The next day, Skadi was panicking trying to find Shard a babysitter so that she could get to work at the hospital. Jenny was walking by her and Fist's house when he heard Skadi scream in frustration. She knocked on her door, to which Skadi answered it with her hair in a disarray and her scrubs not neat, as she was struggling trying to put on her shoe while trying to feed Shard a bottle.
Jenny: Something wrong Skadi?
Skadi: Yes. I need a babysitter for Shard, as five whole sectors have been brought to the hospital in critical condition! They need all hands on deck to help sort that mess out, and I can't leave Shard by himself, as Fists is off at work in the MKND cadet academy, and all of Shard's usual babysitters are busy with their own things! I need help!
Jenny: Calm down girl. I'll babysit Shard for you. He shouldn't be that much trouble to look after.
Skadi: Thank you, come on in, and can you finish feeding Shard his bottle while I get ready please?
Jenny (taking Shard from Skadi, feeding the infant the rest of the bottle): Of course.
Skadi: Thank you.
Skadi then let Jenny in, as she then went off to get ready. Skadi then came back to where Jenny and Shard were, fully ready for the day.
Skadi: I left a list of how to care for Shard pinned to the nursery door. It has all the emergency contact numbers on it as well. And before I forget, if he gets fussy, give him his fluffy blue stuffed triceratops. That will calm him down. And no swearing around Shard. I don't want him swearing until he understands what the swear words actually mean fully.
Jenny (now burping Shard): Okay, but I was going to take him back to the base, as I really don't feel all that comfortable having to shrink my hologram down just to fit in your house if you're going to be gone all day. I'll take the list and a fully stocked diaper bag with me.
Skadi: That works for me. I'll call before I come pick him up at the base, okay?
Jenny: Okay.
Skadi: Shard, be a good boy for your Aunt Jenny, okay?
Shard: I will Mom! Don't worry about me!
Skadi (taking Shard away from Jenny temporarily and kissing Shard on his forehead): I know baby. See you later son.
Skadi then handed Shard back to Jenny, then left. As soon as Skadi was out of sight, Jenny checked Shard's diaper, finding it to be soiled. Jenny headed to the nursery, which she recognized as she saw the pinned list there, and changed Shard. As soon as Jenny was finished with changing Shard, she set the infant in the crib as she went around, pulling out a large duffle bag from the armory system, and packing it full of everything she thought she would need to take care of Shard, filling it halfway with lots of clothing and diapers (with lots of changing supplies). Jenny filled the other half with baby formula mix, bottles, and baby food and other baby items, like pacifiers and baby toys for Shard. Once she had finished and picked up the duffle bag, ready to leave, Jenny turned to grab Shard, seeing that the baby had decided to play with his stuffed triceratops quietly in his crib. Jenny smiled and walked over to the crib, looking down at Shard.
Jenny: So, you like stuffed animals a lot, don't you kiddo?
Shard: I do, but Horns is the only one I have right now. And I'm happy with that. But I do wish I had another stuffed animal to keep Horns company when I'm not with him. Horns get lonely very easily.
Jenny: Then we will have to fix that when we get to the base, don't we?
Shard smiled, and held his arms up, with one hand still tightly on one of his stuffed triceratop's arms, making the stuffed animal raise its arm as well, wanting to be picked up. Jenny smiled and picked Shard up gently, along with his triceratops. Jenny then turned around, spying the pram in the corner, and set Shard and his stuffed animal in it, quickly adjusting the pram to be better for her to push at her normal height. Jenny then took Shard to the Gamma 13 base, where Kai was busy setting up the big replicators to be used. He had just finished when Jenny arrived, seeing that the replicators were ready to be tested. Barrett was off spending some time with Kurama, Arteza, and Rodney, so he wasn't at the base then. He sighed, his ever-present sadness on his face. And unfortunately, this wasn't just his normal sadness, as he was upset about Folsom being so harsh on Leica. Kurama had already called Kai the day before, asking him to make sure Folsom didn't try to come hang around Rodney, Erron, and Leica and them, as Kurama and Arteza were afraid Folsom would try that again if he thought the kids might be out of line.
Jenny: Good. Perfect timing.
Kai: Need to replicate something Jen?
Kai took off his work gloves and stuffed them into his back pocket.
Jenny: Yes, but not for me. It's for Shard here. Want to meet him? He's in the pram.
Kai (shrugging): Why not?
Kai then went over, and saw Shard happily laying down in the pram, sucking on a pacifier and hugging his stuffed triceratops. Upon seeing Kai, Shard took out his pacifier, setting it to the side in the pram, and raised his little arms, wanting Kai to pick him up. Kai did so, surprised at how friendly Shard was to him.
Jenny: Shard, this is Kai Shin. But don't worry, you can call him "Uncle Kai."
Shard: Okay. By the way, Uncle Kai, why do you look kinda like Aunt Melody, Uncle Wolfgang, and Uncle Amadeus, but also like a wolf?
Kai Shin: It's because I'm half hedgehog and half wolf, little one.
Shard: Wow! You look so cool!
A thin smile came over Kai's face.
Kai (surprised at the compliment): Thanks Shard. So, Jenny, what did you need to replicate?
Jenny: A new stuffed animal for Shard. He likes them just like a certain brother of ours does. I was thinking of making Shard his own stuffed tiger-fox.
Shard: What's a tiger-fox?
Jenny: I'll show you. One of Kurama and Sheila's daughters is one, and her name is Chern. She's not fully grown yet but she is pretty big right now. She's only four years old, but she is pretty big for her age right now. See? Here's a picture of Kurama and Shelia with Chern.
Jenny pulled up a picture on her phone, showing Shard.
Shard: Wow! Chern's the one in the middle that's purple with pink stripes, right?
Jenny: Yep.
Shard: She's so cute! I wish I could meet her. She looks really friendly.
Jenny: Don't worry about that sweetheart. When we find her, I will make sure she meets you.
Shard: Yay!
Kai: Okay. So I already pulled up the stuffed animal files and selected the tiger-fox. What print did you guys want the stuffed animal to be?
Shard: Ooh! Can it be Aunt Jenny's fur color with its stripes your fur color?
Kai: Sure kiddo.
Kai and Jenny then properly set the replicator to the right settings, as well as adjusting the stuffed animal's size to be about the same size as Shard's stuffed triceratops. As soon as the replicator was done, Jenny handed Shard his new stuffed animal, to which Shard hugged it as tightly as he could.
Shard: I love it! Thank you, Aunt Jenny and Uncle Kai!
Jenny: You're welcome kiddo. And from the looks of your momma's list, it's time for your lunch then your afternoon nap kiddo.
Shard: Okay.
Jenny: Kai, can you watch Shard while I go make his lunch?
Kai: Sure.
Kai took Shard, still hugging his new stuffed animal, and quickly replicated a crib. Once the replicator was done, Farid came in, seeing what was going on.
Farid: Looks like you're feeling a bit better, Kai.
Kai:More or less….
Farid: You worried about something particular?
Kai nodded, and he mouthed that he'd talk about it later.
Farid: I understand, bro.
Kai: In that case, there's an empty room at the end of the hallway leading from the war room. Take the parts of this crib I replicated and set up a crib in that room. That room can be the base's new nursery.
Farid: Sure.
Kai:. And when you're done, replicate and set up a changing table in the nursery as well, along with anything else you think a nursery needs. And make sure that the crib's bedding and mattress is soft for Shard to sleep on. I don't want him not feeling too good because he slept on something that was hard and uncomfortable for him. And replicate a highchair as well.
Farid: No problem, Kai. Look, maybe you oughta chill out and just rest, ok? Just take care of Shard and I got this.
Kai nodded, then took Shard to the kitchen, leaving Farid alone. As soon as Kai was out of earshot, Farid chuckled to himself.
Farid: Ha. He said to replicate the things, he wasn't very specific. But I do have to keep it baby-friendly. Besides, that crib Kai made is boring. I can set up a second one that is way better and cooler than what he replicated. That I can work with. And besides, Kai never said I couldn't decorate the nursery. I think I know exactly what to put up. I just need to replicate the wallpaper first. By the end of this, they're gonna love it!
Farid then got to work on the nursery, while he had set the replicators to create a giant roll of sky-blue wallpaper with cute dragons all over it, as well as a crib that was in the shape of a large friendly dragon. Farid was finishing setting up the changing table when Jenny and Kai came in with Shard, surprised at how quickly Farid had set up the nursery. Farid was going to put up the wallpaper next when they came in. Unfortunately, Folsom came in too.
Shard: OHH! Can I sleep in that dragon crib?! It looks awesome!
Jenny shrugged, smiling, and tucked Shard into the dragon crib for his nap while Folsom gave Farid a dirty look, trying to get some points with Kai and Jenny now.
Folsom: Farid, you went too far.
Farid: No I didn't! I just wanted Shard to feel welcome here, and Kai never said I couldn't replicate that dragon crib! Besides, the other crib he replicated is near the wall. I set it up, and I was about to put up the wallpaper before you guys came in.
Jenny: Folsom, Farid didn't screw up!. This room does look more welcoming than what I had in my head. And I think Shard loves this room already. I am thinking Shard is probably going to want to spend as much time as he can here. Now Farid, you watch over Shard while Kai and I go out to the store. And in any case, Folsom, leave if you're gonna start junk!
Folsom: But-
Jenny: NO. Now, Kai, we need to go to the store.
Kai: Why do we have to go to the store?
Jenny: We need to stock this nursery with all sorts of baby stuff. And I got a feeling that Shard's not the only baby we are going to be interacting with while we are here, and I want to be prepared.
Kai: Okay. Oh, Farid, replicate a baby monitor before we forget. That'll help us keep an eye on Shard when he's by himself in this nursery. And Folsom, don't let me catch you here, got it?
Folsom didn't know what to say, as he was kinda mad now, so he just grunted noncomitally and walked out, his bad mood pretty evident.
Farid: Okay. What should I do when Shard wakes up though?
Jenny (handing Farid the list Skadi left with her): Skadi left a list of Shard's daily schedule. Follow it and there shouldn't be any problems for you.
Farid: Okay. See you two later.
Kai and Jenny then left, as Farid went off to replicate a baby monitor, making sure Shard was okay before he left. While the replicator was going, Farid checked the list, seeing that after Shard's nap was Shard's playtime. Seeing that it was vague, Farid just decided that it was up to him to figure out what "playtime" meant. After an hour, Shard finished his nap, and was waiting for Farid to come and check on him, when he spied the baby monitor on the side of the crib.
Shard (into the baby monitor): Uncle Farid? Are you there?
Farid heard Shard's voice on the monitor, as he was busy eating a sandwich, and immediately went to Shard, seeing the infant looking at him through the bars of the dragon crib.
Farid went over and picked Shard up, with Shard giggling.
Shard: You have a mustard mustache Uncle Farid!
Farid (wiping the mustard away): I was eating a sandwich when I heard you on the baby monitor.
Shard: Okay. Uncle Farid, I have a question.
Farid: What is it?
Shard: Why is Mr. Folsom so mean to you? It's unfair. Aren't the two of you siblings?
Farid: That's a loaded question kiddo. One that I can't really answer all too well for now.
Shard: Okay. I hope that he stops being mean to you.
Farid: I wish that too. Why don't the two of us just play with each other for now? Kai and Jenny still aren't back yet. I guess that they still have a LOT of shopping to do.
Shard: Okay. Let's play pretend!
Farid: Okay. But let's get you changed first. You soiled yourself.
Shard: Okay.
Farid: And don't pee on me. That will negate my powers.
Shard: I'll try, but I can't really control my bodily functions yet.
Farid: That's okay.
Shard (as Farid is changing him): Uncle Farid, what powers do you have?
Farid: I have powers over sand and data manipulation. I can show you my sand powers when I'm finished changing you, okay?
Shard: Okay!
Farid then finished changing Shard, then he set Shard down on the ground and took out a bag of sand. Farid opened the bag and poured it on the ground in front of Shard. He then manipulated the sand into several different things. This amazed Shard, and was watching in awe.
Shard: Wow! Your powers are kinda like Aunt Melody's ice powers!
Farid: Yeah, but can she do this?
Farid then turned himself into a cloud of sand and teleported across the room, leaving Shard just staring with his mouth open.
Shard: That is so cool! I wish I had powers like that! Or any powers at all.
Shard then sighed while putting his hand on a wooden block that was near him. At his touch, the block turned into a small wooden statue of Farid. This time, Farid was amazed, and he quickly teleported back over to Shard, and picked up the figurine.
Farid (holding the figure to show Shard): Shard, you do have powers. You just created this figure of me. It looks amazing.
Shard: Yeah, but I was just thinking of you when I touched the block!
Farid: That gives me an idea of what one of your powers may be, but I want to test it out to be absolutely certain. Okay?
Shard: Okay.
Farid: Let me go get some things first.
Farid then went out, then returned with a lot of different random supplies, like wood, rocks, paper, things like that. Farid then pulled up a picture of Kurama on his phone, while handing Shard a rock.
Farid: If you were thinking of me when you made that statue, you may be able to create one of Kurama out of stone while thinking of him. Try it.
Shard did as Farid told him and as soon as Shard thought about Kurama, he was holding a little stone statue replica of him.
Farid: I wonder…
Farid then pulled up a picture of a pot, and Shard made a replica of it, out of paper, as that was what Farid handed him.
Shard: This is fun! Pull something else up!
Farid: Okay. How about you try to make a statue of this person?
Farid pulled up a picture of Sarin on his phone, and Shard made a stone statue of her. Farid then pulled up more pictures of the rest of Gamma 13, to which Shard created statues of all of them. The two played all day, and into the evening, only pausing for diaper changes and to eat. They were still having fun together when Kai, Jenny, Kurama, Arteza, Erron, Leica,, Barrett, and Rodney came back, with Celadon and Sienna in tow They heard laughing from the nursery, as Farid was teaching Shard how to play chess with all the figurines that Shard had created. Shard had just won the current game, when they entered the nursery.
Kurama: What in the world is going on in here?
Farid: Nothing much. I just taught Shard how to play chess. He's a quick study.
Rodney (coming over and picking up one of the figurines): Shard, where did you get all these mini statues of Gamma 13?
Shard (proud of himself): I made them with my powers!
Arteza: Wow.
Rodney (confused): How did you do it, Shard?
Shard: It was easy! All I had to do was to hold something in my hands and think of somebody, then the thing in my hands transforms into a statue of that person! I can also make other things as well, but I like making statues the most! Watch me!
Shard then took a rock that Farid handed him, and Shard made a small perfect figurine of Rodney.
Rodney (taking the figurine of himself and looking at it): This is impressive, Shard. It looks like this was carved flawlessly.
Jenny: Shard, did Farid remember to feed you when you got hungry?
Shard: Uh-huh!
Jenny: That's good. And Shard, I ran into your father while out shopping, and he and your mother won't be able to pick you up until tomorrow evening at the earliest. They were upset about it because they knew they promised that they would take you to the local park tomorrow. So I'm taking you to the park in their stead.
Shard: Yayy! I love going to the park!
Jenny: Well, it's your dinnertime young man.
Shard: Where should I put these figurines first? Mommy always makes sure I clean up my toys before dinner.
Kurama: I think I know a place for them. I'll take care of the mess in here. You go get your dinner.
Shard nodded, and Jenny picked him up, as Kurama picked up each figurine, seeing that the craftsmanship was impeccable. He really liked the statues of Samantha, Sheila, and Sarin, as well as the one of Carbide.
Kurama (in thought): Shard is really something else. When he grows older, he will make a wonderful Marine. And Jenny did say that he loved stuffed animals as much as I do.
Kurama then took the small figurines of his team, and set them up on the mantle of the fireplace in the war room. He was repositioning the statues when he felt something tugging at his pant leg. He looked down, to see a smiling Shard staring up at him. Shard raised his arms, to which Kurama picked him up and showed Shard where he had put the figurines.
Kurama: This is where I set your figurines up. Now whenever you want to play with them, all you have to do is ask.
Shard (yawning): That's good.
Kurama: Looks like it's somebody's bedtime.
Shard nodded and fell asleep in Kurama's arms as Kurama took him back to the nursery and tucked him into the dragon crib again. Kurama gave Shard his two stuffed animals and kissed Shard on the forehead.
Kurama: Sweet dreams little one.
Shard smiled as he drifted off deeper into dreamland. Kurama watched him sleep for a while, thinking about when he and Sheila would have babies of their own, and of course, Ateza joined him..
Kurama and Arteza (in thought): Sheila, wherever you are, I hope you are okay.
The two of them then left the room, leaving the door cracked a little bit, as they went off to replicate a nightlight for Shard. As soon as Kurama and Arteza had finished replicating the nightlight, they quickly and quietly plugged it in in the nursery, letting the soft light illuminate the room. While that was going on, Rodney had just gotten down to his living quarters in the basement of MKND HQ. He had been wanting to show Kurama and Arteza more of his inventions and blueprints, but he needed to find the particular ones he wanted first, and there were so many that he needed some time. Plus he had to plan his next few days out accordingly, considering his new schedule courtesy of Kurama and Arteza, and this was especially in light of his next MMA match. He changed into his pajama bottoms, but had his wings out, with his pajama shirt and vest in his hands. Rodney flew up to the rafter he used as his bed, and landed there, quickly putting his vest and shirt on, before settling down to sleep. Before he went to sleep however, he tacked up a picture of himself and Kurama and Arteza, plus Celadon and Sienna, having fun together on the ceiling above his head.
Rodney: Man, Kurama and Arteza are fun. I think we may be family for real. It feels nice having them around. Besides, they feel like they are my real dads. I wish they were my real dads. (shaking his head) Come on man, get your head in the game. First find Small Wings and Medium Wings, then find the three of us a family we all can be a part of without having to be split up again. And help Kurama and Arteza find the rest of his team. And I gotta find a way to get away from Kurama and Arteza for a few hours tomorrow so that I can go fight another potential opponent in the MKND MMA ring. Good thing that it's an exhibition match, and Rudolph is a friend of mine. Still wonder how he can manage to pull off the masked reindeer look despite being a full-blooded polar bear.
Back with Kurama…
Kurama walked into his, Arteza, and Sheila's room on the base. He closed the door and leaned up against it. He slid down, tears in his eyes. He was upset because to him, Shard currently represented his, Arteza, and Sheila's desire to have children of their very own. Kurama was sitting against the door crying, his heart so broken, and that was when Arteza manifested. He knelt down, taking his husband in his arms.
Arteza(as quietly as he could): Honey….oh my sweet husband….
Kurama threw his arms around Arteza, hugging him tightly. Kurama just couldn't stop crying and Arteza just held him, rubbing his back. Arteza was just as upset as Kurama was, missing their wife. Arteza loved Sheila as much as Kurama, and Sheila adored Arteza. Having two of Kurama now was the most wonderful thing for her, but now, she wasn't there. As Kurama cried, Arteza began to cry as well, and knowing someone might hear them, Arteza picked Kurama up and took him over to the bed, sitting down with his husband. They just sat there cuddling, distressed and worried as hell. Kurama and Arteza were so scared that Sheila might be hurt, or worse, dead, and it scared the absolute s**t out of them. After a bit, they just fell back on the bed in each other's arms. Kurama and Arteza didn't know what to do, and well, they certainly weren't horny. They weren't a pair of sex fiends who constantly needed to f**k each other silly, but they did have needs, and they also had control. They refused to have sex until Sheila was back with them, and she was, they'd really f**k. Kurama and Arteza decided that being pent up and therefore saving up some very big loads for Sheila was worth it, yet….they really hoped it would be soon that she was found, cause well, they'd need to f**k and get out their tension. And in the end, well, they'd do it later that night in order to be able to sleep better, since Kurama hadn't jerked off since they were all isekai'd to Mobius. He was really gonna need it soon, but for now, he just needed to get all his sadness out. This lasted until midnight, and at that point, Kurama and Arteza decided that they'd turn in for the night, but first Kurama wanted some water.
Kurama: Honey, I'm gonna get some water, do you want some?
Arteza: Yeah, thanks, honey.
Arteza wiped his eyes, and he and Kurama kissed before Kurama left.
Shard meanwhile had been having a terrible nightmare, which mixed up all his terrible memories of his past, and reworked them into a terrible future outcome, where Shard ended up becoming a psychotic murderer, and murdered his parents. Shard woke up screaming his head off, and he hugged his two stuffed animals tightly, crying and afraid. Jenny ran in to see what was the matter, and saw Shard scared out of his mind, crying his eyes out. Jenny walked over and picked him up carefully.
Jenny: What's wrong baby?
Shard (crying): Nightmare!
Shard then started crying even more, and he wound up crying so much that he couldn't even talk. Jenny held him close and let Shard get his tears out, comforting the infant.
Jenny: Don't worry sweetheart. You are safe here. You are with us. You are safe.
Shard just continued to cry into Jenny's shirt, and Jenny decided that in order to find out what scared Shard so badly, she would just talk to Kurama so that he could help Shard. Jenny went out of the nursery, holding Shard close to her chest, and swaddled Shard up with a baby blanket to keep him warm, to find Kurama, finding him walking back to his, Arteza, and Sheila's room, after getting up to get a drink.
Jenny: Good, you're up bro. I need your help.
Kurama: With what sis?
Jenny (slightly removing the blanket to show Shard, who was still crying): With Shard. He had a bad nightmare and woke up screaming. He's scared out of his mind, and threw out his voice from crying so much. Since you are a nightmare specialist, could you please help Shard?
Kurama (grateful for the distraction of his current sorrow): Sure
Kurama: Follow me.
Jenny followed Kurama, and Kurama pulled out his laptop and his nightmare recording gear. Kurama set up the equipment, and hooked Shard up to it. The nightmare replayed clearly for them, and both Jenny and Kurama instantly understood why Shard was so scared, as both adults had looked up Shard and read everything that the MKND had on Shard back when he was a robot, and what Rodney and Sector S told them.
Kurama: No wonder Shard is scared out of his mind. Poor kid had one doozy of a nightmare. Even when my nightmares get bad, they aren't as bad as the one Shard had tonight, that's for sure.
Jenny: Yeah. And I am sure as crud not going to let Shard sleep by himself for the rest of the night.
Kurama: Yeah. And I think Shard may need a bottle of formula. All that crying must have made him lose a lot of water. And Skadi and Fists will be pissed if Shard isn't in the same health condition when she gave him to us to watch.
Jenny: Sure. Here, take Shard and comfort him. Calm him down by singing to him or something like that. And I'll be sure that I bring Shard's stuffed animals with me when I bring the bottle back.
Kurama nodded, as he disconnected Shard and cradled the infant as Jenny went off. Not really thinking about it, Kurama began to sing "Wherever You Are," in Drach, to Shard, which calmed Shard down from crying his heart out to whimpers and sniffles. Jenny returned after Kurama had finished the song, and Shard had calmed down enough. Jenny took Shard from Kurama and fed Shard the bottle, while talking to Kurama, as she noticed how sad Kurama was.
Jenny: Kurama, don't worry bro. Sheila and the others are really tough. They are going to survive, and we WILL find them.
Kurama: But what if the five of us are the only ones who were teleported?
Jenny (burping Shard): I was going to tell you this tomorrow, so that you would wake up hearing good news, but right now is as good a time as any. The Ramses IV was the boat Amadeus was talking about the night we recruited Barrett. I managed to get in contact with them and told them to currently stay underneath Angel Island for now, and keep in its shadow while monitoring it. I know for sure that we don't want anybody evil getting the "Master Emerald," which keeps that entire landmass afloat somehow. I really want to look into the science of that someday.
Kurama: That is good news.
Shard (calmed down now, with a few sniffles): Daddy said that the ancient Echidna scientists worked together to raise Angel Island into the air in order to save and preserve the echidna settlement city of Echidnaopolis from a big meteor that was on a collision course with the city. That's why Angel Island was created.
Kurama: That's interesting Shard. I am wanting to find out more about Angel Island and its history. I'll be sure to ask your father when both he and I have some free time.
Shard nodded and yawned.
Shard: Aunt Jenny, can I sleep with you for the rest of the night?
Jenny: Sure kiddo. You can sleep with me tonight. Don't want you to get anymore nightmares.
Jenny then took Shard out of the room with the baby blanket, Shard's stuffed animals, and the empty bottle, and she took Shard to her room, where she had the basic setup, and hadn't really decorated the room that much yet. Jenny turned in for the night, after changing her hologram's clothing into pajamas, behind a changing curtain, as to not give away her secret of being an AI to Shard yet. After she had changed, Jenny turned in for the night, letting Shard fall asleep on her chest, as she had stimulated a heartbeat in her hologram body. When Kurama came back after a while, Arteza wondered what happened and Kurama told them the whole thing.
Kurama: And yeah, I'm not sure at this point about what it means, but we need to look into it honey.
Arteza: I agree. It would be best if we get started now, as I feel like we'll have a long night ahead of us.
Kurama: Yeah.
Kurama sighed, and Arteza gently rubbed his back, laying his head on Kurama's shoulder.
Arteza: Sweetie, I know we can do this. This is our specialty. And hey, at least now we know where our Aegis ship is. We'll get everyone back together soon.
Kurama nodded and Arteza kissed him deeply, Kurama returning the kiss. After they broke the kiss, they started studying Shard's nightmare and at 3 AM, they finally had to stop and deal with their pent-upness from stress. They knew they had to sooner rather than later, and in any case, they were thorough about the nightmare, and there wasn't anything more to glean from it. So, they stripped down to their boxer-briefs, and both of them decided to f**k in order to calm themselves down.
