Jack heads of down the hallways of Mount Justice having a Quick Look around and the different rooms there's a bunch of them the place is absolutely massive. Jack then finds the room he was looking for hoping there would be one here the gym.
Jack takes of his mask and gloves he then tapes his fists and starts punching the boxing bag. Every punch getting harder and harder. Because he's seeing visions of the bad stuff he did in the past and visions of his father. Jack punches the boxing bag a final time and it fly's across the room sand going spurting out everywhere.
Jack then hears a voice " say what are you angry about ".
Jack turns around and sees that it's Kaldur.
Jack smiles and says " I'm angry about quite a few things to be honest with you just crap from the past that I can't change Nothing of importance ".
Kaldur smiles and says " you never introduced yourself properly I thought that was one of earths customs " .
Jack awkwardly smiles back and says " yes it is but I'm not great at all that stuff. Plus I didn't think it was the right time anyway " .
" With that confrontation I had with Wally he wasn't exactly happy to see me ".
Kaldur says " no he wasn't and I was shocked to see you myself but he didn't mean it all it was is shock it was unexpected ".
" Anyway after you left Dick informed all of us about your backstory and how you saved his life"
" He also informed us about you been given a second chance. After a team talk all of us agreed even Wally that you deserve that second chance ".
Jack smiles and says " well I really appreciate that thank you Kaldur " .
Kaldur then says " is it true what Dick said if you don't mind me asking ".
Jack in a slightly defensive tone says " is what true ".
Kaldur says that " your father injected you with a super soldier serum when you were just a boy ".
Jack looks down for a moment reliving the moment of when his father injected him and then shortly after starting his training and giving him the name Killswitch.
Jack Finally says "yes it is true I was five years old my mother had just " .
Jack stops and says " yes it's true Kaldur ".
Kaldur immediately says " I'm sorry I didn't mean to cause any offence or upset you by bringing back any painful memories ".
Jack smiles and says" it's fine Kaldur stop apologising ".
Kaldur then says " all of us are gathering in the lounge to get to know each other better Red Tornados orders you should join us only if you want to but you are part of this team after all ".
Jack smiles and says " yeah sure why not "
both of them then head through to the lounge where Jack sees Miss Martian, Superboy, Wally and Dick.
Miss Martian walks up to him and smiles " it is an honour to meet you properly Jack Wilson " .
Jack smiles back " it's also an honour to meet you to this is the first time I have met someone from Mars ".
Miss Martian chuckles " you have a sense of humour like other humans ".
Jack is slightly confused right now but he has to remember she's just come here after all.
" Yes I do have a sense of humour sometimes but not all the time "
" Most humans do unless there boring or uptight "
Miss Martian confused by this says " oh okay so Batman's boring and uptight then "
Dick, Wally and Kaldur burst out laughing Wallys almost on his hands and knees he's laughing that Much.
Jack chuckles himself " well Megan you have a sense of humour to and it's a very good one you should fit right in here on earth "
" just don't ever say that to Batman he probably won't see the funny side in it "
Megan says " thank you Jack your kind words are very much appreciated "
" May I see what you look like underneath your mask so I can read your mind "
Jack slightly alarmed by this replies with " I can take of my mask but you cant read my mind we don't do this here on earth and trust me you don't want to read my mind there isn't anything good in there "
Jack takes of his mask and Megan's cheeks go slightly Rosie.
Megan quickly in a sad tone says " I'm sorry for the offence it's just things are different here than they are on my earth reading minds is part of our culture and celebrated "
Jack puts his hand on Megan's shoulder and her cheeks go really Rosie "
" it's okay Megan you're just going to need to adjust to being here on earth as I said "
Megan practically jumps on Jack and gives him a hug
" Thank you for your kind words I have a feeling we're gonna be friends "
Jack is taken aback by being hugged it's something he's not use to and he hasn't been given a hug in a long time
" yeah I think we will be"
Megan then sits down and Wally walks up to Jack he looks quite nervous and not sure exactly what to say but then after an awkward silence he does.
" Look Jack I'm sorry about my reaction to you joining the team I was a right Ass and I judged you based on your past "
" I also didn't know the full story about what happened and everything "
" I'm not saying we're gonna be best friends and it might take me some time to trust that's even if I can I guess what I'm trying to say is can we start over "
Jack remembering what Wally said earlier reluctantly nods his head in agreement for the sake of the team and for trying to build bridges and maybe even friendships.
Even though Jacks not fully sure what one is or what it's like since he's never had friends.
Wally puts out his hand for a handshake and Jack shakes his hand giving him a firm handshake
Wally notices and jokingly " says you have some grip on you "
Jack smirks back at Wally " I know I do "
superboy walks up to Jack and says " it's good to meet you I'm super boy the clone of superman "
" I have heard good things about you "
Jack jokingly says " I don't know about that but it's nice to meet you "
he jokingly smacks Superboy on the shoulder. Superboy does the same and it sends Jack flying halfway across the room and he crashes against one of the walls and then lands on the floor.
Dick Wally and Kaldur are laughing hysterically.
Whilst superboy and Megan rush over to Jack to make sure he's okay.
Superboy offers Jack a hand up Jack accepts this but it sends him flying into the air this time Jack manages to compose himself do a back flip and land on the floor.
Jack then says " alright superboy that's something you might need to work on "
" Being run over by a truck hurts less "
Jack begins to genuinely laugh for the first time in years and In the end everyone's laughing apart from superboy
who is standing there confused saying " I don't understand the humour in this "
