He's got me. I used up all my energy making that Spirit bomb. There's nothing left to use. I don't stand a chance of winning, not now."

"Goku," said Mira worriedly.

Natsu gritted his teeth. "Dammit, this is frustrating. Not being able to help."

Vegeta laughed. "Whatever shall you do?"

The Prince stomped the ground Goku was standing on. Goku dodged it. But he was unable to avoid a powerful punch that made him crash into a rocky pillar. But what happened next made every emotional mage cry. Vegeta jumped in the air and crushed Goku's legs. The screams of agony made all the mages shut their ears.

"No, Goku," said Lissana through her tears.

Erza and Canna couldn't believe this was really happening. This was the second time that Goku was in so much pain. First, his so-called brother crushes his ribs. And now this evil bastard Vegeta crushes his two legs. But this scream that Goku made was louder than before.

Erza suddenly let out her magic aura. "Why that bastard. How dare he."

Canna wasn't far behind the red-haired mage. Her own magic aura engulfed her. "I'm going to kill that creep."

Everyone tried to calm the two females down.

Vegeta smirked. "Whoops. Sorry, my mistake. I ought to be more careful where I step. How clumsy of me. But then again. You're lucky I crushed your legs and not your skull."

Mira glared at giant Oozaru. "Why, you bastard. How dare you."

All the mages glared at Vegeta. Right now, this guy was even worse than either Raditz or Nappa.

"This is the end of the line, Kakarot. Even if you do manage to come back to life. This planet won't be around anymore."

Goku smiled. "Well, that's it. He, he really beat me good. I knew he was tough. But I never imagined he would be that much stronger than me. Now I see how much training I still need to do when this is over."

Lucy sighed. "Even in such a state. All Goku is thinking about is getting stronger instead of his health."

All the girls nodded in agreement. The men, however, grinned.

"DIE," yelled Vegeta.

But right before Saiyan could finish him. Goku used the last of his energy to attack his eye.

"Bullseye," said Gajeel with a smirk. "Way to go, man."

"That had to hurt," said Gildarts with a grin.

Goku chuckled weakly. "Consider that a little farewell present. I don't have the strength to lift a finger. So just do what gonna do to me, alright? Take your best shot."

"Goku," thought everyone sadly.

"No, it can't end like this," thought Erza sadly. "Don't die again."

"Damm you. How dare you leave a scar on this face. Nobody does that to me."

Canna smirked. "Hey, if you ask me. It's a heck of an improvement."

Every mage chuckled at that.

"Aye," said Happy with a snicker.

Vegeta grabbed Goku's tired body between his hands.

"Just for that, I'm going to crush you like a grape," said the Prince angrily.

"You filthy hairy ape," said Mira with a glare. "How dare you take out your frustrations on Goku because of some silly scar."

"Yeah," said Lucy with a frown. "Compared to what he did to Goku, that was nothing."

Everyone was horrified by the painful screams Goku began to make when Vegeta started to crush him in his hands.

"NOOO! GOKU," yelled Erza with a painful scream.

The mages clenched their fists in frustration. There was nothing they could do. The only thing they could do was watch. How infuriating it may be.

The screen showed Yajirobe again. His face had a look of horror when he heard Goku's screams.

"Poor Goku. He's not just in trouble. He is toast. He's a goner."

"Yajirobe. Please go help him," said Wendy, with tears falling from his eyes.

"Yeah," said Natsu with a frown. "Stop being a chicken and help Goku out."

"Believe me, man. I would help you out. But I mean, look. I got to look out for Nr. 1 here."

The mages frowned at that.

Erza clenched her fist in anger."Why that good for nothing. How dare he calls himself a swordsman."

"He's being selfish," said Canna with a glare.

Marakov sighed. "I understand your anger, girls. But even if Yajirobe would help. It won't help Goku. He doesn't have a chance against Vegeta. It would only end in tragedy."

Gildarts nodded. "Yes. You are right about that, Master. Besides," said Gildarts with a soft frown. "Look closely at Yajirobe's expression."

The mages looked at the samurai with deep detail. Each time Goku's screams got louder. The mages saw all kinds of different emotions Yajirobe went through. Sadness, frustration. But mostly regret.

"Oh, poor Yajirobe. I think deep down. He really wants to help Goku. But he's just too scared."

"Yes, seems so," said Lucy sadly.

The screen changed again to Gohan and Krillin.

"Down there," said the monk with a frown. "That's where we'll find them. I don't know where that weird ball of light came from. But I can tell from Goku's energy they are right under it. What in the world is that thing anyway?"

"A nuisance, Krillin," said Lucy with a frown. "A big nuisance."

"Look. There they are," said Gohan.

Krillin was shocked when he saw the giant Oozaru. "Gohan, dive. Don't even look. Just get to cover."

"W-what is t-that," said Gohan with a terrified look.

"Listen to Krillin, Gohan," said Mira worriedly.

"Do as tell you right now," said the monk with a stern look.

They both landed on the ground and continued on foot.

"What's that I hear," said Vegeta with an evil grin. "Is every bone in your body breaking? That must hurt."

"Damm, that foul beast," said Erza with a glare.

"He's squeezing the life out of him. C'mon, Gohan."

The boy nodded. "Right behind you."

"Please be careful, you two," said Mira sadly.

"I'm sure they'll be alright," said Marakov with a comforting smile.

Suddenly, Yajirobe appeared in front of Gohan and Krillin.

"Wait," said the samurai with an urgent look.

Both Krillin and Gohan came to a halt.

"Yajirobe," said Krillin, a bit shocked.

"Look, the Saiyan guy has turned into some kind of giant Gorilla monster thing. You see?"

"Way to tell the obvious, man," said Gray with a sigh.

"Uh, yeah. No kidding," said Krillin sarcastically.

"There's no way the two of you can take him head-on. Don't even try it," said Yajirobe sternly.

Mira chuckled a bit. "Well, at least he cares about their safety."

Erza sighed. "Yes. That he does."

"I know he's powerful. But if we can cut off his tail, he'll shrink back down to normal," said Krillin with a determined look.

"Wait? What," said Yajirobe shocked.

"His tail," said Gohan confused.

"That is an excellent plan, Krillin," said Juvia with a smile.

Gray nodded. "Yes. Though he will still be quite dangerous to deal with. But they will at least stand a better chance of beating him."

Laxus nodded. "Yeah. And Vegeta has been weakened enough, thanks to Goku." The lightning mage smirked. "They might pull this off, after all."

Let's hope so, said Canna with a worried look.

Gildarts smiled and gave her daughter a pat on the head. Don't worry your head over it, Canna. I'm sure everything will work out fine.

"I want the two of you to swing around to the front. Try to distract him. Make sure his eyes are off of me. Then I sneak up behind him and chop off his tail with all I've got. Hurry up. Time is not on our side."

Gohan nodded. "Yeah, right."

"A simple but brilliant plan," said Lucy with a smile. "Krillin is on top of things."

Lisanna nodded. "Yes, that he is."

Yajirobe, however, had a different opinion about Krillin's strategy. "Yeah, sure. Piece of cake. No prob. What, are you out of your stinking mind? You haven't seen what I've seen. Even at normal size, this guy is not someone you wanna mess with."

The mages sighed at the samurai's words.

"Well, we all should have seen this coming," said Lisanna with a sweatdrop.

Lucy nodded. "Yajirobe really has no motivation to help his friends."

Natsu snorted. "He is just a coward that thinks only about his own safety."

Gildarts hit the dragon slayer on his head. "Enough, Natsu. Yajirobe may not be heroic like Goku or the rest of his friends. But so what? Not everyone will casually risk their lives to protect those close to them. But that doesn't mean he doesn't care about his friends."

Marakov nodded. "Right, you are. If Yajirobe wanted to leave. He could have done that a long time ago. Yet he decided to stay and make sure Goku was alright. That means something in my eyes."

Mira nodded. "Yes, Master. You are right."

The screen showed Gohan and Krillin. Who we're running toward their positions.

"Hold on, dad. We're gonna save you."

"Oh no," thought Krillin worriedly. "Goku's power is almost completely gone. If we can't pull this off. He's as good as dead."

All of the mages clenched their fists in worry. They all hoped that everything would turn out okay. And it did. In the next following scenes, they saw how Krillin created a Kienzan to cut off Vegeta's tail. Even though Vegeta managed to dodge it. He was unable to dodge the sneak attack from a certain heavy swordsman.

They all cheered.

"Yes, way to go, Yajirobe," said Lucy with a smile.

Erza smiled. "Maybe I have judged him too early."

Vegeta being angry was an understatement. He was out for blood. He had set his eyes on Gohan and began beating the young child.

Mira was crying her eyes out. "No, Gohan. Please don't die."

Krillin tried to save the young child. Buy he was easily dealt with by Vegeta. The Saiyan Prince grabbed Gohan from the ground and held him in front of him.

"C'mon, fight. This can't be all you've got? Show me some half-breed nerve. Or does the apple not fall far from the tree?"

Erza and Canna glared at Vegeta's words.

Vegeta headbutted the young child. The painful screams of Gohan made all of the mages angry beyond belief.

But Mira was silent. "Fight," said Mira with a soft whisper. "Fight." The takeover mage stood up. "FIGHT, GOHAN! YOU CAN DO IT!"

Vegeta smirked. "Well, you certainly bleed just like your fighter. It seems only fitting that I'll let you die alongside him. There's poetry in that."

The Prince threw Gohan at his father's side.

"W-way t-to go, G-Gohan," said a weakened Goku.

"Goku has regained consciousness," said Lucy with relief.

Mira nodded. "Yes, it appears so."

In the next following scene, they saw how Goku tried to convince his son to hold off Vegeta. While he gets Krillin to finish the job.

"What is Goku planning to do," said Levi confused. "In Krillin's state, there isn't much he can do to help."

"Yeah, you're right about that," said Gajeel with a frown.

"I'm sorry," said Gohan in pain. "I can't even move anymore."

"C'mon, son. Just think of all the sacrifices our friends made for us. Would Piccolo want you to just lay down and die?"

Gohan's eyes opened wide when he heard that.

"You can do it, Gohan," said Natsu with a smile.

"Yeah, kid," said Gajeel with a grin. "Show that bastard what you can do."

Goku reached out his hand. "It's all up to you, son."

The mages smiled at the small scene. But they glared in anger when Vegeta ruined it by slamming his knee into Goku's stomach.

"DAMM HIM," yelled Mira angrily. "HOW DARE THAT BASTARD RUIN SUCH A HEARTWARMING SCENE BETWEEN FATHER AND SON! IF I EVER SEE HIM, I'M GOING TO RIP OFF HIS BALLS AND FEED THEM TO WYVERNS!"

All of the men turned white in fright. "Poor Vegeta," they all thought.

Vegeta began to pummel the defenseless Goku.

Goku's screams of agony made some of the mages sad and angry. But Gohan was breaking when he heard his father's painful screams.

"No. No, stop." Gohan couldn't take it anymore, and he snapped.

"I SAID STOOOOP! YOU WANNA FIGHT? LET'S GO!"

Gohan unleashed a powerful blast at the Saiyan Prince. Vegeta managed to dodge it. But he was caught by surprise when Gohan suddenly appeared in front of him and kicked him right in the chin.

"YEAH! NOW THAT'S MANLY!"

"Way to go, kid," said Laxus with a grin.

"Krillin. Krillin, come here. Come here. Please hurry."

The monk weakly walked toward his best friend. The mages were all wondering what Goku's plan was. And what was Krillin's part in it?

"I don't see how we can beat him, Goku," said the bald man in frustration. "He's a machine. Why didn't you just tell Gohan to run away?"

"Yes, I'm also confused why Goku didn't say that," said Lucy. She then smiled softly. "Then again. I doubt Gohan would run away in the first place. Not without leaving his father and Krillin behind."

Mira and Erza smiled. "Yes, that's true," they both said.

"J-just l-listen to m-me," said Goku weakly. "I meant to give this to you. It's the energy that I managed to gather up for the Spirit bomb."

The mages were shocked.

"Wait? He still has some left," said Lisanna surprised. "I thought he lost all of it when Vegeta attacked him with that mouth blast?"

"Me too," said Wendy.

"Wait," said Krillin confused. "You're giving me what?"

Goku smiled. "I-I used half. But there still should be enough left over to pack a real punch. You may not think so. But he is weak enough for you to take him. If you can pull this off, we've got him. I know it."

"That, guy," said Gajeel with a smirk. "He really is something else."

Panther Lilly nodded. "Yes, He always seems to have some kind of plan up his sleeve. And he never loses hope. No matter how dire the situation is."

"This is great news," said Wendy with a smile. "There is still hope they'll win this."

Krillin, however, had his doubts. "But... I."

"You can do it," said Goku, interrupting his friend. "Just grab my hand and trust me."

"Okay, sorry. But I'm still lost here," said Krillin confused.

"Now," said Goku urgently. "Before it's too late."

"Just take his hand, Krillin," said Gray, annoyed. "Before I smack you."

The mages chuckled at the ice mages' words.

"How do you know this is gonna work?"

"Do it," said Goku.

Krillin finally nodded and grabbed Goku's hand.

Goku yelled in pain.

"Why didn't you tell me you have broken your arm," said the monk worriedly.

The mages sweatdropped.

"Because he's Goku," thought Lucy with a sigh. "A moron without common sense." Lucy smiled softly. "Just like, Natsu."

"Don't worry about it," said Goku with a smile. "Just hold on. And, uh, brace yourself."

The mages saw how Goku began to close his eyes in concentration. Not soon after, Krillin's hand had received the familiar energy of the Spirit Bomb.

Krillin was shocked. "What did you give to me? I mean, this power. It's absolutely incredible."

"Yeah, I don't doubt that," said Lisanna nervously. "It is energy from all the lifeforms on the planet, after all. Well, half of it, anyway."

Mira nodded. "Yes, true enough. But still, even half the power. It's still quite dangerous. As King Kai told Goku before. Will Krillin be able to handle such a difficult task?"

Natsu grinned. "I have no doubt that Krillin will exceed."

"Aye. Go, go, Krillin," said Happy with a cheer.

"Don't let it overwhelm you," said Goku. "If you focus it just above your palm. You should be able to make an energy ball."

While Krillin was struggling to form a ball. Gohan and Vegeta were still dishing out blows to each other. Gohan managed to land an elbow strike on his opponent's left eye. The same eye that Goku managed to scar earlier today. So you can imagine how much that hurt.

The mages smirked at that.

But Vegeta wasn't done yet. He glared angrily at Gohan. And struck the boy from above with his two fists, which made him fall to the ground below.

"FILTHY CHILD," yelled Vegeta in rage.

Mira clenched her fists in anger. "Why, you bastard. How dare you call Gohan filthy."

Canna snorted. "I think it's the opposite. Gohan at least washes. I doubt that brute has ever heard of a shower."

The mages laughed at that.

The screen showed Krillin again. Who finally managed to form a ball. The mages marveled at the beautiful sphere that was hovering above Krillin's palm.

"It's so beautiful," said Lisanna with a smile.

"Yes. And I expect it's quite destructive as well," said Marakov with a nervous look.

Erza smiled. "Good job, Krillin. Well done."

"Holy crap," said Krillin, a bit shocked. "So, what now?"

"Now, you use it," said Goku seriously. "To put an end to this."

"This is it," said Levi with a frown. "Please let this work."

Vegeta was still fighting Gohan. "I had enough of you," said Vegeta angrily as he punched the boy across his face.

"GOHAN," yelled all the mages worriedly.

"Krillin," said Goku tiredly. "You've got to hit him squire on. I won't be able to make another one of those. Unless you can take him down in one shot, we're dead."

"One shot, huh? Well, here goes."

"You can do this, Mr. Krillin. Believe in yourself, and you will succeed," said Wendy with a smile.

"Aye," said Happy.

the mages saw how Krillin jumped to higher ground. But they also saw that hitting Vegeta with the Spirit Bomb might be more difficult than they first thought. He was moving and disappearing each time Gohan unleashed an attack.

"This is troublesome," said Gray, annoyed. "Hitting that Vegeta guy from such a distance won't be easy. Especially if he keeps disappearing like that."

The mages nodded.

Krillin frowned. "Damm. Unless he's standing still. I can't hit him. Not from here."

Suddenly, the mages heard the voice of King kai on the screen. He was talking to the monk telepathically.

"You do not aim the Spirit Bomb by what you see but at what you feel. Sense the evil energy of the evil Saiyan and let go."

The bald man was freaking out when he heard the voice. "Hey, who's there?"

The mages chuckled at Krillin's antics.

"I am King Kai. I am the one who taught Goku how to use the Spirit Bomb."

"The actual King Kai," said Krillin amazed.

"Yes, Thank you. You've only got one shot at this, so use it wisely. What you do with the Spirit Bomb in your hands will determine the fate of your entire world."

Krillin swallowed nervously. "You say everyone on the planet is depending on me?"

"That's a lot of pressure," said Lucy with a sweatdrop. "But you can do this, Krillin."

Erza nodded. "Yes, I believe that as well."

The screen showed Vegeta. Who had begun to shoot Ki blasts toward a tired Gohan.

"Dammit," said Gajeel with a frown. "If one of those blasts hits him, it's over."

"RUN, GOHAN," yelled Mira worriedly

Gohan managed to evade a direct hit. But the force of the attacks made him fly through the air and smash into a rock formation. He was trapped. There was nowhere to run.

"No, Gohan," said Lucy sadly.

Vegeta laughed as he ran towards his target. "I hope you're watching closely, Kakarot. Because this is the last time you'll ever see your pathetic excuse of a son."

All of the mages glared coldly at the evil Saiyan's words.

"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HIM," yelled Mira angrily.

The screen showed Krillin again. Who finally sensed the energy of his target.

"I've got it."

Yajirobe, however, was annoyed at Krillin's stalling. And yelled at the monk. Which unfortunately made Vegeta aware Of Krillin's position.

"DAMMIT YAJIROBE," yelled the mages angrily.

"What an idiot," said Krillin, a bit pissed off at the swordsman. "HERE GOES."

The monk threw the Spirit Bomb at his target. But mages cursed when the evil Saiyan jumped over it at the last second.

"Dammit, he missed," said Natsu annoyed. "This is all Yajirobe's fault."

The mages couldn't deny Natsu's words. If Yajirobe didn't yell at Krillin. Then Vegeta might have never found out about the attack.

"Oh, no," said Wendy. "The Spirit Bomb is heading straight at Gohan."

Indeed it was. The boy was staring at the attack in wonder.

"DODGE IT, GOHAN," yelled Mira and Lisanna in fright.

But suddenly, everyone heard Goku's voice talking telepathically at his son.

"Gohan, you have to bounce it back."

"He has to do what," said everyone shocked.

"The Spirit Bomb was aimed at Vegeta's evil energy. If you don't have any evil in you, You'll be okay."

Gohan listened to his father's words and stood up. He braced himself and stretched out his arms. And when the Spirit Bomb touched Gohan's hands. it didn't hurt. And he was easily able to bounce the ball back toward Vegeta.

The mages cheered when the ball hit Vegeta.

"NOOOOOOO," yelled Vegeta in pure anguish.

The Spirit Bomb expanded in size. and blasted the evil Saiyan into the sky.

"THEY DID IT," yelled King Kai in joy.

"It's finally over," said Mira as she let out a breath of relief.

"Yes, seems so," said Lisanna with a grin.

Krillin cheered loudly. "YAHOO. WE DID IT, GOKU! WE REALLY DID IT! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I DIDN'T THINK WE'D BE ABLE TO DO IT. BUT THEN WE DID!"

Goku let out a deep breath and smiled.

Erza, Canna, and Mira frowned at Goku's injuries.

"He really needs to get treated quickly," said Mira worriedly.

"Yes, that he does," said Erza sadly. "But with all of those broken bones, he has. It won't be possible for him to move. Krillin and the others need to transport him to a hospital."

"Or he needs to get one of those Senzu beans from Korin," said Canna with a thoughtful look. "He'll be healed in no time if he eats one of those."

"I told you you could do it," said Goku toward his son.

Gohan smiled happily. "Yeah."

"So adorable," thought all of the girls when they saw Gohan's smile.

"Things got kinda hairy for a second. But somehow, we pulled it off," said the monk with a grin.

"You both must be really exhausted," said Goku with a soft smile.

Krillin chuckled. "Well, not as much as you."

The happy conversation ended, however, when the body of Vegeta fell to the ground.

"Damm, they really did a number on him," said Elfman impressed.

Canna snorted. "Hmph. If you ask me, he deserves a lot more than that."

"Do you think he's dead," said Wendy with a frown.

"If he isn't. I doubt he'll be able to do anything in the state he's in," said Lucy.

"It's him again," said Gohan, a bit frightened.

Krillin smiled. "It's okay, Gohan. He's dead."

The monk walked toward Vegeta's body.

"You were a monster," said Krillin with a frown. "But I guess we can't just leave your body here. The least we can do is dig you a grave."

The mages smiled at Krillin's words. He was such a kind person. Even to his enemies.

But suddenly. The so-called dead body of Vegeta opened his eyes. "That's a luxury you won't get."

The mages were shocked. And so were Krillin, Goku, and Gohan.

"So he survived that attack, huh," said Gildarts with a frown. "He's more durable than I thought."

Vegeta stood up slowly. "I'll have to admit. You really did a number on me. For a minute, I even thought I was done for."

"Don't tell me he still has energy left to fight," said Gray, annoyed. "What does it take to defeat this guy?"

"He's resilient, that's for sure," said Laxus with a frown.

The monk got scared when Vegeta smirked at him.

"You may have succeeded in wounding me. But I still have enough strength to take care of a weakling like you."

The mages glared when they saw Vegeta smack Krillin to the ground.

Damm, this guy, said Canna annoyed. He doesn't know how to quit.

Mira frowned. She clenched her fists in anger. She really wished she could do something about this situation.

Vegeta glared at Goku and his son. He began to walk in their direction.

"You made me use more of my power than I have in a very long time. And to think that you're just a bunch of puny spiny earth trash. It hurts my pride."

Marakov glared at the Prince when he heard him call Goku and his friend thrash again. The Master of Fairy tail gripped his cane in silent anger.

"I've had enough. I'm finished playing these stupid little games. Now, your time is finally up. So, prepared to be the first humans lucky enough to die by my hands."

Gohan was scared beyond belief.

Mira held her heart in sadness when she saw how scared Gohan was. "Oh, Gohan. I wish I could help you somehow. But there is nothing I can do."

Goku glared at Vegeta as he tried to get up.

"Not... if I... can help it."

"Goku," said Krillin worriedly.

Erza clenched her fists in frustration. Her eyes held anger, regret, and worry. Anger towards Vegeta for doing this. Regret of not being able to help her crush. And worry because Goku might push himself even harder. Which would make his injuries that much graver.

Vegeta let out a powerful yell that made the entire area explode. When the dust vanished. The mages sighed in relief. Goku and his friends were still alive. Everyone was okay for now.

Vegeta breathed harshly. "That attack was pathetic. I'm weaker than I thought." The Prince clenched his fists in anger. "The three of them are alive. Badly hurt but alive." The evil Saiyan lifted off into the air. "I'm injured more than I thought. But I-I need t-to finish them quickly. Before its too late"

"You bastard. They are already down for the count. Just leave already," said Lucy with a harsh glare. "You have won. Just go back to whatever planet it is you came from and leave Earth."

"Yeah," said LIsanna with a glare.

But Vegeta didn't hear them and continued his flight toward his first target. Gohan. However. When Vegeta landed. He discovered a shocking discovery.

The mages smiled.

"Hooray," said Happy with a smile. "Gohan's tail has grown back."

Natsu smirked. "If he's able to transform. He'll be able to defeat Vegeta easily in the state he is in."

"But won't he lose control like before," said Lucy worriedly.

"There's a possibility he will," said Laxus. "But right now, it's their only chance of surviving this battle."

"But Gohan has to look at the moon for it to work. And there's no time. Vegeta will probably prevent it from happening," said Evergreen with worry.

Fried and Bickslow nodded at their teammate's words.

And right she was. Vegeta grabbed the tail and clenched it in his fist. He began to prepare an attack to get rid of the nuisance. But he was stopped by an unsuspected Yajirobe who slashed him from behind.

The mages cheered.

"Way to go, Mr. Yajirobe. That was very brave of you."

"Indeed it was," said Charla. "But it certainly will have consequences."

The female exceed was right. Vegeta was angry beyond belief and attacked the swordsman by punching the hell out of him.

"Poor Yajirobe," said Lisanna with a sad look.

The screen suddenly changed toward Gohan's location. The mage could hear Goku's voice again.

"Gohan, can you hear me? Gohan?"

"That sounds like dad's voice," said the boy tiredly.

The boy fell from his position and landed on his back.

"Gohan, I need you to focus for me. Can you do that?"

"Yeah, I'll try."

"Yeah, that's the way, Gohan," said Natsu with a grin. "You can do it, buddy."

Mira nodded. Normally she would be against it. But right now. Gohan transforming into a Great ape was their only chance of surviving this battle. "You can do it, Gohan."

"See that big ball of light in the sky? Look at it real close, okay?"

"Okay. I'm looking at it, dad. I see it."

Gohan's heartbeat began to beat loudly. Vegeta heard it and tried to intervene.

"No, you don't. Not if I can help it."

But Vegeta was already too late. The transformation had already begun. Gohan began to get larger in size. And just like before, he gained red eyes and sharp teeth and claws. Veget tried to stop it by pulling off his tail. But Gohan smashed him away. The transformation was complete. Gohan had transformed into a Great ape. And as Lucy predicted. He lost control of himself and began to rampage.

"Oh, no," said Krillin worriedly. "This is bad. Whenever Goku transformed, he totally lost control. And turned into a complete monster."

Elfman frowned at that. He knew all too well what it was like to lose of yourself.

Krillin protected himself when the debris of rocks fell on top of him.

"Like father, like son, I guess. But is he really out of control? That Vegeta guy wasn't when he transformed. Maybe when Goku and Gohan change. They can't keep their Saiyan instincts from running wild?"

"Yes, that might be the case," said Marakov in deep thought. "Maybe Vegeta managed to control those instincts from an early age."

Gildarts frowned. "He must have been through a lot of battles to pull that off."

Gohan kept destroying everything around him. He was now holding a giant bolder. And heading in the direction of a terrified Yajirobe.

"No, stay away from me," said the chubby samurai, scared.

"Oh no," said Wendy sadly. Mr. Yajirobe is in danger.

"I was afraid this might happen," said Lucy with a sad frown. "Gohan has completely lost his sense of reasoning."

Mira nodded sadly. "Yes, we know that, Lucy. But right now, Gohan is their only hope of ending this fight."

"If only there was a way to get Gohan back to his senses," said Gray in frustration.

The mages suddenly heard the voice of Goku again. He was talking again with his mind.

"GOHAAANNNN!"

The Great ape went to a complete halt when he heard Goku's voice.

"STOP, GOHAAANN!"

The mages smiled when they saw Gohan's eyes widen at his father's voice.

"He recognized Goku's voice," said Mira with a tearful smile.

"What a relief," said Lisanna with a sigh.

"Gohan, not us."

"THE SAIYAN," yelled Krillin. "YOU HAVE TO KILL THE SAIYAN!"

Gohan listened to Krillin's voice. And set his eyes on the evil Prince.

"You bastard," said Vegeta with a glare.

All the mages cheered as the transformed Gohan began to attack Vegeta.

"Alright," said Natsu with a grin. "That's the way, Gohan. kick that guy's ass."

Canna agreed. "Yes. Beat him black and blue for what he did to Goku."

The mages sweatdropped at the two.

Krillin smiled. "Alright. Either we are really lucky. Of there's still a little bit of Gohan in there somewhere. His human half must be putting up one heck of a fight."

Elfman smiled softly. "Way to go, kid. You are a real man."

"Way to go, Gohan," said Mira with a happy smile. "I knew he could do it."

Vegeta was doing everything in his power not to get smushed to a pulp.

"The moon I created won't go out for at least another hour. If I want to end this before he crushes me, I have to get to his tail."

The mages saw how the evil Saiyan tried to do anything he could to get to Gohan's tail. But each attempt was foiled by Gohan. But while Vegeta was in the air. Gohan followed him by jumping towards him.

Vegeta smirked. "One more attack. Take this."

Vegeta copied Krillin's Kienzan. And he was finally able to cut off Gohan's tail. But the Prince made a fatal error in his plan. And mages saw it too.

"Oh boy," said Gajeel with a sweatdrop. "That's going to hurt."

"No," said Vegeta scared. "He's going to fall right on top of me."

Canna smirked when she saw Gohan's body fall on top of Vegeta. The earth shook heavily when Gohan's body crashed into the ground.

"Well," said Lucy with a sweatdrop. "That's going to leave a mark."

The Celestial mage smiled nervously when she saw Canna smirk like crazy. "Uh, Canna. Are you okay?"

Canna chuckled evilly. "Yes, I'm fine, Lucy. In fact, I'm happy beyond compare."

"I know how you feel," said Erza with a smirk. "It felt good seeing Vegeta getting crushed by Gohan."

The mages chuckled nervously at the two woman's antics.

Vegeta was still alive. But he was unable to fight any longer. The mages saw how the Prince summoned his pod toward his location. And when it arrived. He started crawling toward it.

"He's running away," said Canna with a grin. "Good riddance."

The mages nodded

"I can't believe it. I never dreamed a battle against humans could come to this.," said Vegeta weakly

Gajeel smirked. "Well, now you know, pall. You should never underestimate humans. No matter how weak they may be."

Laxus nodded in agreement.

"Me, Vegeta. The greatest warrior in the Universe is actually being forced to retreat."

Charla snorted. "Again with that strongest warrior in Universe crap. This guy really thinks highly of himself."

"Yep," said Gray with a scoff. "He's a real nutcase."

Krillin stood up weakly. "Wait, that pod must be his spaceship. He's trying to get away."

"Leave him, Krillin," said Lucy with a sigh. "He's not worth it."

But the mage's eyes widened when they saw the monk pick up Yajirobe's sword.

"No, Krillin," said Mira worriedly. "Don't do it."

Canna frowned. She hated Vegeta. Of that, she had no doubts. He was scum. But killing him won't solve anything. Especially now when he is no threat.

"No, he has to pay for all the horrible things he's done. Time to finish him off."

"Please, Krillin. Revenge is never a good thing," said Erza with a sad frown. "It may seem like justice. But it will only prove you are no better than him."

When Vegeta finally reached his ship. He was immediately corned by Krillin.

"Stop right there," said the monk angrily. "You monster. You killed my friends."

"NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!"

"Krillin," everyone thought sadly.

"Can't move. I don't have any power left," said Vegeta in fright.

But right before Krillin could kill the evil Saiyan. He was stopped by a familiar voice.

"Krillin, don't do it."

"Goku," said Krillin confused. "Wow, why am I hearing voices? And why don't they want me to kill the Saiyan?"

The mages sighed in relief.

"Good job, Goku," said Marakov with a smile. "There has been enough bloodshed today."

Gildarts nodded in agreement.

"Goku? That was you, right?"

"Yeah, it was me. Sorry, but I still can't talk very loud. Please, Krillin. It's over, so stop. Please, just let the Saiyan go."

The mages smiled at that.

"You got to be kidding me," said Krillin angrily. "Four of our friends are dead because of him. And you want to let him get in his spaceship and fly away like nothing ever happened? If we don't finish him now, he's gonna lay low until he gets his strength back and then come here and wipe out the rest of humanity."

The mages sighed. Yes, Krillin made a good point. There's no telling what Vegeta might do when he regained his strength.

"You're right," thought Goku sadly. "He probably will."

Krillin nodded. "He will. Piccolo may have had a change of heart. But this guy is pure evil. People like him won't change. If we let him live. He'll just keep on hurting people. I don't want him to have that opportunity."

"Krillin's right," said Gajeel with a frown. "But still, if someone as bad as me can change. Then there's hope for Vegeta, right?"

Levi smiled at her boyfriend. "Yes, I believe so."

"I know. I know how strong he is. And how much damage he can do. As long as he's alive. Nobody on earth is safe. But you got to listen to me. This might sound crazy. In fact, I'm sure it does. Just now, when it looked like you were about to kill him. I couldn't help but think. It be such a waste."

The mages were confused by Goku's words.

What is Goku talking about, said Juvia confused.

Beats me, said Gray with a shrug.

Krillin gained a confused look. "What are you talking about?"

"After I finished training with King Kai in Otherworld. I thought I got as strong as I could possibly get. But then I saw Vegeta fight. And he's so much faster, so much more powerful than me. The things he was capable of. It was overwhelming."

"Yeah, that's true. Vegeta is a bad guy. But he is incredibly strong," said Natsu with a nod.

"Right. And the amount of damage he can do is off the scale," said Lucy with a shiver.

"But I got to admit. Deep down, I was pretty excited. Maybe It's because I'm a Saiyan too. But when I see somebody who's that strong. My heart starts racing. Because I realize I have that much further to go. Makes me want to train myself even harder. To push myself to their level."

"I didn't realize that fighting strong opponents had such an effect on Goku, said Lucy surprised. I thought he just liked to fight."

Erza smiled. "There is a lot we don't know about Goku yet. But one thing we do know is that he has a gentle heart."

All the mages smiled at Erza's words.

"Yes, that he has," said Mira softly.

"Krillin, I know it's wrong. But please, let him go, for me. I need to be able to fight him again someday."

The monk struggled with his emotions. But he eventually let go of the sword.

The mages smiled at Krillin's decision.

"Good, Krillin," said Erza with a smile. "That must have been difficult."

"Okay then. I don't like it, but if you say we should let him live, that's enough for me. After all, if it wasn't for you, we'd all be dead right now."

The mages nodded with a smile.

"Don't forget about Gohan, Krillin," said Mira with a proud look. "He's the real MVP of this battle."

"Yes, that's true," said Lucy with a grin. "Without Gohan, there was no way they could have survived that fight."

"But you got to promise me something," said Krillin with a grin. "Next time you fight this guy. I want you to make him regret that he was ever born."

Goku chuckled. "Yeah, you got it."

The mages smiled at the scene.

Natsu put his fists together. "Oh, man. Krillin's words made me all fired up. Gildarts, let's have a match after this reaction."

Gildarts sighed. "Well, why not. It would be a good way to kill some time."

Canna gained dollar signs in her eyes. "Great, another opportunity to earn some quick cash," thought the card mage with a smirk.

Vegeta smirked as the door of the pod began to close. "Well, it's about time for me to make my exit. But this isn't over, not by a long shot. And there won't be a miracle to save you next time."

The mages glared at Prince's final words. They all saw how Vegeta's pod lifted up into the air and blasted toward the sky. The mages could hear The storyteller's voice in the background.

"With Vegeta's defeat at the hands of Goku and his friends. There comes a moment for celebration. However, how will our heroes save their fallen comrades? With Kami and Piccolo gone. There are no Dragon Balls to wish them back to life. Find out, next time."

The mages frowned sadly.

"Let's just hope there is a way to bring them back somehow," said Juvia sadly.

Gray nodded. "Yeah, that's the only thing we can do, unfortunately."

Malia smiled. "I think this is a good place to end the reaction for now. Next time you are ready to react again. Come and see me, okay?"

They all nodded.

"And after we had a bite to eat. Let's have our match before we start reacting again, old man," said Natsu with a grin.

Gildarts gained a tickmark. "Who are you calling an old man, you brat."

Everybody chuckled.

They all stood up from their seats. And went to the dining hall to get some food.
