After a few months alone with the magic house left to him by the family that left him, Henry Legolant is in his bed near death. Originally this would have been when he was found by Yami Sukehiro recruited into the original Black Bull squad.
However, that was not going to happen this time around as Yami was not a captain though that did not mean that Henry was going to die. Henry was still recruited to the new Black Bulls as he was found by its new captain. However, there was also something else that happened in that the captain was not alone as there was someone else with them.
Of course, both seem too wary of the other when the person they would both later call their captain pushes them into each other. Only for the both of them to be shocked that their magic did not affect the other.
"Seems like the two of you counter the other," the captain said.
"Huh...How" Henry asked.
"The two of you both have abilities that drain magic from others. So if you two are together you would drain magic from the other" they told them.
"I also drain life from people as well so would not that make him still in danger though" the person with a similar ability as Henry asked.
"This magic house will stop that from happening as being in here your life draining ability will be lowered. It would still happen but it will actually be helpful" the Black Bulls Captain said.
Then they went about to explain the possibilities that someone exposed to their life draining abilities for prolonged periods. It would exactly strengthen the affected person's body as they are forced to adapt to withstand the constant draining of their life force. The strengthening of it allows them to become just naturally stronger and able to do things normal people would not be able to.
Eventually, the two were made to accept this idea not so much because they believed in it but mostly because they had a chance to not be alone anymore. Both could have someone who could stay by their side and not have to worry about them being harmed as a result of something they could not control.
"I...am... Henry...Legolant" he said introducing himself to the person with a similar ability to him.
"I told you that I would introduce you to someone that would not be in danger because of your ability," the Black Bulls captain said.
"We do not know if merely because the two of us have similar abilities that we actually countering the other," they said
"True as instead of your two abilities countering each other. They may instead be doing something else which could eventually lead to you becoming dependent on the other. Your abilities might be not rather than countering each other are merely in a stalemate. Yours draining Henry's magic and Henry's draining yours to the point where if you two are not in this house and/or together. You two would be on a timer as your magic absorbing abilites become more erratic, strong, and dangerous the longer the two are apart." the Black Bulls captain said
Having brought this up causes them both to worry and even think maybe it would be better if they were kept apart after all.
"You two would be a part of my squad and this house would be our base. Thus not only me but the rest of those who will become your comrades would work to ensure that a worse case scenario does not happen. Even if it does it will not end with the worst possible ending" The Black Bulls captain said.
Wanting to believe in them even more after this the person with a similar ability to Henry. A slim woman with medium-length, light-colored hair and a single strand protruding upwards from the center of her head went about introducing herself.
"I am Licita" she said
With this, the meeting of Licita and Henry happened and the Black Bulls base was acquired once again.
