"Cyclopsis is one of Rita's most terrifying creations. She hasn't brought him out in over 10,000 years! You'll have to defeat him if you are to release the population of Angel Grove from the dimensional vortex Rita has them trapped. Goldar has taken over piloting Cyclopsis with backup from Lokar. The situation is grave. If you don't win this battle soon, Angel Grove and the entire world is doomed!" Zordon explained.
"We've gotta stop that thing. Billy, what's the update on the Zords?" Jason asked.
"Still not fully re-energized. They took a real beating in the fight against Cyclopsis." Billy replied.
"The Zords still need another 12 hours to be a full power." I added.
"We can't wait that long. We'll take them at half power." Jason said.
My dad and I gave Jason a funny look, and so did Billy when he turned to face Jason.
"Jason! If we do that we risk doing serious damage to the Zords." Billy said.
"We don't have a choice." Jason said.
"There is too much danger in what you propose." Zordon said.
"But Zordon, what about our city? We have to stop it from being destroyed." Kim said.
"Not to mention rescuing all those people trapped in Rita's dimensional vortex." Zack continued.
"They're safe right now, but, if we wait 12 hours it may be too late." Trini added.
"What you are asking has never been tried before. If the Zord's backup fail, you and everything in the Morphing Grid could vanish forever. Do you want to try this?" Zordon asked.
"You know we do, Zordon." Jason replied.
"Yeah." Kim and Zack said together.
"You got it." Trini added.
"Affirmative." Billy finished.
Jason came to me and we talked before they got ready to head back into battle. After the talk, the others came and hugged me because they knew that if things went wrong, I would need all the strength I could muster. My dad even hugged them and that meant a lot to all of us.
"Coordinates are set. Are you ready to morph to the city?" Alpha asked.
"Ready, Alpha." Jason replied.
"Good luck, and let the Power protect you." Zordon said.
The group morphed and went back to battle. We watched the battle and were in shock when the Zords dissolved and the Rangers disappeared. I tried to contact them, but there was nothing. My dad could tell I was worried, so he hugged me to him.
"Alpha, status report." Zordon said.
"Their Zords are safe and being re-energized!" Alpha replied.
"What about the Power Rangers? We haven't heard from them in a while." Zordon said.
"We've lost contact, Zordon! Their communicator frequency is being blocked!" Alpha exclaimed.
"Keep trying, Alpha. You must establish contact with the Power Rangers. Without the Zords they are vulnerable to Rita's attacks." Zordon said.
"Ai, yi, yi, yi ,yi! Starting frequency search now." Alpha said.
I grabbed my necklace and my dad joined me, and we asked my mom to watch over the others and keep them safe.
"Any success in finding the Rangers, Alpha?" Zordon asked.
"It's impossible with their communicators down." Alpha replied.
Just a minute later, Alpha found something.
"I've just found some important information, Zordon. It appears that because Rita's Palace is now on Earth, our computer has been able to penetrate her data-bank." Alpha said.
"Excellent, Alpha. That means we have access to her files of spells and secrets." Zordon said.
"Affirmative, Zordon." Alpha said.
"Alpha, these files could help us reduce Rita's power, even stop her altogether." Zordon said.
"I'd better hurry and tie into her system." Alpha said.
It wasn't too long after Alpha said that, that the Rangers teleported in. We were all happy to see them and they were happy to see us. Jason came over and gave me a tight hug. I hugged him back just as tight. The others soon joined and anyone who saw this would know how close we actually were.
"Rangers! You're okay!" Alpha exclaimed.
"Zordon!" the Rangers yelled.
"Are you all right?" Zordon asked.
"Yeah, we're all in one piece." Zack replied.
"Then there is no time to waste. We may have a way to defeat Rita." Zordon said.
"How?" Jason asked.
"Alpha tapped into Rita's data storage and discovered a weakness in Cyclopsis we can use." Zordon said.
"What do we do?" Trini asked.
"Cyclopsis will adjust to whatever it fights. If you change battle modes frequently it will not be able to keep up." Zordon replied.
"Are the Zords powered up?" Zack asked.
"Ready and waiting for you." Alpha replied.
"Each time you change, Cyclopsis will weaken as it tries to adjust. Use this to your advantage, Rangers. Titanus is now re-energized and is ready for action. When the time is right, call upon the power of Ultrazord. If you fire on Cyclopsis in its moment of weakness, you will be able to destroy it." Zordon said.
"Then there's no time to lose." Jason said.
"Let the power protect you. Remember, the quicker you change modes, the weaker Cyclopsis becomes." Zordon said.
The Rangers morphed and went to finish the battle. The Rangers won and my dad and I teleported back to the park. The rest of the city soon joined us, and Ernie pointed out the Rangers. They headed our way and I smiled when I heard Tommy speak.
"I'll let you guys in on a little secret. They're all totally awesome." Tommy told the kids.
Tommy and I exchanged hugs and I introduced him to my dad. I filled him in on what the others knew and he was happy that we had my dad on our side. The Rangers joined the mayor on stage and we all waited to see what she was going to say.
"As the Mayor of Angel Grove City, it is with great pride that I stand here before you in the presence of true heroes. They have risked their lives countless times for the safety of our city and its people. They are true examples of good triumphing over evil, and now it is time to thank them. They are the Power Rangers." the mayor said.
Everyone cheered and it melted my heart to hear everything around me. After everything at the park, my dad went home, and I joined the others at the Command Center.
"Congratulations, Power Rangers. Victory is yours. You have dealt Rita a serious blow and have proven yourselves to be the mightiest heroes on Earth." Zordon said.
"Thanks, Zordon." Jason said.
"Rangers, the time has come for you to choose again." Zordon said.
"What do you mean?" Kim asked.
"You have gone far beyond the call of duty and saved your world from a terrible fate. And although the danger has not passed completely, you may now choose whether you wish to remain Power Rangers or return to your regular lives. The decision is yours." Zordon replied.
All of us exchanged looks and I knew exactly what they were going to say and I stand with their decision.
"There's no decision to be made, Zordon. I think we all feel the same way." Jason said.
"Yeah, we're the Power Rangers." Kim said.
"To the end." Trini added.
"The reason you chose us was to stop Rita, but it doesn't end there." Zack continued.
"There are other villains. Other crimes to protect the city from." Billy said.
"Zordon, you've taught us what truth, honor, and real courage are all about. We don't want to abandon that now." Trini continued.
"So, in other words, you can't get rid of us." Zack finished.
"I am very pleased to hear you say those things. The world is very luck to have you, and so am I. May the power protect you always." Zordon said.
"Sorry, Rangers. I've caught the computer virus." Alpha said as he kept sneezing.
The gang did their Power Ranger yell and I'm just happy to know that they'll still be protecting the world.
