Theo looked back to find a short dude, wearing a beanie and a green hoodie. He was beaming at Theo, who stood there confused, and said-

"Do I know you?"

"Bruh Theo, you're messing with me right? It's me! Alex! Your best friend since last year?"

"'Course I'm messing with you."

"Good. I thought you lost your memory or something bro!"

In reality Theo actually had no idea who this 'Alex' character was, but just like everything else that had happened this morning, he just decided to play along with it. He was so lost in thought that he didn't realize that Alex was still talking.

"Earth to Theo are you listening to me? Bro did you just zone out on me?"

"Sorry, I was just thinking about something."

"Well, that 'something' better be about how to pass the Latin exam today!"

Wait what? Latin? Those words tickled a memory deep inside his brain, but he just couldn't grasp a hold of it. They sounded so familiar yet so absurd.

Well, Theo and Alex walked into their classroom only to find a teacher at the desk in a wheelchair. He looked at them both with narrowed eyes and asked,

"May I ask why you two are late Mr. Caesar and Mr. Martinez?"

"Uh, Mr. Brunner, we were just in the washroom"

Wait what? Mr. Brunner? Now he realized what memory was trying to come out of his brain earlier. Latin. Mr. Brunner. If what Theo was thinking was true, then he was in for a load of trouble.

Because this just so seemed to be exactly how the plot of Percy Jackson goes! In the first book, Percy meets Grover, a satyr and Mr. Brunner, a Centaur, who also uses a wheelchair just like the teacher who is sitting at the desk! And who also just so happens to be the famous Chiron, who has trained various Greek heroes over the centuries. Grover escorts him to Camp-Half-Blood after he gets attacked by one of the furies who just so happens to be his math teacher.

Theo decides that it could just be a bizarre coincidence and decides to once again, play along with it, and look for more cues to confirm his theory.

Little did he know that this would be his biggest mistake.

He sat down on a desk beside Alex and Mr. Brunner handed them their test papers. Theo thought that he would just see a bunch of gibberish and not be able to understand anything. But as he looked down at the test paper, he was surprised to notice that he could actually make out some basic words, he even understood the first question.

Name the 3 most powerful Greek Gods.

Theo remembered reading something about that in his past life/body or whatever. He had in fact read a lot of Percy Jackson and Greek Mythology during the times when he just ignored his debts and just layed down on his couch.

He quickly wrote the answer- Zeus, Poseidon and Hades. He was still trying to decipher the next few questions when Mr. Brunner said "Times up!" and snatched all of their papers from their desks. This was the last cue Theo needed to know that he was in the world of Percy Jackson. And not only that, he was a demigod.

He heard the bell ring and rushed out of the classroom, not even caring for the fact that Alex was shouting at him to wait for him. His mind was racing, and he was walking in the hallway. Going nowhere in particular but just trying to process all the information he had just received, when someone collided with him. He turned back to see the biggest, meanest and burliest kid he had ever seen in his 26-years of life or 13-years of life whatever.

"Hey! Watch it you little piece of sh*t! You don't want me to give you a wedgie like yesterday, do you huh? You little orphaned bi**h!"

Theo didn't care that he was now in the body of a 13-year-old and the fact that he wasn't even Theo, he just charged at the bully with his fists clenched,

….only to be caught in a headlock in the first 5 seconds.

"You thought you would be brave and fight me head on? Well guess what, you just got absolutely OWNED nerd!"

Everybody in the crowded hallway cheered on the bully. Theo was sure that he was about to be completely T.K.O.'ed, when suddenly a teacher came and shouted,

"Martinez! Leave Theo NOW! Or else, you're going down to the office and getting suspended."

The bully let go of Theo and looked at him with a look of pure loathing.

"Until next time, nerd. You want to be all brave and courageous? Then come to the cafeteria in 15 minutes and I'll show you how to be a man."

Looking back on it, Theo should have just ignored that threat, heck he shouldn't have even gone to the cafeteria that day, and he would be having a normal life, at least as normal as it gets when you are a half-blood, but he didn't. He had dignity, and he didn't care that he was no match for the 200-pound of pure muscle that had just passed by him.

"To your classes the rest of you! At the double! Quick! Go!"

The teacher shouted at the remaining students, but Theo was able to pass unnoticed by the teacher and into the cafeteria where he decided to wait for this 'Martinez' fellow.

He was a demigod. The realization filled him with terror and awe at the same time. He was terrified due to the fact that since he was a half-blood, monsters were sure to attack him. But he was pretty excited due to the fact that since he was a demigod, he was sure to be related to some sort of Greek God. The revelation made him feel pretty happy. But, he realized, his divine parent was sure to be some sort of lame god like Aphrodite or Hypnos.

Oh boy was he in for a treat.

In a few minutes, the bully showed up.

"Hey wussy, ready to get your ass kicked?"

Theo gave him a few choice words and a few suggestions as to shove what up his ass and the bully, now severely angry, charged at him.

But something was wrong.

With each step his size and stature grew until he was at least 8-feet-tall and had hands as big as a huge stone pillar. Theo was trying not to die of fear. He realized that instant that this bully wasn't human, he was a monster

Yeah, No shit, Sherlock.

He dared to look up at his face to find something truly terrifying. His face seemed pretty normal going from bottom to top. He had a quadruple chin, ok, he had a pretty disgusting mouth with very cracked and bloody lips, expected, but in the center of his face, where his eyes should be, was only one, monstrous, eye.

Theo realized. Cyclops.

The cyclops roared and fired a wild haymaker at Theo, which he miraculously and narrowly dodged. He picked a nearby bench and yeeted it at Theo, who once again miraculously leaped away before the bench could hit him.

With a cold and grim feeling of impending doom, Theo realized that he couldn't keep this up forever. Eventually, the cyclops will score a hit on him, realize and predict which way he would dodge or Theo would just get tired out and get killed anyway. At that moment, Theo realized that he was going to die. He could just feel it. There would be no training at Camp-Half-Blood for him, he would be dying right here. Then, he felt a tugging on his neck. He thought it was something that the cyclops had done to him, but he looked down to see that it was a rope necklace. With a shining metal lighter as its pendant. He was fairly sure that this was not strung on his neck when he woke up or came to this school.

He didn't know why but it was like his hand moved on its own. It grabbed the lighter, ripped it off its necklace, opened the cap, and hit the spark wheel.

Immediately, the lighter transformed, until Theo was holding a 2-feet-long, glowing bronze scimitar. It had blue tendrils of electricity arcing on its blade. Suddenly he felt a lot more confident.

He looked at the cyclops, now grinning and said,

"Oh! you're going down."
