A/N: Hi everyone, thank you for all your comments. They were so nice and kind. I'm sorry this chapter took so long. My chromebook broke and my parents made me save my money to get another one. I hope you enjoy this chapter! Thank you.

Brinley contemplated her next move as she made her way to the highway that ran in front of the motel. She had never hitchhiked before, but it seemed to her to be the best option. She knew she needed to get out of Manning, CO if she didn't want John to find her, and hitchhiking seemed like the quickest route and easiest route. As she wandered alongside the highway, she felt the phone vibrating in her back pocket and pulled it out to find Dean's name on the screen. She thought about ignoring it, but knew that would alarm them and they would definitely come looking for her.

"Hello," she answered trying to disguise the guilt in her voice.

"Hey kid," Dean greeted. "We just wanted to make sure you're ok." His voice brought tears to her eyes. She hated that she was actually starting to like him and Sam.

"Hi Dean…..I'm fine," she replied sadly. A horn blared in the distance and Brinley coughed in an effort to try to cover it up.

"Are you outside?" Dean questioned.

"Outside?" she could hear Sam question in the background.

"No….it's just a movie on TV," she scrambled with an answer, her voice quavering slightly. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest and guilt consumed her.

"What movie?" Dean asked curiously.

"Uh….uh….I don't know what it's called, I just put it on," she lied. She waited, and wondered if he could sense her lie through the phone.

"Ok, just be careful it's not too scary since you're there alone," he commented. "And listen kid, Sam and I have no intention of sending you to live in FL, so don't worry….we'll take care of it." Tears fell from her eyes. She didn't want to leave her brothers. They were her safe place. Being with them was the first time she had felt safe since her mother died. But the thought of living with John Winchester sent chills through her body.

"Brinley?" Dean questioned when she didn't respond.

"Uh….I'm here," she replied as she fought back the urge to tell him she was running away. "Thank you Dean, but you don't have to worry about me."

"Don't be silly," Dean commented. "You're our little sister and we're going to do whatever we can to protect you."

"Ok," Brinley replied guiltily. "Thank you."

"Ok kid. We just got here. We'll see you soon," Dean said as he hung up the phone. He felt uneasy as he set the phone on the seat between him and Sam.

"Is she ok?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, I think so," Dean replied as he replayed the conversation in his head. "I just don't like the idea of leaving her alone in a motel room. She's just too unpredictable and the fear of John Winchester isn't going to stop her from doing something stupid."

"I know," Sam agreed, relieved that they finally agreed on something when it came to their Dad.

Meanwhile, Brinley turned and looked back toward the motel. She thought about what her Mom would want her to do, and that answer was simple. Her Mom would want her to be safe even if that meant having to put up with John Winchester. She sighed with frustration, and then walked a few more feet and looked back toward the motel again. She knew John was always disappearing on her brothers and thought maybe his presence would just be temporary and she wouldn't have to deal with him for much longer. She walked a few more feet and sighed again. Finally, she turned around and headed back toward the motel which was about 100 yards away just across a grassy area that divided the businesses from the highway.

The sound of an engine caught her attention as she continued toward the motel. She glanced over her shoulder to find a dark colored, beat up Camaro pulling off the road. It wasn't her brothers, and the two people inside seemed to be watching her. "We just hit the jackpot! That's her!" she heard a woman's voice yell. Terrified, Brinley dropped her bag and started running toward the motel, and panicked when she remembered she didn't have a key. She found herself being tackled to the ground, and felt a shark pinch to her arm, and then everything went dark. "Luther will be so happy," were the last words she heard.

Meanwhile, the beat up Camaro arrived at an old barn in the woods about twenty minutes later as John, Sam, and Dean watched from a distance. A man with dark hair and in a white t-shirt, came out to meet the Camaro. He held the door open and shaded his eyes from the sun.

"We got her," said a man as he emerged from the Camaro with a woman.

"Son of a bitch. So they're really not afraid of the sun?" Dean commented to his Dad and brother.

"Ahh, direct sunlight hurts like a nasty sunburn. The only way to kill 'em is by beheading. And yeah, they sleep during the day, doesn't mean they won't wake up," John said.

"So I guess walking right in is not our best option," Dean replied.

"Actually, that's the plan. We'll wait a couple more hours," John replied. They headed to the trunk of the Impala to collect their weapons.

Meanwhile, the vamps carried an unconscious, young Winchester into their nest. Brinley woke as they tied her to a post in the middle of the barn. "Hello there little Winchester," said the man with the dark hair and white t-shirt. "My name is Luther."

"How do you know me?" she questioned groggily, still half asleep.

"I know your Daddy and your brothers….and let's just say, they'd like to see me dead," he replied as he leaned down to her level and ran his finger along her cheek. Brinley suddenly found herself wide-eyed and alert. "Welcome to our nest," he smiled. He looked like a normal person to Brinley, just like in the movies and tv shows, but at the same time, he looked terrifying to her because she knew what he was capable of. John's description of vampires resonated in her head.

"Luther, please, just a bite, she looks so sweet," a woman pleaded as she wrapped her arms around Luther's waist.

"We don't eat children Kate," Luther replied.

"But this one's a Winchester," she commented. "She'll grow up to hunt us just like her Daddy and her brothers."

"That IS true," Luther replied with a smile, "But still, we don't eat children."

"Let me go!" Brinley demanded as she glanced around to find another man and woman tied to separate posts. The man was unconscious while the woman looked terrified. Blood soaked the front of her white t-shirt and a gag in her mouth stopped her from speaking. Brinley struggled to free herself from the ropes tied around her wrists, but the more she struggled, the tighter they became and she could feel them digging into her skin. "John and my brothers are going to kill you!" she growled.

"Not if we kill them first," Luther responded with a laugh.

"Never! They're a lot smarter than you stupid, blood sucking leeches are!" Brinley shot back as she continued to try and slide her hands from out of the ropes.

"I can see you have a mouth like a Winchester too," Luther laughed. "Shut her up," he ordered to Kate. "We should get some sleep." Kate approached Brinley and sat down next to her.

"I can drain just enough blood to make you unconscious," Kate teased as she breathed on Brinley's neck. Brinley was terrified and wanted to break down in tears, but she didn't want to show her weakness to the vampires and she knew it was just a matter of time before John and her brothers found her. Suddenly, instead of biting her, Kate stuck a dirty rag in her mouth and tied it tightly around her head. Brinley no longer had a voice and the fear became too much. Tears fell from her eyes.

Meanwhile, John and the boys continued to wait in the distance, still having no idea that Brinley was a prisoner inside the nest. "So, you boys really wanna know about this Colt?" John asked.

"Of course," Sam replied.

"It's just a story, a legend really. Well….I thought it was. Never really believed it until I read Daniel's letter. Back in 1835, when Halley's comet was overhead, the same night those men died at the Alamo. They say Samuel Colt made a gun. A special gun. He made it for a hunter, a man like us only on horseback. Story goes he made thirteen bullets, and this hunter used the gun a half dozen times before he disappeared, the gun along with him. And somehow Daniel got his hands on it. They say... they say this gun can kill anything."

"Kill anything like, supernatural anything?" Dean questioned.

"Like the demon that killed Mom and Jess?" Sam questioned.

"Yeah, the demon. Ever since I picked up its trail, I've been looking for a way to destroy that thing. Find the gun and we may have it," John explained.

A few hours later they made their way down to the barn to get the colt back. John jumped through a window and disappeared with the boys following. They surveyed the room and the vamps were sleeping in hammocks. All was quiet. The boys separated from John in the barn and they searched the stalls for the colt. Moments later Sam was shocked when he locked eyes with Brinley. Panic and confusion set in all at once.

"Dean!" he whispered loudly as he rushed to his sister. Sam put a finger up to his lips to signal to her to be quiet as Dean appeared over his brother's shoulder, also shocked to see his sister there. Sam quickly went behind her and began to untie her wrists as Dean kept guard in front of her. Sam was finally able to free her and Brinley dove forward and threw her arms around Dean. He squeezed her reassuringly and then knelt down in front of her.

"Are you ok?" he asked as he pulled the gag from her mouth. Brinley nodded her head and started to cry. Dean could see she was on the verge of a breakdown. "Hey….shhh…you're safe now," he said gently as he grabbed her trembling hands. "We're going to get you out of here. I just need you to hold it together for a little longer. Think you can do that?" Brinley nodded her head in response. Sam noticed the other woman tied to another pole. She appeared to be sleeping or unconscious.

"I'll help her," Sam whispered to Dean as he motioned toward the other woman, "Get Brinley to the car." Dean nodded in agreement. Wasting not time, he grabbed Brinley's hand and led her toward their planned escape route. Sam began to untie the woman and she started to stir. Fear filled her eyes as they opened to find Sam hovering in front her.

"Hey, I'm here to help you," he whispered. Suddenly, the woman roared an unearthly roar and all hell broke loose. The vampires woke, and John was really close at grabbing the colt from a sleeping Luther but instead found himself thrown against the wall by Luther. He picked up a rock and hurled it at the blackened window, letting in the daylight and stunning the vampires.

"Boys, run!" John's voice echoed throughout the barn.
