Chapter 18

Caroline POV

I woke up with one thought in my head. Damn I'm sore. The few days I'd been here haven't been kind to me. But I was currently snuggled against Elijah which made it all worth it.

I stretched as much as I could, trying not to wake him, but with his hand on my belly it was impossible. I felt the grip around my waist tighten slightly and felt him nuzzle into my hair and kiss my neck.

I rolled over to face him, keeping my eyes closed and enjoying the moment.

"hmmm. What time is it?" I mumbled

He laughed quietly. "it's about 7 in the morning, My love," he said quietly.

I groaned. "I slept all night? We were supposed to wake up when Davina arrived."

"Yes, well, given all that you've been through recently we all decided you needed sleep more than you needed to play host to Miss Claire," he said.

I grumbled at that and snuggled closer to his chest.

"Well where is everyone?" I asked

"Marcellus is out shopping with Davina for whatever she'll need here. Niklaus and Rebekah have gone to gather information on the witches and Bess and Bonnie are back at Bess's house," he explained.

"Hmmm. So we have the house to ourselves, is what you're saying," I asked quietly, placing small light kisses on his chest leading up to his neck.

He gave a rough laugh.

"That we do Wildflower," he murmured.

He suddenly used his speed to flip me onto my back, hovering over me, pinning my hands beside my head with his own.

"And what shall we do with all this time, Miss Gerard-Bennett?" he murmured, leaning down to kiss and nip at my neck.

I moaned and moved my legs to frame his hips, wrapping them around his back.

Our centers met and we both groaned at the connection.

Elijah ground his arousal into my covered core and I damn near whimpered.

"Elijah, please," I begged. Unsure of what I was even begging for.

He ground his hips against mine again before he finally reached my level of impatience and tore my leggings off.

I reached for his shirt, fumbling with the buttons before saying fuck it and just ripping the damn thing open.

Next to go was my shirt and it met the same fate as my pants.

Elijah reached out to run his hand over my breast. I shuddered.

"So beautiful. My life, my love," he whispered before leaning down to kiss me, swiping his tounge against mine in a bid for dominance which I gladly relinquished. He reached down rubbing me over my underwear and I gasped.

"Elijah, I can't wait, I need you," I said.

Elijah stood and pushed his pants down taking his boxers with them before climbing back up on the bed, removing my underwear before sliding between my legs. He kissed me deeply before positioning himself at my entrance and slowly sliding in.

We both moaned at the feeling of finally being connected once more.

"So long," he moaned. "I've been without your heat for so long." He said pushing all the way in. He gave me a moment to adjust to his size before I begged him to move.

He slowly pulled out before thrusting back in.

"Fuck, Elijah," I moaned.

"Oh how I've missed that dirty mouth of yours," he growled before setting a steady pace, thrusting into my hot core and pulling out slowly. It was torture.

"Elijah I need….I need," I panted.

"tell me," he murmured. "tell me what you want."

"Oh god. Harder," I gasped.

Quicker than I could breath he had me flipped over on all fours.

"Like this? You want to feel me deep inside of you while your walls milk my release from me?" he purred, thrusting back in hard.

"Fuck Elijah! Yes!" I cried.

He grabbed my hips and slammed back into me again and again.

"I'm so close," I moaned

"Cum for me, Caroline," he whispered, still thrusting into me at a brutal pace while his hand reached around and began rubbing in exactly the right spot.

I exploded. With a cry my orgasm tore through me clenching his member hard.

Elijah moaned loud.

"So tight," he panted, still thrusting through my orgasm.

From the strain on his face I could tell he was close. He pulled me upright against him, my back hitting his chest while he continued to pound into me, another orgasm beginning to build again.

"Cum, Elijah. I want you to cum inside me," I whispered into his ear, knowing it would trigger his release and mine.

He groaned as his thrusts became unsteady.

My second orgasm blasted through me. My moan joined by Elijah's, his thrusts stuttering as he spilled deep inside of me.

"Oh fuck. Fuck Caroline," he moaned, riding out the last shocks of his orgasm.

I collapsed on my side on the bed, Elijah following after me, curling around my back, both of us panting and in need of a shower.

"God's I missed that," he murmured nuzzling back into my neck.

I could only nod my agreement, utterly spent.

Elijah took notice and untangled himself to stand up, going to the washroom and coming out with a wet towel to help clean me up. He threw the towel in the laundry bin and climbed back in beside me, pulling the covers over us.

"Sleep my, love," he whispered, kissing me on the forehead.

I was out within minutes.

"Caroline."

I was not even fully awake. Who was whispering my name?

"Sweetheart wake up," the voice whispered.

"I don't want to Elijah and I'm growing your children so I think I'll win this argument," I grumbled into my pillow

There was a laugh.

"She might be a lost cause, brother," the voice laughed at normal volume.

My eyes snapped open. That wasn't Elijah. That was…..

I flipped over with a speed that rivaled the vamps I lived with.

My eyes widened.

" Kol?! " I screeched.

Kol stuck his fingers in his ears.

"Darling I might be dead but even that screeching still hurts my ears," he whined.

A laugh behind him made me look up.

"Finn," I whispered.

"Hello, sister," he murmured with a smile.

"I'm still dreaming," I muttered. "I must still be asleep."

"No, darling, you are very much awake," Kol said with a snicker.

"Don't you laugh at me, Kol Mikaelson!" I chided. Apparently it was loud enough to warrant an audience. The door burst open and Elijah and Nik came rushing in.

"What is it? I heard you yelling. Are you okay? Are the babies okay?" Elijah asked in a rush.

I laughed. "Elijah, breathe. I'm fine. Just startled. And very confused," I said with a huff.

I turned to Kol and Finn who stood by, watching the scene.

"How am I seeing you?" I asked in awe.

Nik looked at me and looked at the blank space I was staring.

"Um, brother. Maybe the events of the past days have finally gotten to her and she's finally lost it. Caroline," he said my name loudly and slowly. "we are going to get you some help, okay?" he stated just as slowly, as if I was an idiot.

I scowled at him.

"Shove it up your ass, Niklaus. I'm not going crazy. Kol Finn are standing right there," I gestured to the empty space.

Elijah and Nik looked at eachother with confusion.

"They can't see us, Poppet," Finn said.

I stared for a moment.

"But, then why can I?" I asked.

"Whatever Mikael did to pull you to the other side had consequences. You can now see us since we were there," Kol explained.

A hand touched my arm.

"Wildflower, can you please explain what is happening?" Elijah asked.

I shook my head. "apparently whatever your father did to pull me to the other side had repercussions. I can now see Finn and Kol since they were there," I explained.

"But if you can see them because they were present at the time," nik started slowly, the wheels in his brain turning. Suddenly his face paled and he looked up at me and Elijah. "that means father can speak to you to," nik finished in a whisper.

I looked to Finn and Kol foe confirmation and the looks on their faces was all I needed to see.

After a few panic ridden minutes courtesy of Elijah and Nik, I finally called an end to it and grabbed the nearest phone to call Bess and Bonnie.

I quickly explained we could use there help and after promises from them to be there quickly, I hung up and took a breath.

I looked at Finn and Kol and my eyes began to tear up.

"I really missed you guys," I said emotionally.

I went to move to hug them but soon realized I couldn't and broke down in tears.

"Love, we're not actually alive. You may be able to see us but we can't interact with anything, touch anything. I'm sorry Caroline," Kol said standing close beside me trying to offer me comfort.

"this bloody one sided conversation is going to get old real quick," Nik muttered.

"Tell Nik to blow it out his arse, try being dead and see how old it gets," Kol laughed.

I laughed through my tears and Nik looked at me in confusion and I just shook my head, not willing to repeat it.

Nik threw his hands up.

"See?!" he exclaimed before walking out of the room.

We all followed after him to wait on Bess Bonnie.

We sat in the parlor quietly for a few minutes before they showed up.

Elijah stood to let them in only to have the door open and Bonnie and Bess walked in with Rebekah.

"I saw this lot knock and figured they were expected," she said, walking to the bar to pour a drink.

I walked to hug bess and Bonnie.

"Child, you're going to give me a heart attack with all this danger you keep getting into," Bess said softly, tucking a curl behind my ear.

"Danger? What now," Bekah asked, taking a sip of her drink.

"I can see Kol Finn," I stated plainly.

Bekah spit her drink out. "Um. Pardon? You what?" she said, wiping at the drips on her face.

"Real Classy, Bekah," Kol snickered.

"Kol," Finn admonished with a roll of his eyes.

I turned to Bess and Bonnie and explained the situation to them.

"Where?" Bekah said quietly.

I knew what she meant. "Finn is standing infront of the window. Kol is sitting on the ground beside him," I said.

She turned in their direction, tears welling up.

"Finn, Kol," she sobbed. "I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry," she cried.

They both had tears in their eyes as well.

"Tell her, we know. And that we love her and miss her," Kol said.

"All of them. We miss all of them," Finn said.

I repeated their response and Nik walked over to put an arm around Bekah.

Elijah came and grabbed my hand, leading me to the couch and gesturing for bess and Bonnie to sit as well.

"Can we bring them back?" I asked instantly.

"It's…possible. It's dangerous magic, a lot of it," Bess explained.

"I'll do whatever it takes" Bonnie said immediately.

I looked at her in shock and confusion.

She cleared her throat.

"I have to. They didn't deserve today and even though I didn't have a direct hand in it, I didn't prevent their deaths either. They're dead because of my friends and me. I gotta do whatever I can to help," she explained.

My eyed widened when she explained that she had been partially responsible for their deaths. Although her willingness to help, helped clear any anger I had towards her.

I nodded and Bekah spoke up.

"Davina. Davina would be able to help," she said.

"Davina Claire? That's one powerful witch. She'd definitely be able to help. Hell she might even be able to do it on her own," Kol said.

I relayed his message and Bekah excused herself to call Marcel and ask him to return with Davina.

"Is there any way to make it so we can hear them or see them? That way it's not all on Caroline to be telephone between us?" Nik asked.

Bess nodded. "Now that I can do. I need a room, one where you'll all be happy meeting in. I have to line the room in chalk for the spell. They'll only be visible in there. They can still go where they want but if they leave the room, only Caroline will be able to see them," she explained.

"Here," Elijah said. "This is the main room. We all always meet in here, sit in here, congregate in here. This should be the room."

Bess nodded and went to gather her things.

She came back in and her and Bonnie set the boundry for the spell and lit a bunch of candles before Bess lit something sweet smelling in a bowl.

"it's mullein, mugwort and wormwood. Helps with spirit communication," Bonnie explained.

I nodded my head and waited anxiously for whatever happened next.

Bess sat and began speaking the spell in another language. Both Finn and Kol stood up and walked toward her. Suddenly, she shouted something in latin and slammed her hands down on the ground hard. Kol and Finn vanished with a flash of light before the smoke from the burning herbs began filling the room.

I waved my hand in my face and stood up, Elijah at my side. The smoke began to clear and Kol and Finn stood beside Bess looking around.

"I don't feel any different," Kol muttered.

Bekah gasped.

"Kol?" she said.

Kol looked at her, then looked at me.

I walked forward slowly until I stood infront of them.

I cautiously reached a hand out to Finn.

It made contact with his arm and I collapsed in tears. Finn caught me before I hit the ground and I sobbed in his arms, Finn quietly murmuring words of comfort, tightening his hold around me.

Rebekah ran at Kol and jumped into his arms, crying. Kol wrapped her in a hug and tucked his face into his hair, a few tears slipping down his face. Bekah released him and Kol moved to stand infront of Nik and Elijah.

"Nik," Kol started.

Nik held up his hand to stop him, before wrapping him Ina Fierce hug.

"I missed you little brother," he murmured.

I untangled myself from Finn as the hugging of all the siblings commenced.

Finn finally got to Nik and they just stared at eschother. I looked at Elijah in confusion. He leaned over and whispered, "they have a very rocky past. They've both hurt each other tremendously."

I looked back at the two brothers.

Finn held out his hand.

"Truce, brother?" Finn asked.

Nik looked at his hand for a moment before wrapping Finn in a hug as well.

"Beygones brother. New beginnings," Nik said.

Finn breathed a sigh of relief before wrapping his arms around Nik.

Kol clapped his hands together.

"Now that that's settled, how the fuck do we keep father out of Carolines head?" he asked.

No one had an answer for that.
