Pleasant and comfortable, that was the only way that Emilia could truly describe this moment to anyone else if they were present. Of course though, no one else was present in the field of endless flowers, other than herself and the boy that she had realised that she loved with all of her heart, both of them sharing the quiet moment with each other, and simply basking in each other's presence.

"Subaru. . . I love you" Emilia said quietly as she snuggled herself even deeper into Subaru's shoulder, however the black haired boy did not respond. Oddly enough just keeping his head slightly lowered, and just allowing the half elf to use him as a living snuggle pillow, Emilia however suddenly remembered everything she had seen in that cursed theatre, all of the pain and suffering he put himself through just for her. In fact all of the memories coming back to the surface of her mind, was enough to cause tears to start flowing from her eyes.

"Subaru, I'm… S-so sorry about E-everything, all of that P-P-pain you had to suffer, because I was blind and ignorant" Emilia tried to keep her voice even and level, yet despite her best efforts, her voice quickly devolved into nothing more than sobs and cries. As she held onto the dark haired boy that sat next to her, his face almost completely hidden in shadow despite the fact that the endless field of flowers was drenched in nothing but pure radiant sunlight.

"I U-U-understand now, why you D-did all those things for me" Emilia managed to get out between her sobs and cries, as her crying only seemed to intensify, each sob making her body shake violently. Yet despite all of this the black haired boy that she loved so much, simply sat there unmoving and not uttering a single sound, but Emilia didn't seem to care or notice, as she continue to cry her heart out, all of the pent up pain and anguish from watching the viewings flowing out in one continuous burst of emotion.

"You D-D-did everything for me, Y-you S-S-saved me and O-others more times than I can count, your H-H-heart was even so big, that you S-saved P-P-people that have wronged Y-you before" Emilia simply continue to let it flow out of her, both her words and her emotions. As she tightened her grip on the arm of the boy she loved, yet it was only now that's something deep down inside her brain, that suddenly registered something not being right about the situation, yet that thought was quickly push from her mind as another wave of horrifying memories from the viewings crashed into her psyche, intern causing a fresh wave of tears to begin falling down her face.

"S-subaru. . . C-C-can you ever forgive me. . . . I caused all of that P-pain, all of that suffering because I was too ignorant and stupid to know anything" Emilia managed to bring her head up, finally managing to raise her head, and look at the boy from another world that she loved. And at that moment many that knew her, would have found it very hard to recognise her, with an almost unnatural amount of tears freely streaming from her eyes, her usual elegant face contorted horribly in emotional pain in agony. With her normally straight and pristine hair completely disheveled, sticking out in random directions and resembling more of a bird's nest rather than a flowing waterfall of silver, yet despite all of this Emilia didn't care how she look right now, and not even the fact that she was almost physically identical to the Witch of envy matter to her now, all that mattered was hearing the words from the person she loved, to hear those simple words that were I forgive you.

Yet the words did not come, much to Emilia's surprise and confusion, and as the tears in her eyes lessened for just the moment, Emilia's brain finally began to register that the Subaru in front of her didn't look quite right. More precisely, his face was almost completely shrouded in shadow, completely blocking everything except the lower portion of his chin and mouth from view.

"Subaru. . .?" The tears continued to flow, yet the intensity began to slow as Emilia continued to look up at the darkened face of Subaru, not quite understanding why she couldn't see his face, however abruptly Subaru suddenly stood up. The sudden movement of which knocked Emilia onto her back, causing her to let out a quiet yelp of pain and surprise, however as Emilia trying to prop herself up right, a shadow suddenly loomed over her, a shadow that seemed to send a horrifying chill down her spine, as if she was in the presence of something truly alien and monstrous.

Looking up Emilia saw the familiar frame of Subaru standing directly over her, with his legs straddling her and his towering frame blocking out the sunlight, yet despite this particular scenario being something that was present in her not so ladylike dreams. Something about this entire scenario seemed to send another chill down her spine, and despite not being able to see his eyes let alone his face, Emilia could feel Subaru's gaze boring into her, as if he was trying to rip something out of her with nothing but his eyesight.

"S-S-subaru you're scaring me" Emilia said uncomfortably with a small quiver in her voice, as she tried to raise herself up from her lying position on her back. However as she got about halfway doing this, Subaru suddenly did something unexpected, something that dazed her, as the back of the head hit the ground hard, and after her eyes and brain managed to stop spinning in her skull.

Emilia looked up at Subaru, only to find that Subaru had put his shoe directly under her chest, using a decent amount of pressure to keep her pinned to the ground, and once that realisation occur to her, Emilia felt panic beginning to rise up in her chest, as she tried to knock Subaru leg off her chest, however to her horror Subarus leg did not seem to move whatsoever, in fact her squirming only seems to cause her more pain. Making her whimper in pain, as each movement she made, caused Subaru's shoe big deeper into her skin, which was actually beginning to affect her breathing, and in turn causing the panic in her chest to rise even further, to the point where the poor half elf was almost hyperventilating, as the boy she loved continue to loom over her menacingly.

"S-Su-b-baru. . .!" Emilia managed to choke out, as she desperately squirmed beneath Subarus foot, desperately trying to free herself. Yet with every movement she made the pressure that Subaru was putting on her chest, only seemed to increase, further diminishing her breathing as well as causing the panic to begin to rise even further, and has her panic grew to the point where could no longer be contained, the rational part of her brain begin to shut down. Being replaced by the singer's animalistic desire to survive. And so summoning up the last of her strength, with the periphery of her vision now beginning to grow dark, Emilia managed to summon some of her fire magic, creating a pure bolt of ice, which with the very last of her strength, she weekly throw it at Subaru's head, and upon impact it caused the black haired boy to be sent flying across the field of flowers, landing somewhere out of sight with an audible thump.

Emilia simply laid there for a moment, her body taking massive and deep breaths, as the dark spots in her vision began to vanish, her mind which had been clouded by the fog of animalistic survival, beginning to slowly reactivate itself, however as this happened something suddenly occurred to Emilia. Something that made her blood run cold and her body go rigid, and after a second of horrified realisation, she quickly pushed herself up right, the act of which caused her head to spin slightly. But she didn't care, as she got her feet in turn causing her to feel even more dizzy, yet she pushed through it, quickly running over to where the black haired boy lay in the field of flowers, panic and horrible at what she had done filling her mind

"Subaru!" Emilia screamed almost hysterically, as she quickly dropped to her knees, next to the prone and unmoving form of Subaru. And despite not wanting to see what she had done, she quickly scooped up the unmoving boy into her arms, letting out horrifying cries of pain and agony, as she cradled the seemingly dead or hopefully unconscious boy in her arms, as fresh waves of tears were falling down her face.

"I'm sorry! P-P-please B-Be alright, I didn't M-Mean to do it, P-Please don't leave me!" Emilia cried so hard that her entire body shook, tears beginning to stain with front of her dress ,as well as landing on the unmoving form of Subaru that was cradled in her arms, yet as as she continue to cry her heart out, at that thought she may have killed the only person that truly loved her in the world.

But suddenly she felt movement in her arms, and looking down she noticed the Subaru had begun to move in her arms again, and abruptly and suddenly he stood up from his position in her lap, the sudden movement of which cause had been knocked to the ground again. However, instead of being pinned to the ground by him like last time, Subaru simply stood there, his face still covered by shadow, as Emilia looked up at his standing form, with a myriad of different emotions flowing through her at that very moment, everything from confusion, fear, relief, concern, anger and sadness. But before she could voice any of these emotions, Subaru suddenly turned to look straight at her, the impenetrable darkness that covered his face up until now, slowly lifting revealing something that caused Emilia to scream in horror, Subaru's face was not his own anymore, in fact it could barely even be recognised as a human, it was twisted and deformed into something that could only be produced in the deepest darkest nightmares.

"W-W-what are you! you're not Subaru!? Emilia screamed as the twisted abomination that dared to wear Subarus body as a disguise looked down at her, and as if by pure animalistic instinct Emilia began to slowly self away from the monster. However after managing to make it to make it a foot or two away, it was almost as if her body simply stopped responding her causing her to be rooted to the spot, despite how much she tried and struggle to move again, yet the beast did not try to follow her, it's simply continue to stare into her soul, causing a horrifying headache to start to form in her brain, which made her clutch her head in agony.

Yet as the monster continue to look at her, the horrifying pain in her head seemed to change, from simple white noise and agonising pain, to something that almost resembled instructions, however despite recognising that there was some kind of instruction, they was still alien to her and therefore could not be understood. and once this realisation crossed her mind the monster's gaze seemed to lessen in intensity, as it suddenly and abruptly snapped its head up to look over to the horizon behind her, and as the pain in her head subsided Emilia turned her head to look in the same direction. For a moment there was nothing on the horizon but the endless rolling fields of flowers, and the clear blue sky behind them, but Emilia could sense something coming, something that was dark and malevolent, a thing that was truly alien to this world.

And that's when she heard it or more precisely them, almost immediately she felt the pain in her head increase to the point where she screamed in agony. She could hear millions, no possibly billions of voices all talking and perfect sync with each other, however the language that they all spoke in was completely alien to her, meaning the all she could do in response was continued to scream in pain , yet as she clutched her head in absolute agony she looked up to the Horizon once again her vision blurry from both the tears and pain. And that's when she saw it, something impossibly large and the alien rising up from the horizon, and whatever it was Emilia couldn't say, not the she really cared at the moment considering the amount of agony she was in, and eventually became too much for her as her vision began to darken, her eyes lingering on the horizon for just a moment. And as whatever the silhouette continued to rise up, the black void continued to consume the bright blue sky and as her eyes finally closed and she slipped into unconsciousness, again she had the billions of voices speaking in unison, however this time what they said was perfectly understandable to her.

After what seemed like an eternity of nothing but unfeeling Darkness, Emilia could field strength and feeling returning to her body, muffled and unfamiliar sounds could be heard surrounding her, and as consciousness continued to slowly flow back into her body. The noises became more familiar to her, they were the voices of her friends and acquaintances, and as the feeling in her body was fully regained, she saw a bright blinding light piercing the darkness, however she did not go towards it like a moth to a flame, instead she felt something else in the darkness with her, she couldn't quite place what it was, the darkness around her was all consuming even with the bright blinding light, yet after a moment she realised it was another consciousness, one that was painfully familiar to her.

"Subaru. . .``She had no mouth to speak, yet the sound of that name rang endlessly in the darkness, and for just the briefest of moments, the other consciousness that shared the dark endless void with her answered back with its own voiceless response.

"Emilia. . ." Despite there being no verbal sound, the response was weak yet there, and was full of agonising emotion, enough to make the half elf almost cry if she had a physical body in this place, yet as she thought of a way to respond the countries that seemingly vanished, leaving her completely alone in the dark void again. However the blinding white light seemed to begin to consume her entire being, completely melting away the end of darkness, and whatever remains of the consciousness that was left, and thus Emilia woke up, much of what she had experienced in the dream world, quickly vanishing from her groggy mind.

"It seems you're finally awake I suppose" Beatrice with an almost board tone to her voice, has Emilia slowly brought her self up from her lying position, her eyes half open and her hand absolute mess, looking around somewhat dumbfounded at everything around her, however she turned her head and caught sight of the giant blank screen that was in front of her, her eyes suddenly seems to open as wide as physically possible which was accompanied by her jumping up from the seats she had been laying on only seconds ago.

"Oh dragon! is Subaru alright!?'' The words flew out of Emilia's mouth, as her mind suddenly remembered events that happened leading up to a falling unconscious, however the half suddenly began to sway, clutching the side of her head in pain, most likely feeling light-headed after getting up from her lying position so quickly.

"Lady Emilia please you must take it easy for a moment" Frederica was quick on the draw once again, managing to catch Emilia in her arms, as the half elf's legs gave out from under her suddenly.

"B-But Subaru" Emilia managed to say, trying to wiggle her way out of Frederica's grip, yet the Beast woman did not let her go, simply holding Emilia in her arms, how's the half-elf weekly tried to wiggle herself free from her captor, but ultimately to no avail.

"Emilia you need to calm down, you've only just woken up, and you're already putting too much stress on yourself" Crush's voice immediately caused Emilia to stop squirming in Frederica Arms, as the half elf looked over to the green haired woman who was making her way over to the rest of the Emilia camp, Felix quickly trailing behind her like some kind of lost sheep.

"But-" Emilia didn't get to finish the sentence, as the green haired woman in front of her held up a hand to silence her, causing Emilia to look at her in confusion and a bit of dread.

"Subaru is fine, and the on screen version of Subaru managed to make it as well, so there's nothing to worry about" as Crush spoke, she gestured over to the sleeping form of Subaru, whose head was still currently resting on Beatrice's lap, much to Emilia's surprise and relief, and as for the on-screen Subaru, she was also relieved to hear that he'd made it through that horrible nightmare they have been watching.

"Thank the Dragon, he's alright" Emilia couldn't help but let out of breath she didn't realise she had been holding, the knowledge that both Subaru's were fine being great news to her pointy ears, and in fact seems to make just a small amount of strength come back to her legs, which Frederica immediately noticed, and as a result released her hold on the half elf, allowing her to stand once again, yet the Beast woman stayed nearby just in case, Emilia suddenly lost her strength again.

"Thank you" Emilia said to Crush, which two has surprised was quickly accompanied by a hug from the half elf, however after a moment of surprise, Crush her arms up around Emilia shoulders embracing the half elf in a loose reassuring hug, which to the green haired woman's surprise, caused Emilia to tighten her grip for just a moment, before ultimately releasing the green haired woman from her embrace, the two of them staring at each other for a moment, with Emilia sending a thankful smile, and Crush reciprocating with her own slightly less prominent but still present smile.

Alright, I think that's enough hugs and kisses for one day. . .

It's time for the next chapter to begin!

The voice of the warden caused everyone to jump slightly, making them all look at the screen in surprise, simply because the viewing and only ending a couple of moments, to the next one so quickly, the previous warden had given them time at least between each viewing to actually digest what they can actually seem, but it seemed that this warden was either impatient, or simply just wanted to move things along as quickly as possible.

"Why are we moving on already? you really are an idiot, if you think we can digest all of the information in such a short amount of time between each viewing" Ram scoffed, find me a quite idiotic and even a bit strange, why the warden was moving on so quickly, despite the fact of the previous viewing had only ended minutes ago, and even with this warden supposed to be being a different one compared to the one that had earlier, it just didn't make any sense to her why he was so eager to move on, instead of actually letting them absorb and process the information they had seen.

I muuuuusssst agree with my mmmmaaaid, ssssuuuuuurely more time would be best, for us to actually ppppprrrrrocess the information we had seeeeeennn? Roswaal rubbed his chin thoughtfully, much like his pink haired maid, not quite understanding why the warden was so eager to move on all of a sudden, when the previous warden actually left sometime between each viewing for them to actually peace to get the information they have been given.

"I don't want to agree with him, but the clown is right I suppose" Beatrice said with a small annoyed huff, after all despite her curiosity about what was going to happen next, she actually quite enjoyed the Peaceful moment she was currently having with the sleeping Subaru, his head calmly resting on her lap, hopefully having a pleasant dream that didn't contain any suffering.

"Mr warden, do you think it's a bit hasty for us to start so suddenly, especially considering that Miss Emilia has only just woken?" Frederica looked at the screen in concern, much like everyone else finding it particularly odd that the warden was so hasty to move on do the next viewing, when most of them was still trying to actually absorb the information that have been shown to them previously, and then there was Emilia, who despite looking much better for wear, was still not at her full strength both physically and mentally.

"Frederica is right, some more time to process everything would be appreciated" Rem could safely say that she agreed with Frederica 100%, after all seen her beloved be put through so much pain and agony, was extremely difficult for her to watch, in fact she wasn't quite sure if she could actually stomach, seeing him go through anymore pain like that.

I understand all of your concerns but unfortunately, I'm on a bit of a tight schedule here

but I'm feeling generous, so I'll give you 5-minutes to get yourselves ready

"Well I suppose 5 minutes is better than nothing, Felix let's return to our seats immediately" Crush gave one last reassuring look to Emilia, before making her way back to her seat, Felix quickly following behind her, as the both of them arrived and then sat down next to Wilhelm.

"To make you feel better you should come and sit with me, I suppose" Emilia looked at Beatrice as the little spirit patted the ground next to her, Emilia quickly accepting the invitation as she made her way over to the sleeping Subaru and the little spirit, crouching down and quickly making herself comfortable next to Beatrice, however Emilia wasn't paying much attention to Beatrice, in fact her gaze was almost completely focused on the sleeping Subaru, and as she looked at his sleeping face a fragment from her dream seems to resurfacing her mind , something that made her body shudder, she remembered something that looks like Subaru, but his face with twisted and deformed like the monsters they had seen in the viewing, yet she quickly shook that horrifying image from her mind, reaching out and gently stroking Subaru sleeping face, and despite Beatrice's protest of the action, the act of gently stroking Subarus face seemed to calm Emilia.

"Petra, I'm going to be sitting mirror lady Emilia for the moment, please come join me" Frederica said, as she took one of the chairs very close to the address and Emilia, gesturing to the little girl to come join her, to which Petra immediately responded.

"Ok" the young girl quickly made her way over to wear the blonde haired woman was sitting, taking the seats directly next to her, as both of them made themselves comfortable in their new seats.

"I think we should both move as well" Ram said quietly, has both of the maids got up from their seats, and quickly shuffle their way down the row of seats, taking up a mirrored position from Frederica and Petra.

"Get your butt up Otto, we moving" Garfield said abruptly as he got up from his seat, quickly marching his way down the row of seats, eventually choosing the seat that was directly next to Petra as his new spot, and as he sat down, he saw that his sister was looking at him, a small smile on her face as the two siblings when reasonably close together, Garfield reciprocated sending a bright to smile his sisters way.

"I guess I'll take this one then" Otto nervously sat down in the seat next to Garfield, and once he was fully seated, the Emilia camp was finally all together in one group, the only missing member being Roswaal, who decided wisely set away from the group, considering that many in the camp had quite a rightful disdain for the clown face mission.

"Miss Anastasia, if it's alright with you, I think I would like to see at the front near the Emilia champ" Julius abruptly said to the Purple haired woman that sat next to him, causing Anastasia to look at him in both surprise and confusion for a moment, but ultimately she nodded her head in agreement, not seeing any issue, in fact she quickly got up from her own seat, surprising Juliette so she quickly went to the end of the seats, looking behind her and gesturing to him to follow.

"Come on Julius, we will both sit down together" Julius didn't say anything in response simply and abruptly getting up from his seat, and quickly made his way over to the Purple haired woman, both of them making their way down to the front row of seats, much to the surprise of certain Emilia camp members, however both of them didn't pay any mind to the confused looks they got, as they both quickly chose their respective seats and quickly making themselves comfortable.

Alright it's been 5-minutes, all of you better be ready, because I'm not postponing at this time

Nobody said anything in response to the warden, in fact they hope that they're gazes, was enough to tell him that they were all ready to go, and almost immediately the screen came to life again, flashing a brilliant blinding white light, before it quickly faded into a dark black nothingness, as the next viewing of Subaru's twisted nightmarish journey aboard USG ishimura began.

Subaru suddenly woke with a shock, instinctively bringing his plasma cutter up, yet much to his relief he was the only occupant currently residing in the tram, and seen that there was no danger he left the plasma cutter fall, taking a reassuring but gentle breath as to not aggravate is wounds any further. However a beeping noise suddenly caught his attention, which was immediately followed by the automatic PA voice sounding off.

"Now arriving at Medical Deck tram station. Please mind the gap between the train and the platform"

"I guess this is my stop" Subaru said quietly as the tram began to slow down, meaning that it was quickly arriving at its destination, so gently but quickly Subaru raised to his feet, a small amount of pain shooting through his sides. Yet he ignored as he stepped over to the main exit of the tram, feeling by the entire vehicle coming to a quick stop, the doors quickly opening up to reveal a completely bloodied platform, the sounds of distant trams and other ship machinery, hopefully being his only companion.

So taking another reassuring breath, Subaru quickly stepped out of the tram and onto the platform, however that's when he noticed them, body bags upon body bags stacked up everywhere, and the sight of so many dead people was almost enough to make him vomit on the spot. However Subaru pushed the feeling down as he suddenly noticed something at the entrance for the medical Bay, something that Subaru couldn't honestly believe was real and in front of him. Because of sitting on the floor quietly giggling to herself, as she gently stroked a bloodied and maggot infested body bag that was cradled in her arms, was a perfectly human and breathing human woman.

"Shhh. shhh. It's alright Gary... He's here... Nothing to be afraid of anymore..." Before Subaru could say anything in response to the woman's words, a small but definitely insane giggle suddenly escaped her lips, as she continued to lovingly cradle the body bag in her arms, as if it was a small infant that needed comforting. However after a moment she suddenly looked at Subaru, bloody and despite bloody bandages covering her eyes completely, the woman looked directly at Subaru, causing him to flinch as she continued from why she left off.

"I knew you would come... just like you said... I saved this for you..." the woman let the body bag slip into her lap, she quickly retrieved something from the floor behind her, opening her Palms in front of her and holding it out to Subaru, as if she was presenting some kind of gift to a living deity.

"Lady are you alright" Subaru took a shaky step forward, reaching out a hand in concern for the woman, however the woman didn't respond continuing to insanely giggle to herself, as she gestured to the device in her hands, making it obvious that she wanted Subaru to take the device from her hands. Subaru for his part simply looked on concerned and confused, not quite sure what to do in a situation like this, however much did his alarm the woman's arms suddenly dropped, all of the strength that was there previously disappearing, as if she was a puppet that had its strings cut.

"Can I go now? Gary wants to take me... to the shuttle...'' The woman suddenly slumped forward, the device that had been in her hands a moment ago, dropping to the floor with a metallic clunk, and as Subaru certainly made his way to the woman, intending to offer her help. However, with the woman being slumped forward, Subaru could see that her entire back was quite literally carved open, all of her internal organs clearly visible, with blood and intestines spills out behind her, and her spinal column and rib cage completely destroyed beyond recognition. In fact Subaru wasn't that knowledgeable when it came to the human body, but considering that her spine was quite literally destroyed, it was a miracle that she managed to keep herself upright let alone remain alive and moving. But with the woman now seemingly past, all Subaru could do was offer a small prayer in his native Japanese, before he suddenly remembered the strange little thing that the woman had been holding up until her death, so crouching down Subaru inspected the object, surprise and a small amount of relief crossing his face as he realised exactly what it was.

"Guess I've got some good luck after all" Subaru wasted no time as he quickly began trying to attach the small device to his wrist, fiddling around with it for a moment before managing to get it to click into place, and once it was on Subaru held his wrist out to inspect the new device, inspecting it in a similar way to someone was admiring a new piece of jewellery, and once he had finished his little inspection, he quickly held his hand out, a bright ball of blue energy much like the stasis unit he had used earlier, forming in the palm of his hand before disappearing.

"Look at that, Cap's got himself a new doohickey" Garfield, much like everyone else, was a little bit disturbed by the woman's death. So as a vaguely successful attempt, he tried to focus the conversation on the strange device that the woman had seemingly given Subaru before her uncanny death.

"It looks similar to the previous one he picked up" Anastasia mused to herself, her mind trying and failing to think of some possible use, all the strange little device that Subaru had required from the seemingly deceased woman.

"Whatever it is, he clearly thinks it will give him some kind of advantage I suppose" Beatrice Much like everyone else couldn't even begin to think what the possible function of the little device actually was, but if her contractor picked it up, then he most likely thought it would be very useful to him in his twisted journey on that strange ship.

"Subaru please be careful" Emilia said quietly, the same horrifying image of Subaru wearing one of those Monsters twisted and deformed faces, quickly entering her mind, causing her to shudder slightly. Yet she quickly push to be horrifying image out of her mind, instead refocusing her gaze on the sleeping Subaru that lay next to her, reminding herself that this version of Subaru was very much alive , and not turned into a twisted abomination, that wouldn't even have the audacity to be called a human.

"Nyah~ok how is that even possible!?" Felix suddenly shouted, causing everyone, especially the two sitting close to him to look at him in surprise at his sudden outburst.

"What's the matter Felix" Wilhelm asked, slightly concerned by the sudden outburst from the catboy healer, however Felix didn't seem to respond at first, surprisingly enough he was muttering quietly to himself, with the look in his eyes only being described deep but frantic contemplation about something related to the viewing, however after a moment the catboy suddenly looked at, as if he was just struck by some revelation.

"That woman, I don't understand how she was even alive~Nyah!" The exact words that he spoke caused everyone to think for a moment, those in the audience knew just a little bit about human anatomy, came to a absolutely horrifying about just what exactly Felix was referring to, but looking around Felix could see that quite a few that didn't still understand what he was getting at.

"What I mean is... Her entire spinal column is completely gone, along with most of my rib cage, and since a lot of nerves that control your body running through your spinal column, she quite literally shouldn't have been able to move that kind of injury let alone actually be alive~Nyah" Felix try to explain it in the most layman term possible, so that everyone could actually understand what he was getting out, and it seemed that his explanation was satisfactory. Because everyone who had before looked at him with confusion now looked at him with horrifying realisation spreading across their faces, at the fact that the woman quite literally couldn't have lived through the injury that she had sustain, let alone actually keep moving and talking.

"I don't think it was her own strength that kept her going" Crush's words were ominous, in fact it didn't take any more explanation from the woman, for everyone to feel a chill run down their spine, after all the warden did say something specifically about some kind of thing, that was working it's dark and twisted magic behind the scenes as if some kind of puppet master.

"Yeah, I've seen some pretty bad stuff on the streets before, but I don't think even the strongest knight, could actually keep moving after that kind of injury" True to what she had said, Felt had indeed seen some truly horrifying things during her time as a street rat and part-time pickpocket. In fact up until the most recent viewing, she had thought that some of the disturbing stuff she had seen on the streets, would never be topped in a million years, of course though even with the revelation that was entirely wrong, it still was quite unsettling that the woman on screen, had somehow managed to talk and move, despite the fact that her spinal column has completely gone, and even with her rudimentary knowledge of the human body, she knew that that was quite literally impossible.

"I second that opinion, in fact I don't even think a member of the beastmen species like myself, could survive something like that even in our transformed forms" Frederica as if by instinct, pulled Petra closer into her embrace, after all despite not verbally stating it, her nerves were starting to get the better of her. Simply because throughout the entirety of the previous viewing and up until now in the current one, everyone of her animalistic Instincts was telling her that something wasn't right, in fact the only way she could truly describe it was as if she was being watched, however that was not the part that unnerved her the most, it was the fact that it was almost as if she was being watched by a true predator and she had everyone else in the room was the pray.

"Whatever the case may be, if that idiot have any common sense, he will try and find a way off that ship as quickly as possible" Ram try as she might, struggled hard to keep the harsh tone to her voice. After all the reveal of the woman's completely bizarre state of life, just before her passing did unnerved her to a large degree, yet there was something else that kept noring away at the back of her mind, it was a strange feeling, in fact unknowing to Ram, it was much the same feeling that Frederica was currently feeling.

"You're right sister, I think Subaru and his friends, should find a way out of that place as quickly as physically possible" Rem unlike her sister and Frederica, didn't feel any horrible strange feelings, in regards to any supposed malevolent entities, in fact the only thing that she was truly worry about that this moment was the on-screen Subaru's safety. And as far as she was concerned, the quicker that he got away from that twisted and horrified nightmare that he was currently experiencing would be for the better.

After giving the device on his wrist another once over, Subaru then turned in attention to the entryway of the medical deck, to his surprise the door was blocked by two large and Incredibly heavy metal medical supply containers. In fact to his reckoning each one of them could easily weigh 500 pounds, and even if they were empty, moving them would be too much effort considering the physical state that Subaru was currently in, however a thought suddenly occurred as Subaru, as he looked at his wrist, suddenly realising that he had the perfect tool for the situation right on him. So wasting no more time Subaru held out his hand, the ball of energy quickly forming, before a seemingly long thin tentacle of blue energy extended out to the box, and upon contact the box suddenly rose up into the air as if it weighed absolutely nothing. Once the box was firmly in the grip of his kinesis module, Subaru quietly but quickly move the box away from the doors opening, and once it was clear he deactivated the kinesis module, allowing the box to crash to the floor they loud horrifying crunch, as the glass flooring beneath it broke upon impact, Subaru then got to work on the other box, quickly moving it out of the way, and allowing him access to the medical deck access hallway.

"This thing is definitely going to come in handy" Subaru said quietly as he quickly made his way down the medical hallway, maggot infested body bags and other medical containers scattered everywhere, yet Subaru pay them no mind as he quickly came to the end of the hallway, the doors quickly opening up automatically allowing him access into the medical wing atrium, and as the doors closed behind him his wrist suddenly came to life with an incoming message.

"Subaru? Are you there? We were attacked! Kendra's gone! one minute she was there, then... I can't believe I lost track of her" the words practically flew out of Hammonds mouth, the point where Subaru had a hard time actually understanding what Hammond was actually trying to say, however before he could respond, his dark skin seemed to take a moment to calm himself before continuing.

"We can still do this Subaru. Get me the captain's rig codes and we'll find Nicole" Hammond seemed to gain his commanding composure again, which Subaru simply nodded in agreement, however looking around to the destroyed atrium, Subaru could already see a massive problem.

"Hammond, that might be a bit of a problem. Whoever was down here last barricade of the door to the emergency Wing, and I don't think my plasma cutter is going to be able to cut through all of that Metal very easily" Subaru walked up to the strange barricade, inspecting it for a moment only to find out that it was made of floor and wall panels , hastily put together by some kind of arc welder, however Subaru noted that the barrier wasn't trying to keep things out, in fact he felt a chill run up his spine because it was clearly meant to keep something in rather than out.

"Yeah I noticed that from the bridge when I was there. But I've got a plan. If you can get some thermite from the medical lab, and a shock pad from Zero G therapy. You should be able to blow through that thing easily" however before Hammond could explain any further, the holographic screen began to fizzle with white noise and static.

"Hammond!" The concern in Subarus voice was very evident, as the image continued to degrade, Hammond's voice becoming almost unintelligible.

"Dammit, something's trying to block the bloody signal..." However, before Subaru could actually ask what Hammond meant by that, the holographic screen suddenly cut off showing a brief amount of white static before disappearing, leaving Subaru completely alone in the medical atrium.

"God damn it, guess I need to get to work then" true to his words, Subaru quickly made his way over to the large doors that leads to the medical storage wing, and unlike most other doors on the ship they opened up automatically, allowing him access into a dark and ominous looking hallway. However Subaru quickly pushed those thoughts away, as he made his way down the dark hallway, passing a large pile of maggot riddled body bags, however other than the horrid smell managing to make its way inside his helmet, he paid them no mind as he quickly came around a large corner. Where a door was located at its end, however much to his surprise and slight frustration, the door much like one from earlier was continuous the opening and closing again obviously experiencing a malfunction, but also like earlier Subaru had an easy solution to this, as he held out his hand and used the status unit, the door quickly slowing to a crawl allow him to step foot into a very large double decked and very well lit room.

"He said someone was blocking the signal, what could he mean by that?" Crush pondered to herself, of course when it came to Subaru's and Hammond's communication she couldn't understand the technological aspect. But of course the fact they're both communicating by some method was understood, which ultimately was the reason why she was confused, every sign and indicator so far had painted that there was even no one left alive or in a good mental state on that ship, other than Subaru and his two companions. So how exactly anyone could be blocking the signal was something that she really wanted to know, but ultimately would probably never find out.

"Clearly there is something else going on behind the scenes I suppose" Beatrice, much like the green haired woman, couldn't help but feel that something wasn't quite right regarding the interruption of Subaru's and Hammonds transmission with each other. In fact to Beatrice's mind the exact moment the communication failed was incredibly well-timed, considering that Hammond was obviously about to explain how Subaru could make this explosive device, so he could gain access to the medical centre where the captain's body was located.

"Whatever might be behind the scenes I don't think I want to find out" Emilia couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine, as another memory from her dreams surfaced again. The memory was a pristine beautiful field of flowers, that was quickly eaten away by an all-consuming black void, that seemed to eat away at both the land and the sky, and she couldn't say exactly what it, but just the the mental image of it, was enough to make her shake like a leaf, so whatever it was it couldn't have been good.

"If they tec is anything like the stuff we had back home, then interference like that can happen sometimes, but even still the interference was incredibly well-timed..." Al rubbed the chin of his helmet in deep thought. Much like a few other people, he was finding it incredibly suspicious and very well time that the interference happened just as Hammond was about to tell Subaru something important. Plus it seems like Hammond himself also reckoned that somebody was deliberately jamming the signal, but if that was the case then why exactly were they doing it?

"I'm in agreement with Al, something about how well time, the break in communication was just doesn't feel right" Julius could feel his military Instincts beginning to kick in. In fact looking at the situation with said military instincts, made it very abundant to the purple haired swordsman, that the break in Subaru and Hammond's communication was most definitely done by an outside party, but even then what would breaking up Subaru and Hammonds communication ultimately accomplish.

"You're most definitely right Julius, something about this is not right" Reinhardt even without his divine protections could just tell that something about the situation wasn't right, after all the abruptness and suddenness of Subarus transmission being cut, was certainly quite a bizarre and Incredibly strange thing to happen.

"If an outside individual is trying to block their communications, that does make things quite difficult for both Hammond and Subaru" Wilhelm interjected, rubbing his bearded chin as he tried to think of a possible reason why somebody would go through the effort to try and block Subarus Communications, when really they should have been trying to get in contact with Subaru and Hammond so all of them could survive as a group.

"Nyah~considering that woman from earlier, maybe whoever's doing it is just crazy" Felix remarked, much like everyone else finding it quite peculiar that someone would go to the evidence blocking Subaru transmission. But at the same time considering the deteriorated state of the woman from earlier, it was quite possible that if someone was actually doing it deliberately, then they could just be insane much like the woman.

"That's not a bad theory, but then again there's not much evidence to back it up either way" Frederica mused her own mind running a mile a minute, trying to figure out what exactly could be going on considering these strange break in Subaru and Hammond's communication.

Subaru looked around the large and brightly lit space, and much like the main atrium he had come from, the room itself was quite trashed, with all kinds of medical equipment and other medical related paraphernalia scattered everywhere, however after a bit of closer inspection Subaru finally saw what he was looking for, directly in front of the door he just come through, was a walled off part of the medical lab, with the sign above the door that leads to it reading Hazardous Medical Supplies storage, authorised medical personnel only

However much to Subaru's frustration and slight anger, the holographic display on the front of the door indicator that it was completely locked up tight, and looking next the door Subaru felt his moods out even more, because next to the door was located by card reader, meaning that he couldn't get in by hacking the door.

"God damn give me a bloody break" Subaru grumbled as he desperately thought of how to get into the medical storage and gain access to its thermite supply. However a revelation suddenly occurred to him as he quickly open his 3D holographic map, quickly zooming in on the area he was currently in, and he was both relieved and surprised to see, that the actually was an emergency back entrance for the medical supply room, however the route that he needs to take would ultimately take him through the limb donor supply facility.

"If my very life was not the line right now, I wouldn't go anywhere near that place" Subaru said quietly to himself as a shiver ran down his spine, in fact just the thought of that horrible place was enough to cause him to feel both sick and horrified at the same time. But considering the predicament he was in, there was simply no other way, so with his mind made up he quickly made his way to the supply lift at the other end of the room, stepping onto it and quickly activating it. But as the elevator began its slow descent down into the lower portion of the room, a loud alarm suddenly cause the Subaru to almost jump 10 feet in the air, as the room was suddenly bathed in bright flashing orange lights, and after getting control of his breathing Subaru exactly what this meant, his mind flashing back to what had happened to his two other crewmates earlier.

"Oh no, Subaru!" Emilia cried as the deep orange flashing lights and loud alarm like noise, immediately made her think back to what happened at the beginning of the viewing, it was in fact just like before except she feared unlike last time, where it was two of Subarus comrades that had lost their lives to the twisted monstrosities, it would this time be Subaru that would lose his life.

"At least try to have some faith I suppose" Beatrice did a good job of hiding the nervousness in her voice, as Emilia turned to look at the little spirit, and the look of absolute grief and Sorrow that the half elf gave her, was almost enough to make Beatrice crack, yep she held firm, knowing that for Emilia's and Subaru sakes she needed to be strong.

"Frederica, is Subaru going to be alright?" Petra's voice shark with a horrifying amount of fear, and despite her young child-like mind not fully comprehending it, she said that this would be a repeat of what had happened earlier in the viewing, except this time Subaru would be the one that would die.

"He will be fine Petra, this is the same Subaru that managed to defeat the white whale after all" Frederica was quite nervous herself but she managed to keep it well hidden, as she addressed the young girl next to her the beast woman's words seeming to have the desired effect on the young girl as her downcast expression light ever just so slightly.

"Yeah this is Cap we talking about, he will kick those monsters asses for sure!" Garfield said with perhaps just a bit too much energy, yet the effect on the young girl was almost immediate, as her expression simultaneously hardened and brighten same time, meanwhile Frederica looked over to her younger brother, mouthing a silent thanks, to which he simply responded with one of his trademark large toothy grins.

"My Subaru will be fine, he's going to be fine" Rem matted quietly to herself, repeating the exact same sentence over and over again as if it was a mantra, desperately trying to convince herself that her beloved Subaru would make it through this unscaved.

"You should not worry sister, despite his idiocy and lack of intelligence, I don't think even Subaru could easily be taken down by one of those disgusting abominations" Ram tried her best to comfort her sister. Yet despite wishing that she could be, even her own words didn't fully convince her that she would make it through this, no she didn't want him to, but considering the injuries that he had already sustained and the ferocity of a monsters in question, the chances of him actually escaping this nightmare to her mind at least we're becoming slimmer by the minute.

"I suppose you're right sister, I'm just worried about him, he's in so much pain both physically and mentally, it's almost too much to bear" Rem felt her eyes beginning to tear up just at the thought and mental image of Subaru being in so much agony. And it was almost too much for her mind and heart to bear, after all Subaru was the one that gave her everything, and gave her a reason to keep moving forward and continue living. So the thought of potentially losing him, even if it was just a projection of a hypothetical future version of him, would simply just be too much for her mind and heart to take.

"You shouldn't worry you two, young Subaru is a fighter, and a determined young man, that can't be easily stopped by some twisted abominations" Both demon maids look behind them in surprise, only to see Wilhelm looking at the screen. A serious and determined look on his face, as he watched the boy he considered a surrogate grandson, fight for his life against twisted abominations that could only be spawned from the darkest nightmares. And after looking at each other for a moment, Rem and Ram understood exactly what the older man was getting at, Subaru was many things, headstrong, stubborn and had an inhuman amount of determination, and that of course was even without his trump card of return by death.

"Thank you sir Wilhelm" Rem gave a slight bow of the head, her spirit lifted slightly by the word the older gentleman has spoken, Ram meanwhile simply nodded her head in agreement, as Wilhelm continue to watch the events unfolding on screen, yet the slightest twitches at the corners of his mouth indicated that he understood there thanks.

"You're not going to catch me off guard you disgusting freaks" Subaru spat as he unclip the plasma cutter from his belt, bringing it up to eye level as the elevator finally stopped, the safety bar that keep people inside the elevator car opening up, and for moment Subaru stood there his eyes and plasma cutter scanning the entire room, as his breathing began to become somewhat laboured. But just when Subaru thought it might have been a false alarm, a loud crash suddenly made itself known followed by the loud angry roars of one of the twisted abominations, Subaru remained in the exact same spot, listening to the sounds of the monster as it came ever closer, and after what seemed like an eternity. One of the monsters quickly rounds the corner directly in front of him, so not giving it a chance to react, Subaru quickly unloaded his plasma cutter into the creature, the first shot managing to take the monster's head clean off at shoulders, silencing its awful and rage-filled screams.

However before Subaru could even think about feeling relieved, another set of horrified cries echo throughout the medical lab, as two more of the twisted abominations seemingly materialised from nowhere. But as both of them shamble towards him, Subaru noticed that one of them was much more deformed then the others he had seen so far, in fact from the waist up the creature didn't look human in the slightest, with it being just a twisted mass of rotten flesh and wildly flailing limbs, but before Subaru could even react or comment on the strange appearance of the creature. It suddenly started sprinting at him with terrifying speed, causing him to let out a yell of panic as the creature quickly closed the distance, however Subaru managed to put a shot into the creature's body, causing extra stagger from the pain as it let out a cry of pure agony. But Subaru did not show any mercy on the creature, as he quickly put two shots into its upper body, both of them taking off the creature's arms, causing it to scream one final time before collapsing to the floor.

With its companion now dead, Subaru turned his attention to the final creature; however as he was about to pull the trigger, the creature suddenly let out a horrified gurgling noise. And before something flew from the creature's stomach, Subaru in surprise only managed to dodge the projectile as it splattered on the wall next to him, and to his absolute horror the wall panel began to dissolve. But Subaru suddenly heard the creature gurgling again, obviously intending to not miss its second shot, but fortunately Subaru was quicker on the draw, managing to put 3 shots into the creature. One managing to take off the creature's left arm, and the other two impacting the creature's midsection, the damage being enough to completely sever the creature's upper body from its legs and pelvis. Despite the damage the monsters staggered forward for a couple steps, before it's upper body fell clean away from it's lower, landing on the floor of a loud sickening thump, as life quickly left the monster and as soon as it had the loud blaring alarms and bright flashing lights up for quarantine suddenly stopped.

"Hazardous anomaly cleared, quarantine lifted"

"He did it!" Felt shouted in victory, an immense amount of relief flowing through her, at the fact that Subaru had managed to dispatch the three monsters, while not managing to accrue anymore injuries to himself, or unknowingly put himself in unnecessary danger like he had done previously.

"This is my contractor, the fact that you doubted him even for a moment, is entirely on you I suppose" Beatrice said with a small huff, feeling quite relieved that Subaru had managed to kill the three monsters quickly and effortlessly.

"He really did make it" Emilia said quietly to herself, tears beginning to leak from her eyes, but unlike last time they were tears of relief and happiness. However as she cried silent tears of happiness, she suddenly felt a hand come to rest on her shoulder, slightly surprised she turned around and saw that it belonged to none other than Crush. Who had scratched her arm as far as it could possibly go over the seat, to give Emilia a reassuring pat on the shoulder, to which the half elf simply now they silent thank you in response, much to the green haired woman's satisfaction.

"I know he could do it" Reinhardt said confidently, feeling a wave of relief wash over him, as he watched his friend dispatch the horrifying Monsters with ease, and what could always be described as a small amount of confidence, which was almost a far cry from the emotionally beaten down and broken Subaru from only a few minutes before.

"For a peasant with no combat experience, he is doing quite well for himself" Priscilla kept her fan hiding the lower half of her face. As she watched the on-screen Subaru triumph over the twisted abomination that was trying to kill him. And despite not wanting to admit it, she couldn't help but feel just a little bit proud, at the fact that he had stopped being a colossal cry baby, and actually seems to be doing something about the situation.

"Damn, little bro really putting the hurt on them" Al couldn't help but let out of breath he didn't realise he had been holding. Feeling a small amount of relief at the fact that Subaru had killed all three of the abominations with little effort.

"Nyah~you're right Al, he tore those disgusting things to pieces" Felix at one point during Subaru's massacre of the monsters, had to turn his head away, simply because one of the monsters was so grotesque and horrifying to look at. He knew he would immediately be sick on the spot, if he looked any longer than he already had, but despite that the same question kept repeating over his mind, what has the power to distort the human shape like that?

"I still find the power of that weapon remarkable, it has the power to completely cut a monster in two with just a couple shots!" Julius definitely felt his stomach churn slightly, when the monsters were completely destroyed by Subaru's powerful weapon. But he also couldn't look away because of simply just being in awe at how powerful the weapon truly was, considering that it could easily dismember Monsters with just a single shot.

As the quarantine was lifted, all of the metal shutters over the doors quickly retracted, the lighting in the ceiling quickly bathing the room in harsh and sterile white light, which was in fact so harsh it even seemed to dull the colour of the monsters blood that was pooling on the floor and was scattered all over the walls. Subaru for his part simply stepped out of the elevator part, his eyes scanning the room, and not even bothering to look at the monsters dismembered bodies, before his eyes fell upon what he was looking for, off to the side of the room very close to the elevator in fact, was a small office with the sign above the door reading "limb replacement booking office"

"Come on Subaru, you've seen things even before coming here, that would make normal people lose their fucking mind , so get a hold of yourself!" Subaru said with a slight aggressive tone in his voice, as he smacked the side of his helmet with his free hand and then gave his head a slight shake to try and psych himself up. Before he quickly walked over to the small door, and once he held his hand out the door complied, quickly opening up to reveal a small but obviously trashed office. There was dried blood completely covering the floor with the largest patch obviously being some poor souls final resting place, off in the corner there was an overturned desk, and on the wall directly opposite him, next to another door that out of the office, was a series of wall lockers, all of them having red symbols on them indicating they were unlocked.

Subaru took another reassuring breath, as he quickly step through the office choosing to ignore the trashed space, instead simply focusing on the door in front of him, which once he reached quickly and opened without much fanfare, revealing a much darker hallway compared to the bright and sterile medical lab, in fact the difference was almost like night and day between the two. But Subaru didn't pay it any mind as he quickly stepped into the darker hallway, the door behind him quickly shutting and once the door was completely shut the hallway got even more dark, but again Subaru didn't pay any attention to it, choosing to completely focus himself on retrieving the item he needed.

So after a quick march down the dark hallway and quickly rounding a corner, Subaru walked into a much larger space, with its walls being lined with strange containers, containing a strange viscous green fluid that was mostly opaque. Yet there was also something else in the containers, something tiny and almost foetal like, and as Subaru stepped over to a door that lead into another portion of the room, that was separated by large glass windows, one of the strange little blobs in the containers moved abruptly, the sudden movement pushing it closer to the glass, revealing the absolute horror of what the strange little thing actually was.

"Oh my" it took a moment to register in her brain exactly what she was looking at, but once it did Crush felt bile beginning to rise up from her stomach, and even bringing a hand up to her mouth, didn't stop the absolutely horrified and sickening stealing from washing over her, as the bile quickly overpowered her ability to keep it down.

Ram didn't seem to hesitate, as she quickly vomited, letting out several loud coughs and sputters before another wave of vomit exited her mouth, and as she was trying to get a hold of herself, all she could think was that this world was truly barbaric and discuss, if they could do that to someone that hadn't even have the chance to live yet.

"Why... why do they do that!" Rem's voice wavered, as the reveal of what was in the strange container disturbed but more importantly horrified her to no end, and unlike a sister she managed to keep all of her stomach contents inside her. But even then she could feel the familiar burning sensation of bile against her oesophagus, as it slowly began to rise up her throat, which itself was a testament to how disgusting the reveal actually was, considering that Rem even before coming to the theatre had seen and inflicted death, gore and dismemberment to the point that she thought she was no longer phased by it, but obviously the reveal proved her completely and utterly wrong in the most horrifying and disgusting my possible.

"Is that-" Beatrice didn't even get a chance to finish her own sentence, as her face suddenly went as white as a sheet, horrified realisation at exactly what she does looking at registering in her mind, and despite not having a physical stomach to speak off, she suddenly felt the urge to retch, as she turned her gaze away from a horrifying reveal.

Emilia couldn't bring herself to say anything, in fact the poor half-elf couldn't even bring herself to look away, she was stuck looking at the horrifying mockery of all that was natural in front of her, and it's sticking her to no degree, but luckily for her there was simply nothing left in her stomach for her throw up, so instead she simply cough and retched.

"T-T-this W-world is B-barbaric... H-how is that possible..." Felix could feel his voice quivering, as his feline like ears went completely flat against his head, his eyes taking in every part of a horrifying image in front of him, yet his brain either didn't or simply didn't want to process exactly what he was seeing, it was just completely immoral in every sense of the word.

"What in the world, how was that... how is that even possible..." Wilhelm for the first time since the viewing began, suddenly felt completely sickness his stomach, in fact despite his best efforts the age experience the swordsman, could feel bile beginning to rise up in his throat, yet only for a great amount of effort he managed to keep himself from throwing up on the spot, and for the first time he looked away from the screen not able to look at it any longer, because the reveal of what was inside the container was just too horrifying to look at anymore.

"T-T-that's horrifying" Otto managed to get out between his own coughs and sputters, as the overwhelming urge to be sick overtook him, and the realisation of what exactly was in front of him on the screen, was so horrifying that he rightly couldn't look at it, choosing to turn his head away as he tried his absolute hardest to keep himself from throwing up.

Garfield couldn't say anything, in fact taking just one look at the blonde haired beast boy revealed just how he was feeling at this moment, his face was completely bone white, his pupils had shrunken to the point with almost non-existent, and the look on his face was one of absolute pure disgust and horror.

"Frederica, what is th-" Petra didn't even get a chance to finish a question as Frederica quickly covered her eyes with her hand, partly to obscure the horrifying site from the young girl, but also to make sure that Petra didn't see Frederica's at that moment, simply because it would have unnerved and possibly even frightened Petra, because Frederica at that moment felt all of the colour drained from her face. As a wave of nausea overtook her, yet through a great amount of personal control she managed to keep it suppressed, but even still, she couldn't understand why such a barbaric things could be done to poor souls.

"Reinhardt... P-P-please tell me... that's not what I think it is..." felt I wanted so desperately to look away, yet try as she might she couldn't tear her gaze away from horrifying image on screen, and unfortunately the more she looked at it, the more she felt the familiar sensation of bile rising up my stomach, threatening exit her mouth in a torrent of disgusting stomach contents.

Reinhardt didn't respond to his lady in any way, simply looking at the screen with what could only be described as absolute horror. And at this moment Reinhardt finally knew what it was like to be physically sick, as he could feel hot disgusting bile rising up in his throat, as his mind tried and failed to actually understand why such a thing could happen, to poor souls that had an even had the chance to live yet.

"I think I'm going to be-" Julius didn't even get a chance to finish his sentence, as a torrent of hot disgusting bile quickly exited his mouth, causing the purple haired man to cough and gag, before another wave of nausea hit him full force, Julius had really thought that after everything he had seen in this theatre, nothing would ever be able to catch him off guard again or make his stomach churn, but what he had just been presented with was too much to bear, and the image of it alone would be forever scarred into his brain, an image that would come back to haunt him whenever he would close his eyes.

"That is just disgusting" Anastasia said quietly, as she tried and somewhat succeeded at keeping in her own torrent of vomit, her analytical and business focused mind, trying to think of a justification for why such a barbaric and disgusting things could be done, but the more she thought the more she realised that even if there was justification, it didn't make it right in the slightest.

"This world is truly horrifying and bizarre in every way" Roswaal's words lacked his usual goofy and clown like accent, instead there was an unusually hard edge to his voice. And despite not showing it externally even he could not feel just a little bit appalled, at the mockery of nature that he was witnessing on screen, which the irony of such a thing was not completely lost on him, because after all he was a mockery of nature himself.

Priscilla and Al both said nothing, Al because he was simply too disgusted, despite the fact that he already had a sneaking suspicion, what exactly such a barbaric thing could be used for, and Priscilla simply because she didn't think that sharing her opinion with presents that were below her in status, would ultimately mean anything, despite the fact that she was ultimately still somewhat disgusted and a little bit horrified by the revelation itself.

However as Subaru was about to hold his hand out to interact with the door's holographic display, he suddenly heard a loud thumping that reminded him of someone running, and that's when he immediately heard thumping on the glass next to him. Which to his surprise was a man wearing a standard issue medical uniform, screaming about something that Subaru couldn't quite catch simply because of the thickness of the glass that separated the two.

But before Subaru could call out to the man and try to talk to him, he suddenly noticed something slither from behind the man's back, and before Subaru could react something suddenly impacted the man's hand, completely impaling it to the glass, and whatever it was, caused blood to shoot everywhere and the man to scream in absolute agony. And as he tried desperately, to free his hand from whatever had impaled it to the glass, and that's when Subaru finally saw what it was. Crawling up one of the tanks filled with organ donor foetuses, was in fact a small deformed foetus, with three large spike tentacles jutting out of its back, and to Subaru's absolute horror, it's suddenly shot the man with something, causing him to scream even louder as the pain became almost too much to bear. And all Subaru could do was watch in absolute horror, as the creature seemingly readied itself again, before it shot at the man again, man's head exploding in a fountain of gore and brain matte, as his headless and touching body quickly fell to the floor, with the little demon spawn creature quickly screaming with a distorted baby like cry, before jumping up somewhere out of safe and disappearing.

"Oh god, whatever turns those people into those Monsters, did it to the babies as well!" Al suddenly felt the overwhelming urge to vomit, only just managed to keep himself from doing so, by remembering that he still had his helmet on, therefore if he were to vomit it was completely covering his face.

"Oh dragon~Nyah" Felix had seen a lot of gruesome injuries before, everything from limbs being taken off by a swift sword strike, to somebody having their entire chest cavity ripped open by a vicious monster. But literally seeing someone's head pop like it was a blood filled water balloon, was something that would forever be starred in his memory, the image of a man's head popping, was also enough to send his stomach over the edge, causing the feline boy to throw up his stomach contents, much to the concern of those around him.

"Oh my how unsightly" Roswell lacked his usual clown-like voice, his face twisted into something that can only be described as a intentionally muted grimace. Yet it was obvious to those that would have looked at him at that moment that even he, somebody who had committed untold evils to his own children for generations, was disgusted by the fact that even infants were not safe, from whatever plague was making these people into those twisted Monsters.

"What the fuck" was all that Subaru could say in response to what he had just witnessed, and despite realising just how horrifying what he had seen actually was. It wasn't necessarily the man's death that disturbed him, it was more the fact that Subaru had seen and experienced so much death and dismemberment, even before coming to this world, that seeing a man's head literally pop like a watermelon didn't do much to disturb him anymore, in fact all it really did was make him feel slightly nauseous, but even that quickly passed.

"Alright you little fucker, you're not going to catch me off guard" Subaru explained, as he quickly opened the door that led into the other room, gently and quietly stepping through the threshold, as he scan his plasma cutter around the room, keeping an eye out for and trying to locate the little twist in abomination, that had just taken that other man's life only moments ago.

But as Subaru step further into the room, he suddenly heard a deafening scream, as the little twisted foetus pounced on him from a position out of sight above him, it's sharp tentacles raised up, ready to strike and end Subaru's life, however Subaru managed to dodge the little monster as it landed on the floor hard causing it to be dazed for a moment. But instead of simply shooting the little beast, Subaru quickly brought back his foot, and kick to the little monster full force with his reinforced steel boot, the hit was so hard and sudden that the monster didn't have any time to scream or react, as it's body was quickly sent flying through the air, hitting the wall opposite Subaru hard enough, that a loud sickening crunch was heard. And with its body quickly falling to the floor, now nothing more than a pile of twitching flesh and broken bones, but just for good measure, Subaru quickly shot the beast once with his plasma cutter, its twitching body quickly going still as it seemingly died.

With the little beast for now dead, Subaru paid no more attention to it as he quickly walked over to the other side of the room, where a small cargo elevator was located, stepping on to it and pressing the bottom, the elevator quickly raised up for the second level of the room, and unlike the level below. The second level, instead of containing foetuses at different stages of development, had various other kinds of strange containers, each one of them having a different symbol on the front that categorised them by individual body parts, such as lower arms and legs. Subaru however paid no attention to this as he quickly walked to the other side of the room, keeping his plasma cut at the ready just in case anymore those little abominations were around. But much to his relief nothing appeared, as he quickly came to another door and once it was open it revealed the locked supply closet from earlier, meaning that Subaru had gone in a giant circle just to get to one of his targets.

"Guess that's what I'm looking for" Subaru said after a moment of looking around the small space, quickly walking over to a large table in the centre and picking up a red and white canister, and turn it over and his hands for a moment to inspect it, revealed that it was in fact a can of medical-grade thermite, with the container having a large label on the side that read, Warning Flammable Material , Handle With Extreme Care"

"Hammond I got the thermite" Subaru quickly clipped the tank of thermite to his belt, as he opened a communication channel between him and Hammond.

"Alright. That thermite should easily be able to melt through the barrier. All we need to do now is get the shock pad so we can ignite it. I'll try and hold my current position for as long as I can. Because I can hear something huge and very angry sounding moving around out there" Hammonds voice was noticeably quietened as he spoke, causing Subaru to feel just a bit concerned with his friend, before he could ask the connections suddenly cut off with a loud blast of static, leaving Subaru completely alone again in the medical storage closet.

"Ther-mite?" The strange and alien word rolled off Emilia's tongue, as her mind desperately tried to figure out what this thermite stuff actually was, and how it could help Subaru get through the blockade that obstructed his current goal.

"Whatever this thermite stuff is, Hammond said it was flammable which means it could possibly be explosive" Crush like usual uses her over analytical mind to try and think of a possible reason for why things on the screen were happening. She had no idea specifically what this thermite stuff actually was, but considering that Hammond said it was able to melt through the barricade if ignited, it could only be presumed to produce some kind of flame or possibly even to be explosive. If exposed to a naked flame, in fact just thinking about it reminded her of a time when she was younger, when she found out the hard way that flower could actually be flammable under the right circumstances, and possibly even explosive.

"You're quite right lady Crush, it's quite possible that this firm might material could be flammable in some way, especially if that warning label we saw on the side is anything to go by" Wilhelm much like the green haired woman, came to the same conclusion about the possible use of this thermite material. Because to his mind at least there was only one logical conclusion to draw, considering the bright warning label emblazoned on the side of the container, and what Hammond about its use, and that meant that whatever was in the container, it was highly flammable and could possibly melt through the barrier, blocking Subaru from his goal.

"Why does the idea of Subaru of all people playing around the stomach flammable, sound like it could and horribly to me" Felt laughed nervously, the idea of Subaru using something that was potentially flammable and even worse explosive, being a thought that she didn't like in the slightest, considering Subarus propensity to get himself in deadly situations that could end his life.

"Have some faith I suppose" Beatrice said with a small indignant humph, the idea that her contractor was not smart enough to handle something that could potentially be explosive being a stupid one to her, after all Subaru was many things but completely brain dead and stupid was not one of them.

"I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it, great spirit Beatrice" Reinhardt said apologetically, giving a slight bow with the head take indicator that he was truly sorry about his mistresses wording, Beatrice for her part simply let out an annoyed huff, directing her attention back to the screen in front of hair.

(sigh) "Let's go look for that shock pad then" Subaru quickly made his way out of the medical storage closet, coming back into a large and white sterile room he originally started in. And after a quick once over of the room to make sure there was no monsters, he quickly made his way over to the malfunctioning door here originally come through, using a quick blast of stasis so he could get through it, without having an arm a horribly taken off, and once he was out of the medical supply lab. He quickly made his way back to the medical atrium, passing the pile of body bags but paying them no mind, as he made it back into the main atrium for the medical deck.

Looking around for a moment Subaru's eyes suddenly lay upon a strange and familiar box that saffron one of the walls, walking up to it and holding out his wrist the box quickly complied. Shooting out a series of blue blazers that connected with his wrist, and once this was done the box went back to being dormant with a satisfied electronic beep. Subaru then stepped away from the box holding out his hand in front of him as an all too familiar bright sapphire blue line appeared in front of him on the floor, and travelled across the room before disappearing behind a closed door. And now with a definite direction to go Subaru quickly walked over to the door, the sign above it reading "Imaging Diagnostics Wing" And after a moment the door to the imaging diagnostics wing opened up, revealing a surprisingly clean and spotless hallway, in fact considering just how clean it actually was Subaru thought for just a moment, that he maybe could convince himself that it was just a normal day of operations on the ship. Of course the twisted abomination that will most likely lurking around the next corner would beg to differ, but shaking that thought away Subaru quickly made his way down the twisting hallway, passing a large lit up sign that told him he was about to enter the imaging diagnostic swing

However has Subaru turned a corner, a quiet banging noise suddenly became audible, causing him to instantly bring his plasma cutter up just in case, but after standing there for a moment and listening to it, the sound didn't seem to be getting closer, it also didn't seem to be getting more intense. So ever so gently Subaru quickly poked his head around the corner, making sure that only the top of his visor was visible, and that's when he saw it, at the end of the hallway there was another doorway that led into a small access passage. And in that access passage, illuminated by a bright orange emergency light, was a single man continuously smashing his head into the same spot on the wall, a small amount of blood spraying out every time his head made contact. So a little bit confused and a bit disturbed Subaru gently began to make his way towards the man, keeping his plasma cutter pointed at him, just in case he was a monster trying to lure him in. However as Subaru got closer to the actual state of the man's body became the horrifying the apparent, there was almost no flash left on the man's torso and lower body, in fact that looks like the man's body has been dipped into a fish tank full of piranhas, that had eaten him all the way to the bone.

"H-hey... do you need some help...?" Subaru said just loud enough for the other man here, the man stopped banging his head for just a moment, yet other than that he didn't seem to show any reaction, and before Subaru could say anything else, the man suddenly pulled his head very far back, and smashed it into the wall as hard as he possibly could, a horrifying crunchy squelch filling Subaru's ears, as the man quickly fell, his head been dragged down the glass a horrifying screeching noise, before his body hit the floor, a pool of blood quickly beginning the forms beneath him, Subaru meanwhile looked on in both horror and disgust, only just now getting a full look at the man's injuries, and wondering to himself how someone can actually live for anything like that, yet after a pondering this for a moment, Subaru decided it was better just move on, as he quickly walked over to the door that led out of the access passage, looking over his shoulder one last time at the man, before opening the door and stepping into the next room.

"I don't understand, how can someone still be alive after that" Emilia felt her stomach churn, she desperately tried to wrap her mind around what she had just seen. It just didn't make any sense to her, because even with her admittedly limited knowledge on the subject of anatomy and bodily functions, she knew for certain, that somebody who had most of the flesh stripped from their body couldn't survive, yet the man had seemingly been banging his head against that wall for a long period of time before Subaru showed up, if the amount of splattered and dry blood on the walls was any indication.

"Disgusting I suppose" Beatrice felt a wave of nausea hit her full force, as well as the uncanniness and strangeness of the entire thing was also not lost on her. Considering that she could still feel the on screen version of Subaru's emotions, she felt his disgust and his confusion, as well as the general sense of uneasiness that he seem to be constantly exuding, but one thing that confused Beatrice was that ever since he had stepped foot into this medical area of the ship, he had felt more nervous than before. Which only served to confuse Beatrice because she didn't understand why a medical establishment of all things would make him nervous, any more than this ship of nightmares already had.

"Clearly there is something more going on here" Ram failed to suppress a slight cough of disgust, the image of the man's completely flash stripped upper and lower body being something that she would forever see in her nightmares, however for a great amount of effort she managed to push that thought away, instead focusing her mind on the question of how exactly a man who had sustained such injuries. And could actually remain alive for any period of time, considering the blood loss he would have experienced from having most of his flesh taken off, however despite her best efforts, it was simply just another question to add to the pile of other questions that didn't yet have answers.

"I agree with Mis Ram, I think it's safe to assume that there is something else going on here besides the monsters" Wilhelm rubbed his bearded chin in deep thought, his face scrunching up in both confusion and slight anger. As he desperately trying to piece together the puzzle that was the current viewing, however he already knew that despite desperately wishing for answers, putting everything together so far was simply impossible considering the amount of pieces that were still currently missing, but even still the age swordsman had been around for long enough to know that trusting your gut feeling often not, was the right course of action.

Crush chose to remain silent, however her mind was anything but. So far everything she had seen simply left her with more questions than answers. Everything from Subaru's seeming aversion to being touched or being around certain kinds of people, to the question of how exactly he got to the strange in futuristic world. And then there was the question of what the hell was going on with the monsters, clearly they were human at some point, if the remains of clothes and vaguely humanoid shape was anything to go by. But ultimately what could have actually deformed them to the point where they would turn into something like that, was something that one part of her mind didn't want to find out, but another part desperately did. But the most pressing question and a more personal on that she hasn't really vocalised, was that Nicole and her seemed to be somewhat similar to each other, at least in terms of physical appearance, in fact the only real difference between them was that Nicole's hair was an absolutely lovely and very rare shade of blonde, and her hair was a much more common dark forest green.

However, before she could think about it any further she suddenly heard something. A sound that was somehow incredibly quiet yet, yet at the same time easily able to be picked up over the chat of everyone else in the theatre, the green haired woman looked around confused, not quite understanding where the sound could come from. But that's when she heard it again and this time she could catch exactly what it was. it was a childlike giggle, at first Crush thought it might have been Petra. But then it happened again, this time behind her, causing her to snap her head around quickly, her heart beginning to beat faster and faster as she saw that there was absolutely nothing behind her except Priscilla and Al sitting in the back rows of the theatre. After her eyes darted around for a moment only to see nothing, she took a reassuring breath trying to calm herself as she looked back to the screen in front of her, but as she did so, she had the giggle again. This time right behind her, yet this time she didn't turn her head, because at that very moment she felt something riseup within her, something that rooted her to the spot, and what it was. Was primal fear, because it was almost as if her body instinctively knew, that there was something incredibly dangerous behind her, and so she remain rooted to the spot, sweat pouring down her face, and her heart beating so fast that she could have sworn it would jump out of a chest at any moment.

"Mummy" the singular word was so quiet that no one else could have heard it, yet at the same time it was so loud in her ears, that Crush could have sworn she went deaf for just a second, and without even realising what she was doing. She quickly snapped her head behind her, ready to face down whatever was behind her, but to her horror and confusion there was nothing behind her in the slightest, only empty rows of theatre seats.

"Lady Crush, are you alright?" Wilhelm's voice didn't reach her at first, but after a second of realisation Crush slowly turn her head to look at the age to swordsman, seeing the obviously concerned look on his face, yet despite wanting to she simply couldn't find the words to speak for a moment, not quite sure if he would actually believe her if she told him the truth.

"Nyah~are you sure you're alright Crush?" Felix practically hovered over the green haired woman, concern practically dripping from every aspect of his being, yet even still Crush couldn't find the words to speak. Or more precisely she just didn't know how to say it, considering that what she had just experienced would easily classify her as some kind of mad woman, yet after a moment of trying to get herself together, she looks to her two companions.

"I'm fine you too, just feeling a bit under the weather is all" Crush couldn't help but internally cringe, because even to her the words were not convincing, and the look that Wilhelm and Felix gave her definitely told her as much, but knowing what kind of person she was they both decided to not argue against her words, despite the fact there was obviously something.

The room that Subaru stepped into was a very large one, with a large cylindrical object in the middle, separating the room into two distinct parts, looking to his left Subaru could see that there was a small office. Most likely the office that would have been used by the head of the medical department, however much to his slight frustration, the door much like one from earlier was locked by a security card, meaning that he wouldn't be able to get it unless he found the specific card.

However since the small office was not part of his objectives, Subaru decided to pay it no mind, instead he quickly walked over to the right side of the room where an access catwalk was located, however much to his growing frustration, the large ultrasound imaging tank was completely blocking his way. But after a moment of thinking Subaru realised he had the perfect tool for the job, so holding out his hand he quickly activated his kinesis module, and gently began to move the tank out of the way pushing it to the left side of the room, until the catwalk was completely clear of the tank, however as he deactivated his kinesis module he suddenly heard we all too familiar sound of a of a vent cover breaking, followed by a scream of one of those abominations.

Almost immediately one of the leaping type monsters quickly appeared, not giving Subaru any time to shoot it, as it quickly jumped at the wall getting it crews into the metal, to try and keep it some steady while it ready that self to pounce on him, Subaru on the other hand have different ideas, as he quickly and his plasma cutter at one of the creatures arms. And the shot that came forth completely severed the monsters arm, causing the beast to lose its grip and full landing on the floor hard of a cracking noise, Subaru however didn't give the creature any time to recover, quickly delivering another shot that took off the monsters other arm, causing it to scream in agony before quickly going silent.

"Yeah, that's it, kick their asses Cap!" Garfield shouted excitedly, as he watched the on screen Subaru dispatch the monster with relative ease. In fact considering what happened to him just a moment earlier in the viewing, Garfield can't help feeling slightly relieved at the fact that his Captain seeed to be able to deal with the monsters with relative ease now.

"He's doing much better against him now" Julius couldn't help but feel slightly relieved, considering black haired friend seems to be doing much better against the monsters now versus how he was coping with them earlier. But at the same time Julius couldn't shake a slightly off-putting feeling he got, from the way Subaru dispatched to the monsters, clean and brutally efficient, in fact it almost seems like the gore and dismemberment didn't actually seem to bother Subaru anymore.

"I must say despite how efficiently he is executing as Monsters, I find his lack of reaction to the dismemberment quite bizarre?" Reinhardt practically summed up Julius's entire thought process in those simple words, causing the purple haired knight to look at the sword saint in confusion and slight suspicion considering the possibility that Reinhardt could have been reading his mind.

"Well I wouldn't be surprised if little bro is operating on autopilot right now" Al's explanations cause both Reinhardt and Julius to look at him in surprise, and offer a moment of contemplation both of them quite understand exactly what he was trying to say, without further explanation.

"What do you mean exactly Al?" Julius asked the helmeted man, not understanding exactly what Al was actually trying to get at, with his supposed explanation.

"What I mean is, people who don't normally put themselves in life-threatening situations, tend to sort of block things out that aren't important to there's survival during life or death situations" Al tried to explain it to the most concise when possible, and it seems to work as realisation crossed by Julius and Reinhardt faces, both of them now fully understanding exactly what Al I was actually trying to get at.

And with the monster now dead Subaru continued on, quickly stepping over its course and onto the other side of the room, looking around he noticed that to his left was a small door that led to an office. And much like they had been on the other side of the room, but unlike the previous one, this one seemed to be unlocked, however considering what he was actually looking for, Subaru decided that he wouldn't look in the office now, but maybe he would put his head in there on his way back to the atrium. And so he quickly held his hand out to the ground, the sapphire blue line, quickly showing him that he needed to go up to the second level of the room, which would be easy considering there was an elevator right next to the small office.

Subaru, deciding to waste no more time, quickly stepped on to the small cargo elevator, and once the button was pushed the elevator quickly began to rise upwards, and within a matter of moments the elevator came to a stop, Subaru quickly stepping off it and onto the upper level of the room. But before Subaru can even think about going forward, he noticed that there was a large gap in the flooring, just beginner for the imaging tank to pass through, but after thinking for a moment, Subaru suddenly realised that he could just use his kinesis module to move the tank into place so he could get a cross.

So he did exactly that, moving the tank just into the right spot, so he could quickly step across the gap, and then immediately made a u turn going around a pillar, and thankfully at the end of the small corridor, he saw that there was a door that led to zero-g therapy, the area in which shock pads and other gravity therapy equipment was stored. However much like the other side of he just come from, there was a large gap in the floor, for where the tank would reside when not in use, but with a quick use of his kinesis module the gap was filled, allowing him to quickly pass and make his way over to the door, and once it was open he quickly stepped into a small t-shaped hallway. To his right was a locked door that was labelled as research Lab, however directly to his front was another locked door, the sign above the door giving out a warning message that there had been an explosive decompression as a result of a hull breach.

"Shit, this suit isn't rated for extended periods in a vacuum, I'm going to have to make this quick" Subaru said quietly to himself as he tried to figure out how to get the door unlocked, and after a moment of fiddling around with one of the panels next to the wall, he managed to expose exactly what he was looking for, and it was a power capacitor much like the one he had destroyed earlier, so knowing what he needed to do. He quickly pressed the button on his wrist, a loud metallic sound being heard as the magnetic coils in his boot activated, locking him completely to the floor in anticipation of the decompression. And once that was complete Subaru took aim at the exposed power capacitor, taking a moment to steady himself before pulling the trigger. Once the plasma shot made contact with the power capacitor, it exploded with a shower of Sparks and electricity, and almost instantly the door that had been locked quickly opened up. All of the atmosphere in the little t shaped hallway quickly being vented into outer space, and even despite his magnetic boots keeping him in place, Subaru felt the pulling force on him becoming almost too much to bear, as the last of the atmosphere was finally rendered into space, every sound except his hard and laboured breathing completely vanishing with no air to carry the sound waves anymore.

Realising that his air supply was quite limited, Subaru quickly made his way into the next passageway, looking around he noticed that the automatic lighting was completely offline. In fact the only thing that was lighting up the hallway and conjoining rooms, was the bright glow of the star systems parents star, in fact once he reached the breach that exposed the hallway to the vacuum of space. Just a singular moment Subaru felt his breath taken away, because no matter how many times he saw the almost majestic and pristine site of space, it would always be mesmerising to him, in fact the scene itself is the most tranquil, the planet hanging below them in the dark void with its multiple different colours and hues. The young red dwarf star billions of miles away, burning with such an intensity that even from that distance, it could outshine any man-made light source, and then to top it all off the part that he found the most mesmerising, was the uncountable numbers of stars that hang in the sky, each one of them possibly having their own planets and even their own life.

"Oh wow" Frederica was the only one to vocalise how everyone felt at that exact moment, the site before then was something that none of them had ever experienced or expected, in fact despite everything that had happened so far. All of the death, pain and suffering, it was all washed away for just a moment by the strange sense of tranquillity that the scene gave them.

"It's almost peaceful in a way" Wilhelm couldn't help but find the scene before him, strangely peaceful, tranquil and also somewhat beautiful in a way, the way the planet was hung in the dark void as if suspended by invisible strings, as well as the bright almost blinding intensity of the sun lit up the entire scene, together made a very strange looking but ultimately peaceful image,

"It's beautiful and all that yeah, but am I the only one that's gonna be a bit creeped out by it?" Felt said nervously, she couldn't deny that there was something oddly beautiful about the scene. But at the same time, there was just something about it that gave her the creeps, in fact the only way she could really describe it in words, was that the image made her feel tiny and small, as if she was nothing more than a microscopic bug standing in a large open space, and it didn't help that the more she looked at the scene of outer space, the worst the feeling seemed to get.

"No you're not the only one, it is an incredibly tranquil scene but at the same time it's quite eerie" Rem was in much the same position as Felt. The scene itself was tranquil and peaceful, especially compared to all of the madness and insanity that have been shown to them previously, but at the same time she couldn't deny that the more she looked at the vastness of space. The more uneasy it made her, in fact the sense of tranquillity and peace the scene of space had originally, slowly evaporated for her leaving nothing but the same uneasy feeling in its wake.

"I don't like it" Ram words, much like usual were concise and to the point, as she uncomfortably fidgeted in her seat, unlike everyone else she just couldn't find what was tranquil or pristine about the scene. For her it just exhausted a strange sense of uneasiness and foreboding, in fact the pink haired oni could safely admit to herself that she just found the entire thing downright creepy to look at.

"Something about it makes me feel very uncomfortable" Otto for once wasn't alone in his complaint, the scene in front of him filling him with a strange sense of tranquillity, it also made him feel very uncomfortable as if he was nothing more than insignificant speck in an endless ocean.

"I think it's quite a peaceful scene, it's calm, quiet and-" Emilia stopped mid-sentence, as a strange feeling overtook her, causing a shiver to run down her spine, and as she continued to look at the Impossible large visage of space before her. She felt something beginning to tug at her mind, as if it was beckoning her to come and join them, but Emilia suddenly and violently shook her head, clearing her mind from momentary haze that it had just been under, and as she sat there, she couldn't help but think that herself, why exactly did she think there was a them out there in the Impossible vastness of outer space?

Reinhardt didn't say anything, or more precisely he couldn't really bring himself or say anything, because of how absolutely blown away and mesmerised he was by the scene in front of him. In fact when he was a child and before he was the sword saint, he had a very large interest in the stars themselves, and he was also quite fascinated by the connection they had to one of his childhood Heroes, that being the great sage flugel. And more importantly the subject of the stars was one of the few things that he and Subaru could actually bond over, during the few times they can actually spend time with each other, that didn't involve life or death situations.

"The scale is truly awe-inspiring , although it makes me wonder, considering what we've seen so far, what is actually truly out there in that inky black expanse?" Anastasia could safely say that she was definitely in the middle ground, when it came to the scene of outer space in front of her. On the one hand she could definitely say it was very mesmerising to look at, with thousands upon thousands of stars giving the scene a truly natural beauty, but at the same time the longest she looked at it, the more she felt a strange feeling beginning to creep up her spine, in fact the only way she could really describe it, what's the same way that you would feel if you were standing in a well tended graveyard, because even with the silence and tranquillity that came with the graveyard, it was alternately still a place for the dead to rest eternally.

"My my, hooooow peculiar" Roswaal cared nothing for the sense of tranquillity and natural beauty, supposedly had on several other members of the audience, the part that he was most interested in was the strange feeling he got, because the deeper and deeper he looked into the vastness of space. It was almost like something was gently tugging at the edges of his mind, beckoning him to come closer and closer, and whatever it truly was that was talking in his mind, it was almost like it was trying to entice him. And perhaps he was truly even a man anymore he would have given in, yet Roswaal was no ordinary man, he was a man, no a being driven by a singular goal, and that was reunite with the woman that he loved most, nothing would ever sway him from this path, no matter what enticing knowledge that anyone could possibly hold.

"I don't see what's so beautiful about it, looking at it just gives me the creeps~Nyah" As he looked at the strange of a worldly view of Outer Space, Felix could feel every animalistic instinct his body being set off, in fact despite being quite self admittedly physically weak, there wasn't much that could actually truly intimidate the cat boy healer, yet the longer he looked at this strange scene the more he just felt downright uncomfortable.

Subaru looked at the beautiful scene for just a moment, before suddenly realising that he needed to move along, considering that it was now getting slightly harder to breathe, meaning that he was quickly nearing the end of his limited air supply. So Subaru quickly made his way over to the door on the other side of the breached compartment, the door quickly opening up and as soon as he stepped through, it slammed shut with the entire space quickly being flooded with a breathable atmosphere again.

"Hammond, I made it to zero-g therapy. I'm going to head inside and have a look for that shock pad" Subaru quickly open the line of communication between him and Hammond, and instead of being a holographic screen it was simply a small read out that told him audio is being played, and as the giant circular door to zero-g therapy, Hammond finally responded .

"Alright, it should be in one of the supply lockers. Also Subaru, remember to keep your gravity boots engaged. It's highly likely that the gravity has already turned off" Subaru didn't respond simply letting the audio play before the connection was cut. As he stepped into the large circular room that was zero-g therapy, and once he was fully over the threshold he felt his entire body become weightless, and if it wasn't for his gravity boots keeping him on the ground, he would most likely begin floating in the zero-g environment. looking around for a moment Subaru before seeing that, directly across from him, was an identical platform with a large door that was labelled as, zero-g therapy equipment storage. However Subaru realised that there was a bit of a conundrum, because between him and the storage closet was a massive gap, and unfortunately the suit he was currently wearing had no RTS capabilities, meaning for all intents and purposes he was stuck.

"How is he going to get a cross?" Petra asked with an obviously concerned tone in her voice, not seeing any potential way that Subaru could actually get across the giant gap.

"I'm not sure Petra, I don't see any potential way he can get across it?" Frederica couldn't offer any kind of encouragement to the young girl, simply because much like Petra, the blonde haired beast woman just couldn't figure out how exactly Subaru was meant to cross such a large gap, considering that there was no obvious way of him actually crossing it.

"This is Cap we're talking about, he will find some kind of way" Garfield optimistic words caused Petra and Frederica to think for a moment, their minds flashing back to all of the sticky and awful situations, that Subaru had managed to get himself out of, despite having absolutely no rhyme or reason to actually be able to do it.

And so Subaru stood there for a moment, desperately trying to think of a way that he could cross the gap that separated him from his goal. However that's when an idea suddenly occurred to him, and after a moment of checking Subaru did something unexpected, he pressed a button on his wrist, and almost instantly his feet left on the floor, as he slowly rises up into the air, now completely and utterly weightless,

But instead of floating there, Subaru managed to position himself so he was floating directly next to the large door that he originally came through, and unexpectedly suddenly put his feet against the door and push hard, the action and the momentum sending him flying effortlessly across the gap, and after repositioning himself mid-flight, Subaru speak time to rest against the opposite wall of the large space, and once he had managed to re-orientate himself, deactivated his gravity boots again, his feet quickly connecting with the floor with a quiet metallic thump.

"Alright, let's get this shock pad and get out of here" Subaru quickly made his way inside the little supply closet, his head dancing around for a moment, as he tried to locate the item he had come for and after a moment of searching he finally spotted it. Sitting on a small nondescript shelf along with various other pieces of zero-g therapy equipment, Subaru quickly took the object from the shelf, and due to it being very large and cumbersome, he couldn't clip it to his belt like he had done with the thermite tank, so instead he held it in his off hand, the other hand holding his plasma cutter just in case he was ambushed.

"Hammond I've got the shock pad. I'm gonna try and make my way back to the atrium now" Subaru said on an open communications channel, as he quickly exited the little supply closet, quickly deactivating his gravity boots and launching himself to the other side of the room, in an exact mirror of what he had done a moment earlier.

"Good, once you get back to the atrium. combine the shock pad and the thermite together, and you should be able to melt through that barricade blocking off the emergency wing. Also Subaru, keep an eye out. There's something else out there other than more of those things" Hammond's words pause Subaru to pause for a moment, simply standing there as the large circular door in front of him opened up. His mind replayed the last part of what Hammond had just said, and causing a chill to run down his spine, because considering what Hammond had said, maybe Subaru wasn't the only one that was having hallucinations. However Subaru shook that thought away, instead focusing his mind back on the task of getting to the atrium and blowing through the barricade that led to the emergency wing.

Subaru quickly made his way into the little hallway that led back to the breached compartment, and before opening the door he made sure he had a tight grip on the shock pad, and it was good that he did, because as soon as the door began to open, almost the entire atmosphere from the little room was almost instantly vented into space, and the shear force of it rushing past him almost made him lose grip of the shock pad, but he managed to hold on to it as he quickly stepped into the damage compartment, and as he made his way through it he suddenly heard something that shouldn't have been possible

"Subaru... this way" Subaru didn't need to see who the voice belong to to know exactly who it was, and almost immediately he felt his heart rate spike to a dangerous level, as the plasma cutter was instantly at eye-level, as he quickly started darting it around looking for the source of the impossible voice, and that's when he saw it, disappearing behind a corner, was the tail end of an unmistakable white and purple outfit, and as if possessed by something Subaru suddenly and unexpectedly started to run at full tilt, quickly rounding the corner his plasma cutter at the ready, only to be greeted with absolutely nothing put the door that led back into the Imaging centre.

Subaru then he heard it again, this time directly in his ear despite there being an atmosphere for the sound to transfer, and that's when he suddenly felt something beginning to wrap its way around his stomach, and shakily looking down he saw that it was a pale hand, that gently and lovingly began to caress the front of his engineering suit. Yet he remained completely still simply shaking like a leaf as his breaths became hard and Ragged which despite him not noticing, was quickly eating into his precious and very limited air supply.

"What in the hell are you" Despite the quietness of his voice, the sheer terror that was flowing through Subaru right now was very apparent, as whatever this thing was continues to lovingly caress his stomach, and despite there being no atmosphere as well as a fixed suit to protect him from the vacuum, Subaru somehow still felt a hot breath on the back of his neck, as if whatever this was completely ignoring the laws of reality just the toy with him.

"Who do you think I am Subaru" The incredible haunting voice, whispered directly under Subarus ear, causing a chill to run down his spine, yeah he couldn't bring himself to reply, he simply just couldn't bring himself to utter her name, fearing that just the mention of her name would be enough to open mental wounds, that he had spent nearly a decade and a half trying to heal, yet as he stood there his air supply now reaching dangerously low levels, Subaru suddenly felt a strange sense of calm and almost euphoria come over him, as if he had just experienced the most happy and uplifting moment of his life, in fact he felt himself beginning to slowly turn on the spot, suddenly and strangely eager to face whatever was behind him.

Yet as the periphery of his vision was beginning to be filled by her unmistakable silver hair, something deep within his subconscious, suddenly registered what was going on, and with the fog in his mind still very present, Subaru suddenly ran for the door that led back into the atmosphere portion of the ship. Clumsily and aimlessly smashing his hand against holographic display, and as the door quickly opened, he pushed himself through with the last of his energy, using up the final breath of his oxygen, as he suddenly collapsed on the floor, landing on his front hard has the door behind him quickly began to close. And as he turned himself over on his back, for just the briefest of moments, he saw an image that was both hauntingly beautiful and absolutely terrifying, there she was plain as day, her entire front completely shrouded In darkness, as a result of been backlit by the star behind her, and her hair despite being mostly shrouded in shadow, still seem to glow with an unnatural beauty. And the part that he found the most terrifying, was her eyes which despite being completely hidden in shadow, had absolutely no emotion to them, they were just completely empty and lifeless, in fact they brought back horrifying memories of one of his failed loops, wear those very same lifeless and emotionally dead eyes looked on him once before.

And once the door was finally closed, and the atmosphere was quickly vented back into the small hallway, Subaru finally took a breath, holding it in for a moment before letting it out, and then he did it again, this time holding the breath for longer, before letting it out, and on his third breath his chest suddenly heaved as a quiet sob escaped his throat, followed by another and another, until the engineer was quite literally crying his half out, pushing himself up against the door behind him, as he brought his knees into his chest, wrapping his arms around them in a pathetic attempt to comfort himself.

Emilia felt a tornado of emotions crash into her psyche, tears instantly beginning to roll down her face, as she watched the boy that she loved with all of her heart completely and utterly breakdown, and the part that made it even more heartbreaking and horrifying to watch. Was that a hallucination of her, was the thing ultimately responsible for it, but as the tears continue to fall down her face. She felt a strange feeling beginning to wiggle its way into her mind, it was a strange almost euphoric feeling, as if unexpectedly she had just experienced the happiest moment of her life, and slowly her tears began to dry up, instead a small smile made its way across her face, one that only Beatrice noticed which concern. And was quickly turning into something slightly more deranged, and that's when Emilia began to giggle to herself, quiet and almost inaudible, yet as quickly as it started the fog that had taken over her mind quickly evaporated, the giggling stopping almost immediately as she shook her head side to side violently, her long silver hair flapping around like a silver streak.

What's happening to me" Emilia said quietly, her voice trembling as she brought her hands up to her face, covering it from view as her eyes turned slightly crazed, a strange sense of paranoia taking over her, as her mind went a mile a minute probably trying to figure out what exactly was wrong with her.

"You need to get a hold of yourself I suppose" Beatrice said with mild concern, reaching over and resting her small hand on Emilia's shoulder, however Emilia didn't seem to respond, instead continuing to clutch her face with her hands, her eyes now definitely having a slightly manic look to them, Beatrice however decided that literally knocking some sense into the half elf might actually be effective, and so the little spirit drew her hand back, her open palm lock and ready like a loaded gun, and then she released it, delivering a somewhat weak but still effective slap to Emilia's face, causing the half elf to be instantly snapped out of her little delusion.

Emilia could feel a mix of both shock and relief flowing through her, shock at the fact that Beatrice of all people had actually slapped her, but also a large amount of relief at the fact that the slap had seemingly stopped her little mental down spiral,

"Thanks Beatrice I needed that, I don't know what came over me there" Emilia accompanied these words by tightening her grip on the sleeping Subarus arm, pulling at some close into herself that she could have sworn she felt his pulse.

Beatrice however didn't respond, instead simply giving a small and curt nod of acknowledgement, as her little mind was absolutely assaulted by the overwhelming emotion and Sorrow that the on-screen version of her contract is currently experiencing.

"He's afraid of her... But why? What happened to make you like this Subaru" Crush felt an immense amount of pity for the black-haired engineer, in fact she could feel tears beginning to well up in her eyes. Because after that display, it was now made horrifyingly clear just how mentally damaged and unstable this Subaru actually was, and ultimately what was, or more precisely who was the source of his mental trauma.

"Subaru" Rem felt her heart shattering into multiple pieces, as tears began to run down her face, as she watched the person she loved most completely and utterly breakdown. It was simply almost too much for her to bear, in fact it brought back very unpleasant memories about a similar situation, where she had seen him breakdown once before, as a result of mental trauma that he had sustained. But as she watched the man she loved crying his heart out with no one to comfort him, she suddenly felt an overwhelming rage beginning to build up in her, not directed at herself for not being there for him. No the rage itself was directed squarely at the source of his mental trauma, that being a certain silver haired half elf, that had the audacity to sit next to him after the things she had done, yet instead of vocalising this like a dark part of her mind was telling her to. She quickly regained control of her emotions Harnessing all of her maid training, and burying the emotions deep inside her where they would fester.

"He's so sad" Petra couldn't help but let out her own tears, after all seeing the boy that she looked up to like almost an older brother, quite literally broken down and at his lowest point, almost too much for the little girl to bear.

"It will be alright Petra" Frederica tried everything to try and calm the crying young girl, yet Frederica herself wasn't exactly in a much better state, she could never get used to the thought or the sight of Subaru crying like a child. It was almost just unnatural, considering the mental fortitude that Subaru had displayed in the past, yet Frederica now knew that no matter how strong somebody was, everyone has their breaking point, and it seems that Subaru had finally hit his.

Beatrice didn't say anything, instead she was preoccupied with trying to keep herself together, because the sheer amount of emotion her contractor was feeling right now was almost too much to bear. Yet Beatrice could feel the immense random motion that the on screen Subaru this feeling, and quite frankly she was almost broken herself because of it, the amount of loneliness and Sorrow was almost enough to completely break her spirit, in fact Beatrice was actually kind of surprised that tears will not falling down her face like a waterfall.

"What the hell happened to him! Like seriously what happened to turn him into this wreck!?" felt could feel her heart beginning to shatter, because up until now Subaru had managed to keep himself together for the most part, But ultimately it seemed that even someone like Subaru had a breaking point, and on top of it all the revelation that's a hallucination of a certain half elf was the thing that was ultimately responsible breakdown, was indeed quite the shock to the system.

"Something must have happened to him, when he came to this new world, for him to turn out like this?" Reinhardt said with obvious concern, his mind desperately trying to figure out how and what exactly could have happened to Subaru, that ultimately turned him into a complete emotional wreck like this.

"Reinhardt, perhaps it's possible that whatever power transported him to this world , could have done it against his will, or maybe ultimately..." Wilhelm didn't finish the last part of that sentence, as the gravity and the realisation of what he was about to say hit him full force. Perhaps Subaru was taken from their world against his will, but ultimately that didn't explain his emotional state currently, but maybe that was just it, maybe whatever had actually transported him to this world, had done so at the expense of everyone else.

"Someone close to him died, leaving him the only one alive" Anastasia finished walking sentence, her face going slightly pale, as the realisation and the true tragedy of what could have happened to Subaru was finally made apparent. And to her mind at least, it was now somewhat obvious that Subaru was most likely suffering from some form of survivor's guilt, which made her go even paler and kick herself mentally, because all of the symptoms and signs were there from the beginning, yet she and everyone else haven't seen them.

"But he has return by death, surely he could simply just redo the situation again and change the outcome" Juliet racked his brain trying to figure out how exactly Subaru could have got himself into a situation like this. Because considering the nature of return by death, surely he could have simply just redone the events that lead up to the incident that caused him to have such mental trauma, ultimately erasing the event from existence, and pushing the timeline in the right direction.

"Nyah~considering that people around Subaru disturbing propensity to die often, I don't think it's all too surprising that a particular death has affected him this greatly" Felix could feel the gears in his brain beginning to turn, in fact he couldn't help but mentally kick himself because of how easy and obvious the signs where to see. Subaru was suffering from some kind of survivor's guilt, that much was obvious and definitely given, and considering the absolutely horrifying president there was for people that were close to Subaru, to suffer horrifyingly gruesome deaths. But even still the part that Felix couldn't wrap his head around, was what could of actually happened, there were a few pieces that painted a fuzzy picture, the biggest ones being that whatever had happened had clearly left a deep and a horrifyingly long-lasting scar on Subaru's psyche, and whatever the event actually was that did this, could have possibly been connected to how Subaru came to this new World in the first place, of course though that was a giant leap in logic, but even still the beginnings of the picture that was being constructed before them was one that he definitely didn't like one bit.

"I suppose you're right Felix, but even still whatever happened, clearly affected the idiot much more than any other event has previously" Ram could safely say that she was actually quite disturbed by the scene in front of her. Of course she would never admit that out loud, but still watching Subaru, somebody that was quite literally so strong willed that it was almost comical, completely and utterly breaking down as a result of something traumatic, was definitely quite the sight and one she didn't exactly want to see. Because despite not vocalising it ever to anyone, she did somewhat admire Subarus' tenacity and stubbornness to keep moving forward, no matter how many times he was knocked down.

"Yeah Rem is right, Cap's been knocked down before, but still got them back up again, so whatever happened to him this time, must have been really really bad " Many noticed that there was a slight tremble in Garfiel's voice, but they decided to not pointed out to the headstrong blonde teenager. But Garfield at this moment wouldn't have cared at all either way, simply because the sight of his captain, someone that to him, could almost be described as a father/mentor like figure, completely and utterly broken beyond repair, was something that the blonde hair teenager simply couldn't wrap his head around. In fact watching the person who he looked up to most, crying his eyes out with no one there to help him, caused Garfield to feel very conflicted, because on the one hand, it made Garfield incredibly angry, to the point where he quite literally wanted to jump through the screen and beat Subaru senseless, to try and knock him out of this funk he was in. But he also felt like he wanted to try and comfort Subaru, because the sight of somebody that was quite literally the walking embodying weight of sheer willpower, completely and utterly defenceless and just broken, just made Garfield overwhelmingly sad, to the point where he felt like he might join the on-screen Subaru crying episode.

"It must have been treated awful, if it made Subaru into that wreck" it makes me wish I could be there to help him. Frederica said that last part of the sentence in her head, yet as the imaginary word bounced around inside her brain. She could not feel a strange little bolt of electricity from down for spine, as well as her animalistic instincts giving a slight twitch, and he desperately tried to figure out what that just was, she certainly got a strange sense of anticipation and déjà vu , as if her body could feel that something was coming but her mind couldn't.

Subaru had no idea how long he simply sat there, crying his eyes out with his knees to his chest, it could have been days or weeks for all he knew, ultimately he didn't care his mind was just simply broken, and was unable to process much of anything anymore, yet as he sat there crying his eyes out, a holographic message display suddenly appeared, for a moment it was nothing but static before it cleared and the face of Nicole was visible.

"Subaru, it's me..." Subaru didn't immediately respond to the voice of the woman he loved, instead simply just continuing to cry, yet as the message continued to play, he gradually began to realise what was going on.

"I wish I could talk to you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry about everything" As Nicole continue to speak Subaru finally looked up, his helmet automatically deactivating revealing the river of tears and red puffy eyes that was as a result of his intense crying, and as he continues to look up Nicole's face on the message, his crying slowly came to an end as the message continues to play.

"I wish I could just... talk to someone. It's all falling apart here. I can't believe what's happening..." As the message continued to play, Subaru was now completely transfixed by Nicole's face, and even with his crying now completely stopped the sadness did not leave them, instead it only seems to intensify as Subaru watched the woman he loved with all of his heart obviously being in distress.

"It's strange... such a little thing..." There was a definite pause in the message, as Nicole seemed to fidget around in her seat and comfortably, various different emotions crossing her face in a single moment, but suddenly much to Subaru's surprise they all disappeared, leaving her face blank and somewhat calm looking.

"Subaru. Please come find me. Make us whole Again" there was almost a strange otherworldly quality to her voice as she spoke, in fact for just a moment, it was almost as if her voice was speaking directly into Subaru's here rather than being transmitted through speakers. Yet at that moment Subaru didn't seem to notice or care, instead simply reaching out his hand for the image in front of them, before it quickly disappeared leaving him completely alone in the tiny little space.

"I'll find you Nicole. No matter what it takes!" Subaru said after a moment of silence, using the back of his palm to wipe his teary eyes, as he quickly got up to his feet, and after a moment of looking around he found the shock pad, quickly retrieving it from it's position on the floor, and activated his helmet quickly obscuring his face from view again, an audio communication suddenly came through on his communicator.

"That's it Subaru, you can do this" Emilia kept a gentle hold on Subaru's limp arm, as she watched the on-screen version of him get back up after seemingly hitting rock bottom, but at the same time she also felt a small twinge of jealousy in her heart, when Subaru mentioned he would find Nicole no matter what. In fact it wasn't just a small amount of jealousy, it was almost of raging Inferno that was barely under control, but Emilia managed to keep it just under control. Considering that this wasn't her Subaru that was in love with her, that she was watching , this was a future Subaru that had seemingly lost everything and had managed to find love again, after putting the pieces of his life back together, so truthfully despite her heart telling her one thing, Emilia knew that being jealous for this woman was ultimately pointless and not right.

"It's that phrase again, what does make us whole mean?" Crush tried to rack her mind when it came to the strange phrase that had been repeated once again, in fact she simply couldn't make heads or tails of what it's true meaning actually was. But the more she thought about it, the more she realised it was like a religious prayer if a very strange one at that, but even still everytime the phrase had been said so far and even when she just thought about it, cause a chill to run down her spine.

"Perhaps lady Crush, it could be some kind of religious prayer, considering the way it's been used so far?" Wilhelm was self admittedly not a religious man, not because he didn't believe in the idea of the greater power, but simply because he had seen too many dark things in the world, to have such a luxury as blind faith, but even still the phrase itself was definitely a strange one, is it was indeed some kind of religious prayer.

"I have no idea what it could mean I suppose" Beatrice was both relieved and a bit confused, the relief was obviously for the fact that her contract that have managed to get himself together again, but she was also incredibly confused because the final part of the message that lifted Subaru's spirit, didn't seem to have played out the same way as the message had done previously. In fact Beatrice could not remember a part of the message where Nicole had said make us whole, and considering that her memory was absolutely perfect as a result of being an artificial spirit, she felt the strange horrifying feeling beginning to creep its way up her little spine.

"Nyah~whatever it means, something about the way they said, just makes me feel uncomfortable" Felix didn't really care either way exactly what the phrase was and what it actually meant. The only thing that he really cared about was that every time it had been used so far, it caused him to feel slightly unnerved, as if the very words themselves carried some kind of ethereal weight to them.

"Wait you notice it as well?" The new voice caused Felix's eyes to widen in surprise, and looking over to the owner of the voice, Felix was surprised to see that it was the Beast maid Frederica looking at him with equal amounts of concern and confusion.

"Wait~Nyah, you felt it as well!?" For some reason Felix felt his blood run cold, when Frederica simply nodded in response, which now had caused everyone with the exception of Garfiel, to start looking at him and her in confusion, about what exactly they were both talking about.

"Felix what are you talking about?" Crush looked at her knight with both concern and confusion, not exactly understanding what he and Frederica were talking about when it came to this strange feeling.

"That make us whole phrase, whenever they say it, it makes me feel horrible and strangely uncomfortable~Nyah" Felix felt a chill run down his spine and all the way to the tip of his tail, as the words left his mouth. He couldn't understand exactly why these words had an effect on him and Frederica specifically, it just didn't make any sense why it was only them that had this strange feeling, but that's when he had a revelation. The fact that they were the only two feeling this strange feeling was because both of the members of the beastmen species, which meant that they both could perceive and feel things that normal humans couldn't perceive.

"Frederica, do you feel the same?" Rem asked the head maid of Roswaal Manor, the person that was ultimately has superior when it came to the day-to-day activities of being a maid, and much to her surprise and concern the blonde haired woman responded with a simple nod of the head, before a look of concentration crossed have face, almost as if she was trying to think of the right words to say, and after a moment of this she bought her head up, and finally spoke.

"Yes Rem I do, whenever I hear that phrase, it makes me feel strange, in fact it almost makes me feel like-"

"Like you want to run away, from something that wants to rip you to pieces" Frederica was interrupted mid sentence, and much to her and everyone else has surprised the person that interrupted her was Garfield of all people who had not turned his eyes away from the screen in front of him, and much to everyone's concern he was completely stone-faced, with his brow slightly kinked.

"Wait Garfield, you feel it as well?" Frederica felt every sibling and parental Instinct in her body flare up into overdrive, in fact if it wasn't for had training in proper maid like behaviour being stronger than her instincts, she would have ran straight to her brother, and scooped him up into an overprotective sibling hug.

"Yeah, everytime they say those words, it makes me feel weird, almost like I'm staring down something to have to kill me'' Nobody could really think of the appropriate response to that, in fact the words that came out of his mouth almost didn't sound like Garfield at all. There was simply no energy to them, in fact despite doing a good job of hiding it, several could pick up on the subtle signs that the beast Boy, known for being brave and headstrong to a comical degree, was actually frightened by the strange words.

"Subaru, can you hear me! Your rig signature disappeared for a second" The voice of Hammond came through from the other end, as Subaru opened the door lead back into the Imaging centre, and once he had crossed the threshold and the door closed behind him he responded.

"Sorry about that Hammond, I don't know what happened there"

Subaru kept walking as he spoke, quickly crossing the gap where the Imogen tank was currently residing, turning the corner and then using his kinesis module to quickly move it into the right position so he could cross again.

"Damn it Subaru. Don't give me a heart attack like that, I couldn't find your rig signature, I thought I'd lost you there for a moment" Despite not being able to see his face, Subaru could tell that Hammond was very concerned about not being able to see Subaru's rig for a moment, which was both touching and slightly concerning, as Subaru stepped on to the little car go left, that quickly descended into the lower level of the Imaging centre.

"I can't really say what happened Hammond. Nothing happened on my end. So it was some kind of computer glitch" despite wanting to tell Hammond, Subaru knew that he would most likely be branded as a crazy person, so he decided that lying about what truly happened to him was best.

"Well either way. Whatever caused it, seems to be gone now, so keep on contact ok. I've already lost the other members of my crew, I don't want to lose you as well" Subaru quickly made it to the other side of the room, as Hammonds voice came from the other side of the line, in fact his words cause the Subaru to stop for a moment, feeling just a little bit touched that his friend was truly worried for him, however before Subaru could respond, the communication line between them quickly when dead, leaving Subaru alone in the dark Imaging centre.

(sigh) "I need to get the captain's rig, before I lose my mind" Subaru said to himself, as he quickly made his way over to the door that lead back to the main atrium for the medical deck, however as he was about to activate the door, his attention was taken by the locked office he had originally passed on his way in, and surprisingly next to the door itself was actually a power powernode override, something that he had not noticed originally upon entering the Imaging centre. and so without a second thought Subaru made his way over to the locked door, quickly retrieving the powernode from a container on his belt, and inserting it into the door override, and as soon as the power node was in place, the red locked holographic display quickly change into a blue open symbol, meaning that the door could now be used freely.

"So that's what that little thing is for!" Anastasia said with a almost childlike excitement, her mind absorbing every piece of information, about this powernode device, and its use for opening locked doors, in fact it made her think about something called a skeleton key, a special kind of key that could open up my lock, no matter which manufacturer made it or designed it actually was.

"Strange, I completely forgot that Subaru picked up that little thing?" Julia said with a slight bit of surprise, his eyes widening slightly at the reveal of what the strange little object actually did now, for all intents and purposes it seems to be a master key of some sorts, in the fact that it was able to unlock a completely secure door, that need some kind of clearance to get through.

Subaru then wordlessly open the door to the office, his eyes immediately scanning over the small but well lit room, as he expected however most of the equipment in the rumbles medical equipment that would be used to him, however on the wall directly in front of him, he noticed a small box with a red cross on the front, and so without hesitation he hastily walked over to the box, opening it to reveal that it was completely stocked up with first aid supplies, however as he was taking some of the medical supplies out of the little cabinet, he noticed that on the floor next to him, was another personal work tablet, this one being slightly different from the ones previously, because of the small little red cross that was imprinted on the side of it.

After a moment of contemplation Subaru wordlessly bent down and picked up the tablet, quickly pressing a button on its front that caused the tablet to come to life, and after a moment of prodding around the small device, Subaru managed to get the small device to play the last message that have been recorded on it.

"You found something down there, didn't you?" there was a slight pause, as Subaru collected the last of the medical supplies he needed, and made his way out of the office, and as he stood in the doorway that connected to the hallway which ultimately led back to the main atrium for the medical deck, for moment Subaru thought that the small tablet could have been broken, malfunctioning maybe even the recording itself has been corrupted, but after a moment a completely different voice responded to the question.

"Yes... we found something Mercer. So the texts were right, all this time. I wouldn't be certain of that Mercer. There was nothing divine that I saw down there. Kyne we must embrace this! We are the first witnesses!" there was another audible pause, followed by an audible sigh, from the person that Subaru could assume was named Kyne. But Subaru's attention was quickly taken away from the audio log, when he arrived at the location where the mysterious man had been smashing his head repeatedly against the wall , and much to Subaru's horror the corpse that had been there earlier was now completely missing, the only thing left being a massive puddle of quickly drying blood.

"Matthias isn't letting anyone down on the economy. It's under quarantine until we know more. To hell with Mathias, Kyne! He, of all people, should know that this is greater than him, or the operation, or even the company. This is our deliverance!" Subaru's horror at the fact that the man's corpse was now gone, was slightly dampened as a result of listening to the man now identified as Mercer, go on about what was found by the colony on the planet below.

"Mercer my god! People are dying down there! Only the worthless and Unbelievers But I believe in the scripture, but what about you Terence, do you believe?" The message came to an abrupt end, leading Subaru completely alone to ponder what exactly was going on, in fact there were actually more questions than there were answers now, and the only thought that really crossed Subaru's mind at that moment was what the hell did they find down there!?

"The mystery deeeeeppppens it seems" Roswaal could safely say he was most definitely intrigued by the deepening mystery, revolving around the ship and what could have happened to its crew, and despite it being quite a stretch the magician clown couldn't help with feel, that whatever was found on the planet below, was possibly connected to all of the madness that was currently on holding.

"Tampering with forces outside of your control I suppose" Beatrice couldn't help with smile just a little bit, because while everyone else thought it was an appropriate thing to say regarding the situation, Beatrice said it only because it was a quote that she remembered have contractor using once, and when asked about it he simply said it was a quote from something called a movie, of course at the time she had no idea exactly what this movie think he was talking like actually was, but now with added context Beatrice found it appropriate and somewhat amusing to use the quote now, despite the seriousness of the situation.

"What could they have possibly found down there, and more importantly, has it got anything to do with what's happening right now?" Crush couldn't help but be slightly confused, but at the same time feel that some pieces were finally beginning to fall into place, clearly this strange spacefaring vessel had found something on the planet below, when it conducted its mining operation, something that judging from a language that had been used in the audio log by this Mercer individual, viewed as almost some kind of divine relic,

but at the same time it was also viewed very much as a possibly dangerous object considering it unknown and alien nature. of course Crush had absolutely no idea what the object actually was or even what it looks like, but she could safely say that her that feeling was telling her that whatever the object was, it was most likely very important what was happening right now.

Emilia couldn't bring herself to say anything, however instead simply just holding onto Subaru's limp arm, but suddenly she felt a strange almost tingling sensation in her brain, as well as a word being formed on the very tip of her tongue, and despite the word itself being completely alien to her, also felt strangely familiar somehow as if it was somehow a dear old friend that she was only just now remembering. and despite no one else actually hearing it she spoke a quiet question to herself

"What's a marker?"

"Nyah~whatever they did find, it clearly wasn't good" despite another piece of the puzzle now being revealed to him and everyone else, Felix good has certainly say that he wasn't in a hurry, the find out exactly what those poor Souls had found down on that dragon forsaken planet below.

"It seems that the idiotic people of this world either haven't invented or simply don't know about the idea, of leaving something you don't know well alone" Ram's voice lacked it's usual harshness, instead the tone of her voice could be described as slightly sympathetic, which was ultimately true, considering that despite these people having done something truly idiotic, possibly dooming all of them to Madness and death because of their own curiosity, ultimately didn't change that they did indeed lose their lives, and despite what some people would say about her Ram was not completely heartless when it came to the subject of people she didn't know passing away.

However as he quickly round in a corner, he suddenly and abruptly came face-to-face with one of the twisted abominations that was the crew, and before he could even react or scream, the monster lunged at him, quickly using its small and twisted arms on its torso, to grab a hold of him, but before the creature could take a bite out of his next Subaru managed to bring his arm up, and pinning it against the monsters gouged out throat, which only managed to just keep its gnashing, razor tooth filled jaws from taking a bite out of his neck.

Subaru!" Almost everyone simultaneously screamed, as they watched the black head engineer quickly struggling to fight for his life, against the ravenous and twisted beast that was trying to take chunks out of him, using it's twisted and deformed mouth filled with razor sharp teeth, and much to everyone seeming horror the monster was ultimately beginning to win, bringing is horrifyingly razor sharp teeth closer and closer to his neck with every struggle and horrified grant that it left out.

"Come on I suppose, get that thing off you, before it takes a bite out of your neck!" Everyone turned their attention away from the screen, to look at the little spirit, in response to her shouting at top of her lungs, her face as expected was in mixed between horror and absolute anger, as she watched the one person in her life that she truly cared about, quite literally fight for his life with everything he have, while a twisted abomination was desperately trying to take chunks out of his neck and face.

"Get the fuck off me!" Subaru screamed, yet the monsters only reply was to double its efforts, desperately trying to sink its razor sharp teeth into his neck, while using be massive bony protrusions on its hands to try and slash his back open, and with a sudden burst of strength that caught Subaru off guard, the monster managed to sink its teeth directly through his helmet, before pulling its head away completely tearing the front portion of his helmet clean off, Subaru's shocked and terrified face being exposed to the open air with an accompaniment of sparks flying from his destroyed helmet. however has the monster spat out the remains are Subarus helmet, and began reading itself to try and take another bite out of him, Subaru managed to summon strength he didn't know he had, and delivering a devastating punch to the side of the monsters head, the power of which was so intense, that the side of a monsters head actually caved in from the impact, causing blood and brain matter to go everywhere, and with the monster momentarily stunned Subaru managed to push the monster away from him, causing it to fall onto its back, and before the thing could even think about trying to get up, Subaru opened up on it with his plasma cutter, screaming in both rage and terror as he enjoyed the rest of his energy clip into in the monster, and once the energy clip was depleted Subaru stood there for a moment breathing loud and hard as he looked down at what was left of the monster, if before it looked like a twisted in the form human being, now it looked like nothing more than a pile of smouldering twitching flesh, with a massive pool of blood quickly forming beneath it's smouldering corpse.

"Oh thank the Dragon, he managed to kill it" Crush felt her entire body almost deflate as a result of the sigh of relief that she left out, despite not saying anything out loud for just a single moment there, she really did think that Subaru was about to meet his end at the hands of that twisting abomination, but it seems that Subarus unnatural amount of luck had managed to pull through for him again. However, despite Subaru managing to win his fight against the monster, it ultimately came at a cost, that been his incredibly advanced helmet which was now rendered completely unusable by the monster tearing it to shreds.

"Of course my contractor killed it, even without his return by death ability he's not as weak as people think he is I suppose" Beatrice said with a almost proud tone of voice, accompanied by puffing out her chest in a almost proud manner, however Subaru's victory over the twisted Beast ultimately came at the cost of his own advanced equipment, considering that half of his helmet was currently lying on the floor in several pieces next to the monsters smouldering corpse.

"Indeed young Subaru is much stronger than people give him credit for, but it seems it's come at the cost of his advance helmet" Wilhelm was most definitely relieved that Subaru have managed to spare himself from the horrifying fate at the hands of the monster, however the age swordsman couldn't help but be quite worried considering that Subaru his helmet was now completely and utterly unusable, which meant that leave Subaru needed to venture into a part of the ship that didn't have an atmosphere, he wouldn't be able to anymore because his lack of a helmet.

"Yeah Cap's helmet is completely broken, he can't do all of that space crap now!?" Garfield expressed with a large amount of concern evident in his voice, considering all of the dangerous things that supreme had experience so far during his short time on the strange and nightmarish ship. Garfield didn't need to know exactly what the helmet could do, to know that it was incredibly important and without kit Subaru would be have a major disadvantage on his mission.

"Garfield calm yourself now, despite Subaru being a colossal idiot, I'm sure he'll find some kind of solution" Ram let out indignant huff, despite not wanting to say it even she could admit that Subaru had a almost impossible ability to adapt to almost any situation, despite the circumstances.

"Ram is right, Subaru is going to make it through this no matter what!" Emilia said confidently her gaze lingering on the sleeping form of Subaru, while her mind replied the events that just happened on screen, because despite not wanting to even think about it or admit it, she was for a moment they are convinced that she I was about to witness Subaru experiencing another and possibly permanent death, but thankfully Subaru had managed to pull through, managing to dispatch the monster at the only cost being his advanced helmet.

"While I want to agree with you big sis, but the helmet seemed really important, and I really doubt there's just another one of those things lying around for him to pick up" Felt wanted to stay positive, but if there was one thing that she had learnt during her time as a street rat and petty thief, what was that taking everything with a grain of salt what is usually the best way to go about things, because she had seen many times how over optimism had gotten people she had known, either severely crippled or even worse out right dead.

"Miss Felt is right, but I distinctly remember Subaru saying something about a store much earlier, so perhaps this store could have parts to repair his helmet?" Julius's remark pause quite a few to think for a moment about what he had said, Subaru match earlier in the viewing had picked up something that he specifically referred to as a credit clip, and considering that the name was obviously self-explanatory, it meant that there was most likely somewhere on the ship, where's Subaru could exchange this credit clip for something in return.

"That's definitely a good idea~Nyah. But don't you think that's a bit of a far-reaching stretch Julius?" Felix did think it was a decent idea in principle, he couldn't get behind it mostly because it was a giant leap in logic, and required a large amount of assuming, however the main reason that Felix wasn't convinced by what Julia said said was simply because the damage that Subaru's helmet had actually had done to it, the thing was quite literally ripped into to different pieces, and despite not knowing anything about this world's technology, Felix could certainly say that the helmet was completely unrepairable.

After taking a moment to catch his breath, Subaru quickly realised that he had dropped the shock pad during his trouble, and after a moment he found the device on the floor, so not wasting any time he quickly scooped it up off the floor, keeping his eyes on the smouldering corpse as he slowly backed away from it, and as he turned a corner and the corpse was out of sight. He quickly turned on his heels and ran full tilt towards the exit, quickly bursting out of the doors that brought him back into the main atrium for the medical deck. And as the doors to the Imaging Centre shut behind him, Subaru bent-over desperately trying to catch his breath, well as trying to rid himself of the pain that came as a result of him aggravating his cracked and broken ribs.

"Hammond (huff) I made it back to the (wheeze) The main atrium" Subaru managed to say between his hard and Ragged breaths, for lack of his helmet meaning that his voice no longer had a slight muffled distortion to it.

"That's good. Wait Subaru are you alright I'm looking at your rig right now and is going haywire!?`` After catching his breath for a moment as well as trying to dull the pain of his aching ribs, Subaru responded to Hammond, while he made his way over to the improvised barricade that blocked off the morgue section of the medical deck.

"One of those things managed to get the jump on me. It destroyed my helmet, and I think it damaged my rig as well" Now standing in front of the barricade, Subaru quickly got to work, placing the tank of thermite on the barricade, before taking the shock pad and disassembling the defibrillator portion of it, and running the wires to the tank of thermite. And once the thing was set up, Subaru flicked a switch on the shock pad, quickly stepping away as the device powered up, before letting out an electronic snap, and almost immediately he was blinded as the tank of thermite ignited, due to being slightly blinded by the bright flame of the thermite. Subaru rubbed his eyes for a moment and once his vision returned to him, he was met with the site of the barricade having a large hole now melted into it, white hot metal still dripping from the edge of the hole.

"Subaru stay where you are. I managed to hack into the auto store systems, and I'm going to send you over a ne-"

"Hammond the barricade is already gone. It's a straight shot from here to the morgue, so I'm just going to go for it" Subaru said as he made his way through the hole in the barricade, being extra careful to avoid the edges of the hole which still had molten metal dripping from them, and once he was through the hole, quickly activated the door in front of him, the door splitting down the middle revealing a L-shaped hallway, that lead into intensive care ward.

"Alright just be careful ok, also remember the captain's codes are on his rig, so make sure you transmit them to me when you find it" with that the transmission between Hammond and Subaru was quickly ended, leaving Subaru alone once again in the dark medical deck.

"Looks like young Subaru's goal is finally in sight" It was a simple observation really, but Wilhelm couldn't help with feel slightly relieved, at the fact that Subaru was just moments away from reaching his goal, and remembering what Hammond had said earlier about retreating from from the ship of nightmares, once they had a quiet information they needed, also made Wilhelm spirits lift slightly.

"Hopefully once they get that captain the rig thing, both of them can find somewhere to get the hell out of there" Felt certainly say that she was quite tired of this view in already, both in the mental and physical sense, but with the prospect that it could possibly be coming to an end, she couldn't help the feel slightly uplifted.

"You're right Felt, Although what exactly is a morgue?" Emilia tilted her head to the side in an almost animal-like manner, as she thought about the strange word that has been used multiple times by both Hammond and Subaru, obviously it was some kind of location or possibly a facility in the medical deck, but what exactly this morgue thing was actually for, was a complete mystery to her.

"A morgue is a location, where the people of my contractors home world store their dead, before they are given a proper burial I suppose" Beatrice said it was a matter of fact tone in her voice, failing to suppress a slightly smug smile spreading across her face, feeling almost a childlike glee, at the fact she was able to effortlessly the half elves question without a second thought.

"Oh really, that's. . . kind of morbid" now having her question answered, Emilia now wish that she actually didn't ask the question to begin with, but she suppose that did make sense that the captain would be there if he was deceased, since this morgue was apparently some kind of the storage facility for the dead, before they were given a proper send off.

"It's not my fault you asked the question I suppose, perhaps next time think about what you're going to say before you verbalise it" Beatrice didn't use an overly mean tone, but it was obvious to most that she wasn't particularly happy with the half-elf's response. Emilia for her part simply let out a nervous laugh, turning our attention away from the little spirit that was currently shooting daggers at her with her gaze.

After letting the heavy metal doors close behind him, Subaru took a moment to collect himself as well as insert the last of his energy packs in his plasma cutter, meaning that he only had 10 shots left before he was completely out of ammo. However as he finished inserting the plasma energy into the plasma cutter, he noticed something on the floor directly in front of him, and after bending down to look at it Subaru was surprised and slightly weirded out, to see that it was another personnel tablet. In fact much like the one he found earlier, had a large medical Insignia emblazoned on the side of it, so decided to waste no more time Subaru picked up the tablet and press play, as he made his way further into the Emergency Wing. However instead of it being an audio log like he was expecting, a holographic video began to play in front of him, the face on the holographic display immediately causing him to stop dead in his tracks.

"This is senior Medical Officer Nicole Brennan, transmitting ship wide. We need help! We don't have the resources to deal with this many cases!" There was a slight pause in Nicole's ranting, followed by a long and almost exhausted sounding sigh. Before she tried to collect herself again and continue from oh she'd left off. Subaru on the other hand simply stared at the screen or most transfixed, seeing the amount of distress she was in, was almost enough to make him cry again, but he held in as he watched the message play out.

"Nobody will tell us what's happening. These wounds... we're not equipped to deal with this..." Nicole was interrupted once again by the sound of a man screaming in agony, causing her to let out another frustrated sigh, before turning away from the camera and shouting something to somebody off screen.

"God... Get him to the table! Hold him nurse. Hold him down damn it! Christ! End recording!" The holographic video quickly ended, fading out of existence, yet the image of Nicole's scared and frustrated face would forever be scarred into Subaru's mind, however he shook his head quickly opening up a communication line to Hammond to tell him what he had found.

"Hammond did you see that?" Despite there being an actual connection between the communicators, the moment of silence that came after his question made Subaru slightly nervous, however just when Subaru thought that his friend may have fallen prey to those monsters, Hammond finally responded.

"Yeah I saw that. I can't tell from here when exactly that log was made, but by my reckoning it can't be any more than a couple of hours ago. I guarantee she's somewhere around his Subaru" Before Subaru could respond to Hammonds reassuring words, the connection between them was suddenly interrupted by a burst of static, before the connection went dead completely, causing Subaru to let out a quiet curse in his native Japanese tongue. However instead of simply just waiting around for Hammond to contact him again, Subaru held out his hand, activating his way points locator, which immediately sent forth a brilliant blue line, sneaking its way around a corner disappearing behind a large set of doors. And now with a direction to go Subaru quickly made his way around the corner and to the doors and question, wasting no time he activated the holographic display on the front, the doors opening up to reveal a dark and trashed waiting room, with a door to his right side which the sign above it labelled it as "Intensive Care Wing, Authorised Medical Staff Only"

"The way that Nicole was speaking about it, made it sound like they were talking about some kind of disease outbreak?" she looks exactly like me!? Crush didn't verbalise that last part to anyone, but actually having a clear view of Nicole's face, completely solidified it in her mind that her and Nicole had exactly the same face.

"You're right Miss Crush, the way she spoke of it , made it sound like they were dealing with some kind of infectious outbreak?" Julius couldn't help but feel that some pieces of the puzzle were beginning to fall into place. But at the same time the few answers that could be taken away from the recording seemingly raised more questions to take the original ones places.

"They found something on the planet didn't they... So maybe that could have caused it?" Emilia said abruptly, she didn't have any evidence for what she was suggesting she knew that. But something in her mind was telling her that whatever they found on that planet down there, could have possibly been responsible, for what had happened on the ship before Subaru and his friends arrival, however the logical part of her brain kicked in, making her realise just how idiotic that was to say without any evidence to support it.

"That's not a bad assumption I suppose, but there's no evidence to say so... at least not yet" Beatrice of the last part so quietly that no one heard her, on the one hand she found the idea what had been found on the planet below, was solely responsible for what was happening right now completely ludacris. But on the other something in her non-existent gut told her that may have been closer to the truth then her for anyone else would have liked.

"Beatrice has a point you know, personally I think whatever is causing this is some kind of disease outbreak, that's turning those people into those disgusting things" Anastasia couldn't keep the disgust from her voice, her entire small petite frame shaking violently at the memories, of those twisted and deformed abominations that Subaru had encountered and dispatched earlier in the viewing.

"Nyah~I don't think it's that simple" Felix's comment caused everyone to look at him in surprise, many were expecting him to wholeheartedly agree with Anastasia's possible explanation for what was going on, so to have him completely deny it was certainly quite the shock to everyone.

"What makes you say that Felix? Reinhardt said with a slight amount of concern in his voice, despite his divine protections telling him exactly what the catboy was feeling, one look at Felix's face was all that Reinhardt needed to see to know that his feline friend wasn't exactly in the best of spirits right now.

"I don't know~Nyah I can't say for certain but... S-something just tells me it's not that simple" True to his words Felix didn't know for certain way exactly he felt the way he did, explanation of it being some kind of viral or disease outbreak from the planet below make sense from a logical perspective, in fact the explanation made almost too much sense to the point where it seems like it could be a intentional misdirection.

"I suppose you're right Felix, I agree that at this current point in time, it's too early to say exactly what could be causing all of this" Despite the fact that the disease outbreak explanation did make a lot of sense to give any evidence so far. Wilhelm much like Felix couldn't help but feel it was too easy of an exclamation easily, in fact something in the age swordsmans gut just told him that whatever was actually causing all of this, the explanation that had been given about it being some kind of disease outbreak just made too much sense, to the point where it was actually kind of suspicious how much sense it made.

"Mr Wilhelm is right, the explanation of it being some kind of outbreak makes a lot of sense, in fact I would go as far to say that makes too much sense" Ram could definitely say she wasn't convinced by the explanation of it being some kind of disease outbreak. For one, despite this being a different world, she highly doubted if there was any disease out there that could twist and deform the human body to such a horrifying degree, and the explanation of it being some kind of disease or viral outbreak was just too convenient of an explanation.

After giving the waiting room and never once over, Subaru quickly opened the door that led to the emergency room, and the sight that greeted him caused a wave of nausea and uneasiness to well up with him. The emergency room look like something straight out of a horror movie, the room was completely trashed, medical equipment and hospital gurneys scattered across the room haphazardly, there was blood absolutely everywhere, in fact there was so much blood on the walls and floor, that Subaru actually had a hard time what the original colour of the walls and floor was actually meant to be. However, pushing that away Subaru made his way into the trash medical room, keeping his plasma cutter at the ready just in case one of those monsters tried to get the jump on him again.

"Alright, where's the morgue?" Subaru said quietly to himself, as he activated his 3D holographic map, trying to locate where exactly the morgue was meant to be, however that's when he heard something off to his right, something that sounded really like a child giggling. And so he quickly deactivated his holographic map, bringing the plasma cutter up to eye level, his breathing beginning to become hard and laboured as his turned into a look of rapidly increasing panic, however that's when he heard it again this time more clear, and quickly snapping his plasma cutter over to where the sound of come from. Subaru saw that there was an open elevator in the corner of the room, the sign above it reading "Morgue Elevator Access Authorised Medical Staff Only"

Nervously making his way over to it, Subaru to come over to look inside the elevator for a moment, making sure there wasn't a monster in there waiting to ambush him, however he suddenly heard something fall behind him, causing him to spin on the spot instant and firing a shot with his plasma cutter, however instead of his snapshot connecting with a monster like he had thought it would, it didn't find any monster to hit, instead simply impacting the wall on the other side of the emergency ward, and after a moment Subaru let out a calming breath realising that his nerves were beginning to get the better of him.

(giggle) "This way..." Subaru heard it right behind him, however instead of jumping 10 feet in the air from the sudden voice, Subaru felt strangely calm all of a sudden, as he turned around on the spot clipping the plasma cutter to his belt as he made his way into the small elevator cart. And once the button had been pressed, the elevator began its upwards ascent towards the morgue, where the captain's body was located.

As soon as the childlike voice made its way into her ears, Crush felt an almost indescribably sharp shoot from her head, causing her to let out a quiet hiss as well as bringing a hand up to her head in a vain attempt to try and dull the pain. However after closing her eyes for a moment, opening them revealed that she wasn't in the theatre anymore, instead she was sitting on a small couch in a room that was both incredibly alien yet completely familiar at the same time.

"Mummy mummy!" A small voice suddenly sounded off in front of her, looking down she was surprised yet somehow relieved to see a small young boy, possibly no older than 4 or 5 years old, holding out a piece of paper with a drawing on the front. Wordlessly she took the drawing from the child, expecting something cute and innocent, however she felt her eyes practically bulge out of her skull, when she saw what the drawing truly was. At first glance it looks like indescribable chaos, but the closer she looked the more she realised there were things that she could recognise, for example despite the crudeness of the representation, she saw a figure that she can only assume was Subaru, in his strange and alien engineering armour. There was also another figure on the opposite side of the drawing, this one she instantly recognised as herself, however what disturb her about this drawing of her, was the red crayon that represented blood flowing out of her mouth and eyes. But the thing that separated both the drawing of her and Subaru, as well as taking up a majority of the page, was a strange double helix shape seemingly made out of two different entities wrapped together around each other, their two points almost touching due to them being wrapped around each other. In front of this strange shape was what she could assume was the representation of the boy, however instead of having any detail whatsoever her was nothing but a completely black figure, three white dots in its face representing eyes and a mouth.

"What is th-" Crush didn't even get a chance to finish, as she looked up from the drawing in her hands, only to see that the almost homely-like space was completely gone, replaced with something that should only be described as the inside of a tornado. And instead of sitting on a comfortable couch moments ago, she was now standing on a large expanse of smooth black rock, with large pillars made out of the same black rock, along with several strange double helix obelisks jutting out of the ground, and inscribed into every surface including the strange obelisks were indecipherable little glowing symbols. Which just looking at made Crush feel a strange madness beginning to eat away at her mind, however that's when she remembered the boy, looking at the spot where he had been previously, revealed that he was still there. But just looking at him made Crush feel a horrifying mixture of insanity and horror, physically he was the same as he was moment to go, but instead of having a childlike and youthful atmosphere surrounding him like was common for children, instead there was a almost malevolent atmosphere surrounding the boy, as if his very being was made up of the things that terrified humanity in the darkest of nights.

"W-W-what are you!?" Crush practically screamed due to the intensity of the wind surrounding her picking up considerably, yet if the boy had heard her at all, he didn't respond or indicated as such, instead he continued to stare at her, his eyes hidden by shadow. And with a growing sense of panic building up within her, Crush shakily and as if by Instinct went to draw her sword, however her hand grabbed at nothing, and it was at that moment that she remembered anyone that had a weapon on them when they were transported to the theatre, had it confiscated by the warden as a preventative measure. However, before she could focus on the dilemma of not having a sword at her side, the boy began to take intentionally slow and menacing steps towards her, as if he was a Predator savouring the last moment before it captured and devoured its prey.

Crush began to take slow and steady steps backwards, as the boy continued to advance towards her, however after a couple steps she suddenly felt herself almost slip backwards, after the heel of her foot can't connect with anything. Her eyes widened in horror when she looked behind her, instead of there being an expensive smooth black rock like there was a moment to go, instead the rock came to an abrupt end, with nothing but the swirling tornado like void ready to greet her with open arms if she fell. However as she looked back to the boy, she saw that he was directly in front of her, in fact if it was possible her eyes somehow grew wider, filling with complete absolute terror as this boy... no this thing looked up at her. The shadow that had covered his eyes once before now gone, revealing something that was both horrifying and bazaar at the same time, his eye sockets were completely empty, but emptiness was quickly filled, when his eyes and his mouth began to glow, with a light that was so intense that Crush felt like she was staring directly at the sun. Yet She couldn't look away as the boy reached out a hand for her, and with strength that was far beyond someone of his size, he pushed her over the edge, and even over the wind and her screaming as she fell into the void, she heard him speak.

"We will be made whole"

Please... I don't want to die! that was the singular thought that entered Crush's mind as she continues to fall, ironically she had always thought that she wasn't scared of death, even when she face the down one of the most powerful sin archbishops, she wasn't scared if it was her time today then she would have accepted it, at least that's what she would have thought, but now she continue to fall deeper and deeper into the abyss, she realised for the first time that the fear of death, was something that nobody could truly overcome, even if you accepted your inevitable end, the fear of death itself would never leave you, however as she closed her eyes waiting for the end, everything just. . . stopped.

.

.

.

Crush's eyes snapped open revealing that she was no longer in the void falling to her death, instead she was back in the theatre at the exact same moment she closed her eyes. And looking around dumbfounded at everything around her, she saw Wilhelm and Felix sitting on either side of her, both of them conversing with members of the Emilia camp, in regards to what was happening on the screen at this current moment. And as she looked around at the theatre around her one last time, she felt every single piece of energy leave her body, her eyes rapidly growing dark, the sounds of the theatre and several concerned voices became almost distant sounding as she drifted into unconsciousness.

"Lady Crush?!" Wilhelm was the first to notice, as the green haired woman in question suddenly slumped forward in her seat, in fact if it wasn't for his quick reflexes and catching her, she would have smashed her head on the forward seat in front of her. And holding her in his arms Wilhelm quickly check her pulse, feeling a slight sense of relief, when he realised that she was simply unconscious. However the pressing concern at the moment was how exactly she slipped into unconsciousness at random like that, in fact one moment she was completely fine seemingly contemplating something to herself, then the next she simply slumped forward in her seat, rapidly falling into unconsciousness.

"Oh my dragon ,Crush! Wilhelm what happens to her!" Felix's loud and practically screaming voice managed to get everyone's attention, all of them directing their attention to the scene that was on folding in the row behind the Emilia camp.

"I'm not sure Felix, one moment she was fine, then the next she slipped into unconsciousness" Wilhelm carefully positioned the now unconscious woman so that she was comfortable, while Felix quickly rushed to her side and began to use his healing magic, however his face quickly turned from a look of concern to one of confusion. Which Wilhelm immediately noticed, however Wilhelm waited for when Felix was finished, because the old man had learnt the hard way what interrupting Felix during his procedures could actually entail for the person that he was healing.

"Is Crush going to be alright!?" Emilia's voice was filled with obvious concern, as she looked at the unconscious Crush, hoping and praying that there was nothing wrong with the woman and contender for the throne, and that she now considered a close friend. In fact the level of Emilia's concern for the woman was so great, that she had actually left the sleeping Subaru's side. And as she and everyone else looked on in concern for the green haired woman, Felix finally finished his inspection of her, the pale blue glow from his healing magic disappearing in an instant.

"I don't understand~Nyah There's nothing physically wrong with her!?" Felix was completely dumbfounded, his words causing everyone else to look at the confusion as well, he did a complete magical inspection, and there was absolutely nothing. In fact it was almost as if she had lost the energy to stay awake, and had fallen into unconsciousness as a result, but that just didn't make any sense to the catboy healer, people very rarely fall on conscious with no reason for it, and considering the kind of woman Crush actually was, it was very unlike her just faint like that for seemingly no discernible reason.

"What do you mean there's nothing wrong with her, she just straight up fainted?" Felt by now had made her away from her seat towards the unconscious woman, Reinhardt following Close behind as the both of them look at the unconscious woman with obvious concern.

"Felix I know that you are more skilled in medical magic than I am, but perhaps I should take a look just to be sure" Reinhardt said slowly, because just for a moment Felix looked like he was about to explode. But after thinking over it for a second , the catboy reluctantly moved out of the way, sending Reinhardt a look that could only be described as, I trust you but please be careful

And so with that, Reinhardt quickly made his way to the side of the unconscious woman, who was still mostly resting in his grandfather's arms, and as Reinhardt positioned himself next to the woman, both him and Wilhelm locked eyes for just a moment. That moment was all that was needed, their relationship in the past had been strained to say the least, however after everything that had been shown to him in the theatre, Wilhelm had slowly realised that he had been neglecting the very thing that he thought he had lost.

"Please do everything you can Reinhart... I trust you" Reinhart look at his grandfather in both surprise and shock. But those were quickly replaced by a small smile spreading across his face, as he realised exactly what this meant, his grandfather actually trusted a monster like him, with somebody that was perhaps wilhelm's closest and perhaps only true friend in the world, in fact Reinhardt could feel a small tear rolling its way down his cheek.

"Of course... grandfather" Reinhardt immediately got to work, summoning every medical related to divine protection he could find, however after a moment of inspecting her thoroughly using these divine protections, he found absolutely nothing wrong with her. In fact much like he had expected, Crush at this current moment was quite literally the pinnacle of health, but that's when Reinhardt thought of something that probably wasn't necessary, but would still probably best to be checked anyway. And so he summoned a particular divine protection, a very rare one that allowed him to dive deep into a person's psyche, however when the divine protection was activated nothing happened, in fact much to Reinhardt's shock the divine protection was working, but there was something actively blocking him from entering a woman's mind, as if the gateway into her mind had been completely sealed with no way of getting in.

"So did you find anything~Nyah?" Felix asked nervously, practically hopping from one foot to the other, and his tail wagging around a mile a minute due to the amount of nervousness that was flowing through him, Reinhardt however decided to give the divine protection of mind reading one last try. However much to his growing concern and slight frustration, the result was the exact same, he was completely blocked from her mind by something that the divine protection could not overcome.

"She's fine least physically, in fact she's in perfect health, so the fact that she passed out so suddenly is very strange, but until she wakes up I don't think we're going to get an answer" Reinhardt said as he vacated the spot next to the unconscious woman, making his way to the end of the row of seats, only for Felix to shoot past him at a speed that Reinhardt found quite surprising for somebody that didn't have any speed related to divine protections. However Reinhardt quickly returned his attention back to the question of why his mind reading divine protection was unable to access Crush's mind, in fact despite this being the first time he had ever used such a divine protection. He knew for certain that there was very little that could actually counter divine protections, so the fact that he'd been completely blocked from accessing her mind was certainly something for concern.

"Rein, you're right?" Felt's cause Reinhardt to snap out of this contemplation, looking down at the little blonde that was his lady, a large amount of concern written across her face.

"Something's not right Lady Felt" Was all that the red-headed swordsman could say. As Felt continued to look at her red headed knight, his face flashing through various different emotions, with his eyes holding a level of concern that worried her. Yet much to her surprise and growing concern he didn't say anything, instead he simply began to make his way back to his seat, the little blonde quickly following behind him, as a strange sense of foreboding began to creep its way down her spine.

After a short and uneventful elevator ride, the elevator doors quickly open with a satisfied ding, indicating the Subaru that the elevator has arrived at its destination, However as soon as the doors opened up, he was absolutely assaulted by the smell of pure death and decay, in fact the smell was so bad that Subaru vomited right there and then. Although considering he hadn't eaten anything from the last 6 hours, that wasn't that his stomach could actually throw up, however after a couple of dry heaves he managed to get control of himself again, and quickly made his way into the absolutely disgusting morgue.

"God, this place is awful" Subaru said quietly under his breath, as he made his way deeper into the absolutely disgusting smelling and looking morgue. There was blood absolutely everywhere, covering almost every surface, and bodies in various states of decay and dismemberment littering the floor, along with pieces of broken medical equipment, however as he rounded a corner, he spotted what he was looking for. Laying on a hospital gurney inside a small autopsy room with large observation windows, was the body of a man that was in much better shape than the rest, and going by his dirty and stained clothing Subaru can assume that this was the captain.

However before Subaru even thought about retrieving the Captain's rig from his body, he heard the all too familiar sound of a vent breaking and a monster making its way into the room. But instead of being assaulted by a twisted and shambling abomination. Subaru looked into the autopsy room, only to see a creature that was strangely horrifying but orderly intriguing, and if the creature was ever human to begin with, it certainly didn't have any human-like traits anymore, with it strange triangular body, and wings with bony hands at its ends, in fact as the creature flapped it's freshy wings to get itself airborne, it makes Subaru think that the creature had a passing resemblance to a bat.

But Subaru's musings on the creature quickly came to an end, as the strange abomination quickly flung itself at the captain's body. Wrapping its fleshy wings around the corpse's back, before a long spiked proboscis was extruded from the creature's "head" and subsequently stabbed itself deep into the corpse's skull. And after a moment Subaru watched in horror and slight fascination, as the corpse began to violently shake, blood, mucus and other bodily fluids, as the flying creature was quickly thrown off the violently shaking corpse. And after a moment of this, several loud bony cracks were heard, as two new blade tipped appendages rip themselves straight out of the corpse's back, as the milky white dead complexion the corpse had had previously, quickly disappeared, the skin turning black and almost leathery, and once it's transformation was complete, the newly born abomination used it's blade like arms to push itself off the ground, turning its head to stare directly at Subaru as it's eyes began to glow a dim sinister yellow.

"So that's how they made..." Emilia said with her voice practically overflowing with disgusted curiosity, as she and everyone else watched the birth of one of these twisted monstrosities first-hand, in fact no one else can bring themselves to say anything, either out of complete utter revulsion, or because they will simply just too shocked to say anything. however has as Emilia looked into the glowing eyes of the creature on screen, she suddenly felt a small bolt of pain shoot from her head, as another image from her mostly forgotten dream resurfaced, this one being a disturbing image of the Subaru that was currently sleeping next to her, wearing one of those disgusting monsters faces, in fact just the image of it alone was enough to send a horrified chill down her spine, yet try as she might she couldn't get the image to leave her brain, almost as if some outside factor was deliberately making it impossible for her to castaway the mental image of Subaru being one of those twisted abominations.

"For the love of-" super didn't get a chance to finish as the monster quickly let out of terrifying roar, before raised its arms above its head, and quickly brought them down on the glass that separated him and the creature, of course the outcome was inevitable as the glass quickly shattered into a million pieces. The monster not even pausing, as it quickly began to run straight at him, however Subaru was quicker on the draw, as he quickly grabbed his plasma cutter not even bothering to aim as he quickly put a shot into the monsters leg, thinking that the leg would separate from the body,

However much to his horror and surprise, the bolt of white hot plasma impacted the monsters leg, practically carving halfway into it before stopping, leaving behind a smouldering gaping wound, yet the leg remained attached, the monster quickly recovering from the momentary pain as it began to charge once again. And as the monster tried to swipe at him with its impossibly sharp bony claws, Subaru managed to back step, putting another shot into the monster this time in its torso, but the result was the same, it left a absolutely horrifying wound yet it did very little to actually slow the monster down. But as Subaru was lining up another shot, he noticed out of the corner of his eye, that the strange bat-like abomination was quickly sneaking its way across the floor to another corpse, and remembering how this current monster had come to be, Subaru decided to improvise. So after managing to dodge another swipe from the monster, Subaru quickly grabbed a gurney that was beside him, quickly pulling it in front of him, so it blocked the monsters path, and with his much energy is he could muster, he quickly pushed the gurney directly into the monster. And despite its unusual toughness, the monster stood no chance against the heavy piece of medical equipment, as it directly impacted to the monster, causing it to quickly tumbled to the floor, with the gurney followed suit, falling directly on top of the monster and therefore pinning it to the ground for the moment.

However, despite knowing that wouldn't stop it for long, Subaru quickly turned his attention to the bat-like creature that had managed to grab hold of another corpse, intending to turn it into another abomination. Yet it would never do so, as Subaru quickly put four shots into the creature, the first to doing relatively little damage to its thick hide, yet his last two shots managed to completely cut the creature into, its horrified squealing noises quickly being silenced as it died. Yet almost instantly, Subaru turned around on the spot, as the black skinned abomination letting out an all mighty roar of rage, and managed to throw the heavy medical gurney to one side, and getting back to its feet. But before it could even think about renewing its assault, Subaru put two shots into the monster's legs. This time actually having the desired effect, as the monster was quickly relieved of it's lower appendages, it's body falling to the ground Yet Subaru did not let up, using the last two of his plasma cutter shots, to take one arm off the creature as well as its head, and only then did the creature finally go silent, it's horrifying roars of pain and rage, still echoing around the dark and disgusting morgue.

"Looks like you're alright Felix, about the monsters not being caused by some kind of disease Outbreak" Wilhelm said after a moment of silence, despite having reservations about the monster being born as a result of some kind of disease. The reveal of the exact method that was used to bring these twisted abominations into being, was both completely utterly revolting yet slightly morbidly fascinating. However looking over to his feline companion, Wilhelm wasn't surprised to see that the catboy was just sitting there, in what could only be described as stunned and disgusted shock, his eyes unblinking as he stared at the screen.

"Yeah~Nyah" Was all that Felix responded with, as he continued to stare at the screen in stunned and horrified shock. The reveal of the monsters were brought into existence by another kind of twisted monster, ultimately did answer the question of how the monster actually came into existence. But it also raised the very pressing question of how the strange bat-like creature that had the ability to make monsters, actually came from in the first place. In fact using a expression that Subaru had used once, it was a classic chicken and egg scenario, which despite being a strange expression Felix could actually understand what it meant, if the strange bat-like creature was indeed once human, then what turned it into its current form, considering that it seemed to be responsible for generating the monsters from the corpses of the deceased.

"One mystery solved, yet another one rears its ugly head I suppose" Beatrice didn't need to elaborate on her point for everyone to get what she meant, it seems that for every mystery that was ultimately solved in this particular viewing, several more pressing questions were ultimately born out of the solution to just one of them.

"If that thing makes the monsters... then what made it?" Emilia's question was ultimately one that could not be answered and she most definitely knew that. But even still what was ultimately responsible for everything that was happening, of course the origins of the monsters have been answered, with Subaru encountering the strange bat-like creature, but if the bat like creature was responsible for creating the other monsters, what ultimately what brought the bat like creature into existence so that it could actually make more Monsters?

"I really don't like where this is going" Garfield could freely admit that he wasn't the most intelligent person in the world, as a result of being brought up in the sanctuary with little to no schooling outside of basic reading and writing skills. But one thing that he had honed for years, was his animalistic instincts as a result of being part beastmen, and so far every single incident in his body, whether it be human or beastmen in origin, was telling him that no matter what happened, it was only going to get worse from here.

After letting the silence wash over him for a moment Subaru took a slow calming breath, which immediately made him gag, considering that the air in the mould was practically filled with the scent and taste of decay. But pushing that aside, he quickly walked over to the still twitching corpse of the monster he had just killed, looking over it for a moment before spotting what he had originally come all this way for. And so bending down, Subaru quickly got to work disconnecting a small little device from the monster's upper shoulder blades, and once it was disconnected super turned over in his hands to look at it, giving a nod of approval before opening a direct line to Hammond.

"Hammond... I've got the captain's rig codes. I'm sending them over to you" Subaru immediately got to work transmitting the correct authorisation codes. As well as quickly made his way back to the elevator, that led back down to the emergency wing, after all staying in that disgusting morgue any longer than he had to, was something that Subaru exactly want, I'm does the elevator doors opened up, the small elevator greeting him with open arms, Hammond finally responde.

"Alright, captain's codes received, and they look good. Thank God. I'll start accessing the captain's records right now. Make your way back to the tram station Subaru, and I'll contact you there. I'm going to find out what the hell happened to the ship" The elevator gave another satisfied denoised to indicate that it had reached its destination, the doors opening up and allowing Subaru to step back out into the absolutely trashed emergency wing.

"Alright, I'm already on my way there" Subaru quickly cut the connection between him and Hammond, as he made his way over to the door that led back into the waiting room, and after opening it and poking his head inside for a moment, Subaru was relieved to see that there was no monsters waiting to ambush hi. And so he quickly made his way through the small waiting area, quickly coming to and opening the large doors that ultimately led back to the main atrium. And after a quick journey, Subaru was finally back in the main atrium, being careful to duck through the hole in the barricade that was less than an hour previously.

However as Subaru took a moment to breathe and rest, he suddenly remembered something about Hammond sending over a new suit, to replace the damaged one he was currently wearing. So deciding that it would be best to get it over with, Subaru made his way over to the auto store, the holographic display panels quickly folding to greet him as it offered various different kinds of products. However after entering his credentials, and giving it a moment to load up, an alert popped up saying that there was a special package that had just been delivered, clicking on the message, the auto store took a moment to comply with his request, before opening up and prompting him to step inside. Subaru wordlessly made his way into the little space, the doors quickly shutting behind him, as a blinding white light began to seep through the crack of the doors, but after a moment the white light faded, the doors quickly opening up with a small burst of steam, as Subaru stepped out with a completely brand new suit, however instead of just having a helmet and some upper chest protection. This new suit was much more robust looking, with metal plates covering the upper arms and upper legs, and after giving his arms a quick stretch, his new helmet quickly covered his face, the new three bar visor quickly lighting up, however after taking a moment to admire his new suit, an urgent communication alert of popped up indicating that Hammond was contacting him.

"A completely automatic store! imagine the prophets we could make with something like that, especially considering there wouldn't be any workers to pay!" Anastasia was practically drooling at the prospect of how much money she could make from such a thing, completely missing the fact that several people in the audience, particularly numbers from the Emilia camp, couldn't give small laughs at her behaviour, and the fact that the normally reserved and quiet purple haired woman was being so animated and expressive.

"You're quite right Miss Hoshin, although I'm interested in that new suit that young Subaru has acquired" True to his word Wilhelm was quite interested in the new suit, considering that compared to Subarus previous one, the current suit looked much more sturdy and robust, of course there were several indicators to Wilhelm that this suit was not designed for battle. But even still, there was a noticeable increase in sturdiness and over armour protection for this particular suit, in particular the armour was most noticeably concentrated around the upper legs, arms and chest. The helmet also seemed to be a noticeable improvement over the previous one, obviously in the fact that it was completely intact and not damaged, but also the fact that much like the suit itself it looks much more sturdy, and I like it could actually take a hit or two without being destroyed.

"Oh damm! Cap got a new suit thing! and it looks cooler than the last one!" Garfield's very animated response to the reveal of the new suit, caused quite a few to let out small laughs, after all despite the things he had seen and even done. The young beast boy was ultimately just that, a boy that was only just experiencing puberty, was still finding his place in the world, his behaviour also did a bit of brevity to the situation, distracting everyone for just a moment from the horrifying reality that was the current viewing.

"You're damn right, that thing looks like it can take a hit or two!" Felt said excitedly, the prospect of Subaru getting a new and enhanced armour set, that could hopefully protect him from the twisted abominations, was definitely quite an exciting and relieving prospect. She also couldn't help marvel at the armour itself, she couldn't say exactly why, but there was just something about the way the armour looked, that made Subaru look both slightly menacing and maybe just a little bit heroic, which the more she thought about, the more she found perfectly fitting for Subaru because of his mean looking gaze yet selfless and heroic actions.

"Hopefully that will keep you safe, you absolute dunderhead" Emilia said affectionately, as she looked from the on-screen Subaru to the sleeping one that was currently next to her, gently running a hand down his sleeping face, much to the grumbling of a certain little spirit. Yet Emilia paid no attention to that, as she looked deep into the face of the boy she loved, however she was quickly assaulted by the image from earlier, of Subaru having the same face as one of those twister the abominations, causing her to shake her head violently much to Beatrice's slight concern and confusion.

"Nyah~I know Subaru's pain tolerance is ridiculously high, but how is he still moving with those broken ribs?" Felix said quietly to himself, the fact that Subaru was still moving despite his broken ribs was both incredibly shocking yet somehow admirable, Felix had met a lot of people in his time who had high pain tolerance is, Wilhelm was a perfect example of this, considering that he was inflicted with a special Kind of the wound that could never heal, but Subaru's pain tolerance was on a completely different level to anyone he had ever met, in fact when Felix met Subaru and found out just how his pain tolerance actually was, it quite literally threw him through a loop, but of course with the added context of return by death , and seeing first-hand the multiple and horrifyingly gruesome deaths that Subaru had experienced up until now, did someone explain it. But even still Subaru's pain tolerance continue to amaze and slightly terrify Felix, of course despite having evidence for the exact opposite, the catboy healer couldn't help but think that Subaru was driven by something more than the normal human mind could comprehend.

"My Subaru is going to make it through this, I know it for a certain" Rem kept repeating quietly under her breath, so far everything she had seen in the current viewing was just torture to watch, seeing the person she loved to be so scared and terrified, and they're literally be nothing she could do about it, almost made her want to rip her hair out in anguish fuelled frustration. It also didn't help, that he had multiple close calls with the twisted abominations stalking the dark and twisted hallways of that strange ship, in fact just seeing one of those things sharing the screen with Subaru, was enough to make a horrifying rage build up within her, to the point where she wanted to throw herself at the screen, in some vague attempt to try and break through it and get to were Subaru currently was. Of course the rational part of her brain told her that was impossible, considering that the warden had said what they were watching was Subaru's future rather than his present. But still the fact that she couldn't even be close to him because of a certain white haired devil in the form of an elf, was currently taking up the pressure spot next to him, it was also too much for her to bear, in fact despite managing to knock herself out of it. There was a moment when she honestly considered getting up from her seat, and splattering the half elf brains to cross the wall with her bare fists, but of course as quickly as that violent thought entered her mind. She felt horrified shame and anger, directed at herself for thinking such a thing, about the woman that Subaru loved more than anything, and the woman that she served as her personal maid.

"Subaru! Somehow one of them found a way down to the Captain's Nest! I managed to contain it and a damaged escape pod" Hammond took a moment to recover himself as Subaru looks on concerned, as he began to walk back to the tram station, stopping for a moment as he noticed that Hammond seem to be quite shaken up by his encounter with the strange beast, however after a moment the dark-skinned man seem to recover from his encounter, managing to calm himself as he continued.

"All right lifting the executive lockdown... I found the deck logs... Whatever is happening around here, it came from the planet when they cracked it open. it spread to the colony, and reached the ship. Subaru, this isn't an infection. It's some form of alien life!" despite the gravity of the reveal, Subaru could say that he wasn't all to shocked, to find out that the cause of this entire thing was some kind of alien life that came from the planet below. However before he could verbalise this to Hammond, he felt a slight tremor, just strong enough to be felt but easily missed if you weren't paying attention, this was also followed by the all too familiar sound of the ships hull giving off quiet groans as the entire ship seemingly shifted.

"What the hell was that!?" Subaru said as he noticed the tremors quickly subsiding, and the groaning of the ships structure quickly went silent, however as he was about to ask Hammond what that was, there was a quick burst of static obscuring Hammond's face for a moment, before the image of Hammond's concerned and shocked face returned.

"Shit! we got bigger problems. the ship's engines are offline and are our orbit is rapidly decaying! Subaru get to the engine deck as quickly as you can and see what you can do, I'll stay here at the bridge in trying to figure out what the problem is" Subaru didn't even need to respond as he began to run as fast as his broken ribs will allow him, quickly making his way through the body bag infested hallway, that lead back to the train platform. Luckily the tram which had brought him to the medical deck in the first place, was still there waiting patiently, as if it was some kind of noble steed, made of metal and powered by nuclear energy, however before Subaru stepped into the tram, he looked over his shoulder, because it felt like he was being watched, and for just the briefest of moments, he saw a all to familiar white and purple sleeve disappear back into the hallway he had just left. And being slightly more frantic, Subaru quickly smashed in the coordinates for the engineering deck, the tram quickly complying with his request, with the doors quickly shutting, and the tram quickly accelerating away from the platform and into the darkness of the tunnel, leaving behind a completely empty platform, except for a single occupant with flowing silver hair, levelling her gaze at the tram or more precisely the black-haired engineer that resided inside it. And once the tram was completely out of sight, the figure vanished as quickly as it came, leaving behind nothing but an empty platform devoid of all life.

Well that was certainly a doozy of a chapter wasn't it? definitely not as big as chapter 2, in fact this one is just under half the length of chapter 2, but still 36k words is definitely an impressive and respectable length,

Anyway before I sign out I just want to say that my plan going forward is to try and release chapters on at least a partially monthly schedule, of course with college coming up I don't know if I'm actually going to be able to stick to that but hey I'll try.

Also I managed to get this chapter out before my birthday which is a positive, so until next time I'm signing out, and see you in the next chapter.
