Sitting on Strixs' back as she flew through the air I held onto her with my left hand, while I held my phone in my right. Reading the congratulations texts from my friends, and girlfriend, about winning this years Indigo Conference.

One of the goals I had been striving to achieve ever since I became a Pokemon trainer six years ago and began my journey.

Now I am seventeen.

'Man, time sure can fly when you're having fun.' I thought.

Especially for me.

Since once upon a time Pokemon were simply both nothing more than fictional beings that existed only in games and anime.

But now they are just as real as me.

A fact that has never ceased to amaze me ever since I was reborn in the world of Pokemon all those years ago.

And it is a fact I am sure will never stop amazing me until my second life comes to an end.

Which I hope does not happen for many many more years.

I mean I haven't even grown past the age of when I died in my previous life.

Which was twenty-years old.

So there is no way in hell I am kicking the bucket and going to meet Arceus before I at least reach past the age of twenty in this second life of mine.

Not to mention I have too much to live for.

When I finished reading all the congratulations texts I put my phone in my pants pocket.

Just as I did Strix arrived at our destination.

The home of my family.

A three-story house, situated just on the outskirts of Olivine City.

Looking down at my childhood home I put a small smile on my face and felt a wave of nostalgia hit me as the memories from my second childhood came to the forefront of my mind.

"Good times, good times." I mused.

Strix beginning her descent towards the backyard of my family home as I did.

While Strix did this the smile on my face got bigger as I noticed my family standing in the backyard. All four of them holding up a white banner filled with big black block letters that said 'Congratulations Magnus' on it.

My heart warmed at the sight of this.

In no time at all Strix landed on the ground.

When she did I easily slipped off her large back.

Since Strix is as at least twice as large as the rest of her species. Her height being 9'5".

Don't ask me why she's so large, because I have no idea.

Some experts I have discussed Strixs' size with suggested it might have something to do with her diet, environment, or a combination of both. Though none of those experts could ever agree on the reason she was so big.

Not that is truly matters to me.

What does is that Strix is on my team and has never let me down when its counted.

She's a true friend and partner.

Which is all I need to know.

Her large size is just a plus.

Especially when it comes to battles.

I can't even count the number of opponents I've faced over the years who have almost wet themselves upon seeing my near 10 foot tall Skarmory.

Those were truly some hilarious moments.

Made more so when some of those trainers realized that despite her large size Strix is actually quite friendly and docile.

Not like some of my other Pokemon.

Specifically my battle-maniac trio.

Don't even get me started on them.

Just thinking about some of their shenanigans over the years gives me a small headache.

Moving my thoughts away from that particular train of thought I released the rest of my Pokemon.

When I did they immediately began relaxing, since we are at my family home.

Seeing that all of them were doing well I turned around and focused my attention on my family.

"Welcome home Magnus." My mother Merida spoke.

"That was some amazing battling you showed at the Indigo Conference." My father Julian said.

"Yes, it was truly wonderful to watch my boy." My grandpa Myron spoke. A smile on his face.

"Big brother, you were so cool." My younger sister Jasmine happily exclaimed.

Oh and if you are wondering then the answer is yes. The Jasmine who is my younger sister is the same Jasmine that becomes the Olivine City gym leader in the future.

But right now she's nothing more than my adorable kid sister who has yet to even start her Pokemon journey.

Though since her eleventh birthday just passed all of that is about to change.

Because for whatever reason in this version of the Pokemon universe trainers are not allowed to start their journey's until age eleven. Rather than ten like in the anime.

Don't ask me why that's just how it is.

Like many other things that are different in this Pokemon world when compared to the anime, games, and even the various Pokemon manga.

Well, so long as those changes don't affect me and those I care about too much I really don't mind them.

"Thank's you all." I told my family.

Once I did so the party I knew they had planned, since that's just how my family does things, to celebrate my winning of this year's Indigo Conference began.

Bringing out all of my favorite dishes from the kitchen to the tables set up in the backyard, and several different beverages and desserts, my family pulled out all of the stops for my victory celebration.

A celebration I enjoyed with all my heart.

As did my team.

Since they worked just as hard to win the Conference as me.

More so since they were the ones on the field battling.

During which they met and even exceeded my expectations.

I truly couldn't ask for a better team of Pokemon.

The victory celebration went on for several hours until it finally came to an end.

By the time it did the sun had set and the moon was beginning to rise in the night sky.

Sitting in a chair Jasmine slept softly.

Having fallen asleep minutes after the party ended.

My parents and grandpa noticing this, my dad went over to Jasmine and gently scooped her up in his arms.

He then started heading towards the house, where I knew he would take her to her room and tuck her into bed.

Since he used to do that with me all the time when I was younger.

After dad and Jasmine left my mom, grandpa, and I went to work cleaning up the aftermath of the victory party.

Once we were finished my mom headed inside.

Leaving me and my grandfather alone.

Sitting in a pair of chairs we both gazed up at the rising full moon in a comfortable silence.

Which my grandpa Myron eventually broke.

"So, champion of the Indigo Conference. That is quite the accomplishment, Magnus." My grandpa began. "Tell me, do you have any thoughts on what you will do next?" He asked.

But I knew what my grandpa Myron really meant.

He wanted me to give him an answer to the question he posed to me a few days ago after I was crowned champion of the Indigo Conference.

My grandpa wanted me to answer him whether I would take up his position as gym leader of the Olivine City gym.

"I do grandpa." I replied. "And I'm sorry to say my plans don't include becoming Olivine s gym leader." I told him clearly. "Sorry."

My grandfather shook his head. "No. There is no need for you to apologize Magnus. If that is not the path you wish to take then I will not force you."

"Thank you grandpa." I replied.

"You're welcome." He retorted. "But now you have me curious. What are your goals for the future then?"

"I wish to become a member of the Elite Four." I instantly replied. Looking my grandfather directly in his eyes when I did.

"The Elite Four you say?" My grandpa questioned. "My, that is quite the goal you've set for yourself." He spoke. Wearing a grin on his face. "But if anyone can do it I'm sure it is you."

"Thanks for the vote of confidence grandpa. But we both know things aren't going to be that simple." I spoke.

Since the Elite Four are no joke.

They are the strongest trainers in a region, just below the champion.

Defeating one will not be easy. I know this.

But becoming a member of the Elite Four is one of the goals I have set for myself so I will achieve it.

Besides, to accomplish some of my other goals I need to become an Elite Four member.

So yeah, Elite Four here I come.

"True." My grandfather agreed. "But you've already cleared a big hurdle in reaching your goal by winning the Indigo Conference." He spoke.

For the winner of the Indigo Conference is given the right to challenge the Elite Four. Either for their position or in regards to trying to become champion of a region. The right to challenge being active until a new champion of the Indigo Conference is selected.

Meaning I have an entire year to make my way into the Elite Four.

But there's no way I'm going to wait that long.

"Right. And on that note grandpa there is something I want to ask you." I said.

"Oh, and what might that be?"

"I want to have a full battle against you without you holding anything back." I told him.

Since although my grandpa and I have battled numerous times over the years ever since I became a Pokemon trainer I could always tell during our battles that he never truly went all out against me.

Which was fine when I was a young fresh trainer just starting out, but now that needs to stop.

Because if I am going to make my way into the Elite Four then I need a true understanding of where my current strength lies, and one of the ways to get that measure is fighting against the main team of a gym leader. Since they are just below the Elite Four in terms of strength and if I can't beat a gym leader in a full on battle then I have no place challenging for a spot in the Elite Four. For if I did I would lose my position in it as quickly as I gained it. A situation I do not want to occur. Hence why I am asking this of my grandfather.

Hearing my words my grandfather stared at me for several seconds before responding.

When he did he had a smile on his face.

"Sure." He replied. "Just don't cry when this old man whoops you."

"Yeah, we'll see about that." I retorted. Putting a smile on my own face.

My grandfather and I then shared a laugh.

Once we did we both finally decided to turn in for the night.

As I entered my room, changed into my pajamas, and then slipped into my bed I couldn't stop thinking about the challenge I had just made to my grandfather and his acception of it.

It has my adrenaline pumping.

I truly can't wait for our battle to take place.

A/N: Hello My readers and fans just as promised I have put out the first chapter of my revised Gridiron Lord story. A story I have many ideas for. Now as you can see the MC is slightly different, being related to the future gym leader Jasmine.

You can also see he is not immediately in the Elite Four and will work his way up to it. Having several battles to prove his worth to join.

Also as some of you may have noted the MC is already in a relationship. Which I have never written before but I am eager to try. Don't worry though I will make sure it doesn't take too much away from the epic Pokemon battles. Though some chapters will. As for who the MC is in a relationship with, well just continue reading the story to find out.

Now concerning lemons/sex scenes. I am going to write some. But I would like your opinions on if they should be part of the main story or placed in auxiliary chapters all on their own.

Let me know as soon as possible.

Advanced chapters of this story will be available on my Paetron account.

Here is the link for it: /ArifuretaForever

Until next time readers.
